I ordered estimate for damage on my pool equipment, for insurance company. They told me it will be $150 and send me "expert" for estimate. Expert told me my estimate will be ready and emailed to me Friday or Monday on end of May. Nothing happened, expert didn't answer his phone calls, so I used other company for estimate. But what blue lagoon didn't forget is piled me $162.32 for nothing. She I called them they ended phone call. I hope nobody will use them, and nobody will pay them for nothing. read more

Consistent irregularity in service and quality of service. Techs did fine if they knew someone was home, but if they thought noone was there they did a haphazard job. For instance, the most recent time they came out, they stated that they had vacuumed the pool, and upon examination it had NOT been done. And the woman, Tina ,on the phone actually argued with me and treated me like I could not tell the difference of if it was vacuumed or not. Additionally, there were extreme inconsistencies with them not coming out on the scheduled days (Friday). They would show up on Saturday, without ever having contacted us first to let us know they would not be out as cheduled They were condescending and rude on the phone, and took it upon themselves to cancel our account. They also boast on their front page that they are BBB Accredited. THEY ARE NOT, according to the Dallas Better Business Bureau. read more

I wish I would have read some of these reviews before using them. I paid almost $700 for a new pool timer replacement and later saw that the invoice only said Service Replaced timer but there was no information about the product, I mentioned to our pool cleaner it had to be replaced and what it cost, he said you might want to look into it, it looks like the same unit, rust and all still on it, make sure you weren't taken. I have cameras in my back yard and drive way so I viewed the tapes and the man was there for 32 minutes, I saw him take tools back but never a part, not saying he didn't since at time the view is not direct but all I did was explain to Blue Lagoons I would like a detailed invoice including model and serial number. I received back a screen shot of the cost chart. I replied again and said I was looking for model and serial number, In the past small parts from reputable companies will leave the old or ask you if you want them to take it away. I was shocked by his email back which was basically a tirade and scolding me for being a customer asking for anything. Here is what I got back, word for word. By the way I never said anything about Amazon but the defensiveness from someone in a customer service business was unbelievable. Sorry I was a customer, I won't let that happen again. Reply from Jason: No our invoices don't include any serial numbers or model numbers because any parts that come with warranty we register those items with the manufacturer for our customers so they don't have to. But we can get you the model number. Also we never ever leave old parts on the job site, most customers see them as trash and want them removed so the only time we leave them on site is if a customer requests. You mentioned your current cleaning company saying "you had been taken" from us, we didn't make you get these parts replaced with us and you where informed before hand of the costs of the job. If you current weekly service company is so knowledgable and less expensive then us then when didn't you just have them do the repair for you, again we didn't make anyone do anything they didn't want to do and I REALLY don't appreciate anyone talking ill of our company...this alone shows the character of your weekly pool technician. Also you told us you had a problem with a possible warranty issue and rather than getting you in contact with the manufacturer for a service call (which normally takes 2 weeks) we went ahead a scheduled you on the spot for free to see if we could get that back up and running for you. That alone is something no other pool company in the DFW could have or would have done for you. Just a little food for thought. We'll get the information over you requested when we have access to it, but your timer clock has already been registered for you. Also those parts are not under $200.00 from our supplies this alone shows the lack of knowledge your pool tech retains about product in the swimming pool industry. (If they are looking on Amazon those aren't the same parts and the manufactures won't actually even warranty any part purchased on Amazon or online by any 3rd party) read more

These guys s are terrible.They must hire ex cons or something. They come to our home and lie lie lie. They claim to Clean our salt filter andI have them on camera talking on their cell phones every time they show up, loose our filters and when they leave our pool is still green. Furthermore their back office are the rudest people in the world and the only way they communicate is by text message if that. Stay very clear of this weak unprofessional group of liars. read more

