I came in to look at salt cells for my family's pool. I was approached by a woman who wasn't even in a uniform. She had a pink shirt, and was dressed as if she was a customer. She looked at me in a judgmental way, and asked if I needed help while looking me up and down. She then stared at me and watched me. She also started to change all of the music while I was in the store. I've been coming here with my family for years and my dad has always loved the station. Who is this lady! Some corporate snob. Then I needed to replace the valve shut off (I broke the old outdated one) Kurt came out just 2 days later & replaced it with a new one. I brought my pool vacuum in about two weeks ago. We had tried to change parts, adjust the wheels, you name it. It just was spinning. Lori was able to assess the problem, coordinate with me, get the right parts, and got our vacuum running again. I want to see thank you Lori. I went in to return door alarms for our home. For a few reasons. 1)they are overpriced here 2)they are too bulky to fit on a few of our thinner door frames I proceed, while I went in to return the guy working was adamant that I won't pass our county inspection without these alarms. I politely responded with "I have already looked at the UL 2017 list and Home Depot has thinner alarms there" he responds with "well they have to be 2017 UL listed" I say "yes, I'm aware. Home Depot has UL 2017 listed alarms" he goes " well you won't pass without this bypass, that these alarms have" i go "okay, I wasn't aware of that but I will call our pool contractor." He very Rudely reiterated "you're not going to pass!" I just said "we will see , how about that". Well....I PASSED! With Home Depot alarms and I asked the Pima county inspector if you needed a bypass, he said NO! That it is preference only. So all of this to say...save your money, and do your research we needed 4 alarms and would have spent over $130 there because of fear tactics the employees are pushing! I saved $40 and a lot of hassle just going to Home Depot! read more

We purchased a Game waterproof speaker 3 days prior to returning it. I don't blame Leslie's Pool Supply for the inferior quality of the product, but I do hold them responsible for the horrible customer service and their ridiculous return policy. As for the boys behind the counter, they really need some customer service training desperately. With all the other pool stores in the area, they need to stand out and provide top not service. Instead, the only thing they stand out for is having horrible customer service. read more

ZERO stars is what I like to give!! This store/employees are NOT up to par with the other Leslie's pool stores I've been to. Went in for a water test not knowing to much about the pool as we just moved in. I told the employee ( Wish I had gotten his name) there were a few things going on most importantly a slight algae issue. He had quite an attitude saying he could test the water but if it needs chemicals he couldn't give exact amounts. Ok, that's fine. He informed me that the pool should probably be drained or if I didn't want to do that I needed acid, chlorine and an algae treatment. I thanked him for his time and left!! Went to the Leslie's on First and Oracle, WOW what a difference! Employees were very friendly and helpful. The employee told me NOT to add ANY chemicals but to drain about 2 feet of water and refill it. Let it run for a day and come have the water tested again and we'll go from there! That is the Leslie's service I'm accustomed to having as we've had other pools for YEARS ! Beware.. seems like employees just want to sell you things you DON'T really need! read more

Overpriced, Horrible staff, trained to rip you off, not help. Asked about my motor not working. Off the bat it was "replace. $300 please" Couldn't afford so searched around, talked to Naughton's, they recommended I change the capacitor ($28, good as new). RECOMMEND researching before you make a purchase. Also, never buy your poles, nets, or filters from Leslies. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and pay literally half the cost for the exact same stuff read more

This place is horrible! I can't say that enough without swearing outright. We bought a $3,000 pool heater from them which then broke in less than 3 months, even before the 90 day workmanship guarantee was set to expire. We called them for service and they took 3 days to come out, then stated that our water chemistry was out of range, ignoring the fact that the pump hadn't been running for 3 days due to the broken heater and that the pool had leaked a bunch of water. I'm not sure how it couldn't be out of range at that point. They left and then called us stating that they weren't going to replace the part because our pool chemistry was so bad. I was not happy, so they sent out a second employee to do an inspection. I showed them proof from my pool chemical company that my water was not out of parameters, yet they still won't replace the part. They even said they wouldn't give free work because the break wasn't the fault of the installer, as if I would buy from them again anyway. How convenient for them to use their own in-house inspectors to decide if a part will be covered by warranty. This company is so crooked they're looking their own ass in the face. Avoid this company at all costs! read more

