Very nice on the phone and the technician was very nice, however they charged 150 just to come look at my spa heater.. not touch it, just tell me it is old and needs to be replaced.. maybe took 4 minutes if at all. Definitely a ridiculous amount for literally no legit service. Felt like a money grab. They didn't respond to my email about the crazy amount. They sent an estimate that was way more expensive than it should cost to even replace that system. (I went elsewhere and they did a great job for far less) read more

Apparently, this company has a high turnover rate because the owner is incompetent of communication. From what I've been told and shown He likes to withhold paychecks from his employees does not keep appointments whatsoever. The communication process with this company is void . Owner Came out to my house to service My pool due to his employees quit on him, said that I needed to drain my pool have him acid wash it for a fee refill my pool, which was incorrect all I needed to do is treat my Pool per chemical. Then repeated it to tell me "I love this time of year it's when I make the most money " what a scam artist. Don't go with this Pool company. Find somebody else that's worth it that has 4.5 stars or above. They have a low rating for a reason. read more

Still awaiting check to cover the cost of pool refill, as promised in writing by Scott Payne, manager. He has made it clear he does not intend to keep his promise. I suppose because I won a contractor dispute. TPS replastered my pool with an inferior product called Stone Scapes, while I believed it to be Pebble Tec, approximately two years ago. The product developed rust stains. Google it. Then, TPS sold me a cartridge filter which was not adequate for my pool. Pentair, personally, made sure my filter was replaced with a sand filter, appropriate for my pool. All of my troubles with TPS began quite some time ago. If you want more details, please email me. I HIGHLY recommend this company. My first interaction with them was when I first purchased my fix-it-up house with a pool. The pool, like everything else, ended up not working not long after I signed. I was new to owning a pool and brought my broken part to pool stores around Tucson. This was the only pool company that was really helpful. They didn't have the part, but told me how to look it up on Amazon. Since my pool was out of commission for a couple of weeks, it got green, so I hired them to come out and get it up to clean status. Once again, they went above and beyond. They have a starting fee, but they said it didn't need that much maintenance and chemicals to get it up to clean, so they didn't even charge me the full starting price. I have used them for the last few years for service and I love my pool guy, Ernesto. Always friendly and feels like he looks out for me. I will say the same about Patrick and Walter. EVERY interaction I have had with either of them has been outstanding. The level of customer service I get with this company is unheard of - especially in this day and age. I never feel like they are trying to take advantage of me. I feel like they treat me like a family member. I am also shocked at how they remember me every time I walk in the door (come in maybe once a year). They even help out with equipment I purchased through Amazon. I had gotten a pool vacuum with Amazon because I had a gift card. That didn't matter to them. A little over a year after getting my vacuum, it had issues with the cord. I brought it into them and they said it should still be under warranty. Even though I got it through Amazon, they said they would take care of it and they did! This is a $600+ part and they got it warranted to me for free and only charged me for labor/parts for replacing wheels. This is just one example of the same type of service I receive over and over with them. The fact that they let me know it should be warranted AND I didn't have to figure out how to get it and deal with the manufacturer AND get a free part...PRICELESS! I have other similar examples from my 3 years of working with them. I recommended them to my neighbor who also has a pool and she has been much happier with the service they provide compared to the previous company she was using. read more

