Talked to Dustin about coming out and cleaning our Hayward filter. He setup same day service as his person was in the area already. Andrew came out and showed me all kinds of tips and tricks with the filter as he was cleaning. He was super nice, really knowledgeable and was very generous with his time. don't post a review much on companies, but I felt this was much needed. So the last couple years, I took it upon myself to do my own pool service. The last few months, I definitely have neglected it and things have gone downhill where it turned green a few times. The tile was completely filled with calcium buildup and basically just look like shit. My wife told me to reach out to Dustin to see what he thought and if he could take over the maintenance of the pool. I swallowed my pride and let Dustin and his crew take over. Tough to find a decent pool service, but I am VERY pleased with Dustin's Preservation Pros. Sean is our service person and he has done a great job with out pool. Chemicals are balanced as I like it (in other words, "done correctly!"), consistent complete cleaning jobs and is good communicator when I need to contact him. My pool had black algae which is very difficult to remove. Ricki did a great job in getting rid of it with a huge chlorine load and additional scraping. The owner, Dustin, came by and gave the pool a acid wash and now the pool, after 22 years, looks as close as possible to the original. They also installed a pool rail to allow my wife to enter the pool without mishaps, and are in the process of dealing with an aging pool heater that hasn't been usable for the last four years. I was initially concerned about the possible costs involved, but I have found their prices to be very fair. I am now going to turn my pool services over to them on a weekly basis since I can no longer do it myself. I would recommend anyone to give them a try. DISABLED VETERANS BEWARE!!!!! I contacted this company for a quote on maintaining our salt water pool. I am a retired %100 percent disable Veteran who served my country along with thousand other veterans. Preservation pool service gave me a bid of $135 a month, I asked if they offered a military discount. They then stated they originally hadn't seen the reflection of a mesquite tree over our pool and then stated that the bid would be $145 but he would give me a discount off of $10 a month which was the original bid of $135. I would have been ok if they didn't offer a military discount, but I felt he was trying to get one over on me. I'm writing this so veterans are aware of this shady company. read more