I've been using Leslie's Pool Supplies on Thornydale for almost 3 yrs and couldn't be happier with the service. Well actually, with Norm. He's the best. I've never had a pool before and I was constantly having algae issues and he wrote down exactly what I needed to buy, how to use it, when I needed to apply it. Everytime I have a pool emergency, which seems to be often, I just call and speak with, or stop in and talk to Norm and the issue is rectified. He's the only person, since I've lived here, that actually is trained and has the knowledge to help his customers. The entire community (pool owners) would be lost if he is ever transferred from the Thornydale location. read more

I used to think Leslie's was overpriced. After checking chlorine content as well as price I now buy my chemicals here. They are knowledgeable and helpful. They also service cleaners, pumps and like equipment without charging for labor if you buy the parts from them so it saves me time and money overall. read more

Well, if you own a pool in Tucson, you perhaps have gone to Leslies and paid their exorbitant prices for their very average products that you can get elsewhere, but you might have a had question or two about pool chemistry etc. That is about the only reason I would visit one of these location's. It was always my accepted assumption "I am getting ripped off, but its convenient". that us until customer service becomes so appalling that you just don't return. That was my experience today at the Ina road location while having to deal with a "Manager " named Mark. I have never met a retail person let alone a manager so unskilled in communication and customer interaction that I ended up loosing my temper. (pretty rare for me) he challenged me on parts I brought in to have repaired as if I was trying to get a broken part for free #$@&? all while not returning the complete item I took in for repair to begin with. I think items are gathers at the front desk and then dumped in back room for review, god knows what happens from point A to B.. There is no reason for any employee to be so unskilled and untrained to nit have any basic manners. so if you want to lay to much for supplies and be lectured by high school kids who would rather be someplace else then Leslies is for you. To me poor service should never be rewarded, shop around maybe find an independent, at least for repairs. this was all about a Broken Kreepy Krauley BTW the most overpriced unreliable piece pool equipment ever made. They break every 2 years like clock work. You can now get an aftermarket generic type product for about 25% of the cost on ebay/amazon). to yourself a favor drive by this store read more

We've been dealing with pool supply companies for over 20 years and have been going to this Leslie's for a couple of years. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Norm has been extremely helpful and has given me some very valuable tips on keeping my pool maintained. We recently painted our pool and I don't feel like I would have been prepared to do this job without Norm's help. He runs the store in a very professional manner. read more

Have been a customer of Leslie's at this location for years - but no more. With new management at this site, customer service is lackluster at best. While friendly, staff has no imagination as to how to meet clients' needs and stick to policy, not exhibiting that "above and beyond" attitude so essential to today's successful businesses. Sad to say, but focus is on the bottom line, not customer satisfaction which will negatively impact the bottom line, in a short time. Took a motor and pump in for warranty repair (motor was three months old) - took a week to get it back and only needed a capacitor. After three calls to reach a district manager to assist in expediting the repair, finally got it back. Reinstalled just in time, before the summer heat turned everything green - but then they could sell me more chemicals and algae treatments. Clever system. read more

As of 6 pm today I am no longer a Leslie's Pool Customer. I had to return /exchange a manifold for my DE filter. The reason for the exchange was that the sales person ordered the wrong part. When I originally ordered the part I provided the salesman a clear photo of the manufacturer's label showing the manufacturer and model of my filter. The salesman looked up the part number and ordered the manifold. I returned the manifold for exchange today as it did not fit my filter. I had originally stopped by two days ago to exchange the filter and the girl looked up the part number again and confirmed that I had received the wrong part. I was told I had to return on Tuesday as only the manager Norm could approve the return. I returned today, Norm was there but a different sales person again looked up the part number and confirmed again that I had received the wrong part. When the return was processed I did not receive credit for the shipping fee on the original part and was being charged again for shipping on the replacement part. When I questioned it, Norm was very arrogant and condescending to me and stated that I must have supplied the wrong filter information when I originally ordered the part even though the same photo was shown to two additional employees who confirmed the wrong part had been ordered. According to Norm, I must now wait several weeks to receive my replacement part which can not be tracked and an anticipated delivery date can not be given because I refused to pay a second shipping charge to correct a Leslie's employee's error. read more
