I will never see the name Texas Native Aquatics and not relive the trauma they have caused. Let me tell you about it. The previous owners of our home did not care for the pool, so after many years of trying to find the right person for the job, we thought Ryan would be our savior; boy, were we wrong. Things started off great! My husband found him on YELP with a high 4-star rating back in December 2024. Ryan was eager and appeared excited to bring our pool back to life. Ryan and Team started working on our pool February 2025. I mean, this guy is over communicating at this point. Keeping us updated on when they were coming out to the house and what materials were being purchased & so forth. We were indeed pleased. Our first biggest mistake, we paid him in full in April 2025. Ryan immediately stopped accepting our calls and stopped replying to text messages. We were out of $12,000! Thank the Lord we paid with a CC, so we took it up with our bank, but it wasn't easy. In June 2025, we were told by our bank that Ryan submitted pictures of a completed pool---claiming it was OUR pool. As a result, the ruling was ruled in Ryan's favor, not ours. We were in complete shock; utter devastation. FULL TRANSPARANCY POST NEXT: The stress was unimaginable. I stopped eating, my hair began to fall out, and I was so filled with anxiety, I could barely work. Texas Native Aquatics put such a severe strain on our lives, but my hurt turned into anger, AND WE FOUGHT BACK. We were not going to accept this! We took even more photos and gathered even more text messages to prove our case. It took hours upon hours to put the evidence together, but the hard work paid off. The claim was reopened and TODAY, the bank ruled in our favor. Today is September 16, 2025, and our pool is still unusable. It's been drained for 7 months---which can lead to more serious issues. We've declined hosting family events, friend get-togethers and birthday parties for our nephews all due to our pool condition and the pain/suffering Ryan Williams has caused. Feel free to visit his google and yelp page---as you can see, we are not the first to write about being taken advantage of. And as of recently, his ratings have declined. I am truly fearful for this guy because if he continues this type of practice, then he might end up working for the wrong client and he will be out a lot more than he is now. Lucky for him, he got a nice couple I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND RYAN WILLIAMS AND TEXAS NATIVE ACQUATICS. read more

This is my saga in dealing with the most impossible contractor I've ever worked with. This started around 7/17-18/2025. It all started well. Ryan came by to give me an estimate on a pool demolition. (He refused to address fixing the pool). He made me a great deal, and offered me a discount on some of the new equipment that the pool never got installed (about 20% of retail, better than nothing). He also told me he'd get it done in a week, if he could start right away, and I'd need to pay him half now to start. I should have heeded the bad reviews here. They are spot on. He showed up the next day and the day after that. and then didn't hear back until sometime on the following Sunday. I text him about the haphazard schedule and this was supposed to take a week what is going on? I'll be there later. He shows up with his wife and kid and they do some puttering around the yard, some work is done. The asks were spread out over the weeks but between week 2 and 5 these were some of the excuses. He needs more money. Another $1000 to order dirt. His dirt guy "let him down". We were out there, ha you didn't even know we were there (paraphrasing). We can tell nothing has changed except once when someone came by to take some equipment. I was never notified when they were going to be on site. Dirt finally shows up. They dump it in the middle of my driveway blocking everything (I have a 2x3 car driveway, there was room). It should have been put in a container as now our front lawn is covered in bits concrete that are in the dirt. We told them to move it as it is blocking my car. I had to shovel it out of the way myself so I could get to a doctor's appt a few days later. When the rest of the dirt was delivered as he called me to tell me it was coming today. (called me for the first time to inform me of something). When I came back, they had take the fence and gate off the front of my house. My wife explicitly told him that the gate must be closed when they leave everyday. He told her he had a skidsteer that can fit (It's a pretty big gate. Then he took it down anyway. It is still not back up. August 7th: They fill in the hole finally. It looks too high, I take a picture and send it to him. He replies "I'm coming by" He's told by my wife that there can't be a step here. We ask repeatedly that it seems too high, we don't want anything higher than this slab that they didn't demolish. Please bring it down, there can't be a step, my dog had back surgery in January and he can't go up and down steps. It is non-negotiable. I even recall telling him no steps or nothing more than the current drop from the house to the existing patio deck. It should also be graded. Instead, they drilled into the house to make it flush with the house. We told him several times Today August 23: He warns me for the first time in a while that concrete will be there. And they were and on time. They started to fill the form, and I noticed the went right to the top of the form where we told them we did NOT want to, creating about an 8inch step to the slab they did not demolish. I text him, "it's too high" there can't be a step. I told him to come and fix it after they just poured it. Eventually he gets here and he's already lying about what my wife told him versus what I told him. Then he accused me and my wife of not being together (don't know why that was top of mind for him). He then calls me at some point, I was away from my phone. He accused me of ignoring his communications in the voicemail. I was confused, I thought he was here. Nope, he left. Then he texted me this crazy plan to try to fix it that just didn't fix it (We'll bring that other pad up the 8inches and then use dirt to fill in the gaps...) and that he had already left instead of talking to me about it directly. He was trying to sell me on regrading my whole backyard on regrade and level. He hasn't even finished the first job competently or on-time. I've told him to tear it out. It is what I would have told him to his face if he didn't run. He said, you have to wait for it to cure. Which is hogwash, he was trying to convince me that "I'll learn to like it". Let the guys finish. All the while they're outside dying and pebbling this concrete. I had to go out there and tell them to stop and get it out. They didn't, they just hung around and it was the first time they heard that I didn't want this. Good thing my Spanish is sufficient. I'm going to give him until Monday to tear it all out and repair the damage he did to my home. Also refund me the cost of the concrete he didn't end up using. TL:DR: Do not hire this company. Do not hire Ryan Williams. You're better off doing it yourself than paying this guy to not do it. 1 week time estimate turned into 6 weeks of it not being finished and done to his own standards. He made changes, I would complain he'd blame my wife. No thank you. read more

