Jerry seems to believe that it is okay to rip the customer while the customer is getting frustrated over the fact, that the pool person is unable to text the customer when they arrive, rather than knock on the door or ring a doorbell. The pool person did this often - texting us or calling, as we requested when he arrived. Then he would forget. BluePoint would not contact us to let us know that the person did arrive, and did this or that. So, we have no idea. I reached out to Jerry to find out what was going on. He said the person rang the doorbell, knocked on the doors. Yet when reviewing our security cams, no such action occurred. This wasn't the first time, the "we did ring your door bell" but in reality, the security cams said you didn't. Did I start to get irked? You bet. How do you diffuse an angry customer - you say you understand, that you can do this or that as an option - not, "Can you believe this guy? He wants us to text him every time when we are on our way there." - Then a few other phrases to boot. Next, he starts to yell, you increase your voice back. And well, you end up, with an unhappy customer, an indifferent owner, lost business, and a negative review. We never experienced anything like this in LA. I guess in AZ it is totally acceptable. Bad Service. Worst experience. Bonus - We reached out to two pool providers - both said they do texting for customers. BluePoint perhaps needs to do the same. read more

Their negligence and inability to communicate nearly got my dogs killed and cost me thousands of dollars in vet bills. As working professionals with a toddler and full-time jobs, we relied on their consistent schedule which for over a year was Wednesdays before 8:00 a.m. Then suddenly the schedule was changed to later in the day with no notice and no communication. We called repeatedly and asked when we could expect our service and were just told that the employees made their own schedule and that the company did not guarantee any time of day for the visit, just the day itself. When the pool boy finally showed up it was unexpected and we were not prepared for it. His presence in our backyard without our knowledge caused our dogs to react and ultimately they got into a huge fight. I will give them credit for calling us to let us know that the dogs were fighting, even though the entire incident could have easily been avoided with a phone call or text message to let us know what time they would be arriving. When I spoke with the manager he was rude, dismissive, and refused to assume any liability. I fired them on the spot, and I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company for their service. read more

The decision to have a new pool cleaning service maintain our pool was a tough decision. Fortunately, in the 4 months working with Blue Point Pool Service, they have been absolutely amazing. They cleaned the tiles of an accumulation of calcium. The pool water was purified to drinking quality water. A UV system was installed to maintain that quality of water requiring far less chemical maintenance. The control panel that operates every aspect of the pool system was updated for smooth and more reliable operations. All of this was accomplished at a very reasonable cost. Scheduled a service quote based off reviews and neighbor feedback on NextDoor. Spoke to a gentleman that scheduled us a week out for appointment on 1/2. Told they would come from 9-3pm. Arranged my schedule and just got a call (9:36 am) saying they have to cancel and would Wednesday be okay? I took off of work for this quote and they want me to be okay with moving it and take work off again? They can't possibly only have one person that gives quotes? So no, you lost a potential customer and I'm advising neighbors, friends, family and co-workers don't use them as they don't seem to have self -awareness that they are messing with people's schedules. Incredibly unprofessional and disappointing! Stay away from this service provider. evidently they have tons of loyal customers so they can operate this way. Funny thing is a guy drives one of their fancy trucks of theirs and lives in my neighborhood- so I'll be spreading the news not to use them. Super disappointed read more

This company installed a saltwater system for us and said they knew how to maintain it. We had the same guy for months, and he wasn't great but seemed to do an ok job, then he got injured and his homes were divvied up between the other employees. All we ever saw them do was check the chemicals-nothing else, because they were too busy to take the time to do full maintenance. We ended up developing a black mold problem that another company (Sparkle and Shine) is now fixing for us; not only that, S&S clearly knows waaaay more about proper maintenance of saltwater systems than Bluepoint. We found out the cell is supposed to be cleaned once a year, which BP never did and didn't tell us about. There are other things they did wrong or didn't do at all (maybe don't even know about?) Don't even bother with them if you have a saltwater system - and maybe a regular chlorine system, I can't speak to that but I have to wonder if they're just as clueless on proper maintenance of those as well. read more

They "took care" of my pool for a year and never cleaned the filter, didn't know how to operate the system (Whenever I asked how to turn the pump on or heat my pool, they said they had no clue how to work it...?), my ex husband had to put an algae killer in my pool when it turned green cause they didn't know what to do, and then a couple months later my filter was finally so filthy that my pool turned completely green and they did NOTHING about it!! They would come every week and see the murky green color, walk around the pool and LEAVE without saying a word- LAZY SCAMMERS!! I finally let them go and got a new pool company who immediately looked at the filter which was so full of crap that they had to come twice in one evening to change it.. Just had had them out to fix some issues with my pool equipment. After 15+ years, things wear out. Had to replace the filter and had a pump motor not operating . The tech could have sold me a new motor, but he was able to get it working with a new capacitor. Very honest, even discussed my filter options so there were no surprises. They came out as soon as they could, had the repair authorized, and the motor changed all inside of about 4 work days...which considering having to go through the warranty company is pretty good. Throughout the project, Bluepoint remained in constant communication with me providing updates on arrival, status, and completion. I have used bluepoint for the last 5 - 6 months at my home in Casas Adobes. Our pool had an algae bloom before we called them and was unusable. Bluepoint were quick to identify and rectify the problem in a matter of days. It took a few weeks for the algae to be completely removed as is the case but the infestation and bloom stopped soon after their intervention. They are always when they ought to be, nice, personable and professional people. They also gave me information on how to reduce future outbreaks by trimming some palm fronds that would fall in to the pool. They referred someone to help take care of that problem as well. I had to continually call them to schedule the work and when I had issues with the work, they said they would call back the next morning but never did.
