Great Ranch in scenic Princeton,Ma. No better way to spend a day than taking a relaxing trail ride at Cornerstone. Beginners to seasoned riders also riding instruction is offered. wagon rides sleigh rides & Pony rides. Also a food wagon the Wild Child is on site run by Chef Stacey offering food & Ice cream. Take a ride and enjoy

We had a fantastic time. Chicken Dumpling came along for the ride which was priceless. The staff was fantastic and truly enjoy their jobs as they shine. We hope to come back in a few months when there is at least a foot and a half of snow so we can upgrade from a wagon ride, to a sleigh ride. Thank you staff at Cornerstone .

Customer service at this business is nonexistent. Good luck getting any kind of reply by email or phone. Yes, they tell you not to call but to email instead. However, they truly don't answer emails either. I emailed them weeks ago with no reply and then yesterday at 12:30pm with no reply. It's lovely that they love their horses, but with zero people skills, I consider it a bit unethical to charge people money for a service. Also, don't bother with the address they provide for the ranch as it absolutely does not take you to the location. Study the map beforehand and memorize the turns you need to take the get there on the dirt roads. Otherwise, you'll be late for sure. The signage is sparse at best.

Had the BEST experience at Cornerstone Ranch. We went 2 weeks in a row because we had the best experience the 1st time. The people running it are so knowledgeable & personable. They really made the experience special. We messed up & booked the wrong day & they were so accommodating . It wasn't an issue whatsoever. We also loved the hot coco and marshmallows!

Really enjoyed my two hour horseback ride at Cornerstone Ranch. The guides were very knowledgeable and carefully paired each rider up with a horse that would suit them. It was peak foliage, so the pictures are amazing. They also had a bonfire with s'mores at the end! The only thing I would have loved to do was go faster than a slow walk, but the larger group size (ten or so riders plus guides) would make that difficult.

My friend and I had a great time on the trail with Cornerstone Ranch! All the horses are in good condition, well cared for, as well as the equipment. The trail was beautiful and scenic, and our horses were so fun to ride! Staff couldn't have been nicer. Please keep in mind: the two hour trail ride does not mean you're on the trail for two hours. You spend quite a bit of time getting assigned a horse, getting ready and getting on the road.

I went here on a sunny Saturday with 4 girlfriends for a sleigh ride. It ended up being a wagon ride because there was no snow.... not their fault. Apparently according to Sue ( the owner) they can't do sleigh rides unless there's 8 inches of snow. We got there early and had s'mores and hot chocolate around a fire pit. The actual ride was sweet... about half an hour, through the farm and then out on a trail. They offer blankets but I brought my own quilt because I wasn't sure. The horses are handsome. A nice experience!

Had a beautiful winter riding experience here--it truly felt like something out of a movie. I booked through Groupon and then made a reservation on their website. There were some additional costs I didn't expect, but I understood they likely go toward the guides and the care of the horses. I've ridden before and mainly wanted to enjoy the fresh air and scenery, which did not disappoint. The only thing I really wish had been different was the photo policy. I completely respect the no-cellphone rule for safety, but it was a bit disappointing not to be able to capture or share such an incredible experience. Maybe a good compromise would be for guides to take photos or short videos during the ride, or to have a brief stop along the trail for pictures. That would make the experience feel more complete and memorable. The ride itself felt a bit strict at times--we stayed in a single line and had to keep pace, which made it feel a little tense, almost like a "keep up" situation. I understand safety is the priority, though. One of my favorite moments was when the guide explained how to calm a horse and build a connection--that part was really special. Overall, it was a great experience and one of the best I've had in the North. If the pricing felt a bit more reasonable and there were more opportunities to capture memories, I would definitely come back. read more

My 8yo daughter just did a 1/2 hour private lesson here - her first time ever on a horse - and the instructor (Nikki) and the horse (Tommy) were both amazing with her. My daughter is autistic and described her experience as feeling "safe, confident, comfortable, and sometimes exhilarated." By the end of the half hour, she was, solo, weaving the horse in and out of cones in the ring. Both rider and horse looked relaxed and at ease. I'm a lifelong rider and am very attuned to how things are going. Honestly, I don't understand what the more negative reviews on this site are talking about. This was amazing. Beautiful facility, the horses are well cared for, and I just signed kiddo up for summer riding camp here. read more

