This is a chill spot. Nice vibe. The chicken wings were amazing. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Good for groups and singles a like. There is street and garage parking nearby.

Celebrated a friend's bday in downtown PHX a few weeks back and decided we start at Dust Cutter. The service was excellent and I can't rave enough about all the comfy and cozy seating options inside, loved it! We got a few apps, but the chips and queso were the crowd fav by far. On a scale of 1 - 10, I'd go back for sure, such a great spot!

After attending Urban Wine Walk, I was looking for a dinner spot before seeing Cirque du Soleil at PHX Arena. I hopped on the trusty Yelp app and found that Dust Cutter is close to the arena. I made my way over to this Western-themed bar and restaurant inside the Rennaisance Hotel for an early dinner on a Saturday. Service (3/5): I sat at the bar in hopes of quicker service as I was in a time crunch. The bartender was slow bringing me my menu so I took matters in my own hands and grabbed one from down the bar. Overall, the bartender was okay. I had to grab her attention to close out and she didn't check on me but once I got her attention, she took care of things. She also changed the TV channel on the TV closes to me so I could watch the Final Four game which I appreciated. Ambiance (4/5): Pretty cool hotel bar. Like most hotel bars, there's a good amount of seating at some bar and some tables that surround it with comfortable seating. They also have outlets underneath the bar which is a nice touch. Elegant with some Western flair. Drinks (4/5): Dust Cutter has a nice selection of craft cocktails so that's what I went with. I went with their namesake, the Dust Cutter cocktail which was an interesting concoction of flavors. Solid drink, can't complain. Food (4/5): For my dinner, i went with the Outlaw sandwich and I'm glad I did. Think of a hefty fried chicken patty with coleslaw and sauce stuck in between two large slices of Texas toast. It's a beast of a sandwich and one which was almost too big for me to bite. Eventually the sandwich fell apart and things started getting messy so I had to use a fork and knife. First world problems. That doesn't take away from the deliciousness of this sammy. The hot chicken sandwich was fried well and the coleslaw gave some nice crunch to the experience. The Texas toast was nicely buttered on the grill. I would return for this sandwich alone. If you're looking for some good drinks and better than expected food at a hotel bar, check out Dust Cutter. The aforementioned sandwich is a winner and it's one of the more affordable items on the menu. Win-win.

Great presentation ..... delicious grilled cheese downed with Tomato Bisque. Service was very good ....... The Hummus/ veggie plate was very appealing as well but my coworker enjoyed that one ..... my only complaint would be the barstools need a higher back

Stopped in here after work one day for a drink with coworkers... The vibe is definitely lively and energetic! The menu looked good and the food coming out looked really good! I tried their Dust Cutter cocktail and it was pretty good. The décor is really nice, sort of a dessert theme. Definitely would come back!

Definitely a unique restaurant of the focus on a mix exotic cocktails, and pretty good food. The atmosphere is nice with an options to sit in indoors with an outdoor view.I tried several different cocktails out of my normal comfort zone, like the coffin varnish. Service was kind of spotty. I'm not sure if they were going through a shift change or what but it did take a while for the service to get going. But our server was good and professional and got things rolling. I ordered the burger which was excellent but the fries were freezing cold so I'm not sure if they were just done early and sitting or the heat lamp is broke in the kitchen but that's my only gripe for the night. Finished off with the cast iron buttermilk cake with peaches and vanilla ice cream, which was excellent as well. Overall, worth a stop if you're in Phoenix and staying at the Renaissance hotel, which it is attached too.

Let's go, Yankees!!! Happy hour daily from 3 to 6.

Andrew and Harrison are awesome bartenders! I went last night to watch the Yankees clinch the ALCS division. Happy hour daily from 3 to 6. $7 glasses of wine. 50% off select apps. I had the haboob fries with brisket, so damn good. Cool vibes for a hotel restaurant. Met some interesting characters while watching the game.