Amazing people to work with in every way. Their knowledge and expertise was tremendous. I had ground heaving raising part of my deck and since we were interested in adding features to our pool they were able to do it all, plumbing, electric, concrete work and sprinkler system. They were on top of the work being done and kept us informed every step of the way. Simply outstanding. The original Pool installer just kept avoiding us when asked to do the repair. I recently had my pool remodeled and before I even considered having it done I did extensive research on pool companies in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and The Blue Lagoons turned out to the #1 pool company. So I reached out to friends who have pools and gathered their thoughts on who I should use for this and again, The Blue Lagoons came up. I gave the company a call, I spoke with the Office Manager(Cyril) who was very professional and polite. I went over everything that I was wanting to have done on my pool with Cyril and he informed me that Jason the owner of the company would be getting in touch with me for my remodel. Jason reached out to me and he and I set up a time to meet so he could come out and look at what I've got. I had told Jason that I didn't want to go over a certain amount for this project and he informed me with confidence that he and his team would take care of me no problem. We sat down and Jason and Pete had a 3D model of what they were going to do and it was hands down absolutely amazing! It turned out spectacular and I was very impressed with the work that these guys did and how well they followed up with me on the timeline, they always cleaned up everyday after working on the pool and never left a mess. I will highly recommend The Blue Lagoons to anyone that has a swimming pool and everyone that doesn't. I will also have these guys maintain my pool as well. I have to say... I have had their service for little over 2 years... I am by no means a rich person, and it does get expensive having a pool... I will say they have been really good at working on payment arrangements for big jobs... like a pool pump. For that I am thankful. However after the huge rain storms... My pool had been green... then brown... then darker brown... over a month period. My yard did flood, and some dirt went into my pool... After a month of having my pool look like a mess... I was advised that I needed to drain my pool??? That would cost $ to have it drained... Not to mention the cost of filling my pool back up... 300 to be exact... I've had my pool get to this condition in the past and was able to turn it around... So I got another pool company's opinion... In the meantime i put a boat load of chemicals and my pool started to clear up. I talked to Blue Lagoon about what was going on... They told me that they came by 2-3 times in the past 2 weeks and vacuumed my pool and put enough chemicals in it to clear a swamp. After using a leaf rake I pull about 1/2 of a huge black trash back of leaves out of the bottom of my pool... Including a bird staute that was on the side of the pool... This is questionable to me. I took pictures of the pool and how it was progressing... Not once did they offer to look into it further and passed blame on me for my landscap. I had the new pool company come by and they told me that they were going to put a chemical in it and told me to turn off the filter...to make the gunk go to the bottom of the pool so they could vacuum it. They did and it cost me 300... I sent pictures to Jason to show him the condition of my pool and that I wanted a refund because I had to pay someone for the work that his company was supposed to do... and he refused... He also threatened me with a lean against my house... This is all in emails... He attacked me personally by calling me a broke joke... that I lived in a dump... and that I work for a sh*tty company... and called me BOY... I am appalled by his behavior and am completely shocked that someone whom owns a business acts in such a manner. I have refused the charge on my credit card because I had to pay someone else to do the job this company was paid to do... In addition I have to pay an addiitional $150... We've used Blue Lagoon for at least 4 years, we usually have no problems but recently it's been a lot of bad. This week alone we were told they would be over on Wednesday to clean...no one showed. After an email, no answer on phone...I was told they'd be here on Friday. We called on Thursday to ask if they could do a repair on a valve (that they were supposed to fix 2 months prior) in the same day. As of 5:45 on Friday...nobody. We've been calling since 3:00 and no answer and no return call. read more

Wow, sorry to hear about the other customers that did not receive the same service we did. We recently had to switch to TBL after our friend and former pool service company moved to Waco. We were terrified of finding a new company as contractors around DFW are ridiculously hit or miss. We explained our trepidations to Tina who assured us that they would provide excellent service. We had heard that before and were not convinced. Their prices are fair and competitive (which is more than I can say about my plumber who came out yesterday). Our cleaning tech, Jose, showed up on time for our 1st cleaning and while we didn't get to meet him, made a great 1st impression with a great clean. Tina in the office responds to any e-mails/contacts in a very timely and courteous manner. We were starting to think that we may have struck oil... We had them give us a quote today to re-seal our pool deck. No less than the owner of the company, Jason, arrived and provided us with an e-mailed quote free of charge. The quote was under what our previous company, who was owned by a close friend, had quoted us! Now we were sure. I saw a small amount of possible algae growth today in our pool (common in an indian summer like we have) and I reached out to Tina via e-mail to see if there was anything we could do before the next cleaning to kill/mitigate/clean the pool up. Jason, the owner, is still e-mailing me back and forth as I write this at Friday night @ 10:34PM with suggestions, tips, and possibilities for what I might be seeing. I would have never in my wildest dreams expected to hear back from anyone until Monday morning. I feel bad for the other 2 customers who did not have the same experience that we did, but I am sold. This is the rudest, most unprofessional company! Their billing system is MESSED up for one thing - they charge your credit card regardless of whether service was performed or not. Don't ever use this company. They are a complete scam. The owner Jason is probably the most rude person I have ever worked for. He is a lier and cheat. I worked for two weeks for this man a total of 9 days. When it came time to pay me Jason at first tried to hold my check from me all together. Once I convinced him to give me my check it turns out he ripped me off for 6 days worth of work. When I confronted him about it all he said was "I don't pay people for training, well a refresher rather" because I already had experience he couldn't even call it training. Well with that being said he also claimed "you agreed to work for free, if you don't like it then sue me" then proceeds to block me from contacting him. This man is as crooked as a politician and I would STAY AS FAR AWAY from this company as you can. read more

Whatever you are looking for in a pool service company, this is not it. The other reviews I've read ring very true to my own experience with these clowns which includes inconsistency in service, rude (to the point of laughable) customer service, and total negligence. The last straw came recently when we came home from being out of town to our hose water running and our pool flooding. We called Blue Lagoon (The only people with access to our back yard) and the owner, Jason, blamed my wife or me as having forgotten to turn off the water. They take no ownership in mistakes they make and certainly won't reimburse regardless of the situation. We fired them after this last episode (after which I, too, was threatened with a house lien by Jason if I didn't pay the October payment which they only cleaned 2 out of the 4 weeks). I hired another company to come out to take over the service within the week. They noticed my filter was running at a very high pressure, so they ran a quick test that showed I must have holes in my grids. Upon opening the filter, they noticed all 8 grids were damaged due to neglectful filter care. These Grids are less than a year old and should last 4-5 years or longer with proper maintenance. Long story short, Blue Lagoon is rude, unreliable, and do not even perform the one job you've hired them to do. read more