We went yesterday for the 45 trail ride.. what should i say.. starting from the attitude .. to be honest not all of them but would say 70% of who i met yesterday were rude, very rude. Then comes to horses, horses are so fat.. and when i asked if they pregnant a fun was made of me from the leader which was unprofessional and not polite at all. Horses shouldnot be that fat.. they are maybe well fed but too fat , i rode horses before in so many places and never seen such fat horses thats why i thought they maybe pregnant! The trail is too tight, boring and there was no fun at all in the ride. Good that horses know the roads and they wouldnot listen to the rider unless to stop but that was no where to be an experience of riding horse at all. I would not recommend the place specifically because of lack of customer service. Then because it is not a real riding experience. I attached one of the great pictures the leader of the group took of us by the end of the ride! read more

No safety briefing given, no safety precautions taken. My two daughters and I were on a guided horse-back walk on Sunday, November 17. One of my daughers and I were thrown off our horses when they got spooked and ran. My daughter ended up with a badly broken bone, and we both have extensive bruising. We left in a state of extreme distress to go to the emergency room. The guides did not so much as aid us in getting to our car, and did not follow up with us. read more

My husband and I went on the 2 hour trail ride and had a wonderful time. Following the specific directions given on the website, we had no problem finding the ranch. Our ride started promptly at 2pm as scheduled, which we appreciated as we had dinner reservations following the ride. The horses were in good condition and very gentle and safe. I actually enjoyed the variety of terrain on the ride, some sections on larger smooth trail, brief parts on the road and other parts over typical rocky New England riding trails. Our mounts, a beautiful black Percheron and a white and black Percheron cross, were confident and sure-footed on all surfaces and did not blink twice when passed by a car. FYI, the road is very low traffic- only 2 cars passed very slowly. As with most trail rides, the pace is a walk, as it should be for safety. Our guide was pleasant and informative. We even got a view of the Boston skyline in the distance from a high point on the ride. I own my own horse but don't have access to trails, or a horse for my husband, so this was a nice opportunity to have a relaxing ride together. read more

We did the hour trail ride this past weekend, and it was perfect. It was my husband's first time on a horse, and I am 100% sure he fell in love with Frick. The staff was awesome, and really helpful. READ THIS BEFORE GOING (esp. with a kid) A quick story about how a place where stuff helped horses turned to the worst one. Find a better place where the staff treats horses and people better, Cornerstone is the worst (even though I loved it before) I and my wife spent the whole summer at that place in 2021. Everything was super cool and friendly. I worked on a very stressful job and came to Cornerstone to relax. We took two-hours private rides for two. There was a woman (Robin) and her associates who were kind and friendly. Now, it's March 2022, I and my wife came back after the winter. 1)First thing that I mentioned was that even though I paid full price for the private ride, we were taken in a group. There were three more people but I was okay to meet new people and be in the group (my wife didn't share my perception). 2)We took our horses and nobody gave us neither helmets nor ladders to get on the horse. I came to a horse to touch her, and the young (teenager) associate started to yell at me that I came in without a helmet. She threw me a helmet and went off. I was super shocked but decided to continue and go to the ride. I took a picture of a horse and another woman asked me to delete it and said that it is not allowed (we did it before all the time, making super cool pictures). 3)We started the ride and moved forward with that woman. During the whole ride, she was yelling: "DO NOT TALK; DO NOT TOUCH THE HORSE; DO NOT LOOK TO THE SIDES; DO NOT..., DO NOT..., DO NOT...! The final thing that killed me was when my horse turned a little and stopped going further. The woman turned to me and started literally shouting that I did something wrong. Just to remind, I am taking my walking tour to relax, I am not in the army or hose police. I told her to stop yelling at me. She started to shout, even more, yell and say bad words. I'm okay with hearing those words but there were kids... 4)Finally I told her that we are coming back and I don't want to continue the ride. She basically screamed at me and my wife that we are ruining her day(maybe she got paid for a successful ride) and forced me to continue. I refused and she started to threaten me with the police that I break the group tour for other people. She was yelling at me for ten minutes but I stayed calm and cold-minded. Then she called another woman and the teenager(mentioned before). They took us back and I asked to talk to the manager. Her reply was: "THE DOOR IS THAT WAY, NOBODY WILL TALK TO YOU". I did not argue about the $200 return or anything else. This place is dead, never go there. read more

