There are a lot of pool companies out there, but Splash Pool is the very best. They are totally honest, reliable and helpful. I have been a regular customer for over 10 years and have several times had occasion when they have come to solve a problem with the pool and have not charged. I've hired Splash Pools several times over the past 15 years. (My husband, chem degree, usually handles the 'day to day' ) But when there are larger issues to tackle, I ALWAYS can count on Splash. They come out to assess the problem, give VALUABLE advice and in a short period of time, have always been able to get our pool back up to the 'Blue Lagoon' status. Paid in full for service in two pools for quite some time. Pools were left in poor condition and are now a documented health concern. Asked for latest dates and results of water tests and we're told they didn't do them everytime. Company stated further that info was emailed to us, except the info was emailed to wrong email address. Numerous calls have gone unanswered, and company is not forthcoming with information or are they responsive to remediating the problems, but cashed all of our checks in a timely fashion. I would fill in our pools with gravel before I let these guys touch a pool of mine. If you are currently with them, demand a complete water test showing complete water condition of your pool. It strongly appears that the level of chlorine was used in extremely high doses and unnecessarily harmed two peeble surfaced pools that they were paid to clean and maintain. Moreover, their complete disregard for the well being of our pools appears to have caused water conditions that could cause serious health concerns. We needed a new pool pump. Our current pool serve took forever, weeks to give us a quote, which we are still waiting on. We called Splash pools. They responded quickly. They came out right away and our quote was given in the same day. Once we accepted the quote, they came out the next day. Blake the guy that installed it was extremely nice. So never once have I left a bad review until now (Turning into an old man). I had service with them since Covid began. I liked what they brought to the table and other than a few hiccups it was good, usually good when the manager would come out and clean, after we would complain that the pool was left dirty. We paid for full service and never once was the pool scrubbed. I let it go simple enough because pool was clean enough that was after I put a bunch of new equipment in, they said would work better so I did. Which is funny because it makes their job easier so shouldn't they scrub on full service?!? Then it was pool needs to be drained so we paid. The plan was for them to start filling when they pick up their device and since we did not answer the phone, they decided it was better not to start the water. Which was not the plan we had agree for water to be on and I had my camera on it to keep an eye on water level. Also note that they had set a date and overbooked because they reached out to postpone the date that was already agreed upon because they did not have a pump available. Now I must rearrange resources to have available so the pool does not overflow which is why I was upset when they did not turn on the water knowing since they pushed it a day out. It takes one day for them to pump the water out, the next day they turn on the water. Basically, Monday they were supposed to start they pushed until Tuesday that is fine since the water will be turned on Wednesday and the pool will be filled before I am out of town Thursday, wrong... They will say it is there way but when you make an agreement on something you stick to it! Not do the opposite and then make excuses. Which is what this company does lack of communication for a family friendly company they are like the brother that always complains, and the mom (manager) must try and save the day. They decided this was better idea to leave off than what was agreed upon. Then I called asking someone to go out and turn it on... no answer, left a voicemail. Called again end of day nothing no return call. Then when I finally get home, I must finish the job myself. Left a frustrated voicemail. Probably not proudest moment of my life but no yelling just getting my point across of a job not completed. Then they call me when I was asleep so after I woke up, I called guess what no answer again. Called again no answer than they refund money won't service my house. This is insane I am on the road to phoenix for my job I can't read my emails and legally drive but... you guessed it no answer because of the way the voicemail was left well of course you did not follow what was agreed upon!!! Ha-ha well don't want your service anyways since you leave my pool exposed to the sun for two days. My first time ever warning people of a company that has charged me a bunch of money and did not complete job and because I left a frustrated message they run and hide and not communicate properly with the client. I gave two stars because when the manager comes out the pool gets scrubbed . Hmmm anyways funny is they overpaid me and now I can't communicate because they don't answer to give them their money back. I always pay for my service even if I don't like it. It is insane a company would be this disrespectful. Use them if you want this is just my experience. Watch out they will make some excuse about this review I was reading their other bad reviews and they always find a way to seem like they were in the right. Honestly all he had to do is talk to me and this whole situation would have been handled. Not everyone can communicate over email. That is why I need to talk and there is no admitting they are wrong instead of owning up to their mistake they end my service leaving my pool dirty and empty. Oh forgot to mention I left them a lot of chances to professionally communicate with me over the phone and try to de-escalated my frustration by hearing why I am so upset. I did cuss it was 2 in the morning and they did not perform the job as agreed I did not yell I was talking in frustration. To clarify I called during business hours asking them to go and turn water on guess what no response like normal. But his review does not mention that, just justifies like he did nothing wrong. Lucky for me I am the consumer and they have a right not to service me but I can at least give you my experience. They did not perform the job they postpone and did not do what was agreed. I already had a camera setup to watch the water level like I agreed to turn off. It was never agreed for them NOT to turn the water on. They will justify and rationalize their actions. I know where I was wrong the difference is I can admit it this company can't. If you are considering service with them this is my experience. When I had a tight scheduling window due to other commitments he was able to accommodate my request to setup a specific appointment rather than a 2-hour service window. He arrived early and was friendly and knowledgeable. They offered competitive rates for monthly pool service and helped install a new pool vacuum (and shared info about rebates). Horrible experience! Over the last year and a half. They have failed to handle the chemical balance in my pool. And every time algae showed up, which was constant, they blamed my equipment, replace the water, filter, pump too small, too much vegetation, which we replaced filter as they suggested. They up sold us a filter with cartridges when we specifically said no cartridges. They over shocked the pool every other week resulting in the water no longer able to hold any chlorine. Never once was it their responsibility! Here are the cartridges we didn't have that should have been cleaned and weren't because they didn't dare tell us what they had done. Then today Matt tries to tell me DE filter shouldn't be taken apart. Then how does this get cleaned??? See you in court over $2000 in damages run don't walk away from these liars! I've been using Splash Pool Service for almost 2 years, I started with them back in July 2017 when I bought my house. I use both a Dolphin robotic vacuum and a creepy crawly, I let these guys handle all the chemicals. Not once has my pool turned green, despite having 2 Mesquite Trees that constantly drop rice sized leaves into my pool. I've seen a lot of negative reviews, but I haven't had any issues, the guys at the office seem knowledgeable and my pool remains crystal clear. For all I know, the service is great once they start. I've been completely unable to get ahold of anyone. I left a clear message requesting a call-back (including my return phone number twice, just to be sure). No call-back in 5 days. I called again and someone picked-up, asking me to hold. After 10 minutes on hold I was transferred to voice mail. I'm not sure what type of "customer service" other reviewers are used to, but this is usually considered "poor" and undeserving of business. Terrible experience with this company. They let algae grow in our pool. The technician was here for literally 30 seconds. We timed it.

