Cute little coffee shop on Magnolia next to some vintage shops! I am from Miami, so I often miss Cuban coffee but love indie brewers and Intelligentsia/Stumptown out here. This place has the best of both-- part of the menu is Intelligentsia coffee (my fiancé said his cappuccino was great), and part is Cafe Bustelo (I got a Cuban coffee, sweet but not OVERdone). A lovely little cafe in the middle of the very walkable Magnolia Park. This is one of my favorite corners in the area, due to all of the neat, funky little shops. My girl and I popped into Blvd Cafecito for a quick caffeine pick me up after an hour thrifting next door at American Way, and the staff members were bright, friendly and attentive. We chatted a little and carried on, thankful such a neat little cafe had popped up next door to some of our favorite thrift shops. There's no chairs/seating inside - yet. They seem to be working on that. Rumor has it, they're also working on a "build it yourself" salad bar. Nice. Great iced Americano and Chai. Support locally owned coffee shops! read more

Inspired by stopping into an overcrowded Starbucks I decided to write a comparison review of Starbucks and Blvd. Cafecito. It's the perfect contrast to me because one is a bustling cesspool of raw emotions and modernistic chaos, and the other is like a gentle spoken "good morning" on a cold winter's day. Blvd. Cafecito, or... Before Christ, as I like to call it, has a wonderfully minimalistic New York coffee shop vibe. When last I visited, there was a lovely lone woman at the counter whom I had a lovely conversation with as I drank a lovely Colombian coffee... or Cuban, or something... lovely. I really felt immediately at home there even without a good spot to sit and drink (they're working on it). I quite enjoyed my drink but honestly I was most blown away by the incredibly courteous and interesting person I got to chat with. It wasn't just the efficient feel that made me think of New York, it was the inescapable company. It's this kind of human interaction I feel we're missing on a day-to-day basis and it really warms my soul that people are still out there who participate in a not so long lost art form called "talking." Talking IRL, for you l33t savvy folks. Starbucks can be such a similar experience if you happen upon the franchise on a day where close to zero or exactly zero patrons are occupying the space. For whatever reason it becomes much less of a social taboo to speak to someone you don't know if there are fewer people observing your culturally subversive tactics. On any other given Starbucks day, I dare say it's a people watching extravaganza. My last visit which spawned this desire to write a Cafecito review was fairly horrifying. Simply put (too late): there were people there so rude and so fixated on exactly what they wanted at any given moment, they were literally knocking into people without any regard to anyone else's comfort at all. I hope places like BC continue to grow and thrive and we recognize as a collective of humans that there's a certain magic to simplicity and quality. Honestly the woman at the Cafecito could have handed me a cup of used cigarettes... and if she had continued being pleasant... I wouldn't have minded much. Mind you, at some point in the conversation I would have said, "Oh cool cool, your guy loves horror movies? Me too! Hey, side-note... did you just hand me a cup of cigarette butts or am I losing my mind?" "You're losing your mind!" She might have said. "For sure," I would have responded, more than likely bleeding from my eyes and swatting at non-corporeal bugs. If I've lost you in wordplay (bad writing), just know that Blvd Cafecito is a fantastic coffee shop and if you live close enough to walk, I'm jealous. Comparing it to Starbucks is fun but unfair. There's a certain charm to BC that I feel no well known franchise can maintain for too long. It's a class and quality you find in your close friends and favorite activities. Starbucks can be nice, it can also be a hellish nightmare of horror and anxiety. A beacon where lost and grumpy souls go to commiserate and ignore one another only to pull each other deeper into a hurricane of sorrow and sullen self awareness. The centerpiece of humankind's failure to adapt as quickly as technology adapts to its disgusting and unappreciative inhabitants dead set on leaving planet Earth a sad and broken mess of what was once a beautiful ballet of sentient nature. It's a display of how horrible and cold humanity can become over a simple addiction. Which is why I generally prefer Starbucks. read more

I have walked by this coffee shop many times and have always wanted to stop in but I never got a chance to. Now I have and I ordered the iced horchata latte, as I was reading what the other yelper's recommended, plus I do like to try different flavored coffee drinks...my guilty pleasure! It was a bit sweet but not overly and I like horchata's as the cinnamon is a nice additional flavor. I will return as I want to try their other drinks, Mexican Mocha, have another Horchata latte...mmmmm!!! read more

The business name got my attention while I was driving by weeks ago and knew that I had to come here. We came in during the Holiday at the Park event on 11.18.16. I loved the Cuban music playing & was elated that they have Coladas because I don't know of another place, including Portos, that makes these. If you haven't had it, it's a expresso shot with lots of sugar. The owners/barista were very personable and welcoming. I'm definitely going to return to try other items on the menu as well as get my Colada fix. I'm so happy I don't need to go to Miami for these. Wishing these guys lots of success! read more

Minimal seating, street parking or parking in the back, they use Intelligentsia Black Cat Espresso beans which is consistently good, some interesting specialty drinks that I dont drink, workers were friendly enough, free water on tap and a nice view out the window. Of all the little coffee shops in Burbank, this is by far my favorite! Quick service, friendly employees and the price is just right. Their iced coffee is fantastic! I don't use a lot of sweetener in my coffee and theirs is never bitter and always perfect. And they always ask how much cream to put in and I love this! I hate getting a drink that ends up looking like milk with a splash of coffee from people being heavy handed. I have never walked away from here with a drink I didn't like. read more

I recently moved to Los Angeles from Miami which is the best place in the USA to enjoy a good cup of Cuban Coffee. I've been looking for a place to have the most authentic cup of Cuban Style coffee and this place definitely has it. The Cortadito I had was made with the sugar already included which is exactly how I like it. They use Bustelo Brand coffee which is my go to brand for Cuban Style Flavorful Coffee. A very small local with very little sitting area but they have a cozy bench and patio table/chair outside to enjoy the weather. The prices are great and affordable. Take a look at the picture of the menu for list of coffees and prices. Although they have a small selection of pastries, which is not the reason I came here, I would recommend to invest in more traditional Spanish "Pastelitos" or "Empanadas" to really create the feel I kind of felt, it wanted to have. I come here every time I'm galavanting around Magnolia Blvd. there are so many cafes within blocks of each other and it can be difficult to chose. Each one with their own atmosphere and vibe. Some are larger and some are quite small and quaint. I prefer the quaint. And that is what Blvd Cafecito is. A while in the wall cafe with a delicious menu for that mid day pick me up. Every drink is quite simple and damn, are they tasty. I love that they use Cafe Bustello coffee because that's normally what I keep on stock at my place. Their pastries are quite delicious too. They have this muffin that is a absolute must. It has a crumbly savory top (a buttery streusel with rosemary) and a sweet and soft core with cranberries. I like this coffee spot but for some insane reason they use these markers to write on the iced drink cups and dont realize this marker rubs off all over its customers. Not only are my hands blue, it's a mess in my car and stains your clothes. Please fix this and consider your customers. read more

This pl lace is great. It always has good vibes, and the coffee is good.. I dont like some of the bigger Coffe places because it seems like they attract all kinds of the wrong people. Went once a while ago and the guy who made my coffee did a great job. Went yesterday and it was just meh. But that didn't throw me off as much as when I asked for some extra milk to dilute it and she said it would be 50 cents extra...a latte it should be balanced and creamy, not bitter and dark so charging for a dash of milk because you didn't do a good job at making it and I have to fix it, doesn't make sense to me. On top of that the coffee here is already a dollar more than the other local shops. read more