The owner of this company (as I understand it) is not a man of his word. After I initiated their help with my pool repair I texted him my concern) we agreed on what I needed which included a lot more than I asked for but we agreed it appeared to be needed. So after they started the work. Well after 2 days and waiting to see my MAIN concern get fixed he tells me they can't fix it without another $1750 bucks! Because the problem was not what he thought It would be.. so after paying for stuff that I didn't really want to begin with he wanted to stop. So We did finally end up getting my Pool light fixed. Now the plumbing work is leaking and still not draining correctly and the owner has blocked me on texts. I would not do business with this company again. Buyer beware. read more

This man took our money, bought a discontinued version of the pool equipment, and bailed on our job.

They helped me set up a large blowup pool in my backyard in 2024. They levelled the ground, selected a filter, showed me how to use and maintain it. Very helpful and greatly appreciated. read more

If you're going to be rude to customers, after you never showed up for a quote like you stated you would, at least have prices below what your competitors are quoting. Whoever was texting me promised to give me a quote, never showed up, and 2 weeks later asked if I was still looking for a quote. Upon letting him know that he never arrived for the quote and I had found another company, he then was very rude and quoted me a price that was $1K more than everyone else as he stated he was "among the lowest." Give me a break! And get better customer service skills! read more

Paid Texas native aquatics Pool Service $22,000 and the pool has sat empty and incomplete the entire summer. They did complete some of the work but did not finish the final pebble tech and just quit returning phone calls and texts. Had two other companies come out to look at the pool to complete the job, and both of them told me the work that was completed was completely substandard And would need to be redone. Complete scam. Do not use this company. read more

This company is only here to speed things along between the consumer and the sub contractor that goes go "Amazing Pools." The initial work done by Amazing Pools was satisfactory. They repaired cracks in my pool applied hydraulic cement and replastered using black pebble and applied an acid wash. The problems began after. The subcontractor was not hired to do after care and Ryan at are as Native Aquatics did not know what he was doing. He did apply Muriatic acid or brush. When the project was over he came to me and said here's some acid and after you add it just wait for a few days for the pH to rise normally. Then when I contacted him that there was a white film staining the surface, he said he does not do the brushing. It would have been professional and honest to let me know the pool surface required daily brushing. I am paying another company to fix this staining issue. read more

Amazing customer service, very responsive and friendly. I would highly recommend. When I thought there was an issue with the service he came out , no questions asked and made sure everything was working properly. Great company. Great workers. These guys are well rounded and they're not limited to only pools! 100% recommend.

