Blue moon Cafe is located near the harbor in Baltimore. They don't do reservations so be prepared to wait it out on the weekends. We went around 10am on a Sunday and waited about two hours. There are some cute neighborhood taverns nearby so that helps to pass the time. Once we were called the cafe is cozy and small about 10 tables max. We started with the cinnamon roll which was delicious and different. Soft in the middle but the outer edges were more like a crispy biscuit. I ordered the fiesta scramble and it was flavorful. Absolutely delicious and filling! Side note they don't serve alcohol so if you're expecting a boozy brunch it won't be here. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend-- worth the hype!

Sweet baby Jesus! This was the name of one of the best darn breakfasts I will ever have in my life. I walked in and this place already screamed Sam vibes. Old time house, small and cozy with a few tables. There are regulars there, and you can tell they feel even more like home than their actual home. After doing some research, I heard they had two items that have their own page in their menu, one of them being the Sweet Baby Jesus. This has shredded crispy hash browns, eggs (in my case scrambled), lump crab meat, all covered in a nice hollandaise sauce. I got a side of cheese grits, added some hot sauce and each bite was perfect. Finally the staff, the woman running the join knew how to handle her biz and had me laughing the whole time. She was loud and welcoming which is music to my ears. My server was, kind and nice and more on the quiet side but just as welcoming and happy to help with anything. Now I know my regular spot every time I go back to Baltimore. Thanks Blue Moon, for not just being a Food Network TV flub, and being more of a TV star!

Blue Moon Café is a whole vibe! Super entertaining, the people are hilarious, and the energy in this family-owned spot is straight up lit. It's small, but it feels alive the second you walk in. The servings are HUGE, and everything I had was GOOD. I had the red velvet pancakes, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and hash browns. Let me tell you--those pancakes are massive. I couldn't even finish the two they gave me. I'm definitely coming back to try more of the menu. I sat at the bar--which is only a two-seater--so I got lucky since I came solo. But here's the truth: if you plan on coming here, get here EARLY. If not, you'll be outside waiting until your name gets called. I got there at 9:30am and eight people were already in line. They open at 7:30am, so again... pull up early. I 100% recommend this place. The food is awesome, the vibe is unmatched, and it's a must if you want breakfast in Baltimore. I'll absolutely be back.

Recently stopped by Blue Moon Cafe while I was back in Baltimore. Blue Moon Cafe is not just one the Best of Baltimore experiences, it is simply one of the best breakfast/brunch experiences you can have. I think I'd have to reference a couple of places in Savannah to even come close. First, the service is always amazing. The crew works in tandem with each other. They come to your table with water, ready to serve whatever else you may need. The interior is full of art, just a touch of goth, and truly celebrates the Baltimore art scene. The breakfast standards here are impeccable. Some of the best coffee, omelettes and hash browns you will have. The greatest art you may take in here are their sweet creations. Captain Crunch French toast, their pumpkin pancakes were outstanding, I could go on and on. They do everything well. This is a must-do in Baltimore. I highly suggest you give them a try.

Incredible decor and moody ambience welcome you into one of the best breakfast places I've ever been too. Fresh food, friendly service and stellar portions of delicious food. My Eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection with plentiful lump crab and deliciously layered spinach and tomato. The fresh fruit is a worthy $3 upgrade with some of the freshest strawberries and blackberries I've ever had, and I live in Florida full time! The Sin Roll was also INCREDIBLE. This is a true cinnamon roll, with the spice throughout, and not just a sweet roll with a hint of the cinnamon. Absolutely a must eat here as well! The coffee was hot, fresh and strong too. I will absolutely be back for seconds!

    Cute funky place

This is a fun funky spot for breakfast with macabre decor in a historical building. It's very small but service is quick and courteous. The boisterous waitress suggests loudly to EVERY patron that they should order "sweet baby Jesus" or "capn crunch French toast", both of which were supposedly featured in the food network. She was a little too loud. I did take her advice and got the "sweet baby Jesus" breakfast. It included lump crab and came at a high price, $30. My date got the cinnamon roll French toast with eggs and bacon. The cinnamon roll was delicious!! Recommend. First I will say both were delicious and there was alot of food. However there were so many flavors competing in the "sweet baby Jesus" and it covered the delicate flavor of crab, which was scant to be honest. The drawback for me was the price. There was very little crab in this dish and so not merit anywhere near $30. Next after we had already paid I saw a sign saying 20% gratuity was automatically added to checks over $50. Since we had already paid and included another 20%, they received greater than 40% tip! Yes, we should have looked more closely at the check, that's on us. Final decision, very good food, but very expensive food. Watch your checks for added fees!

Wowie!!! I stopped here on a busy Sunday morning and got my name on the list. I imagine it was quite a wait, but as a solo diner, I didn't have to wait long to be seated at the bar (only three stools). The staff was an absolute blast and having fun while also being friendly. I ordered the Cap'n Crunch French toast. Holy moly. It was SOOOOOOOOO good!! And it's didn't tear up the top of my mouth, like regular Cap'n Crunch. It was really so tasty; I won't forget it anytime soon. Overall, it was a great experience. The space isn't very big, so I'm not sure about accommodating larger parties, especially with what a hot spot it appears to be. Regardless, enjoy!