he one positive: The staff are young and motivated, and did a great job; Otherwise: The trails are rocky, with potholes; they didn't rescheduled during a thunderstorm; The owner was unnecessarily rude to one of our riders when we returned from a wet and stressful ride. Believe the other reviewers that say the owner has an anger management issue. This place seemed to have a lot going for it, but our experience could have been so much better than it was. Total lost opportunity. We were excited to book a two hour ride with our crew of 7, after reading the many great reviews. All of us owned/ had ridden horses before and hoped to just catch some good enjoyable time on the trail. When the forecast was for scattered thunderstorms and 75% chance of rain, our organizer wrote (24 hours before) to ask if we'd postpone for drier (and safer) weather. They declined the reschedule and there was no refund if we didn't take the ride in the rain - so we decided to make the best of it. Upon arrival, were greeted by an overly cheerful (given that it was pouring at the moment) and energetic staff who were also our trail guides. Thankfully, the rain stopped just as we were about to mount, and we had about 45 minutes of no rain. The guides had a cute intro with jokes, and were friendly. It did rain about half the time, but we were prepared to get wet. We walked through a lot of mud getting out of the ranch, but as soon as we were in the woods, the trails became very rocky! The footing was inconsistent the whole ride, and felt unsafe at times making it hard to relax. The horses were trudging through deep puddles dodging large rocks everywhere- I'd say about up to 40% of the trail is pocked with potholes and BIG stones. We were slipping and sliding everywhere and the horses were wet and not happy. Give that we weren't accommodated for a reschedule, and all of the above accounts for the one star review. Even if we had been accommodated, it may not have mattered- the trail was unpleasant, in spite of how cheerful the staff were. Though, I wouldn't have been compelled to write this if they had at least tried to be accommodating. The topper was when the owner, Susan (as confirmed by the staff), was rude to one of our riders as we re-entered the ranch. We had just gone on a wet, long and troubling trail ride and she chastised a rider for not holding the reins correctly as we rode back into the dismounting area and our ride was over. It was unnecessary and ... just not a nice note to end on. They took a photo at the end. Fun, but not enough to bring us back. read more

Booked a sleigh ride which turned into a wagon ride due to lack of snow - obviously not the fault of the ranch. However, confirmation email said to arrive 15 minutes early as they were fully booked and did not want to have to give us a short ride due to our being late. We arrived 20 minutes early, checked in and we were not taken out for a full 30 minutes AFTER our booked time! So much for sticking to the schedule. It was cold and snowing and we were waiting for 45 minutes (rather than 15 which is how long we would have waited for our scheduled time). We were freezing before we got on the wagon. The fire in the fire pit barely had flames - don't know how you were supposed to roast marshmallows, which is advertised and certainly wasn't producing enough heat to keep us warm. When the wagon did return from the previous ride, it was still another 10 - 15 minutes before we were allowed to load. I think the drivers were taking a break, which I'm sure they needed, but was still frustrating since we were already 15 - 20 minutes late for our ride. Also, during this break, the seats were filling with snow. Fortunately I had an extra hat in my bag that I could dust off the seats with so we were not all sitting in snow, as there was clearly no intention of the staff to do this. Price was fair as we had 6 people in our group. Not sure that I would want to pay that much for less than 6, but I understand that the price is getting your group (regardless of size) exclusive use of the sleigh/wagon. No apology for taking us a full 30 minutes after our scheduled time, which would have gone a long way with me. With that being said, the ride itself was very enjoyable and our driver was fantastic and informative. If they are not going to stick to the schedule, at the very least an apology for being so late would be in order. read more