I needed my pool drained and Matt was super helpful and provided great information about the process. His technician came out, set up the pump and got it going. He returned the next day when the pool was empty and picked up the pump and hose. I got my pool filled and we're now enjoying it! I have used this service for 3 months and they were incapable of keeping my pool clean. By the 2nd week of July the pool was green and despite several visits could not remedy the problem. Each time insisting that my filter wasn't working properly. After spending $85 to have my filter checked, it was in good working order, the technician said you cannot maintain a pool during the summer on a twice per month service schedule and recommended to try Pima Chemical which services the pool weekly for the same price. I called them the next day, they were able to make a service call in 24 hours and three days later my pool is crystal clear. read more

Laziest pool service ever! Watched them come over and test the water but hardly ever add any chemicals. One guy even mentioned that the pool was turning green, but responded that someone will come by to add chemicals. No one ever came by. I have used you pool service for many years. Sometimes you service man is top notch and some times not so good. The current service person is in such a hurry that all he does is only to check the floating tablet container and never checks the pool water. I called these guys three times and was told on each occasion that Mark, the service guy, would call me back. After four days of trying I had not received any call. Finally, Mark called and scheduled a time to come drain the pool. At 35 minutes after the time he was supposed to arrive I phoned him. No reply. 20 minutes later I called again. No answer. I called the main office. A woman there said she would call Mark and promised to call me back. 30 more minutes elapse with not a single response.. with my complexion turning Looney Tunes red with rage I called the main office again. The same woman who promised to call me back diffidently told me she had left a message with Mark. Incredulous, I asked why she had not called me back?!? She didn't apologize and just blew off my question. These people are disorganized; dealing with them may result in injury to the part of your brain that expects rational behavior. They don't seem to grasp basic customer service. They may be aliens from a planet in the Indifferent system. Avoid at all cost! read more