This is a tasty "hole in the wall" type of spot that a friend recommended for me and my grandmother to visit. The establishment itself is not very "user friendly" especially if you're with someone who has mobility challenges, which my grandmother does, so I would keep that in mind if you plan to visit. Outside of that though, we really enjoyed our time! The vibe is very coffee shop-esque , and there isn't a lot of room to work around; however, we really enjoyed ourselves (she and I talk up a storm)! The food was okay--I ordered the Sweet Baby Jesus which is a hash-based dish with crab meat. The hash brown was a bit greasy which made the overall dish taste a bit off, and the overall dish wasn't very seasoned which was disappointing. My grandmother had the traditional Blue Moon Breakfast plate which she enjoyed. The staff was very friendly, and the varied options they have on the menu definitely made me want to come back and give them another try. I would recommend coming early (we arrived around 9-ish on a Friday) as apparently they can become quite busy, as by the time we were leaving they developed a bit of a line outside. Overall, I enjoyed myself and though my dish was subpar, I would definitely give them another try.

Worth the wait (and you WILL wait - no reservations here). You walk up, you write your name and party size on a note pad, and you patiently wait for an open table inside this quirky boutique sized hidden gem. If you came for the sweet baby Jesus, you won't be disappointed. You also won't eat for the rest of the day unless your stomach is a bottomless pit. The servings are plentiful as are the personalities of the wait staff. They're famous for a reason. Get there! I'd love if they had a crispier bacon - my only critique. You're kinda bullied (in a good way) to get the cinnamon roll. It was fluffy but also try, and not too sweet. Not sure I'd order it again but they're made from scratch daily and you can taste the love.

Blue Moon Cafe is a cozy gem with street parking and reasonable prices--perfect for breakfast or brunch! Favorites: Sin Roll, Cap'n Crunch French Toast, and especially Sweet Baby Jesus, loaded with lump crab . Service is 10/10 every time. Delicious food, charming spot--highly recommend!

Wow this food was flavorful and filling! Me and my friends were sat quickly because we visited later in the afternoon on a Thursday. The service was fast and the servers were friendly/informatice. We each decided to order one entree plus the French toast to share. I really enjoyed the crab omelette but it could have used just a bit more salt. I appreciate they were trying to keep the integrity of the crab flavor but a dash of salt would've set it off. The French toast was a bit dense but the flavor was great and the quesadilla was perfectly cooked. I didn't try the burger but my friend ate every last bite. It was a chill vibe and comfortable atmosphere. We enjoyed our visit and I would return again. One of my friends had been there several times already which speaks to the quality of the food. I'll be back for sure.

We absolutely love Blue Moon & Blue Moon Too, and make sure we go at least a couple of visits a year when we are in town. Today was definitely our lucky day. When we arrived, they said the wait was 45 minutes, but we were seated in about 10 minutes!!! Max was our main server and she was awesome!! We knew what we wanted as soon as we sat down because we always order the same thing, The Sweet Baby Jesus & the Captain Crunch French Toast!! They literally have every nook and cranny filled with tables because it gets that busy. We were nestled at a table for two at the window and it was perfect. Despite how busy they were, the service was great and the food came out pretty quick. As always every bite was delicious and it's worth every penny. You can't get that amount of lump crab meat anywhere else! The flavor profile of each dish is a perfect 10. If you've never been, it's a must have in Baltimore. You just have to be willing to sit in close quarters of other diners. If you're claustrophobic, the Blue Moon Too location is a bit more spread out.

This was my second time here and it is such a great breakfast spot. The staff are fun and friendly. We came around 9am on a Saturday and by 9:30am, there were quite a few folks standing around waiting for a table. So glad we came when we did and were able to dine immediately. For food, we shared the Sweet Baby Jesus and Sin Roll French Toast. The Sweet Baby Jesus had a good amount of crab meat and the French toast wasn't overly sweet. It was a good pair off between the savory and sweet dish - both were great! This is a fun and casual breakfast spot. Just get there early enough to avoid waiting!

The rest of the menu is American stuff. I've as of now tried both of these and very content with the taste and filling of these two, the price is reasonable per the portion and yummyness($12.49) plus tax about $13.25. The only thing I would change a bit is making sure that the juice from the bulgogi doesn't soak the bread too much cuz then it's mushy. I like a crunchy texture to my subs, but the may be just my preference. Both the son and the mom are super nice, if you become a regular it's very nice to have people know what you want right away. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. I hope that they can incorporate more korean food to their menu, at least 2 more that have a different protein so we have a bit more variety. Though I understand why the options for kfood are limited given the area's population. Things to keep in mind: - When you order let them know if you want it to go or to eat there. Nobody can read minds, but they will do their best to ask you prior to packaging to confirm. - It can get busy so sometimes transaction may take longer because people are multitasking. - - - Don't rip out the receipt, you might be taking the wrong copy. Wait for the cashier to hand it to you or simply ask. -If you have questions about a product, ask them and don't assume. Yes. There is a big menu and pamphlets available and they provide brief item description but if that's not clear, just ask. They also have prepackaged salads, fruit and a few sweet treats, along with MissVickies chips, and bottle drinks. It's a cafe so the basics. Overall, really nice experience. Tots recommended :3

Here is something I literally have never experienced anywhere else: My sister has a couple of food allergies and she gave the waitress a piece of paper where she listed out what she can and cannot have.