I found Cornerstone Ranch through Groupon, and am so glad I did! I purchased the 2 hour trail ride for my family. The weekend schedule filled up quick, so we ended up opting for a Thursday afternoon trail ride. The online scheduling process was easy, the directions provided were clear & accurate. We showed up 30 minutes early as instructed, and it couldn't have gone any smoother. We were greeted by the owner's daughter, Julia, and she was our trail guide. The only riders in the group were Julia & my family of three (city slickers). We were fitted with helmets, assisted onto our horses, and given a quick guide in how to ride / direct the horses. Then we were off... easy peasy! The two hour ride took us through various terrain - some muddy trails, paved roads, and grassy areas. The horses were well trained, I felt safe the entire time. My 10 year old was comfortable & was able to ride independently. Julia was pleasant, knowledgeable, and polite. The owner was pleasant as well, and thanked us twice for our business. That means a lot! The two hour ride was possibly longer than we needed, I think the 1 hour would have given us the same riding fix. Nonetheless, I have no reservations in recommending Cornerstone Ranch trail rides, and would love to try their sleigh rides when winter arrives! read more

I hate having to rate this place so low because they rescue horses from slaughter, but I have no choice. It's been quite a few years since I've ridden but I do know what a riding experience should be like. I'll start from the beginning: When you arrive to the ranch parking is a bit confusing and the lavatory is a stand alone port-a-potty in the lot. Sue and her husband are really sweet people and seem to know their stuff, however, other than that, much is left to be desired. Upon arrival you're instructed to fill out the waiver and put on a helmet. The bin of helmets was a bit unsanitary and in disarray (yes, yes, I know. It's a horse ranch for peets sake, so of course things will be a bit unsanitary) also, my friend complained hers smelled and the strap was wet. My helmet was fine. However, I would assume that when you're operating a place like this the helmets would be sanitized and you would check peoples helmets to make sure they're on properly, not simply tell them to sign a waiver and throw one on. They make small talk to figure out your personality and which horse would best suit you (at least this is what it seems). I liked that little touch because, IMO, it shows they know their horses. Overall the horses are great and well tempered. However, I couldn't understand why I was given a horse that needed much more guidance and a riding crop compared to the others. Then during stops Sue would call out to me "You ok back there with Hope, Shirley?" There were other people behind me so it wasn't as if I was the last, it was because I was given a "slow" horse that seemed a little unwell IMO. As many others have mentioned, the trail is horrible and I felt guilty the entire time. The poor horses are walking on rocks and through mud the majority of the time. But especially ROCKS. My poor horse. It wasn't fair to her. There were a few times she wouldn't move because the mud was too wet or the rocks were too jagged and she had to really calculate her footing. A riding trail should be comfortable for the horse: on grass or that other soft stuff they use at ranches or on a beach (at least those are the experiences I've had). Lastly, aside from the rocks and mud you're walking along power lines the entire time. The mandatory "at least $10 tip" was another thing that rubbed me the wrong way. Overall, I enjoyed the day out with my friend but wouldn't visit this place again. I also hope they reconsider the 'trail' they've chosen and give the horses a terrain that's more comfortable on their hooves. read more

My sister brought me here for my birthday and I had a blast. You first walk and whole you wait for the horses to be situated you pick out a helmet to wear. They probably have thirty helmets to choose from so finding one in your size shouldn't be a problem. Being a horse rider for years it's interesting in seeing the different attire people show up in. I would suggest coming properly dressed in jeans and boots to have a comfortable ride.you will be assigned a house they they line you up and give you a little intro class on how to ride before you go. I was on a horse named Hercules and he did great. There was three guides on our trip so you don't have to worry about getting lost. I would suggest the two hour trail ride to get the full experience. I will definitely be returning in the near future. read more

