We went to CC's the other day mid afternoon during a slower time we were 1 of 3 tables seated in the restaurant. Ambiance: Restaurant is located on the ground floor of a large office building complex. They have a nice patio with quite a few tables all shaded, so a nice option for lunch. Interiors of restaurant were nice and somewhat generic. Does not scream Cajun Creole restaurant. Looks like the space was taken over from a previous restaurant or coffee shop. Service: The ladies that helped us were both very friendly and nice. Seated us immediately. Brought food in a very timely manner. Food: shrimp and grits - shrimp were good served in a tangy kind of sauce. Shrimp were cooked perfectly. The cheese grits were very tasty. The red beans and rice were good. A tad on the salty side. The cornbread was dense, perhaps from a cornbread jiffy mix. Definitely could be better. We were anxious to try the wings we had read about on Yelp but doesn't appear those are a regular item. Menu overall has American items ( sandwiches, burgers, breakfast items) as well as the Cajun type of items. Obviously the are catering to the office crowd while doing some Cajun creole fare. Leaves menu a little disjointed. Would have liked to see more Cajun offerings. read more

It was a Friday morning and pouring rain. I was in the area and decided to give this place a try. I walked in and was immediately greeted and helped. The gentleman taking my orders name was Jay I believe and he was very informative about the menu and helped me make a decision. The place has a Mardi gras home vibe, it's like being in your favorite neighbors house. The dankenstein wings were so juicy and flavorful and the chicken salad sandwich was satisfying as well. Ordered the catfish meal with 2 sides: mac and cheese and collard greens. Also ordered a coke. Waitress forgot the coke. Another employee brings out my meal. The catfish was EXTREMELY salty, the batter and fish. Asked the other employee for a coke as the original waitress never checks in on me. I told the employee the fish was TOO salty. She brought out a new plate of food. The second plate of fish was still TOO salty but not quite as INTENSE as the first plate. The employee walked by and asked how is the food. I said 'its better but still too salty'. She replied 'Yes, I tasted it and it was too salty, but they (cooks?) said they couldn't taste it. I don't know, it's whatever they soaked the fish in to prepare it.' Then she walked off. I tried but couldn't eat the fish. The sides were decent so I ate most of those. I was not offered a discount or to have the fish removed from my bill. The waitress finally came around with the bill and asked if I wanted a to-go plate after not checking in on the service the whole time I was there. No, I do not need a to go plate or stroke from the overly salted fish. Wish I could've had a more pleasant experience. read more

I'm so happy we found this place on TikTok. It's not a place you'll find just driving past since it's surrounded by office buildings. But we came here and tried their breakfast sandwich, smoked turkey and their praline French toast. Breakfast Sandwich 10/10. It's been really hard for me to find a great breakfast sandwich in AZ I'm originally from Jersey where we pride ourselves on that dish. The freshness with their seasonings moves them to my favorite sandwich in AZ. Also it came with sweet tater tots. Top tier better than cold beer and cheeseburgers Praline French toast 8.5/10. Was amazing, every bite had a bunch of flavors that complimented each other, then you add the crunch to die for. For sure my new go to breakfast place. After hearing about this restaurant, my daughter took me there. I have been looking for good shrimp and grits since I left Ohio. Not everyone can make them. These were excellent! I will be back to try other items on the menu. My daughter had the Fish Box. What a disappointment. The menu says 2 pcs + 2 sides + cornbread. When her order was delivered, she only received 1 piece of catfish, red beans and rice and collard greens and cornbread. When I asked our waitress about the second piece of catfish, we were told that if the fillets are small, you get 2, but if they are large, you only get 1. I would like to know why that is not on the menu and why did I have to pay for 2 pieces? She still charged us for 2 pieces and 2 sides which was $21.00. I feel that an update should be done to the menu if this is how it is going forward. The only thig that will bring me back is the shrimp and grits. Please keep servers informed on changes that are made before they order. read more

Well seasoned food (some overcooked) just don't expect top notch service. Parking can be a little confusing but you will be good if you park in the garage that's recommended on their site. There's a sign to help you see the restaurant as soon as you walk out of the garage. read more

