The rose milk tea and the honeydew tea were hella delicious definitely going back for our boba fix

Have not been to this place in a while, but it has yummy boba drinks and yummy snacks! My husband and I used to go to MT.SAC, so we used to get it on our way home from school but now we don't pass by it too often. The service was always quick and very friendly! The ambiance is so neat! It is like a little train station, they even have (or had) one of those signs that change when the train arrives - sorry I don't know what it's called! Stopped here for a little break from the sun during a Mt SAC track meet. It's in a small strip mall full of little eatery places. Decor was clean, bright and inviting. Definitely some instagram worthy angles inside the store. Peach flavored tea was refreshing and you can get it with reduced sugar. I tried the lychee jelly which was tasty but just a little hard to get it through the straw because of the shape of the jelly. The drinks came in plastic bottles with soda can tops with the aluminum tabs that you can pop to open. Pretty unique. Chew chew chicken came out hot and fresh Well seasoned and mild was plenty spicy enough for me. read more

Ms. Bobalicious hopped onto this Boba Chew Chew train and got on a ride of her life. I had this place bookmarked for the longest time. The interior is train themed. Love the witty name...Boba Chew! Chew! There are world clocks, a destination board and train booths. The sky blue and white colors remind me of being up in the clouds. Me: one Royal & one Strawberry Milk Tea. Let me also get a Matcha Cheesecake. Owner: you know, the Matcha Cheesecake is actually a milk tea drink. Me: It is??? Oh wow! Owner: It's actually one of our more popular drinks. Me: Can you please switch out my strawberry for the Matcha Cheesecake? What sugar level do you recommend? Owner: 75% sugar level Normally that is too high a sugar level for me but I trust him. Where else in the whole wide boba world would you find a Matcha Cheesecake Milk Tea? Listen up all my Cali boba peeps, these are some of the yummiest concoctions I have ever had. Their milk teas are luscious with the perfect blend of creamiest. I could have probably inhaled both drinks in 5 minutes but I wanted to savor each sip. I'm guessing the owner must've experimented with the Matcha Cheesecake Milk Tea because it taste exactly that. And don't get me started on the cute can packaging. Absolutely love this place! Anytime my husband and I come out here from Ventura to visit family we have to come here. It is our favorite Boba spot by far. The food specials are great, they make their drinks from scratch and do not use powders, and the owner and workers are just the sweetest. Lastly, the atmosphere is pretty unbeatable as it mimics a cute little train station whose decor changes with the season. read more

I love matcha and have had my fair share of matcha drinks at boba shops and this one was sadly mediocre at best. It tasted very milky since the matcha flavor was so weak. I think you can also tell by the color but the packaging is so unique. The whole store is actually very unique since it's a train-themed boba shop with the seating area designed as train seats! I loved the inside decorations and ambience so my only wish was that the drink was just as good. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing so I'll come back again and try out something else next time. read more

The interior design is so cute. It looks like a flower garden morphed into a train station. I got their matcha milk tea and it tasted alright. It's on a sweeter side so make adjustments accordingly. I like how it comes in a soda can bottle with a straw. I wish they gave more boba because the drink and boba aren't proportional. Parking is plentiful. It's located right across Mt. Sac so I imagine how busy it gets during school session because students could come here to satisfy their boba cravings. Staff is nice and accommodating. My favorite boba and tea coffee shop near Walnut and Pomona area. The best part of this establishment is that when you order any drink you can specify the amount of sweetener, for example, I can say no sugar, or 50%, 25% sweetener. But I'm most impressed by the decorations! Everything is so on theme with the train concept, even the tables and chairs. Boba Chew Chew is such a cute little spot in Walnut. The decor gives you train station vibes with even a rotating sign similar to the train stops at the very back wall. There are all these cherry blossoms decorating the space and it matches so well with the blue hues. I also came here around Christmas time and they had holiday decorations too -- such a nice touch! The boba is presented is these enlarged plastic soda cans which separates them from the rest of the boba spots! I love it. and it's nice that it stays enclosed if you're travelling with it. I've tried the Taro boba (really good) and they also have seasonal specials like the strawberry milk tea. A little bit sweeter but the strawberry does shine through. There are also a variety of snack options. I tried the Taiwanese popcorn chicken which was crispy outer layer and juicy, tender meat inside. Seasoning was standard chili powder which added a nice kick. Would recommend! read more

