I arrived between 1 and 2 in the afternoon and started with Batman, which is a very fun coaster. The restraints felt extremely comfortable and secure. It can leave you a little dizzy, but it is definitely worth riding. After walking around for a bit, I made my way to Wicked Cyclone. The lines were very long, but if you come to the park often, you know which rides are worth the wait. I spent about two hours in line, and it ended up being my favorite ride of the day. Afterwards, I grabbed some ice cream near the Starbucks at the entrance. It was decent, though a bit pricey. Two cups came out to about twenty five dollars even with the season pass discount. Next, I headed to Gotham City Gauntlet and then Supergirl Sky Flyer, both of which had very short lines. After that, I rode Scream, which only had about a twenty minute wait and is another one of my favorites. I then went back toward the Batman area to ride Riddler Revenge. It does jolt your head around a bit, but it was not too bad, and the wait time was reasonable. To finish the day, I tried the new coaster Quantum Accelerator. It may not look very intense, but for a family coaster it is surprisingly good. It is very fast, has some nice airtime, and features sharp yet smooth turns that make it feel unique. Unfortunately, Superman was closed during my visit. Overall, I have been coming to this park every summer, and it remains one of the best out there, especially if you enjoy classic coasters.

You should have confidence that if your bag goes the scanner and handed to a security team member, you should be the one to get it back. Its not the case with six flag security. It took them hours to pull the cameras and refused to show it to us. It has been handled awfully. They do not care. I had my car keys in the bag and was forced to get a locksmith. They have done nothing and it's upsetting how little they are willing to help.

When I ride - all I am thinking about is the fun of the moment. The name is correct! My mind is erased on here and I love it! It is one of the reasons I love coasters... Take a break, rest my mind, and have a blast! Simple break down since it's not like some record breaker or something - Top suspended coaster roller coaster. It's not new but sure does travel smoothly. There is little to no line & I enjoy the roller coaster! The front, back, it's all great! I plan to use my Six Flags 2016 season pass and be on this roller coaster more than once every single visit. It's a great coaster at this park and you can actually RIDE it without waiting forever and ever and ever. Life is great and my mind was cleared from the life struggles we all face because... LIFE IS A ROLLER COASTER! Ride flying high and free... It's to short to not clear our mind and live it up. This coaster is simple awesome fun, a total BLAST, and it makes me HAPPY. This classic wooden coaster has history -- real Riverside Park DNA -- and that alone gives it a certain charm you can't manufacture. But once you get past the sentimental value, the cracks start to show. The biggest issue is the line experience, or honestly, the lack of one. There's no staff presence helping guests form or maintain any kind of organized queue, so the line turns into a free‑for‑all. People cutting, groups merging, confusion everywhere -- it takes away from the fun before you even reach the station. And speaking of the station, the ride itself feels like it's running on the bare minimum. For an older coaster, you expect a little rattle, but this feels more like low maintenance than vintage charm. Thunderbolt deserves better upkeep, especially given its legacy at the park. At the end of the day, the nostalgia is notable -- even special -- but the overall experience doesn't match the potential. With some attention to operations and maintenance, this could easily climb back into must‑ride territory. Hold on to your seats and try to enjoy

From the moment that iconic red-and-blue train dispatches, you know you're in for something legendary. The climb up that towering lift hill feels like a slow-motion drumroll, and then -- boom -- you're launched into one of the most exhilarating first drops in the entire park. The wind hits, the track disappears beneath you, and suddenly you're flying in a way that actually earns the Superman name. The best part is the airtime. Those long, smooth hills deliver that perfect weightless float that keeps you grinning from ear to ear. The layout is fast, clean, and surprisingly re-rideable for such a massive steel coaster. Even the turns feel like they were engineered for maximum fun, not just intensity. The theming is simple but effective, the crew keeps the line moving, and the whole experience feels like a flagship attraction that still holds up against newer coasters. If you're at Six Flags, this is a must‑ride, no excuses. Final verdict: A top-tier thrill machine that delivers every single time. Five stars, no hesitation.

This ride does breakdown quite a bit however and was not ready for us to ride during rope dropping. People complain about the restraints, but I felt they were not too bad. I do prefer the T-Bar restraints. Operations were alright. They were running 2 trains, but later on the day they switched to 1 train as it was nearly a walk on. I ended up riding the ride 10 times as the park was not busy. I probably would have rode more if they closed at 11pm, but I am sure the park would have been more busy. I do enjoy the music they play while going up the lift hill. Overall, this is a fun and intense ride.

Reserve ahead of time especially on weekend days when it's hot out because they do sell out. It's crowded in the picnic areas but we were having so much fun in the water we barely got out. If you are overweight or not reasonably athletic you will probably want to bring a chair. Our favorite parts were the highest zip lines and the big slide because the wait time was more reasonable for both. We got wakeboarding passes but it was so crowded and slow moving we didn't even try. The crowds thin out after 4 so if you don't want to spend all day come after noon. 10-11am and you are waiting in line to get in even if you did the waiver in advance.

However, when planning our trip this year, we had an unfortunate experience with Brownstone's customer service. Due to COVID restrictions, the park understandably had to limit their daily capacity. This limited capacity caused Brownstone to sell out much farther in advance than a regular summer (especially for weekends). This required us to purchase tickets in July for our usual trip in August, not knowing what the weather would look like for that weekend. When the weekend came, Hurricane Laura was moving through the area. The night before our trip, the forecast for the entire day was showing at least 85% chance of thunderstorms the entire day. My group included people who were planning to travel 5+ hours round trip for the park. Needless to say, with the thunderstorm forecast and our long trip lengths, we wanted to reschedule to a new day. I called Brownstone the night before our trip (Fri), asking about my options for refund/rescheduling. The operator told me that the park would remain open in the storm, and that there were no refunds (Note: When I asked about rescheduling, she did NOT mention rescheduling to a new day as an option). We did not feel safe swimming in water with thunder and lightning, and took the hit losing $273 in tickets. On the day after our trip, Brownstone messaged me on Facebook messenger saying that they DID in fact have the option to reschedule tickets to a new day, and asked me to call the office to reschedule. After calling Brownstone a second time, I was told differently, yet again, that I could not reschedule my tickets since I had not done so before my booking (even though I had called the day before to ask about my options, and was not told I could reschedule). The Brownstone employee was incredibly unpleasant to talk with, and again stated that our $273 would not be refunded. I was incredibly frustrated by the inconsistency in the information I was being given from each Brownstone employee I spoke with. I usually love this place, which is the only reason I am not giving it 1 star based on this experience. However, I am not sure if I will now be a returning customer - I am empathetic of the current pressure put on businesses during the COVID pandemic, but was disappointed by the inconsistent and terrible customer service on top of my loss in $273, even after being a returning customer for years. Be certain of your planning to this park before you pay!