I recently had to replace my spa cover. The old cover had filled with water inside the lining making it impossible to lift. In addition, the spa had to be moved away from the patio wall to reach the attached cover frame. Walter went above and beyond to lift the cover, drain the water and reposition the spa. Zero stars Do not do business with Tucson Pool and Spa. They are unprofessional, dishonest and unreliable. After moving to Tucson in May, I was convinced to buy a new pool pump system. The installation in June of 2024 was without problems.  The technician told me to contact him in six months so that he could show me how to do the regular maintenace. On November 4th, I texted the technician and asked when he could come by to show me the maintenance steps. He replied a few hours later, saying that he could come by in 2 days. On November 6, I contacted him to find out when he would be coming. At 4:00 PM, he arrived.  Almost immediately upon entering the yard, he said that the motor on the pool pump system did not sound right.  He said that he wanted to replace the motor assembly and would show me the maintenance steps when he returned the following week with the replacement motor. On November 13th, I texted him to ask when he would be coming to replace the motor. He said between 2 and 3 pm.  2:00 PM came and went with no contact from him. On November 14th, after waiting all day for him to come to install the motor, I had no contact from him again. On Friday. November 15th. I called Tucson Pool and Spa to find out the status of the service offered. A woman answered the phone and I explained that the technician did not show up on either the 13th or the 14th , all without any word from the technician, or the office. Therefore, I requested another service technician to come out to replace the motor.  The woman on the other end of the phone said "Guess he kind of dropped the ball on that" with no other explanations or apologies. Then she said that I was on the schedule for the following Monday the 18th. As I had an appointment the morning of the 18th, I requested that they schedule the call for the afternoon.  The woman told me she would make a note to have hime come in the afternoon. On Monday, November 18th, I found myself waiting all afternoon for the technician to show. I received no texts. I received no phone calls. And I received no apologies for my time being wasted for a third day. On Tuesday, November 19th, I went to Tucson Pool and Spa to speak to someone in person about the seeming indifference to my wasted time and to seek an explanation and some resolution. I was put in touch with Josh, whom I was told was the manager. Again, Josh was rather unapologetic about the wasted time and said he would look into it and get back to me. Later that day, Josh called me to say the technician would be out the next day. On Wednesday, November 20th, the technician texted me at 7:25 AM letting me know that the office told him I had been there and that he will be out to my house the following day as he had called in sick this day. I let him know that I had the hours of 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Available. On Thursday, November 21st at 12:15 PM, the technician showed up and proceeded to show me the service and maintenance on the filters that I had asked for. The technician commented that he was still waiting for the part and would be working the following Monday and Tuesday and would install the new part then. I commented that it would be right before Thanksgiving. but he assured me that he would do it. Monday and Tuesday came and went, so I let the holiday pass to give Tucson pool and spa the time to get the replacement part. On December 4th I called TPS and was told that Josh was in the warehouse and would call me when he gets back. Later that day Josh called me and said "we'll call you when the part comes in". On January 6th, 2025, I called the manufacturer of the pump filter system and spoke with somone who told me that there was no order on record for my pool pump/filter nor was there any order for pool parts since Nov 19th. After hearing that my part had never even been ordered I called Tucson Pool and Spa and asked to speak with Josh and was told again that he is "in the warehouse and will get back to me when he gets back". Josh has yet to return my phone call. It is now the end of January. I spent over $5000 for a new pool pump filtration system from Tucson Pool and Spa. However, I assume that decent customer service is extra. I found their technicians, salespeople and office managers indifferent. They obviously lied about the order and are playing games and deceiving customers. Managers do not get back in touch with you, and they are apparently unabashed at their unprofessionalism and lack of courtesy. It is the same behavior I've read in several other reviews on this company. Avoid this business if you want to avoid unprofessional, dishonest, unreliable service. And indifference to wasting customers' time. read more

If I could give zero stars I would . I set up an appointment with Tucson pools and no one showed up . Then I got an email after I reached out and ask why did no one showed up that says this . I have had little to no interaction with any pool tech . I usually just say hello and goodbye and thank you . So I'm so very much confused . We purchased a spa in 2005 from here and had good service from them for the time we had warranty on our spa. But once the warranty was up we have had HORRIABLE service from these people. We live in Sierra Vista but they really can't use that as an excuse for not taking care of us as we DO pay for the distance we live. We have been trying to get a new lid and service done on our spa since the first part of July 2023 it is now 2/2024 and still getting the run around. they have now told us (3wks ago)the lid is in but not settling on a day to deliver and fix the spa, we have had numerous dates now never to see anyone and when called the answer is"someone must not have made a note" HORRIABLE COMPANY TO WORK WITH!! read more