Received a gift to go trail riding for Father's Day. Everything was going well until my 10 year old daughters horse got spooked. The horse ripped the reins from her hands and took off down the trail, my daughter was tossed from the running horse (I get it accidents happen it's an animal). 1st instinct from the trail guides was "ohh no the horse is loose and running,", not hey kid are you hurt? soon after they checked on her, and made her walk the rest of the trail until we got to the barn. I WAS OFFERED A FREE TRAIL RIDE IN RETURN...thanks, but no thanks read more
I absolutely love this place! They generally put out a few Groupon's a year, so check periodically for specials. But I suggest you go anyway, even without the Groupon. This place is super fun. I've done the 2 hour trail ride on horseback and it was definitely the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Pros: The people that run it are amazingly nice. They're alot of fun and give you instructions at the start of the ride, while in a big fenced in ring. All of the horses have names and some don't like to be near one another, so they put you and your friends on horses that like each other so you can ride with the people you came with. It's a great experience to go through the wooded trails, as your horse sneaks a snack from the ferns and baby oaks along the way. The views are really nice as you trek up a good sized hill and look out over the trail you rode. Great prices, great people, and cool horses! Cons: It's far out there for Metro Boston people to drive. Well worth it though! Overall: Love this place! I suggest you plan a trip out there one weekday and get in a 2 hour trail ride. read more

They were all really really nice and the horses were well behaved . It was alittle long ( 2 hours ) but 1 hour wouldn't have been enough. It could of been alittle more exciting but when working w/ people that have not been on a horse you do have to be very careful. So with all that I had a nice time and enjoyed myself. They have a little ice cream and drink stand but to my surprise the ran out of water ( OMG) it was 93 and I was dying for COLD water .. but the girl was so upset that they had none she made me a really cold ice coffee . I had a birthday party here for my daughter and it was perfect! I did have to track down some of the details ahead of time in terms of what to expect and how to prepare, but when it came to the day of the event - everything was perfect. My daughter and her friends had an opportunity to explore some of the farm (and there are a ton of horses to pet), spend time playing on their property which includes a swingset for 8, horse shoes, Baggo, etc. and then off they went on at least a 30 minute horse carriage ride. After the carriage ride they had an opportunity to each get a pony ride, brush the horses, and walk them back to their stall. Everyone who works here has a smile on their face and was so pleasant to be around. They were all great with the kids too. The property is really large and well-maintained. We will be back for lessons! Highly recommend! read more

I took four children (3 teenagers and a 3-year-old) to Cornerstone for a sleigh ride on Christmas Eve. It was OK. It was not terrible in any way. But it wasn't an experience I'd recommend to friends. The people running the place were super friendly. But we were not welcomed when we first arrived and the area where visitors arrive (and get their first impression of the place) was not welcoming. We were told we could go inside a small building to make hot chocolate with hot water, paper cups and Swiss Miss hot chocolate packets. There was a fire outside, but the wooden benches around it were broken in some places and looked flimsy. Inside the building, we found graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate for making s'mores. But we couldn't find sticks to roast the marshmallows, so we gave up on the s'mores. The ride in a wagon drawn by two horses was fun for me but boring for the teenagers. It was fun because the terrain was uneven and I was moving around a lot in my seat, which made my 3-year-old laugh. The path we took on the ride was not thrilling. In other words, there wasn't a lot to look at. We did see a few other horses, a donkey, a goat and a pot-bellied pig. The 3-year-old loved that. The three teenagers, who initially had been excited about the idea of a sleigh ride, just wanted to get out of the wagon and go home. read more

First off, this place is overpriced. I've been riding horses for years and surrounding farms, that are just as nice if not nicer are less expensive than this place. I went online to book a lesson for myself and my mom and saw that with booking 2 lessons came almost an extra $25 in random "service fees and administrative fees" ON TOP OF the actual lesson (a horseback riding lesson, IS a service - by the way). Never have I ever seen a place do this. I e-mailed Susan to express that I was looking to get back into riding again and becoming a consistent rider at the farm and asked if there was a way to book the lessons offline (just the price of the lesson) without all of theses fees - especially since that adds up if you decide to come regularly. I even told her I'd be willing to come up 1-2 days in advance and introduce myself, get to know the place and the people ect.. and she told me that they don't want "random visitors" and that her employees don't appreciate making "sideline deals." I'm in bussnes and to refer to someone who could potentially become a prospective frequent rider of the farm as a "random visitor" shocked me. Also maybe if they didn't have such ridiculous "fees" online and just expressed the "true" price of the lesson, people wouldn't feel like they're getting a bit ripped off. $65 for 1/2 ride is ridiculous, sorry. In the past, I've always had friendly and almost "family community" like relationships with people from other farms - so long as you become a consistent part of the farm. If I could leave a negative rating I would. Booked a trail ride and unfortunately my husband's knee surgery was rescheduled and we had to cancel. I canceled the same day it was booked. Received a nice email, however, of the $169 fee, we only got $140 back. No where on the website does it mention this. They did not return my call. They said the service fee was non-refundable and said it was in the fine print when we booked the May 21st ride. Unprofessional business. Will go elsewhere!!! Buyer beware l, should have paid attention to all the negative reviews!!!!! read more