We checked into our room and wanted a bite to eat. We were tired from traveling and decided to use our credit at dust cutter. The vibe is very chill. It's dimly lit but they have a few tvs to watch. It gives an upscale cozy bar. They wait staff are all pretty nice. We both ordered the burger. I added bacon and avocado. The flavors were really good and meshed well. The only critique I had is the bread was a little too dry to me. Other than that it was great!

We LOVED this bar! The service, drinks and menu were fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious. We also loved the live music and overall decor and vibe. We will be back because we want to try other items on the menu!

Bacon Wrapped Dates - Dust Cutter - Phoenix, Arizona

I stopped by Dust Cutter while in town last month for QuiltCon and joined my local quilt guild for a meet-up in the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel. The space had a fun, modern Western vibe which was of course perfect for a casual yet lively gathering. I ordered two mocktails from the bar, both of which were sweet, refreshing, and delicious. For a bite to eat, my friend and I went with the bacon-wrapped dates and they did not disappoint! Our server was attentive, making sure our group had everything we needed. I wish I could have stayed longer to explore more of the menu and soak in the atmosphere, but alas, there's always next time. I'll hopefully be back!

After a long day at work I wanted to head down to the hotel restaurant for a hearty salad. I ordered the beet + feta salad with chicken (full not the side) to go. This salad is $17 and an additional $8 for chicken. I was incredibly disappointed to open this box with hardly any lettuce. The menu says kale and spinach-- I got a minimal amount of arugula and spinach instead. Chicken breast was given on the side. Paying almost $30 for a salad I expected more greens. The salad flavors and service at the bar were wonderful and but this portion is crazy to me. Had a coworker order a side salad with her meal which was much larger than mine. Might have been an honest mistake but meal was disappointing. Giving 2 stars solely for the service of the kind bartender.

    Old Fashioned with Uncle Nearest
    Joe S.

The staff here was pretty good with one of the managers and the waitress just rocking it. Super friendly and welcoming which I appreciated. The drinks were good. The old fashioned was made with Uncle Nearest 1856 (I think) and was one of the better ones I've had. I also had a gin and tonic (good), Moscow mule (meh), and prickly-pear margarita (flavorless) as part of my late afternoon activities. Some co-workers ordered food and enjoyed it all. They mostly ordered salads and I didn't partake, but they were big and fresh. I don't know if I would go out of my way to go here if I wasn't staying at the Renaissance hotel. But it does the job much better than most hotel bars.

    Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
    Erica S.

Such a cool place! I didn't realize it was going to be in the lobby of the Renaissance hotel, but it had a nice vibe and a good happy hour. All draft beers are $6 during happy hour and select appetizers are half off. We got the street fries and bacon wrapped dates to start and both were amazing. I do wish that there were more dates than 5 in an order for what they charge, but they were scrumptious. We also got the duck duck goat enchiladas which were also very good, and my grilled cheese and tomato soup was quite nice too. The pesto in it was just all right. I feel like it was missing something though. Service was wonderful and fairly quick even with how busy it was. If I'm in the area, I'd probably stop by again.

My husband i stayed here for two nights as a staycation for his birthday and we needed it to reset and recharge. we've visited this property in the past and they are always so helpful and it's easy to get around, albeit the hilly parking might make those prone to anxiety a little wary. but overall, this was a great time away from our home. The reason i'm updating my review to three stars is because there is absolutely no enforcement of the 21+ rule at the adult pool. While taking a night swim on our last night, we witnessed two teenagers openly fighting and throwing f bombs at a guest who was trying to ask them to not leave their little sister alone in the pool while they cared more about their stupid tik tok dance. Parents and staff absolutely nowhere to be seen. This happened at 8:30 pm and the guest managed to hold his own against two spoiled brats. Please, Hilton, in order for your adult guests to try and have some peace and quiet away from spoiled brats, ENFORCE THE AGE LIMIT AT THE ADULT POOLS.