There should be a 0-star rating for companies like this. Tucson Pool and Spa quoted us $950, twice, for a handrail and install, and for replacing out lightbulb. In the end, we were sent an invoice for nearly $1,110. The install was horrible. The tech didn't come with a full set of tools and made a disaster out of our backyard, all of which was captured on two security videos. For some unknown reason, he leaned the powder-coated handrail all the way over on our high-end outdoor dining table. It fell. The handrail now has a gigantic blade-like gash in it, which we must now get repaired because it immediately cuts the skin when touched. The dining table, which was brand new, is now ruined. When the handrail fell, it also took down a brand new chair, which we will also need to get replaced. The install itself was horrible. Because he had a very difficult time drilling and placing, he stained two blocks of CoolDeck, which will now need to be professionally cleaned. The handrail also doesn't match the direction we were very clear about -- it's crooked in connection to the pool and yard. He also left tools thrown about, one of which was painfully buried into a shoe when we walked out into our yard one evening. Without asking or letting us know, he tech also went to a different part of the yard and used a special dry broom to try to clean up his mess, which left our broom heavily soiled in dust and concrete. We'll need to replace that, too. The tech left without even attempting to replace the lightbulb. He called us later that say and said he would return, and we never heard from him again. Aside from being charged considerably more than our estimate, the work of replacing the lightbulb wasn't even performed. We're also looking at paying an additional $3,000 to replace the handrail, have it reinstalled in a way that matches the direction of the yard, having our brand-new outdoor table replaced, as well as the chair that he ruined, and the broom he should have never touched. In the end, because of Tucson Pool and Spa, we're going to pay nearly $5,000, just for a handrail. We paid the invoice in full and sent an email about what occurred and never heard back. We feel ripped off by a company that lied, never performed what they overcharged us for, ruined our backyard, and completely ignored us since. Don't trust them with your home or your pool. read more

Terrific service! Pool tech is consistent, fast and keeps our pool looking amazing- couldn't recommend this company more. We have two smaller, yappy dogs and it's never been an issue- tech goes right past them when they're outside (and they loudly bark like crazy and follow him, poor guy). Also got our spa from them and it works sooo much better than our previous spa- they were friendly and knowledgeable on the subject and helped us get it set up right away. read more

Bought our 3rd new spa in our lifetime from them - we're fairly new to the Tucson area and checked out a few places. We came in and pondered our options several times and they were always very friendly and knowledgeable, never feeling rushed. When we finally pulled the trigger we got some great discounts on a fantastic tub - delivery and setup were super. Even called with some silly questions and got prompt answers. Nice lady in the office that answers the phone, but terrible customer service otherwise. Do not hire this company to service your pool. They ruined my brand new pool in about 2 months. Doug the technician was a grumpy guy that said uncalled for threats to me like, "if a dust storm ever comes along and blows dirt into your pool, i'm done." I asked "what do you mean done?" and he said he would no longer work on my pool. First of all, my pool is never dirty, and there is no threat of my RAISED pool yard being attacked by a dust storm filling the pool. And he said something else along those lines threatening me....OKAY, so I started looking for a new technician, one that was going to help me, not threaten me, and when he tested my water he and one other 3rd party verified the extremely high levels of Cyanuric acid and said I need to drain my pool and start over. Tucson pool confirmed my CYA levels were perfect when they started my pool service a couple of months ago. The water still LOOKS perfect too, but the CYA levels are unacceptably high now and they don't test for that on a regular basis as the technician would have to bring a water sample back to the office (and how would a consumer know to do this on their own or what it even is if you're paying for someone else to keep your water treated correctly) and it's unfortunately due to the type of chlorine tabs they use. Just skip this company or else you will be sorry if you ever even realise how they ruined your crystal clear water with this invisible problem. They also won't take any responsibility for the problem even though they confirmed the level was perfect when they started service and now is 3 times the recommended level. They would not handle my issue in a professional manner when I called to speak to the owner, I talked to Lee who tried to blame it on someone else (God only knows who else could have done this!) They could have made it right by re-imbursing me for the water bill I will now face to replace the water, but it looks like i'm screwed unless I win in small claims court. DON'T TRUST THEM. I am a Realtor and this company was recommended by a client who has crystal clear water, so they were also duped. And they will no longer use them nor will any of the clients that ask me to refer them to my pool co of choice. read more