I found cornerstone ranch on groupon and figured wth I'd give it a try. booked a 2 hrs trail ride for my family. my husband, myself, my daughters ages 15 and 17. we were not disappointed in the least. we were greeted promptly and politely and we're give. permission to look around the property and at the horses while we waited for our entire group to arrive. absolutely beautiful property, beaitiful horses and we'll maintained barn and all animals looked very well cared for. we were assigned our horses according to experience and weight and given a short by very helpful talk about safety, basic riding tips and a little history about the property and the horse we were riding. we left on time and the entire 2 hrs trail ride was amazing. staff answered many questions about the property, horses history etc. when we completed our ride we were offered hot cocoa in the barn and even got a chance to meet the owner of the property. even though she was busy with her horses and staff she took time to chat with us about our animals our family and thanked us for coming. Overall impression. and experience was top notch. very friendly very professional staff, on time with our ride and horses were very well cared for and very well behaved. we definitely recommend this business to anyone looking to enjoy a trail ride, lesson, sleigh ride. read more

This place needs a TEN! My husband and teen have been there before, but today we went as a a family of 4. My youngest, nearly 10 has only ridden once before, and these amazing people went above and beyond to accommodate her needs. The staff are very caring and extremely well trained, they clearly know what they are doing and you feel comfortable the moment you arrive, and you feel welcomed by everyone. The horses are clearly well cared for, as an animal lover this meant the World to me. The Ranch was clean, the environment, surrounding areas, portable toilets, everything was just perfect. Honestly, I could not pick one single fault even if I wanted to with my OCD! This family run business clearly love what they do, and it shows every second you are there, it shows through their staff, their animals, the cleanliness of the facility, the safety measures they ensure happen, and this means a lot being an ex Nurse! Seriously, this is one place that I can not and will not stop raving about, and will be going back to again and again, in fact, my teen can not wait to start volunteering there regularly just to spend time with the staff and the horses. Thank you to everyone, you made such a difference in 2 kids lives today, and gave some much needed family time to us, THANK YOU! xxxx read more

Okay so it was intended to be a mild New England Spring day, perfect for horseback riding amongst the trees of Western Massachusetts, but who am I kidding? It's said in New England if you want to know what the weather is going to be, look out the window. Weather aside, it ended up being an awesome ride. It was on the cold side, and the winds whipped up periodically, but having layered up and trusting the peek out the window versus our local weathermen paid off. I found the staff very friendly and accommodating. Explanations were provided in such a way that even the most novice of riders would be inspired to confidence. They were polite, encouraging and sought to make it a good experience for all involved. There's nothing like riding among the tall pines and leafless maple trees this time of year. I look forward to going when the mountain laurel is blooming and the autumn leaves are turning. At one point, there is a vista atop a hill with an expansive view of Boston. The horses are gentle and easy to ride. They also offer sleigh rides in the winter, making this a year round dest read more

Pleasantly surprised with this local family owned farm!! As I live in the area, (half hour away in Worcester) I was VERY impressed with the young girl running it; She was extremely organized, knowledgable, and friendly!! As an administrator, I know the perils of organizing a large group, and she has it DOWN!! She fits each rider with the perfect horse for their ability, which is comforting to new riders. As an experienced rider, it was nice to see the time she took with each person, even though she probably does this 30 times a ride. The horses are mostly all rescues from dire situations, and I was happy to hear work only one or two days a week. They all are very well taken care of; Clean barn, clean stalls (I looked!!) Over all great place and super family/kid friendly. I was psyched to hear about winter sleigh rides and hot chocolate, which means I will definitely be back for some winter fun, and will ride with them again. Thanks Cornerstone for a fun day with my bestie! read more