I love the concept of this boba place. It really makes me feel like I'm at a train station, very detailed down to the split-flap display. Also, I like how they update their look. Last time I came, it was still summer but now they have autumn decors. With regards to the drinks, they have extensive selection. I ordered Jasmine boba milk tea and lychee green tea with lychee jelly, both with regular sweetness. I loved both drinks. They were not too sweet and you can really taste the tea. 3.5-4 stars I am "a visit a boba shop once a year" type of person as I favor quality coffee instead. Came to visit Boba Chew Chew because they have a discount of "25% off for Yelp celebrates apihm" and I wanted to try something different. This location used to be a Lollicup and my coworker has mentioned the great service here as well - which I hear is the same owner from the previous Lollicup store. On a Friday during lunchtime, I had to park a bit further down near the Jack in the Box because the plaza was busy. Since it was my first visit ever, I asked for suggestions of popular drinks and the Eclipse Milk Tea (milk tea & taro) was one of the popular drinks mentioned. Eclipse Milk Tea (no ice) The price was decent after the discount. They did not ask for preference of sweetness so I am guessing that is not an option. The drink was not too sweet but the tea and the taro were very subtle in taste. Any additions (i.e. boba and etc.) are extra cost. The interior is very cute and has the theme of the London train station. Overall, very cute boba shop and good service. read more

I've gone here a couple times, and the workers are always extremely kind. I found that their thai tea has a recipe that resembles the kind I used to get in china town when I was a kid, so I love it and definitely recommend it if you plan to stop by. The place itself is decorated so cutely. It's meant to resemble a train station (hence the name) and even has an electronic sign that updates every couple minutes with "departure times". It's absolutely adorable and it even has a little section next to the counter for photo ops! The seating area in front of the counter looks like a train track, and is so convenient and cute. I definitely recommend this place as a boba stop! It's also the best price for boba in it's plaza if you're trying to save a couple bucks :) read more

The little booth seats at the entrance are a little awkward to sit at but it could because I'm a little on the thick side or whateva. The drinks are great! My favorite is the Dalgona Milk Tea (Coffees and Milk Tea). It is very smooth and delicious! Top drinks are Dalgona Milk Tea and Signature Milk Tea. Brown Sugar is good too but too sweet for me. Strawberry and Strawberry Banana Snow are great drinks for kids. I think they use frozen fruits to make these two drinks. read more

I used to like coming here frequently for their matcha cheesecake drink and the cute decor, but I had an experience here a few months ago that put me off from ever coming here again. Decent drinks, cute decor but note: This place is not dog friendly!! I wasn't aware (no signage too) and I walked in with my dog and this young, male employee who looked about college aged immediately and very rudely blurted out "we don't allow dogs here" one second after I walked in. It was rude to the point where his coworker even said damn. I understand if my dog isn't allowed, but you don't have to say it in such a rude way. There was no offer to let me order first then wait outside. I thought about leaving my dog in the car then going back in, but after that cold encounter I decided it wasn't worth it. read more

I've come here multiple times already but most recently I came for the Yelp event. I'll be talking about all the other times I've gone though. I am SUPER picky when it comes to boba tea flavors and such. I usually stick to the flavors I know best to test out new places and so my first time here I got the almond milk tea with boba and OMG it was one of the best milk teas I've ever gotten! The staff is always super sweet and very very helpful. Every time I go in besides twice I ask what they suggest or what's good. They say the Signature, Oreo Shake, and a bunch of others. My friend got the Oreo shake and loved it. The almond tea loved it. I recently got the signature drink and I LOVED that too! They make it in the back themselves from the tea leaves and serve it cold and it's sooo good. The decor is over the top but in a good way. It's a cute little train station and the blues are so cute! The music is tasteful too. They play covers and soft tones at a low volume. Low enough to be able to talk but also if you aren't talking you can enjoy the music so it's pitch perfect which not a lot of places do. I would honestly recommend coming here and never leaving This place is cute, friendly, delicious, and all around a good place to be with low/ reasonable prices. I had a rough first couple of boba experiences early on in general (not here ) and stepped away from eating boba after choking, but the mini boba here was just the solution. After reading some suggestions I went with the Rose Milk Tea with mini boba. Perfect - hit the spot! Not too sweet and just the right amount. They offer 2 size straws. Guessing from the Grand Opening sign they are a newer business. Super clean and neat. Kind of an experience- saw some people taking pics from outside to inside view. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of parking. The sign in the back that rotates as it updates is so cool it's like a legit rail road station sign.
