Food was good, not amazing. Service was great, but the kitchen was very slow. It must have been a busy night. Would definitely be willing to give it another try!

When dining out, I am often eager to try restaurants I haven't been to before, but Bocado is one place I consistently come back to as every experience here has been positive. I love the wide variety of their tapas, and enjoy sharing foods with friends and family and tasting so many flavor combinations. This week, three of us shared the Bocado Experience for 2, and it was plenty of food. I can't not order the fried goat cheese w/ honey. It's such a perfect starter dish! The Atun de Bocado was another highlight...simply seared yellowfin presented beautifully with delicious accompanying sauces, including a lemon basil crema and chili avocado puree. It was definitely a dish that left me wanting more! While the fish was a lovely light starter, by contrast, another successful appetizer was the fried mozzarella rice balls. Similar to arancini, these were fried to crispy perfection with a creamy interior and a bright basil aioli. Another highlight, surprisingly, was the Pollo Asado Lento. The humble chicken thigh was slow roasted to tender perfection, served over creamy cheddar polenta with herbaceous oil and a hint of heat from Calabrian salsa. This was a hearty tapas dish and could have been a great mini-entree on its own. Bocado has expanded their footprint, and each room seems to have its own vibe. We enjoyed our bright window side table in one of the bar/dining spaces, which feels casual and modern. Our server, Angel M.,was terrific all evening, and was happy to match our desired pace.

This place is a gem. Decor is great and there's several different rooms - each with a different vibe. We order the party of two - 6 tapas. We had reservations (highly recommend) and it was very busy..and likely the reason our dishes were staggered so much. (Up to 15 mins after getting first one and never received more than two at a time.) Food was great though. Loved everything except the cauliflower steak - this was a bit dry and needed some accompanying sauce.

Have heard this is a place to try. Tapas place in a sketchy area. As they say the area is it's up and coming. They offer free valet, you can also park yourself at nearby lot. The place has a romantic adult feeling. This is the type of place to relax and enjoy your meal. If your child doesn't behave, don't take them. Sat at the bar area, since it was busy. Figured it would be the fastest service. Our sever was attentive and friendly, as the rest of the staff. Loved the team environment. Tired a few tapas. The warm potato salad was amazing. A must try, not over saucy and crowded. Second the rice balls with mozzarella (Arancini) Wagyu Hamburgers were delicious and flavorful for the size. Last tried the pollo a la plancha with a feta salad. Not a fan of cucumbers. This was flavorful, the chicken was moist and the items meshed well together. I can't remember the last plate, it was a marinated beef with Yukon potatoes. Melts on your mouth. This is a must try on a date night.

We always love Bocado and went back to celebrate my birthday last week. What a nice surprise to see how they have expanded the original location and added a lovely outdoor patio! The bold new mural is a great accent to the elegantly understated decor. I want these dining chairs! We shared the house sangria, which was delicious and opted for the Bocado Experience, which I recommend highly! You get to share six tapas of your choice plus dessert. Even tho they are small plates it's a lot of food. We especially enjoyed the smoked haddock dip, the albondigas (meatballs) and the mozzarella balls, so yum! Next time I want to try one of their amazing cocktails. Thank you, Bocado, for a lovely evening!

It's been a while since we popped into Bocados. Suffice to say blown away by the build out!! Stunning!!! Food and cocktails as always perfect! I can see this new space being booked for many an event!!

The service was great, the food was displayed well and the atmosphere was great. The food just wasn't it. Would recommend to meet up with friends and family for drinks but not to eat. Possibly a new chef could greatly improve the food experience

Sat at the bar in the white and black room. Angel took care of us. Amazing drinks. Made him choose our tapas for 2!! Great selection. Food was great. Ask for Angel!!!!

Delicious food to die for. Drinks are classy & the service is on point. On the table with a pretty little red rose & lamp.

We visited Bocado Tapas Wine Bar during Worcester Restaurant Week and tried several tapas. The standout was the octopus, which had a great smoky flavor and was perfectly tender. We also loved the mussels; the sauce was incredible, and we wished we could have poured it over everything else. The other dishes were decent, but we wouldn't recommend the butterscotch bread pudding--it was a bit dense and too sweet for our taste. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and the staff was kind, though it was busier due to Restaurant Week. Overall, a good spot that is fairly affordable for tapas!

Hmm... very stylish inside. The ambiance is very chill and relaxed. The lighting is a little dim so it kind of sets the mood of a more chill and refreshing environment. It gives off kind of fancy vibes but it isn't fancy. They also have a huuugeee menu. Lots of options to choose from but the food tasted mid. The presentation was great! I got great pictures but the food all tasted mid. Also look at that ugly avocado slice with the salad. Why does it look like its been frozen and unfrozen like 10 times.

Do they have a gluten free menu or enough gluten free selections for a holiday party to not leave folks feeling left out? Their website doesn't show any info in this area. Thanks!

Sorry. I am not sure. I can bet they do as most of their tapas have no bread. Like the shrimp, rabbit, lamb, patata, rice balls, salads, paella's.

