Been to a handful of other Bober Tea around the greater Bay Area and Sacramento valley, but none follows the recipe to the "T" like Pleasanton. Thank goodness it's close by home and work, so I get to satisfy my boba cravings with their drinks... specifically the unique mung bean pandan latte with brown sugar boba that I can't get elsewhere! Although San Ramon is similar in distance, as mentioned, the drinks don't taste the same. Obviously they're doing something wrong. After suppressing my cravings for a couple of months, finally drove there after work. To my horror, the store is empty! Not sure if it's a temporary closure, but there's no sign that says anything other than it passed inspection in April 2025. Very cute various aesthetic very pink. I love the vibes in here and it's very nice. Very well decorated definitely and still worthy. The drink I tried was a pandan Vietnamese iced coffee overall it was not bad. It just didn't have that strong of coffee taste personally to me. The cream was a little bit on the thinner side pandan taste wasn't very strong, but it's something to get if you wanted to try something different. We came here at noon on a Friday after Brunch at Toast. We have never been to this Bober Tea (only to the one in San Ramon) . This one is sooo pretty! The hot air balloon decor is the best! Very Instagrammable! We ordered at the koisk. Our drink came quickly since there was only 1 other customer. We got the classic milk tea with boba! It was perfect! The ratio of ice, tea, milk and sugar was all good! The boba was chewy and sweet , just the way it should be. I have been here many times and my usual favorites are the Vietnamese iced coffees - Pink Haze and The Nutty O.G. These two drinks are hazelnut flavored (which I love!), and the for the Pink Haze, they add pink salted cream on top. When ordering a drink, there is an option to get a mystery plushy for an extra $4.95. If you choose this, it'll come in a special cup that can be opened towards the bottom for the plush to come out. It's pretty exciting to see what plush we get. Every time I've been to this location, I am always warmly greeted. The inside of this place is fully decorated with shades of pink. Walls, chairs,...everything is pink! There is also a big hot air balloon decoration! Definitely all Instagram worthy! They don't just have drinks here. Cute shop! The store is filled with pink and there's a self service kiosk to order. There's floral decorations in the shop, which are great for pictures. I got a box of 6 mochi donuts and they were chewy and fresh! It's not too sweet and perfect for an afternoon snacks. The decorations on the donuts were also cute! A quick update on Bober Tea. Although I haven't been able to really have actual boba in my milk teas, Bober Tea is a nice option when we're wanting a change from our regular milk tea places in the area. The pink decor is still in full force, but the chairs are now a little worn out and a little dingy but that happens. It was kind of rainy the day I went and unfortunately the floors are a bit slick and I actually one of the customers just fall and slip. The drinks have been fairly consistent and luckily on Tuesdays there's $1 mochi donuts with each drink order! Definitely a plus. They're chewy and great! Black sesame is always a favorite of mine. The taro was missing that deep taro flavor. I still wish they had a way to change the ice levels. I wasn't able to ask for it to be lower the last couple times as it was busy for the one person who's in there. Parking is still a mess and hard as it's next to a Starbucks. This is a pretty busy plaza, but they are off to the side in the back by Starbucks, so parking was not too bad. Friendly and welcoming owners, as well as the employee who was working when I visited - it has definitely improved, since my past visits, as there has been a change of ownership in the last few months. Very pink and aesthetically pleasing, nice ambience and good vibes - also, good music mix that was super chill. On this particular visit - I had their Chizu Matcha Latte with boba; Jasmine Milk Tea with boba; Mochi Donuts - Black Sesame, Cookies & Cream, Mango, & Matcha; and Cheese Coin. The matcha latte was a bit on the stronger side, but the chizu made it a bit creamier, while the milk tea was creamy and refreshing for a warm day. Excellent Boba tea and mochi donut joint in south Pleasanton off the I-680 Bernal exit. We went a couple of days ago after a family bike ride which left us in the mood for some nourishment. The first thing I noticed was how flowery the décor was, and how fragrant the interior was - my wife and daughters loved it! We decided to order a couple of boba teas (matcha and taro) and an assortment of six mochi donuts. The person managing the counter was very friendly. She helped us use the wall-mounted touch-screens to order - the donuts were $15 and the lattes $6-7 each. We initially ordered our donuts and drinks to go, then realized transporting them by bicycle was going to be tricky, even though they were packed as spill-proof as they could be. So we sat at some outdoor tables nearby and finished the lot! The lattes were both superb. Our older daughter and the missus preferred the matcha, our younger daughter and I the taro. The mochi donuts were even better! Large, fluffy, as prefect as can be! Of the 4 flavors we ordered, my favorite was the sesame, and I adored the edible rice paper butterflies on the strawberry ones! Definitely a disappointing visit. I don't think the shop have any understanding what the meaning behind "latte". I ordered the taro latte and all it is is taro infused milk. I'm pretty disappointed. There was barely any sweetness and 2/3 of the cup is full of ice cubes. I don't see how this place has such high rating unless the people who provides the high rating are either relatives or close friends. I have been to a lot of milk, tea shops and even they know the difference between infused milk and a latte. I don't think I will be coming back here again and one last thing to add, their menu for the "taro latte" is very deceiving. I love this place! Such a beautiful interior and the drinks are so yummy. The staff are so kind, friendly, and easy to talk to. This is my second time coming and my favorite thing to get is their Thai Tea Creme Brulee Milk Tea. It's definitely one of the better thai teas I've gotten around the Bay. I also got a surprise cup for an additional price (I forgot how much it was). I'm not a huge fan of donuts in general, but theirs is pretty good! There's nothing better than Bober!!! We've been going to Bober Tea every Saturday and it is consistently excellent. You can see the fresh stir-fried boba, the portions of which are very generous in each beverage. The tea is flavorful and the Signature Milk Tea and Creme Brulee tea are actually bruleed!!! The interior is clean and fun, with plenty of photo opportunities amidst the rose wall and ceiling and hot air balloon designs. There is plenty of seating too. Best of all, we had the pleasure of meeting the owners last time we went. They (and their employees) are incredibly welcoming and gracious. If you need an Instagram-worthy photo op -- THIS IS YOUR PLACE! Seriously, who needs a whole photo studio when you have Bober Tea? Upon entering, you are greeted with their amazing interior design! I have been to the location in Walnut Creek, but I must say this location definitely takes the cake. Photo ops everywhere you look and the whole place is that pretty in pink aesthetic. We love that! As for the drinks, they are a bit pricey and the range of options was a bit small in my opinion (the reason for my 4 stars) We got the Brown Sugar Creme Brulee. Another thing I noticed while going through the menu is that you can't make any other adjustments (sweetness, ice, etc) unless it is for certain drinks. For 5 drinks it came out to $35 total so ~$7/drink. I guess that is average these days plus you have the whole aesthetically pleasing place to use for your pictures while you wait.
