They are currently open Wednesday - Sunday but definitely worth the wait. There was a gent named Stacy and the back accompanied by one of his colleagues and they were both very hospitable. Stacy even offered to let me try his jerk chicken that's not yet on the menu but it should be . I definitely ate with my eyes as I ordered Catfish, fried chicken, ribs, black eyed peas, candied yams, and the surprise add of the jerk chicken. Everything was finger licking good. I ordered delivery from them last night I wanted a few sides for a dinner I was having as I had to work late I ordered all side in 16oz but when delivery came it was just individual not enough for what I ordered so I called and they were so rude the cook told me basically they weren't going to fix the error and to top it all off the collard greens were burnt and they tried to add sugar to hide it there was way too much mustard in the potato salad and the candied yams were horrible this is the last time I will try and support this restaurant they don't care about the customer or the food they put out a d the cook there is very rude . This place can be missed with the blink of an eye. It sets next to a car repair place and a small apt complex. Just wanted to try something. I decided on a 1/2 pound of Rib tips! They are one of my favorites if done right! The tips were good. Only thing I can say is I did ask the young man at the counter if they came with sauce already on them he said No! I visited this place a few days ago for lunch. I've passed by it a few times and seen that they had good reviews. I was in the area, and decided to give them a try. I reminded me of when I would dine-out with my grandparents. So, it was a very homey feel. The TV was also on, I think Law & Order was showing (something my grannie always watched lol). But, my meal didn't take too long to make. There were 3 people ahead of me; it took maybe about 15-mins to get my food. The man that was taking the orders also served me my order. I am done with Stacy's.They screwed me over twice years ago. I gave them one more chance.They did it a third time. The first time they didn't give me the chicken breast that I had ordered. I went a second time and told them about the first time and they said they would give me an extra to make up for it. When I got home I realized that they had charged me for that extra one. Drove an hour to get to this place through rush hour traffic. That's how much I love southern cooking. It's a very basic hole in the wall kind of place, exactly what I look for in a good soul food spot. Appears to be a one man operation, you walk up to the window and place your order, he goes back and prepares it, then brings it to you. Didn't have too long of a wait, even though there were several other groups of people. I had the gizzard dinner with rice and gravy, and collard greens. My wife had catfish with yams and collard greens. The gizzards were delicious, with a light coating of flour, seasoned well. A slightly bigger portion would have been nice. Catfish was good, with typical cornmeal breading. As for the sides, the rice and gravy was very good, and the yams were tasty. Only thing that wasn't good was the collard greens. You have to use young greens or they become very bitter, and these were VERY bitter. Could have used some bacon in there to give them depth, too. All in all good food and a reasonable price. We will definitely go back and try some of the other offerings available. Probably skip the collard greens though. read more

Finally got around to trying this place. Of course I got the gizzards, 3 wings, fried okra, red beans and rice. Bride got a fried chicken breast. Wife really liked her chicken breast commenting on how crispy it was while the meat was super moist. For my food, the gizzards were okay and the wings very good. The gizzards didn't have the seasoned coating as thick as the wings so, they lacked that nice flavor. Both the fried okra, rice & beans, were okay. I liked the hot sauce as well - nice bite without too much heat. The cornbread was very good, but I would have liked it served with butter. Last thing, the old soul music others enjoyed listening to in their reviews was replaced by way too loud hip rap by the elementary age child taking orders (came out to make some song selections a couple times). Music that drops f-bombs and uses the 'N' word every couple seconds is not appropriate for a public restaurant.
