Great light display - well worth the $ - buy tix ahead online - 2 lines to enter which narrow to one - parking lights as you go through, add on of light up wand available for extra $ - about 45 mins from CT - such a perfect Christmas night! The lights are all working which is not the case at some of these drive through attractions at Christmastime.

Always a great display and something adults and kids enjoy. We weren't able to stop at the craft fair this year but hope to next time. The line to get in can be a bit long but once you pay it moves fairly smoothly. The various scenes they create are fantastic.

Our toddler loved this, and we did, too! Regular price is $21 a car, we had a $5 off coupon from someone who had gone on a previous day and they passed it along to us. It was about a 35 - 45 min drive thru, and it was beautiful! We especially loved the carousel of blue and white lights, and the horse drawn carriages where the horses and wheels seemed to be in motion. You can tune your car radio to a station that plays holiday music, which adds to the experience. We will definitely come again in future years!

I know there are mixed reviews about this festive event, however I honestly enjoyed it!!! Maybe because I'm the type of person who can listen to Mariah Carey's Christmas album all year long. I thought this was a magical adventure. You drive around the park gazing at gorgeous holiday lights and there is a small fair type set up for the kids to have some fun on rides and meet that dude from the North Pole. There was also a fire pit set up if you wanted to make smores. The smores and kettle corn vendor is cash only. The main concession stand does take credit cards. I want to go back tonight. I am so in the holiday mood now!!! Talk soon....off to listen to some Mariah Carey. Cheers Darlinnngs!!! (In the voice of Mariah)

I have been to Bright Nights every year for the past few years, and I definitely recommend it. Even as a Jew, I find it very nice to look at. I opt not to listen to their Christmas music, because that isn't something I enjoy, but it doesn't take away from my enjoyment. I find it so amazing what they can do with the lights, and although it doesn't change much year to year I still keep going back. I did one year decide to try the horse drawn carriage ride since I thought it sounded nice. Much to my surprise it was just a big group of us going for about 2 minutes and that was it, definitely not worth it! Also watch your valpack for a coupon or ask someone who has already been because they give you $5 off your next visit with your receipt.

WORST $21 IVE EVER SPENT. No, seriously. Don't waste your time or money coming here. Over an HOUR to get into the park. Why is there no emergency exit for families who realize their egregious mistake by entering this trap? Why is this even advertised as one of the best places to see Christmas lights? I'd like know who decided that...then find them and punch them in the face.

We go every year. They don't have too much change from year to year but it's still spectacular to see regardless.

Ask the Community - Bright Nights At Forest Park

Is this rain or shine? Would hate to do the drive there and find out it's closed because of rain.

I'd call ahead and ask they are pretty good Although towards the end of our show it did start to sprinkle and I think it is rain or shine

After the first group boarded and say that was everyone, the driver took that as that was the whole wedding - and after dropping them off, he went home! We had 100 guests stranded at a hotel waiting on a bus that didn't come back. Neither the driver nor King Grey management provided a day of point of contact so we had no way of getting in touch. fortunately Michael's Limo (another nearly service) agreed to pick up the guests within the hour and saved the day. The worst part was that when I booked King Grey, they told me that other services in the area weren't "reliable". If only I knew they were talking about themselves! King Grey did refund me the full cost of the shuttle for the mistake (thus the second star) but I much rather would have had the wedding go as planned than have gone through this.

I get it trips get cancelled when there aren't enough people signed up for it. But in this case, they didn't even bother to tell me/us. Even got the confirmation/reminder email the day before. So being at the pickup point and its 5 minutes after we're supposed to leave, I call them to see what's going on and then they tell me it got cancelled and I should've been told Tuesday, but obviously wasn't and again, even got the confirmation/reminder email the day before. As someone that doesn't get a lot of time out work to burn a day off with nothing to show for it is extremely frustrating, and honestly, I just can't risk getting burned again. The owner Ted called later that day offering to make it right and I was refunded the money for the trip and the other trip I cancelled but I can't risk burning another day off with nothing to show for it. The people have always been nice, so I won't completely knock them, but beware even getting a confirmation email the day doesn't mean the trip is happening.

