This is a chill spot. Nice vibe. The chicken wings were amazing. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Good for groups and singles a like. There is street and garage parking nearby.

We stayed at the hotel here and had dinner here almost every night. Service was great and food options were all delicious! The restaurant is clean and had a great comfy atmosphere. Highly recommend. We regret not trying this spot during breakfast or lunch. Drinks were really well made and delicious. Prices were not bad for the amount of food we got.

Celebrated a friend's bday in downtown PHX a few weeks back and decided we start at Dust Cutter. The service was excellent and I can't rave enough about all the comfy and cozy seating options inside, loved it! We got a few apps, but the chips and queso were the crowd fav by far. On a scale of 1 - 10, I'd go back for sure, such a great spot!

After attending Urban Wine Walk, I was looking for a dinner spot before seeing Cirque du Soleil at PHX Arena. I hopped on the trusty Yelp app and found that Dust Cutter is close to the arena. I made my way over to this Western-themed bar and restaurant inside the Rennaisance Hotel for an early dinner on a Saturday. Service (3/5): I sat at the bar in hopes of quicker service as I was in a time crunch. The bartender was slow bringing me my menu so I took matters in my own hands and grabbed one from down the bar. Overall, the bartender was okay. I had to grab her attention to close out and she didn't check on me but once I got her attention, she took care of things. She also changed the TV channel on the TV closes to me so I could watch the Final Four game which I appreciated. Ambiance (4/5): Pretty cool hotel bar. Like most hotel bars, there's a good amount of seating at some bar and some tables that surround it with comfortable seating. They also have outlets underneath the bar which is a nice touch. Elegant with some Western flair. Drinks (4/5): Dust Cutter has a nice selection of craft cocktails so that's what I went with. I went with their namesake, the Dust Cutter cocktail which was an interesting concoction of flavors. Solid drink, can't complain. Food (4/5): For my dinner, i went with the Outlaw sandwich and I'm glad I did. Think of a hefty fried chicken patty with coleslaw and sauce stuck in between two large slices of Texas toast. It's a beast of a sandwich and one which was almost too big for me to bite. Eventually the sandwich fell apart and things started getting messy so I had to use a fork and knife. First world problems. That doesn't take away from the deliciousness of this sammy. The hot chicken sandwich was fried well and the coleslaw gave some nice crunch to the experience. The Texas toast was nicely buttered on the grill. I would return for this sandwich alone. If you're looking for some good drinks and better than expected food at a hotel bar, check out Dust Cutter. The aforementioned sandwich is a winner and it's one of the more affordable items on the menu. Win-win.

Stopped in here after work one day for a drink with coworkers... The vibe is definitely lively and energetic! The menu looked good and the food coming out looked really good! I tried their Dust Cutter cocktail and it was pretty good. The décor is really nice, sort of a dessert theme. Definitely would come back!

Definitely a unique restaurant of the focus on a mix exotic cocktails, and pretty good food. The atmosphere is nice with an options to sit in indoors with an outdoor view.I tried several different cocktails out of my normal comfort zone, like the coffin varnish. Service was kind of spotty. I'm not sure if they were going through a shift change or what but it did take a while for the service to get going. But our server was good and professional and got things rolling. I ordered the burger which was excellent but the fries were freezing cold so I'm not sure if they were just done early and sitting or the heat lamp is broke in the kitchen but that's my only gripe for the night. Finished off with the cast iron buttermilk cake with peaches and vanilla ice cream, which was excellent as well. Overall, worth a stop if you're in Phoenix and staying at the Renaissance hotel, which it is attached too.

Andrew and Harrison are awesome bartenders! I went last night to watch the Yankees clinch the ALCS division. Happy hour daily from 3 to 6. $7 glasses of wine. 50% off select apps. I had the haboob fries with brisket, so damn good. Cool vibes for a hotel restaurant. Met some interesting characters while watching the game.

We checked into our room and wanted a bite to eat. We were tired from traveling and decided to use our credit at dust cutter. The vibe is very chill. It's dimly lit but they have a few tvs to watch. It gives an upscale cozy bar. They wait staff are all pretty nice. We both ordered the burger. I added bacon and avocado. The flavors were really good and meshed well. The only critique I had is the bread was a little too dry to me. Other than that it was great!