Just call - you won't be disappointed! After being "gifted" a hot tub, let's just say it needed LOTS of TLC. We hired an electrician to power it up- but of course it needed a new pump and the wiring was suspect, as it kept tripping the breaker. Ryan and his crew to the rescue!! They showed up immediately and had us up and running before the weekend as a fraction of the cost of other service providers! Go ahead and save him to your phone- you're going to need him! read more

I wish I could leave a positive review, but I feel it's important to share my experience. I put down more than $4,000 in March 2025, as a deposit to resurface my pool. Despite repeated assurances, the company continuously delayed with vague updates, excuse after excuse, and no action. Eventually, communication stopped altogether, and no refund has been given. I've filed complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General. I strongly recommend others proceed with extreme caution. read more

Wow...I'm blown away. Our hot tub died yesterday afternoon and here we are less than 24 hours later and it is up and running again. It didn't even have time to cool down really. I put in a request online and within MINUTES Ryan called me back. I explained the problem and he set us up for a service call around noon today. I've had hot tub issues before and let me tell you it isn't always easy to find someone who can service the variety of tubs out there. Parts are hard to find too. We use the hot tub just about every night so any down time is a big inconvenience for us. Well Ryan's guys showed up right on time and without much effort got to work diagnosing the problem. In short order they knew the issue and were off to the store for the necessary parts. Back in a flash and before you know it the tub was back! They left the area spotless, as though they were never there. Really awesome service. The price was very reasonable and I was able to pay remotely using Zelle, super easy! You just can't get better. Fast, on time, professional, and affordable. Ryan and Texas Native Aquatics have my business! You should give them yours too. read more

We needed new mastic around our pool and wanted the hard water/mineral build up removed. Ryan and his crew did the work very well and charged a most reasonable rate. We needed a bit of the mastic removed from outside the gap area but Ryan came right back to clean it up. read more

These fine folks transformed my amphibious swamp of a pool into a Clearwater oasis. In less than 2 days. Ryan came out the same day I opened a project on Yelp and worked late to ensure that I would be able to swim in my pool by the weekend. The team was professional and efficient. I couldn't ask for a better outcome. I would trust these folks with my pool no matter the need or issue. Thanks y'all! read more

I requested a pool cleaning quote on Yelp for a pool that had been neglected for an extended period. Ryan responded very quickly and quoted a very reasonable price and was able to get the pool swim-ready quickly. He also replaced our pool filter which was undersized for the pool volume. Ryan has been highly responsive, provided great service, and is a pleasure to work with overall. I highly recommend Texas Native Aquatics! read more

Out Hot Springs above-ground hot tub was inoperable because it kept tripping the GFCI breaker. We contacted Texas Native Acquatics (TNA) to see if they could help. Even though TNA doesn't normally service Hot Springs products, Ryan agreed to come to the house the day after we talked with him on the phone. He immediately diagnosed the problem and corrected it in less than 15 minutes. He refused to take any money for the trip charge since he lived nearby. Fast response time, great service, integrity, thoughtfulness, and customer care. We couldn't ask for anything more from a company. read more

Our first experience with Ryan and Texas Native Aquatics went well. Ryan came out right away to look at pool, gave a quote quickly, and started the job quickly. Looking back, we were pressured to make a quick decision and should have seen that as a red flag. Initial pool repair went fairly quickly, however, things kept getting suggested to make things better and a longer fix, so we agreed to all suggestions (we owned only one pool before with no problems). Not even a month after repairs, our pool was leaking again. Now, I don't fault this company for not repairing properly, I think our pool was beyond repair. So, Ryan came out again and gave multiple suggestions. We were running out of money, so decided to fill it in. He said he could do it all including make a concrete patio and install fake grass. And it could be fully done in 5 days. We went ahead and that is where most of our issues started. There were so many problems. The main thing was that Ryan WAY underestimated the cost for fill. Again, more money was needed. Then, his crew did the patio. They butchered it. It was pathetic. I could have done a better job myself. The fake grass he said was "the best Home Depot had." They barely tacked it down and tacks rusted away within a couple weeks. What was supposed to take 5 days, took over a month. Needless to say, we had to end the job with Ryan and hire another company. This new company apologized profusely for the horrible job previously done. They said we should take Ryan to court. We ended up having to take out entire concrete pad and start over. Maybe Ryan's company can do very basic pool repairs well, but don't plan on doing more. And plan on continually giving more and more money. read more

Great experience. Ryan, the owner, responded within a few minutes and was at my house in about 20 minutes diagnosing the issue, and this was on a Sunday. I had submitted the repair request on Yelp and after agreeing to have Ryan/Native do the work I got multiple other responses later that quoted much higher prices so was really glad he showed up quickly and I agreed to use him. Saved me a lot of money and diagnosed and performed the repairs quickly. This is the type of experience I think we all are hoping to find. read more

Amazing ability to diagnose my problem over the phone. Of course they actually had no idea what was wrong and wanted a lot of money to come treat what wasn't wrong. Thankful I didn't have to do business with them. read more