The entire restaurant was empty aside from 2 tables when we arrived. They crammed us literally 6 inches away from 1 of the 2 tables filled. I initially was taken aback but the two ladies sitting next to us kindly slid their table over a tad to give us more space (we were beside a wall to the other side near the door). Honestly - I'm glad I didn't say anything because by 5:30 the entire restaurant was filled and it was nice to have nobody on one side of us. They served bread drizzled with olive oil with some olives to start. There was nothing particularly wrong with the bread, however, being a Greek restaurant, it may have made a lot more sense to serve fresh warm pita as the starter bread course. We ordered the Feta Saganaki to start. That was absolutely the star of the entire show! Very crispy on the outside with a hot gooey feta cheese on the inside, drizzled with ample amounts of honey, and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Absolutely to die for. I started with the Greek sangria - it was fine, but nothing special. My husband got one of the three espresso martini options and he really enjoyed his drink. The restaurant got busy very quickly and it didn't seem they had enough waitstaff on. Everyone was sort of running around with their heads cut off, and service was slow and inattentive at times. For dinner, I had the moussaka. It was very salty and the béchamel sauce on top was sort of gelatinous. It didn't taste bad, but it was a very odd consistency. My husband got the kebab plate with steak and chicken. It was served over a bed of rice with a small side salad. Nobody came back to the table to ask how our meals were after serving us. We really needed salt and pepper, which was not on the table and my husband wanted to order another drink. We had to ask two different servers before we got the drink, but never got the salt or pepper. We took a piece of baklava home to enjoy after the show. It was delicious! We are not in the area and it's unlikely that we would be back to this restaurant in the future. We are foodies at heart and had this been a delicious meal - we likely would have driven all the way back to Worcester just for dinner. It unfortunately sort of missed the mark.

Honestly very heavy and was glad I split the one size they had with a friend. It would have been too much. There was a little layer of oil on top too. The Faux Fiz mocktail I got was good. However, a lot of "spices". I ended up requesting more ginger beer and lime to cut it. That helped. But overall good quality drink. The Atlantic salmon crudo was very interesting. Nothing close to what I expected. It was gross. Really thick salmon over globs of a black garlic aioli. The ratio was so off. It was so pasty. I am shocked they haven't reviewed that item on their menu. Usually crudos are so nice and light. This was not. The wild Spanish octopus was the better of the three dishes. Just needed some more salt. Or more of the chorizo would have sufficed. I was surprised that this place was nothing like it used to be. Will not be back :(

Once they announce it, you need to call immediately or get shut out. My observation about the place itself. The U shaped bar is gigantic for the space. It's a bar-bar too not like a sushi counter. This seems to draw a crowd of local drinkers rather than the normal sushi crowd. You feel like you walked into a sports bar. The place was really loud and it was hard to hear the chef explaining everything. Once seated... it's the chefs carving the tuna off to the side. There were 2 bar tenders making drinks and like 3 chefs cutting tuna.... other than that, no waitstaff. Which is really odd. You have to grab the manager who was running around helping to get your Wasabi refilled. Not to mention they gave zero place settings for about 8 of us, until we asked. The bar tenders seemed to pass over my empty drink until I asked for a refill too. It's a more chaotic event than I would have liked for $120 per person. It also takes time to carve the tuna so if you arrive hungry be prepared to not get your first tiny bite until 45 minutes after the start. The star was Chef Timmy. Honestly he was awesome. The tuna.... so good. You end to with only 3 pieces of Nigiri which was a little disappointing but the sashimi part was unlimited. Of course you have to take your plate up and ask for some. They only put about 6 small pieces of the various cuts per trip. I think I went up 5 times for sashimi alone. The tuna handrolls you can make yourself or ask the chef nicely. Those were really good. Probably best I ever had because it's so fresh. There is a limited amount of the highly prized (and highly priced) Kamatoro, but you can experience it here as it's included in the experience. That's a hard cut to find. The finale was a shot of tuna spinal fluid. My first time with that but it's not bad. You're probably looking at $150 per person unless you order alcohol than it's alot more. The fresh cut tuna is amazing. I'm glad I did it. The chaos and the setting made it less than ideal. I don't think I would go again to this location for it. One and done. It's a bit weird that you're paying $120 for this and you're still intermingled with local patrons just there to grab some beers after work and watch the game. Because of the massive bar it is impossible to create a space secluded to do it. They also should have a roaming waiter at least taking care of the 30 people who came for this experience.

The place is very small and very clean. There is probably room for 20 at the few tables. Parking is out front or on the corner. The food is in a large steam table and you can view it, decide what you want, and either sit or get it to go. It is pretty standard, rice accompanied by a meat and essentially sides. I am pretty sure you can get as much food as you want and they will just charge you accordingly. a feast can be had for under $7.50. To the food....Not being Puerto Rican I will do my best to describe each dish they have and compare it to what I know authentic should taste like. Arroz con Gondules, yellow rice with pigeon beans is my favorite. Their yellow rice varies from day to day. Sometimes plain yellow, sometimes with pinto beans. You can get white rice as well and always request a side of beans to eat with your rice. I am not sure if they use alcaparrado (olive caper salad) in their rice but it is very very good. The main dishes change daily but many things they have every day. There is chicken, beef, ribs, pork chops, sometimes pernil (pork shoulder), maybe an ox tail dish?, plantains, salads, etc. I sometimes see Pegao on a plate. Pegao is the crispy tasty treat that comes from the bottom of the rice pot. I have never had it there but I have seen it. They also have spicy and mild Pastelon? which are meat filled pies, similar to an empenada. I like the spicy myself. I also see alcapurrias? which I think are taro or rice balls filled with meat. Make sure that with whatever dish you choose that you request plenty of the sauce. That is where all the love is. You have more than a few options for Puerto Rican Food in Worcester but my choice is Spanish Grill.