I stopped by Dust Cutter while in town last month for QuiltCon and joined my local quilt guild for a meet-up in the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel. The space had a fun, modern Western vibe which was of course perfect for a casual yet lively gathering. I ordered two mocktails from the bar, both of which were sweet, refreshing, and delicious. For a bite to eat, my friend and I went with the bacon-wrapped dates and they did not disappoint! Our server was attentive, making sure our group had everything we needed. I wish I could have stayed longer to explore more of the menu and soak in the atmosphere, but alas, there's always next time. I'll hopefully be back!

    Old Fashioned with Uncle Nearest
    Joe S.

The staff here was pretty good with one of the managers and the waitress just rocking it. Super friendly and welcoming which I appreciated. The drinks were good. The old fashioned was made with Uncle Nearest 1856 (I think) and was one of the better ones I've had. I also had a gin and tonic (good), Moscow mule (meh), and prickly-pear margarita (flavorless) as part of my late afternoon activities. Some co-workers ordered food and enjoyed it all. They mostly ordered salads and I didn't partake, but they were big and fresh. I don't know if I would go out of my way to go here if I wasn't staying at the Renaissance hotel. But it does the job much better than most hotel bars.

If it's your first visit, the AZ Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich is an absolute must. It's perfectly crispy with just the right amount of heat and packed with flavor in every bite. One of my favorite traditions is stopping by after work on Thursdays to take advantage of the $5 IPA special. It's the perfect way to unwind, catch up with friends, and enjoy some of Arizona's finest locally crafted beer. Whether you're there for the food, the beer, or the lively patio atmosphere, Arizona Wilderness never disappoints. If you're in the neighborhood--or even if you're not--it's well worth the visit. Made the long drive from Gilbert to see what the hype was about and let me say....that soft serve was WORTH IT! I got the swirl and it was soooooo refreshing and delicious. I have seen people comment that they were too strong (I don't see the problem or maybe some people don't really like tequila) but mine was perfect! Not strong at all. The only reason I didn't give this updated review a 5-I ordered the banh mi sando and the sandwich was so dry. Chicken was dry. The cilantro wasn't chopped I had to pick out long stems. Also I got the AZ frosè and the rosemary syrup was just way too pungent to enjoy the whole beverage. I wished it had been more balanced. Especially when the French fries are heavily seasoned with rosemary--a bit too much.

I'm absolutely OBSESSED with this place!…read more We went here to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday, and it did not disappoint! I've never been to a bar/speakeasy that was so immersive from start to finish! The vibe was very 70s flight , funky, fun, and totally unique. They give you a boarding pass and a pin, and the flight we were on was from New York to Tokyo! You get a welcome drink with your ticket, along with some peanuts, which was such a nice touch. The welcome drink was light and refreshing, and the peanuts had a nice salty and spicy kick. The service was prompt and attentive, and the flight attendants had some great recommendations. You even experience turbulence during the experience, which really adds to the immersion. You honestly feel like you're on an actual plane! The drinks are themed around New York and Tokyo, so there's a nice variety to choose from. Overall, this was such a fun and unique experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun way to grab drinks with friends or even for a date!