I had a very pleasant time and the only negatives were things mostly out of the Ranch's control (for example, as other reviewers mentioned - the bugs! But they do also instruct beforehand that you should bring bug spray). However, as a least one other person mentioned, I would recommend/appreciate the helmets being a little cleaner. I purchased the one-hour trail ride Groupon and felt the length of time was good (although my back end which had not been in a saddle for many years disagreed!) The staff were all very friendly and enthusiastic. My horse was well-behaved and responsive to commands. In fact the owner, Sue, went above and beyond as my friend and I missed our original booking due to work commitments and they were happy to let us re-book for another date, even though we cancelled well within 48 hours of the start time and should have had to forfeit our ride (as is the policy). read more

A truly "Magical" experience! I recently went on a wagon ride with a group of friends. From the moment we pulled in and saw Po the goat in the driveway to greet us I knew it would be special. We had three young women who took us through a truly magical journey. When we waiting in the wagon to begin our ride a chicken named "Chicken Dumpling" hopped on the wagon and ended up accompanying us for the whole ride! Our wagon was drawn by two gorgeous horses, Frack and Hank. The young ladies we incredibly informative about how the ranch operates and the care for all of the wonderful animals. At the end we had hot chocolate and Smores! This adventure was just what I needed to get into the Holiday Spirit! I look forward to going back! Thank you to everyone at Cornerstone Ranch for your hospitality and kindness, I am grateful for a truly memorable afternoon! Happy Holidays to all! read more

Through Groupon I found Cornerstone Ranch.. I booked my ride with my girlfriend and we embarked on our two hour horse ride adventure past Saturday, June 2nd.. One of my "Bucket List" adventures, marked in the "check" column... The experience in and of itself was wonderful... It's a slow paced lead trail adventure. The instructor is knowledgeable and dedicates their lifestyle to the commitment and care of the horses within their possession... Some of these horses are rescues, which alternatively would have met an untimely outcome, if it wasn't for Cornerstone at the rescue. Cornerstone Ranch gave these rescue horses new life and purpose.. It's a horse ride adventure for all ages (children and adults).. Ask about their sleigh rides, as well... A memorable couple or family experience... read more

My husband and I did the Two Hour Trail Ride for Two yesterday and it was awesome! I think due to the weather it wasn't a very scenic trail (with the terribly wet mucky grounds and bare trees) but it was lovely nonetheless. We got out admissions through Groupon and there were no issues (very easy to book online). If you're a beginner and never ride a horse (as I was) have no fear ! Julie and Tom will take great care of you and calming your nerves. We had great customer service and despite it being dirty (cause we'll it is a farm) the horses were pretty clean and were docile and trustworthy. Definitely going back when we can and asking for the same horses we had (Sunny & Louie). Thanks for the awesome experience! read more

I had an amazing experience here for my birthday . We went on a delightful trail ride for two hours in the snow. So beautiful, and calming. Such a peaceful area the trail was on. An amazing experience. The tour guide we had was Julia. She was so sweet and full of knowledge. We laughed and talked about different things. No matter how cold my toes were the ride made me forget all about them. Tommy was my horse. I can't wait to go again. After our ride, we got to have hot Chocolate by the fire and make s'mores!!!! Everyone was so welcoming and kind especially their dog Angus!!!! I can not wait to bring my boys here for the next ride. Best Birthday ever!!!! read more

I have been riding off and on at Cornerstone, mostly over the past year. It's a hike for me, a bit over an hours drive and it's worth the trip. I've enjoyed the two hour trail rides. Recently I've started taking riding lessons. Though I've ridden since a child I've never had formal training. Julia has been my instructor. Young, very professional and it's obvious that she's an accomplished rider and has she has a talent for teaching. She quickly picks up and the bad habits I've developed over the years and she quickly corrects them. She doesn't let me get away with anything. I've never been disappointed here. I don't think anyone else would either. read more

