We bought a new spa from Sunset Spas two years ago and have had nothing but trouble with it leaking. They sent a repair technician out once who made a repair which lasted for a few months before we had another leak. The second person came out a made repairs and since then we have called him out over the last 2 years, spending over $1000 of our own money to get it repaired. He said we have a "lemon" and suggested we list all the repairs we've had done and go meet with the manager. We did that. He said he had to send all our data to his "manager", and he'd get back to us. That was over 6 months ago and we've never heard a word. In the meantime we've had our repairman over 3 more times for leaks. We are so frustrated and don't know what else to do. We purchased a spa almost two years ago- immediately it had it had to be repaired due to chemicals left in the line and then 2 months later the panels started coming off and it leaked Every few months they came out to replace the panels. Finally a technician determined that the tub frame was bent on delivery. They requested to take the hot tub for 10 days. I was concerned with a bent frame that the repair wouldn't be great, and it was hot tub season, but I agreed. They have had my hot tub now for 3 months and are not responding. We don't even have the hot tub anymore. This hot tub has been out of service for longer than we have had it usable. I would just like my money back at this point. Don't buy here read more

We loved our spa for nearly 3years, but now that we have a problem, the service is terrible! Actually the worst service of any company I've ever seen. The service department is in Phoenix, (I'm south of Tucson) it takes DAYS to even get a return phone call. Then they schedule you weeks out, and the repair guy doesn't bring tools or supplies that might be needed. They should call back and reschedule, but no. I waited a week, then waited on hold nearly an hour to talk to someone who said she would "call me back". Nope that didn't happen either. My spa is under warrantee but their service is so bad, I'm looking at hiring (and paying for) a different company who will actually fix my spa. read more

If you are like myself: 1. You don't have a setup to put a spa on (electrical done, concrete/paver or dirt foundation is ready for a spa) 2. you purchase a spa that is not in stock, but they told you that they would order it, with the expected arrival in 6-8 weeks Then, you will probably regret going with this store. I definitely do regret. No support to know how to get the yard prepped (which side of the spa has the electrical connection? How much space around the spa should the foundation have at minimum? etc.) and no update on when I will get what I purchased. They do not have any licensed contractor referral for the prep work and we checked online to find people to order those jobs. Yes, they do give you a couple of names but those people are not licensed electrician nor a contractor, though they seem to do a good work. And almost 3 months after paying deposit, I have no idea when I will soak in the spa. read more

BUYER RUN do not beware!! I just bought my spa and it was delivered to me with a hole in the complete enclosure version I selected. I specifically was sold this tub due to the benefits of enclosed versus open bottom. I also was not given any updated info on how to operate the tub or how to start anything. Not even an owner's manual. (additionally the handrail was not installed as it had missing parts -- still nothing on that either) Appears the delivery people knew the hole was there and hoped I was not going to see it. I called immediately to report this issue.... and have not had anyone assist me to date. I have left message after message and get the rounded hand off -- this is not my department and I cannot assit lie. Had I seen the other reviews I NEVER would have been sucked into their deceitful tactics. DOUG ... lets talk about him a moment... RUN do not talk to him If you are in the middle of your purchase he is so careful to act like you matter. He is not a customer service guy... he is the good old fashioned hack job salesman after the commission. RUN RUN RUN Lies from the start and still rolling strong. So I have a very expensive damaged and not useable item in my yard that I just want to cry about instead of enjoy as a special gift to myself. Do not try to go through to management -- there is none, there is a "board" really -- I am so over their BS that I cannot wait to see what they finally determine is going to happen here. On October 4th of this year I saw a sale ad at Sunset Spas and decided to look at buying a spa. After talking to the sales person(Shea) that as long as I had 2020 wiring, they would do all the electrical installation without charge. I gave her my credit card and she had the sign the sales receipt and was told that I would receive a call in the next couple of days for delivery instructions. After looking at the contract I saw that I was totally responsible for the cost of the electric and decided I wanted to cancel. I called 1-1/2 hours later and toldl her I wanted to cancel. She then told me she did not know how and would have her boss Doug do it the next day. I immediately called the credit card company and put a stop to the payment. I called the manager first thing the next morning and he started getting nasty and told me they would charge me a 20% restocking fee. I told him that was not fair since I cancelled right away. He got nasty and hung up on me. I called him back but he did not answer. Then he called back and said he had already cancelled. So I considered the problem taken care of. Until I received my bill from the credit card company. Sunset spas sent a credit minus the 20% he charged me for restocking an item that never left their warehouse in Glendale. I am fighting this charge but apparently this is their mode of operation. Not being honest with their customers. I would never recommended them to anyone and hope sooner or later their business practices will come to the attention of the Arizona Attorney General. read more

Love our Spa!!! Has all the extras we wanted. When we ordered spa we also ordered a custom cover and umbrella. Love the umbrella but cover would not fit on spa due to the fact our spa is enclosed on three sides . After talking to representative who spoke to owner we got a full refund on cover. All I can say about this company is BUYER BEWARE!! I purchased a spa in August 2021 and one of the panels was totally destroyed when it was delivered. And the cover was the wrong size so I couldn't even use the metal device that open and closes it. I wish I had gone somewhere else because after calling and getting the run around for 2 years!!...at this point...no one is returning calls or even cares. I had a relative that had the same issue from this place. Once they sell the spa--you are on your own. There is absolutely NO customer service. We purchased our hot tub at the home show. The sales rep, Mike, was kind and informative but that's where the service ended. We were told we had to wait 3 weeks for delivery and were told to contact 'Marie' at the Tucson office for delivery set up. Five days later, after several emails and calls, she contacted us stating she needed measurements of the yard and that the delivery time would be setup closer to deliverydate. The week of delivery we still had no idea when they were coming. When contacted, Marie said "I told you it would be around 8-10". (?) The delivery men showed up that morning and were kind and courteous but were 'not allowed' to show us how the electrical panel worked as they were "told not to." When we asked 'Marie' about it, she sent the OWNERS MANUEL in an EMAIL and were told to scan the QR code for directions or call the Service number. The QR code is a product description and not an instruction. The Service number did not work on weekends. We're ready to have the stupid thing picked up again but like the other reviews, wonder if we will ever get our money back. Went to buy a spa for my new home in Tucson. From the moment you walk in the door, this place smells like a dispensary. Upon meeting the salesperson, it was clear where that smell was coming from as he had clearly been smoking pot most of the day. As a precious jacuzzi owner, I had a good idea of what I want and do not want in my next tub. The experience reminded me of dealing with used car salesmen back in the day. No matter what I asked about to learn the tubs they offer, I kept getting pushed to a brand I have never heard of and I clearly indicated I did not want. This place is a disaster. My last tub came from sunset spas in Glendale which is why I went there first but I can guarantee after this experience, I will be going elsewhere to spend my money. read more

First of all I would not even give this one star . So here we go visited this store with my girl friend as soon as we walked in we got a bad feeling . You can smell weed as soon as you Enter . It's disgusting . We also heard dogs barking like mad . Theo sales person came right over to us I believe his name was Doug . He asked us what we wanted and we said we were just looking . He followed us around it felt very intimidating actually asking questions etc . Then another man appeared I had a bad feeling . The guy was rude young and clearly was very high on The job .