Ted picked us up from the Visitor information Center two minutes prior to 7:00am. The mini coach bus was pretty full from the first pickup location. We then went on our way to the third pickup location. After our mini coach bus was full, we crossed Bourne Bridge to Woods Hole Terminal in Cape Cod to take a 45 minute Steamship Authority's ferry ride to Oak Bluffs. The ferry ride was smooth. When we got to Oak Bluffs, Ted told us about the history of Martha's Vineyard and gave us a map. First, we went to the fishing village of Menemsha for lunch and I walked to Menemsha Public Beach. Stanley Larsen, owner of Menemsha Fish Market, came on board the bus and showed us the jaws of a great white shark he caught in 1983 while swordfishing. Next, we went to the Aquinnah Cliffs Overlook to admire the beautiful cliffs of Aquinnah and Gay Head Light. This was my favorite part of the whole trip. Then, we explored the lovely harbor of shops and homes in Edgartown. I walked to the Edgartown Harbor Lighthouse, which is very close to Harbor View Hotel. Ted talked to us about the Chappaquiddick incident that occurred sometime around midnight, between July 18 and 19, 1969, while standing in front of the Harbor View Hotel looking out at the Poucha Pond. On the way to Oak Bluffs, we stopped at the "Jaws Bridge," a popular spot for jumping into the water despite signs prohibiting it. Lastly, we saw the gingerbread cottages and the tabernacle of Oak Bluffs. We then took the Steamship Authority's ferry ride from Vineyard Haven back to Woods Hole Terminal. We returned to Visitor information Center at the Rhode Island Convention Center about 7:30pm. Everyone on the trip were very respectful of the time Ted told us to return to the bus and were very friendly. This was a wonderful, fun, informational day trip to New England's most popular island and I am so glad I got to explore Martha's Vineyard for the first time with Experience Rhode Island Tours. Ted took us on a tour of the entire island, exploring its six towns. The tour included admission to Martha's Vineyard ferry, narrated tour, and round-trip transportation to and from the ferry, and transportation throughout the day on the Vineyard. Experience Rhode Island Tours always does a great job with their tours and I am looking forward to what other tours they plan in the future!

When we asked if there were any other visitors we were told no one else in the past hour. Admission is a fair price for this small zoo that had plenty of animals to keep us interested for a couple of hours. It was nice to see the bobcats active and the monkey swinging around. Lots of peahens and the peacock was fun to see perched in different places. We were amazed to get a symphony of howling, yapping, barking, neighing, and other animal chatter while we were there. The staff in the Education Center was friendly, alert and readily answered our questions about the animals. If you like feeding the animals, buy a cone of food at the admissions booth to feed the hoofed animals. Careful when feeding the goats. I was taking a picture of my daughter feeding a goat and I was within reaching distance of the goat who craned its neck over the fence and swiftly chomped on the cone of food. I was startled but it was quite hilarious.

"Just a perfect day, feed the animals in the zoo" (Lou Reed)…read more The Zoo hosts over 225 animals, many of which are "non-releasable to the wild" due to injury, illness, permanent disability, etc. I loved the way that each exhibit has a photo of the animals, their story, and the name they are known by at the zoo. Some of the names are fairly common, like Cicero the Parrot, Thelma the alligator, and Spider Monkeys Zoey and Amy. There is a gigantic tortoise, very aptly named Goliath. He was a surrendered pet, so I can only wonder how big Goliath was when his owner decided to turn him over to the zoo. But some of the names are hysterical, like the two owls named Clint Screechwood and Jean-Clawed Von Damme. The zoo has a very easy design to navigate, you more or less follow a path that brings you back to the main entrance. I loved the way you can get very close to the animals. Most of them are in enclosed in a heavy "chicken wire" like surrounding so you can get super close. Some animals are in low-fenced pens, so you have some great photo and/or feeding opportunities as long as you purchase a feed cone from the zoo. We saw a lot of happy kids feeding the goats, mules, horses, etc. it's certainly not the biggest zoo we've ever seen, and we didn't see too many large animals like elephants, but we did see a camel! By the way, Forest Park is beautiful, and I need to go back and explore it at length.