I was very disappointed, will not recommend or return. The wait times are very long, waited a little over an hour for our food and it didn't even come out hot. Overpriced and taste was not good at all. The worst greens & Mac/cheese I have ever had. My partner also ordered a 4 piece chicken which only came with 3 pieces and they gave him ALL breast. I have never been to a place that's gives all breast or at the least ask if that's what you want. When we inquired about it they told us a breast counts as 1 1/2 chicken so that's why he was given 3. This was not mentioned on the menu at all and for the price it's actually quite insane. Overall all terrible experience. read more

Service was great. But it was hard for me to get passed all the oil in the jambalaya. You can see it in the pictures I added. Once I spooned out all the oil, it was decent. They were pretty generous with the shrimp, which were pretty good size. But don't think I would order it again. My next visit will be to try the Shrimp and Grits. read more

I was so excited when I found this place. Since Baby Kays moved east, there hasn't been any place to gett the Cajun staples in central Phoenix. Restaurant was clean, looke nice. The lady that helped me was pleasant. Placed a takeout order of the jambalaya. Website ahows a bowl with a side of rice, and cornbread. Quite unfortunate when I get home to find no cornbread, a pretty small bowl of food, with the rice inside the the bowl leaving an even smaller amoun of jambalayat. For $20 (with shrimp), this wasn't a good value. Two stars as the food tasted good. The hastle of the parking garage, missing items, and small portions doesn't encourage a return visit, but I'll try them again, dining in to see if the experience is any different . read more

They had a little kick to it but not too overpowering, for me at least and I really don't eat spicy food. Only thing I didn't like was, that the portion was kind of small. This is a must frequent spot!! I'm usually here once a week, but have been missing in action for a few weeks. That being said, I'm about to pop in there today for lunch. I'm a creature of habit so shrimp and grits is definitely getting eaten today. Might go for a side of catfish, or see what my guy Chef Dev is whipping up on the fly. Good food from good people. Full disclousre, I have known Chef Devan for about a year. We frequent the same cocktail bar and I see him at other spots around town. I had never had his food before last Halloween. Then I was at and event (the same event Victor H. mentioned in his review) and Devan offered me some of his chicken wings. I declined at first as I am not much of a wings person. I have tummy issues with spicy foods and I discovered this eating wings as a teenager. He insisted though and I am so glad he did. He brought his wings to another event a few months later and when I saw him bring in the container, I knew instantly what was inside and my eyes went wide, then I swooped in like a vulture. I was drinking next to Devan recently and was telling him that I needed more of his wings in my life. That's when he told me that he had opened a spot with his mom. I was at CC's for lunch two days later. I tried go back a few days after that, but my work had other plans. Definitely going again beginning of next week. I wasn't up for 40 wings on my own, if I had one complaint, it's that there isn't a half order option. Though I think next time I am just going to go for it and take the leftovers home, they are just too good. I got the burger instead and wasn't disappointed. Chef Devan took care of me though and brought me a small plate of wings. He also brought me samples of a few other things. Everything was so delicous. I am amazed I didn't slip into a happy food coma. It is a little tucked away, but completely worth finding. There is plenty of parking in the parking garage and CC's validates with no time limit. I live in Chandler and getting to Central and Thomas on a weekeday is not an easy thing for me, but I plan on being a regular at CC's. read more

Yes, this place is close to my office. So far I tried the red beans and rice and I picked up a breakfast burrito and that was good too. parking is pretty tricky. You have to remember to park in the right garage and get your ticket punched and validated. I'll be back a bunch of times it's a cool place. I love Cajun/creole food. I do a lot of cooking myself. I was in the downtown area and decided to stop in after hearing great reviews. The customer service was remarkable and the food arrived fast. I must add i did get my food to go. I ordered the red beans and rice and it came with corn bread. I can say it was ok. I would try something else next time. This was a great lunch spot - loaded up on their etoufee and a 'dirty' roast beef po boy. food was great. counter service was fine and we didn't wait long for our orders. $50 for lunch for two seems steep - but then again so does everything these days.