My son and I visited Cornerstone Ranch yesterday and it was such a wonderful experience. I wish I could remember the staff's names but I was a little bit nervous so I forgot when they introduced themselves. We did the hour trail guide and moved at a very comfortable pace. Some of the trail was a bit muddy and at other points a little rocky, but we were on the horses and it made for a very interesting time. I rode Sadie (hope I'm spelling it right) and my son rode Tommy, and they were such awesome horses! I can't wait to go back and try the wagon ride sometime in the fall or winter. It was truly an awesome experience! Thank you Cornerstone Ranch!! read more

Amazing Time, experience - a must try What an amazing experience. Loved it so much that i look forward to going back again at least once a month. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. they took the time explaining everything and what to expect on the ride, since it was my first time. My horse Tucker was amazing, I fell in love with him we rode thru the sunset. beautiful riding trails, the horses are so much fun, and did i say the staff was amazing. My daughter wanted something to do this summer and when I saw a Groupon for Cornerstone Ranch for a 2 hour trial ride I figured "why not?" When we pulled up there was a hard working woman taking care of the horses this was Robin. The Day we went was a very hot day 97 degrees at 10 in the morning. The horses were well behaved and fed. Sue the owner is Kind and Friendly. She explained all that we needed to know for riding. The ride was just that a trail ride in the woods and around her property. Both my daughter and I enjoyed the day very much and we will return with friends even read more

Cannot thank Monique (our driver !) and the staff at Cornerstone enough ! This is our second year doing a winter sleigh ride and even though there wasn't a lot of snow, we again had great time! My husband and I brought another couple and they enjoyed it as well. The work you do with these animals is wonderful ! Sitting around the campfire and meeting other customers was a beautiful way to end our holiday season ! And your dog Angus will be happy to see us return as he joined us in eating our Charcuterie board we brought !! LOL Thank you Cornerstone! read more

Had A great time and I am hoping to bring some friends with me the next time. Get there early so you can ask questions if you are a beginner, this will also help her choose the right horse for you. If you are looking for a more aggressive trail ride you might have to contact her and see if she offers this type of riding. This ride is very casual so if you just love to ride, sit back and relax, this ride is for you! PS, I had Dakota, excellent trail horse responds very nicely, was a joy to ride! Thank You! read more

Our one hour trail ride was the most amazing experience! Fell in love with my horse Hercules who gave me the best gift of a positive experience my first time riding a horse. Signed up a few years ago at this ranch but got got scared and cancelled. I have always loved horses but afraid to ride one.The fire pit, beautiful trail through the woods, view where we could actually see Boston, Shetland pony Miller, dogs, and apple pie with ice cream added to our experience. Thank you so much! read more

Wonderful place, just wonderful. Your outside, traveling through the beautiful woods, with a kind, well trained equine professional. We were greeted with a warm fire, hot chocolate, ponies, s'mores and plenty of elbow room to insure social distancing. Our family had a great time! Samantha, our sleigh driver, was amazing, friendly, informative and skilled at handling the horses. Everyone had a sweet and safe experience! It will become a fun tradition with our many grands!!! read more

Nice and friendly trail guides! These horses are absolutely beautiful and very well trained! Clean and well taken care of ranch! I instantly fell in love with their dog Angus and pig, Dozer. Friendly animals. Would definitely go back! The only thing I would change would be the pace. I wish we could have trotted a little bit! But seriously great experience. I rode Sadie, beautiful and very very friendly horse! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!! read more

I booked thru Groupon and rode a horse for the first time, both my young girls have ridden previously and loved it! The horses are so well trained and calm. My girls had the cutest ponies to ride on for the 1 hour trail. The farm is really organized and clean, i've been to other farms where it's not the case. Everyone is very friendly and genuinely loves the horses, it feels like a family atmosphere, not just a business. Would definitely go back. read more

My family went on horse draw wagon ride yesterday through the woods enjoying the fall spectacular views. The kids loved watching the gorgeous black horses pulling us. Sue was very informative regarding the history of the ranch, the horses and many old sayings that may have come from the early years of horse drawn carriages. The kids loved their bells which were used in olden days to alert any pedestrians who may be on the wagon tracks read more
