By posting this review I hope to give the reader not only information on Presidential Pools but…read moresome insight on having an inground pool built. Here is our story. After deciding that we wanted to have a pool built I went to the internet and researched pool companies in Tucson, trying to find the best ones. I narrowed it down to six companies. (There were more that were equally good but they specialized in larger, more high end pools.) Anyway, the six I contacted were Presidential, Southern Arizona, Oasis, Omni, Zarate, and First Choice. I set up appointments with each one of them to come out and look at our yard and discuss it with us. I gave each one the same basic parameters- approx 30 x 16 in size, with a depth of 3 in the shallow and 5 in the deep end. Fair amount of decking around the pool, no heater. Pebble sheen plaster. (Like Pebble Tec, but the aggregate is smaller). So everyone had the same marching orders. Bill Butler with Presidential was the first one to come out and the first one to get back to us with a layout drawing of our backyard with the pool in it along with a price. I had an immediate gut reaction to Bill that he was someone we could trust and that they would do a good job for us. It took awhile to gather all of the bids and alas, two companies just blew us off and never returned calls or got back to us with pricing. I'm not sure why that was, maybe the job wasn't big enough for them? Anyway, Omni and First Choice were the ones that ignored us, despite coming out and promising they would get back to us right away with pricing. So now it was down to four companies. Presidential and Oasis were pretty close in price, the Southern Arizona and then Zarate. So we compared apples and apples with Presidential and Oasis and we went with Presidential because although their bids were close to each other, we felt most comfortable with Bill Butler. So we signed a contract with Presidential and gave them a deposit. They said it would take about a month to get permits and whatnot and that is about what it took. After the permit was issued we then met with Heather, the project manager with Presidential. She explained to us in detail what the process would be from start to finish. Much like with Bill, we felt comfortable with Heather right from the start. I am a big believer in communication and Heather was great at that, always letting us know when crews were going to be showing up and what was going to happen next, etc. Anyway, after the month or so wait for permits, our project got underway. From the day they began excavation until the day we were swimming the total elapsed time was six and a half weeks! After completion they had a tech come out and do all of the equipment start up, chemicals, etc., and then a couple of days after that they had a tech come out and show us how to run everything and take care of our pool. And while our backyard is still under construction (by us, see pictures), our pool is complete and myself and our family are enjoying it to the fullest! Presidential Pools was absolutely great and this entire experience was painless. They built a quality pool in a timely fashion for a price that fit our budget. Bill Butler, Heather, Callie and the rest of the office staff, well, they were all great to deal with and all are very good at their jobs. I can't say enough good things about having Presidential Pools build our pool for us, I would highly recommend them! Gary Hickey Tucson

Our salesman Carlo, project manager Shane, and office staff Callie were so easy to deal with. The communication and follow-up during the project was exceptional...all of our questions and inquiries were answered without hesitation. Having a pool put in is an overwhelming and messy process. My best advice...hire Presidential Pools, work with your salesman, trust your project manager, stay out of the way, and let the process take care of itself. We started our project at the end of August and the pool was finished by the middle of October...including a 1 week delay because of weather.

You think you're getting a deal, but you're paying full price and then some. Very deceptive advertising. Tried to haggle with the salesperson and the owner. Offered me about $100 in accessories and that was it. When I tried to get a reasonably discounted price the owner basically told me to pound sand. All the "free" accessories they throw in to sweeten the deal are also marked up. Spa cover typically comes free with the spa from the manufacturer. The stairs, lift cover, and chemicals are all about half price on Amazon. Even the delivery fee is usually included in MSRP. This place wanted to charge an extra $675 for delivery and basically double dip on a full MSRP deal. They only care about their profit margins and they would rather lose a customer than give someone a reasonable discount. Do your research! I ended up buying the same exact Artesian spa from a dealer in the Phoenix area. I couldn't be happier that I shopped around. I saved over $4000 from what this place wanted to charge. No haggling, stress free, and all done over the phone. I got all the same accessories and chemicals included as well. To make things even better, delivery from Phoenix was only $499. So I even saved $150 on delivery and Phoenix is an hour and a half further from my house than Tucson. I would not recommend shopping here unless you like being taken advantage of and enjoy dealing with deceptive and greedy salespeople

I will do everything I can to share my story and follow him to make sure he never can do this to anyone else again. I find it comical and criminal the he has the audacity to use photos of my pool on this profile- Considering it's never functioned properly and it is riddled with so many problems.

At one point we went 8 weeks with no activity on the pool. Was quoted a 20 week, "but you'll be really happy when I get it done in 14" (project manager Darren's quote) and are now in week 35 and still not done. Pumps, filter and heater installed but don't work right. Heater doesn't work at all. Pipes still exposed near heater and pump/filter. Exposed wires everywhere. Access wall near gate torn down to get heavy equipment into yard and never rebuilt (we had to hire another place to do it). This bothered me the most because I have dogs and recently one of them got out because of the opening when the wind blew the construction fencing down. No reason for the wall to be down still. Rear yard is trashed. And then to top off everything we find out that the contractor LLC for Premier had their license revoked. While we have water in the pool it's not usable. Also recently one of the sub contractors showed up unexpectedly to ask about the company because he said they haven't gotten paid for their work. He said he went by the office and it's empty and no signs of anyone around. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS TO DO YOUR POOL UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR NOTHING BUT FRUSTRATION, ANGER AND UNFINISHED PROJECT!.

He's not only professional and knowledgeable but extremely helpful in all aspects of servicing our pool and spa. Cody is also very patient with us old folks and he has helped us greatly, especially when we first moved into our home, we had no idea how the pool and spa. Cody always took the time to take care of us as if we were his only customers. We've always felt as though we are number one, and we know he treats all his customers as if they are number one, and that is what makes Ballin Pool Service and Cody special because he actually cares and takes a great deal of pride in a job well done! Cody has also been involved with our pool refinishing and keeping on eye on things while we've been out of town. He checks on the refinishing project weekly and also provides photos of the refinisher's progress. We always recommend Ballin Pool Service to all our friends. You can always count on Cody to take care of your pool, spa, and equipment as if it were his own, and he will always keep you informed and up to date. In today's world, it's good to know that there are people and companies who will provide a service of the highest quality and that the owner is trustworthy and caring, and Ballin Pool Service is that company. We highly recommend Ballin Pool Service (and the owner Cody) for all your pool cleaning and repair needs. You simply will not find a better pool service in all of Arizona! The Jones Family.

It's now been 2 years and they've been through two service managers and I resend them the photos they say they will get back to me to schedule their guy and I never hear from them. I am so disappointed in this experience. We have stayed with them for their very expensive weekly service because we are loyal people, but I'm beyond frustrated with our experience. I really feel like once the build was done they don't care. I've reached out to them so many times and nothing but crickets. This is not how you should treat people who have remained loyal to you and over paid on your weekly service. The last service guy that was here said that the reason why our pool was so dirty (so we paid an extra $15 for each vacuuming) is because half of our built-in cleaning system isn't working. Our regular service guy never alerted us of this and now we're having trouble with the entire cleaning system, and this pool is only 3 years old. Noah, you said that you would happily replace all of the travertine tiles that your pool guy broke. I don't appreciate being treated like this after we spent $160,000 with you. If you want to finally fix this like you said you would reach out to my husband because I'm done working with you.
