I picked up a Banh Mi Bo, there was a five-spice pork sandwich on the menu, but it was sold out. Next time for sure! So, the sandwich is $10.50, which I can already here a few of you balking as we've now crossed the $10 threshold, but let me assure you, the sandwich is a level of quality that the price can be justified. The bread was fresh and a perfect texture level, beef was roasted perfectly - juicy and tender, the ingredients were all fresh and high quality, from the cilantro and jalapeños to the basil (which was a nice touch and added good flavor depth). They also included a Cafe Sua Da as part of their soft opening; I'm sipping it as I write this and I have to say that I'm glad they included it as I would have potentially overlooked a quality coffee offering otherwise - they did a great job, perfectly mixed ratios and flavor. :) The service here is great as well, as I'm writing this someone just came up and offered to take my trash, thanks! ;) It is a self-order kiosk situation, which is growing on me as it lets me peruse things at my own speed and not tying up a person. From there there are folk in back making the magic happen and someone up front making the show go. Simple and efficient. The ambiance is bright and clean. Anyone who knows the building their in knows it had so many windows, and the last few folk trying to make a go of it here didn't take as much advantage of that as I thought they should have, this place has the right idea. It's new, so it's clean and perfect, and I'm confident they'll be able to keep it that way. The seating is a bit limited, but there's indoor and outdoor options so that's good. Once the high school up the street finds this place we'll see if this is enough seating, but that would be a welcomed problem to have I suppose. :) I'm really happy to see this location have something that will stand a good chance of surviving - the location is close to the high school, but so many have tried and failed. Given the quality and ambiance of Boban's offerings I'm confident that they will do well here. read more

This is a great place to get both boba and banhmi fix! I love their unique drinks. I am a fan of their FRUIT TEA. It tastes BEAUTIFUL with their blend of orange, strawberries, and flower. Make sure to stir the syrup at the bottom before serving. The bread of the banhmi has the right amount of chewiness and softness. I've been munching on their pork BBQ banhmi. This place is soooo good. I usually get the sweet chili tofu banh mi, my husband gets the bbq pork one. He's says it's one of the best he's had, & it's definitely the best tofu banh mi I've had! They just have so much flavor & the bread is so nice & soft. We've only tried the matcha drinks here which are also really good, just a tad on the sweeter side if you like sweet matcha. This is one of the few places in the area that do freshly muddled fruit in their matcha instead of puréed which I really appreciate. We've always had great experiences with the service. This place popped up on my feed and had to try it. It was Memorial Day and it wasn't busy. The location is really easy to find. There are 2 kiosks to order from. I ordered BBQ Pork Banh Mi and Thai Ice tea and didn't wait long. The BBQ Pork was flavorful with a healthy amount of meat and the jalepenos added a little kick. The Thai tea was good too. My 2nd time here and today the smell was so bad it smelled like a septic tank in Mexico, very unappetizing. What is that? As for the sandwiches, the sandwich and bread size is shorter than a typical ban mi at places like Lees. We ordered 5 spice chicken and rotisserie chicken sandwiches. Both were shredded chicken and had overwhelming sauce. The Vietnamese coffee was good, but we dont think we want to come back again. Note to management: Get rid of that horrible smell. I remember going to this location for food since it was Foster Freeze back in the day as my best friend lived on Barry Drive. I've seen multiple eateries come and go. I hope this place stays. Unlike some of the other low reviewers, I'll refrain from insults and give constructive criticism. 1) Clean up the parking lot and get rid of the weeds. 2) Train staff about what are gluten free options there are, if any. 3) I'm confused. Is it common to have the customer bag their to go food? My order was just laid out on the counter like a Starbucks order with the receipt underneath. My order didn't even fit in the small bag, so I had to ask for a bigger bag behind the counter for my salad. 4) We ordered the 5 spice chicken salad, and a beef banh mi and bbq pork banh mi. I liked the way the banh mis were assembled and had good proportions. However, the both beef and bbq pork meats were too dry. The Sea Salt Thai Tea was delicious. Not too sweet and a good mix with the salt. The decor and atmosphere was super modern and clean and it's has a pleasant view from the street as you drive by. I'll definitely try this place again later this summer and I'll update my review. Other than that, I hope nothing but successful for Boban. I ordered the crispy pork sandwich and a Thai ice tea. Let me tell you. I devoured it. Left no veggie or bread crumb behind. It's so good that I forgot to take a pic. I'm so glad this shop opened up! There are just a handful of good vietnamese drinks and sandwich places between Little Saigon and my home. I'm so happy this place is so close to me. I'm glad I stopped in during soft opening on May 1st. The space was totally remodeled. The previous restaurants here were dark and didn't fully utilize the space. It is now bright and wide opened and just a refreshing feeling walking in. I love the full window of fresh baked pastries as you walk in. They offered a free drink with sandwich so I tried the pho beef with added pate' with a mixed fruit drink. The sandwich was definitely full of shredded beef and a wonderful delicious taste of the pate' in a crispy baked bread roll. Great job all around. Friendly staff and beautiful decor.