I am also really sorry I bought a Groupon for Splash. The Groupon noted 'two months' of service, but they just tried to charge me per visit over that - saying that they came more than the allotted times, which is no where in the agreement. Also, in August they changed our schedule and didn't notify us, so the first my wife knew they were coming was when she saw a man jumping over our wall into the backyard. She nearly called the cops. When we called, the office staff were completely disinterested; we wrote a letter to the owner and he did not respond. The owner said he would only provide chemical service. Any business that does not honor their advertisements is not a business I would ever recommend. I wish I would have found splash pools earlier. I've tried many services and I was beginning to lose hope. No one ever seemed to care about keeping my pool In good shape. All they would do is just come in and do as little as possible and leave as soon as possible. But not splash. I hired them for chemicals and they took the time to go over my system and adjusted my valves. I guess they were wrong because before my spa was always dirty. But now it and my pool are always clean:) I don't why my other services didn't figure that out. We have been clients of Splash Pools since the early 90's. We have never had an issue with our pool or the staff at Splash. Their pool technicians are reliable and very knowledgeable. They have done a great job of keeping us informed if we needed to replace equipment or remove pool covers to ensure that the chemicals can do their job. Just bought a house. During inspection I had the pool inspected and was given an excellent as in all equipment and plaster etc were in great shape.I hired splash service to maintain my pool. I requested weekly full service instead of the regular bi weekly service and paid extra.My service was terrible.They would say they back washed and tested and treated the pool when they didn't ( as unknown to them we were home). In the end they tried to ad large amounts of chlorine to my excessive low PH pool. creating permanent green what I believe are copper stains. I Had a beautiful clean pool when I started service and ended up with a green pool and stained walls due to lack of chemical use and or incorrect chemical use.The owner Matt is very proud of their company and will not take responsibility. He will talk a mile a minute and does not listen to the customer at all, Instead he tried to tell me that my pool was stained to begin with and that my pump and filter need to be serviced. After a 4 month nightmare with these guys I discontinued service. They did however refund my expenses in full and it's appreciated but doesn't equate to the thousand dollars of expense they created as my plaster is now permanently ruined. Be aware read more

these people do not know what there doing. they had my water so out of balance. i took some of my water to have it tested and it was way off the chart. when i called some lady told me that the numbers were exactable and that she had been doing this for 35 years. well it is my pool and my money so i want the numbers to be right not exactable she said to me not to have my water tested because they were the ones that serviced my water.... wrong thing to say to me. read more

I tried Splash Pools service beginning last June after spending the last few summers struggling with balancing the chemicals myself. I was somewhat skeptical of their claims that they would only need to come out every other week since there was no way I had been able to go a week without adding chemicals. I did have to call a few times initially because the pool was green. Once I called them the same day the service person was supposed to come out. I had tested the pool and found it to have no chemicals in it although he had already been here. I was told it was a 'filtration' problem. But I watched as they added chemicals and this time when I tested the water 4 hours later, the chlorine levels were up and within a few days the water cleared up. Although I did have a green pool on both long weekend holidays last summer, they did eventually seem to get it straightened out and coming only every other week seemed to work ok. Then in late January I noticed my pool was again getting a green tint. And I hadn't found the slip of paper that they normally leave when they service since the first part of January. I thought maybe the wind blew it away and so waited until the first Feb service. Still no slip of paper. And The pool was even greener. So I called. I was pretty much told that of course they had serviced the pool. They chemicals were fine! After a 2nd and 3rd call a week later without any efforts on the part of Spash pools to correct the issue, I cancelled my service. I am certain that no one had serviced the pool since the beginning of January and I can't afford to pay for services that are not occurring. After the cancellation, I put chlorine in once (shock), and tabs in the floater. After the algae died and the resulting cloudiness cleared up It's been fine. Obviously there can't be a 'filtration problem' since I did nothing except add chlorine. Another issue I had with this company is that in the eight months that I had their service, I had 8 checks written using an on-line bill pay service. They lost 5 of them and so I had to contact the bank and have them send me copies to prove that I had paid. After it's all said and done...I would not use Spash pools again unless they could come up with some controls to assure that their service people are in fact doing the work and that they are monitoring the chemical levels. And they really need to find a better way to keep track of payments. read more
