I was looking for lunch. I've passed the place on multiple occasions. Decided to make the stop. Not a lot of seating, recommend to go order. Jerk chicken, cabbage, plantains, rice and peas awesome. The greens on the other hand way way way to much salt. I'm a salt person if I say too much yeah, I believe it was possibly good but the salt overwhelmed the flavor.

Ox tail plate, he added a piece of jerk chicken to try both here bomb!

My gf was craving a beef patty and she found this place. As soon as we walked it we knew we had to try more the a beef patty. We also tried the oxtail plate. Let's start with the beef patty..... sooooooo daaammmnnn good! I have to say it was my first beef patty but my gf is from New York and she gave it the stamp of approval! The meat was so flavorful and the outside was flaky and soft all at the same time. I highly recommend. They also have a veggie option. The oxtail plate was so damn good! The oxtail was tender and season perfectly. I know how much oxtail cost at the store so I think you get a lot on this plate for the price. The portions are big so we were able to a share and be so full!! The cabbage had peppers in it as well as. Seriously so good! The plantains were on point! The rice and peas also sooo good! He gave us a piece of jerk chicken to try and I will be back for that as well!! Eating this food makes you feel like you're in someone house. The owner and chefs really puts love in this food! I highly recommend! I will be back!

Well I have been here 3 times this month! The food is authentic and flavors are explosive. It is one of the most legit spots in AZ. The location is difficult to find. There is no place to park but you can make your way around back to park behind the restaurant. It is a tight fit. I mean there is a Domino's next door. The area might appear a bit sketchy to some. The establishment just opened recently and the owner is a one man chef! He is gets DOWN in that kitchen. It is definitely worth a visit and I don't need to mention if I will be back!

One Love Cafe is an amazing new addition to our small business community here in phx! Not only is the food amazing, the owners and service is phenomenal! I was there last night for the fish fry and it was a big event One Love Cafe put on. Ambiance was perfect! Excited to tell everyone about this new gem!!!

The customer service was amaaaaazing, I didn't get his name but the worker was there alone & the food is made fresh to order! Waited close to an hour for 2 plates & I would do it again. The ambiance was great& I thoroughly enjoyed the music. The food itself is SO so good! Can't wait to visit again :)

Great custumer service. He was working all alone, and the curry goat wasn't ready, yet, but we only had to wait about 20 min for fresh curry goat. He was friendly and the food was fresh, delicious, filling, and 5 stars!

Cue a brief episode of delivery confusion, a few phone calls, and me standing there hungry but trying to keep my cool. Here's the important part, I didn't want a refund. I didn't want credits. I just wanted my food. And this place made sure I got it. Was there a slight delay? Yep. Did it require some chitchatting? Sure. But the care, patience, and follow-through were genuinely above and beyond... and that matters. And oh my GOODNESS, the food. The jerk chicken wings (spicy) were sweet, warm, bold, and fall-off-the-bone tender... beautifully seasoned and downright addictive. That jerk sauce had depth and balance that kept me going back for just one more wing until suddenly... no wings. The chicken curry? Maybe not the exact version I'm used to, but still absolutely delicious. Comforting, flavorful, and perfectly paired with peas and rice, festival on the side, and a Jamaican ginger beer that sealed the deal. This was my first substantial meal in my new home, and it honestly couldn't have been better. A million out of ten. A bazillion out of ten. I'll be ordering again, and next time I'm going in person. If you like Jamaican food, or even if you just like food made with care, do yourself a favor and try this place. Next time I'm not holding back: patties and cocoa bread are happening. Thank you for turning a potentially frustrating moment into a warm, delicious, unforgettable one.

What we didn't know was Sundays are limited menu but that was ok. We had already decided we had to try the Jerk Chicken and Mum's fried chicken which are part of Sundays menu. We were served in to-go boxes which I also believe is because of Sunday limited service. But that's ok because it did not change the fact that the food was outstanding! The jerk chicken was probably the best I've ever eaten. Huge flavors with a hint of spicy. I ordered it with the Caribbean slaw which was amazing (I'm a slaw snob). It is slightly sweet but really crunchy. Mum's fried chicken was delicious as well. Fresh and juicy. It came with steamed veggies which were, well, steamed veggies. I'm not knocking them but they are what they are. We washed everything down with a rum punch and a cucumber margarita. Both were tasty. The more I drank the rum punch, the more I liked it (coincidence? I think not). Both meals came with a small cup of sauce. I'm not sure what it was, but I am as sure it was really tasty. If you are looking for excellent Caribbean food this is the place. It's nothing fancy to look at but it does it right where it counts, that being the food!

I made reservations beforehand and I'm glad I did because it definitely gets busy. we had one of the best tables in the house outside on the patio right next to the live music. This was very conveniently located next to the science center, which we visited afterward. To start I love that you're able to shop their small boutique store while you wait for your table to be ready. The store had some great artisan skincare crafted locally and many clothing, jewelry and woven items that benefit an African tribe. Now on to the food & drinks. The drink menu features some familiar cocktails with an African flare. I opted for their lemonade and added a shot of vodka, it was so delicious and refreshing. The food truly tastes as good as it looks! We shared the hummus, it wasn't too overpowering in onion flavor and the bread was perfectly dense and fluffy. For my main entree I was the peri peri chicken. Everything on the plate was a 5/5 for me, all super flavorful & cooked to perfection. To top it all off they were so gracious to provide us with birthday and anniversary gifts and even a special shot for each of us of their mama Juana. This was some of the best hospitality I've experienced which was a cherry on top to the exceptional food and drinks. I will certainly be back soon!

A Hidden Gem Worth the Drive!…read more I had the most amazing chicken dinner at Caribbean Palms! The chicken was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, with just the right amount of spice. The rice was absolutely delicious, and the plantains were cooked to perfection. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding customer service. We interacted with three different staff members during our visit, and every single one was warm, welcoming, polite, and genuinely kind. You can tell they take pride in both their food and hospitality. I drove over 30 minutes from the other side of town to dine here, and it was worth every minute of the drive. There was a steady stream of customers picking up to-go orders, which speaks volumes about the quality of the food. While takeout is clearly popular, I highly recommend dining in and enjoying the full experience. The woman kept checking on me, and I actually liked that the cook brings out the food that's a nice personal touch you don't see everywhere. That said, the portions were underwhelming. I understand it leans more toward a dine-in experience, but the oxtail serving felt small. The presentation almost plays tricks on you it comes on a large plate with separate bowls for the sides, which makes it look like more than it actually is. On top of that, having to choose between cabbage or plantains felt a bit limiting for sides. The rice was a little dry and slightly hard for my taste, but I will say the plantains were really good sweet and done right. I couldn't help but compare it to another Caribbean spot I recently tried in Glendale, where the portions were generous and the oxtail was big, tender, and full of flavor. Here, the flavor was good, but it didn't stand out. I've definitely had better, so my expectations were a bit higher. Overall, it's not a bad spot it just feels pricey for what you get. I spent around $60 total: two cocktails at $15 each, plus the oxtail at market price (which can run $30-$40). The biggest plus is convenience it's close to home, so it's an easy option when I'm craving Jamaican food. But if I'm being honest... next time, I might still find myself making that drive back out to Glendale.