Lets cover how you get there... as tickets & seats are limited release, Monday mornings at 10am AZ time, for the following Friday to Thursday only. Midweek tickets are available for seating & buying drinks only so spur of the moment bookings. But seriously recommend the Captain's table seats (which you can read below) 1) sign up for Sunday email blasts of the booking link (didnt work in my experience, but read on) 2) either get email link or wait for Monday 10am & next week of tickets (should) be released). Now in my first experience, neither the Sunday email or Monday morning release happened, maybe because they had plenty of tickets left for the midweek? Not an issue previously Yelped about so thought I'd add their customer service was absolutely wonderful & responsive to send the ticket link & helpful with allergies & setting up a birthday surprise. The ticket options are the following. $25 to get in, sit & buy cocktails & watch the other +-18 people get free cocktails & absolutely wonderful 4 plate small bites. As you can see from all the pics the food is fantastic & themed for the trip. The Captain's table tickets either come in 2 pack or 4 pack (seater tables) & well worth the experience. Now the website has a lot of info to read, one of the things it lists is a 20% "service charge" & that gratuity isn't included. Dont be concerned with this, ill mention it at the end. My advice to the management is to reword this sentence or it could be very misleading & a put off in this day & age as now I'm thinking i need to add 30-40% to the bill for service charge & gratuity... & believe me all the staff worked hard & are well deserving. About 5-10 mins before take off, head to the welcome desk at the Wren & Wolf, pick up your boarding passes & walk outside about 30 seconds around the corner to stand in line. Previous review talked about long waiting, didnt experience that as our doors opened bang on time & one of the Captain's checked out ID & boarding passes. We moved through a rather small beautifully decorated check in counter with period 70s time zone clock & boarded, to be shown our table. The interior is extremely comfortable, other than the 3x 4 seater Captain's tables, the rest was wrap around bench sofas & 70s low swivel soft chairs. As your eyes adjust to the dim lighting, the interior is all 70s wood, at one end is a full sized bar decorated with some chrome & lots of unique matching 70s style cocktail shakers. After the doors close, the stewardesses, dressed in 70s style single piece uniforms, run through a quick preflight take on the safety talk, while you sip on a welcome complimentary cocktail & nuts. Whilst at this point, our stewardess brings us our first course of absolutely delicious, mini NY style bagel, lox, lashings of cream cheese & topped with caviar; all whilst explaining we get 2 cocktail choices each included with our price. The announcement is made to depart, a rumble is felt below your feet & the LED screens (which you've not noticed all over, looking like large airplane windows) light up & the curtains are raised to reveal the Carry On terminal.... we taxi as the LED windows display a HD video of take off, all synchronised to the various angles & sides of the plane, meaning each window has a unique & different perspective of the take off. Our theme night was NY to Tokyo, so we took off, flew over Manhattan with the Twin Towers & carried on into the clouds. The whole time these windows are their own entertainment, finally circling Japan & landing. Next, 2 Japanese pot stickers with King Crab. Empty plates are swiftly cleared & its not long until our next course Next up, Japanese Waygu skewers eated around a shitso leaf. Then finally one of the best NY cheesecakes I've had, using crushed up Heath bars. Cocktail menu is large, all kinds of unusual selections & half way through the trip, the Captain announces, Its Martini time & the Martini cart is rolled out to all. After we thought we were done, my wife is presented with a beautiful Happy Birthday Cocktail & signed napkin. We'll if my wife is having a 4th drink, so must I. I was advised this would be at my own cost, which is nice to remind folks, but even looking at their alacarte menu, prices were extremely reasonable.. & we've just had 7 cocktails between us included. As the plane comes to land, you feel the landing gear extending & the bill is handed out. Tere is where you pay the taxes & service charge, but the bill lists "gratuity" & believe me, everyone & the experience deserves 20% here. Theres a chance to add a very small additional 3-7%, for me 7% was $6 & yes the entire experience & service, including making my wife feel special on her birthday was amazing.

What an unexpectedly fun night!…read more I honestly had no idea what I was walking into when a friend told me I had to check out Bikini Lounge because they know I'm drawn to all things eclectic. They were absolutely right. From the moment the friendly bouncer smiled and said, "Step right on in," I was hooked. Yoooow!! The first DJ was incredible. He was spinning all kinds of trip-hop, indie, electronic, and remix-style tracks that had everybody partyin'. It wasn't your typical dance music, but every song seemed to connect with somebody in the room. The crowd was incredibly diverse, and it was so much fun watching people of every age and style dancing and nobody cared. The second DJ, a younger woman, shifted the vibe a bit and leaned more toward a younger crowd. It wasn't quite my style, so I took that opportunity to grab a seat at the bar and do what I apparently do best... chat with complete strangers. I'm a talker, and thankfully they seemed just as happy to strike up a conversation. This isn't some fancy cocktail lounge, and that's exactly the point. It's authentic. There were people dancing at the bar, grooving in their booths, bouncing in their seats, and filling the dance floor with great energy. I came by myself, and within minutes a cool group of strangers invited me to squeeze into their booth like we'd all come together. That's the kind of place this is. At one point they even offered me a glass of beer from their pitcher. I politely declined (look at me making responsible life choices... sometimes), but then I realized almost everyone had pitchers! So I sauntered over to the bar. I did have to wait a bit; apparently chivalry doesn't extend to letting a woman cut the line, but once I reached the bartender, the service was fast and friendly. Every trip back to the bar was the same. No complaints there. As the night went on, the energy just kept building. Before I knew it, I was on the dance floor sweating, smiling, and dancing with complete strangers. After a while, I had to retreat to the patio just to catch my breath before heading back in for more. My ankles are still sore... and the glutes? Fuhgetabouttit! The best part of the night wasn't the music or even the drinks. It was the people. Every generation was represented. Every fashion style imaginable. Every personality. And somehow it all worked. There was this genuine sense of joy and community that you just don't find everywhere. If you're looking for polished and upscale, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want great music, a welcoming crowd, zero pretension, and one of those nights where you leave happier than you arrived... give Bikini Lounge a shot. I went in not knowing what to expect. I left wondering why I'd waited so long to go.
