I've tried multiple nail salons in various North Texas towns. I keep making the drive to come back to Bliss Nails in Melissa as Phoebe is the best. She runs a great business, provides excellent results, and is pleasant to talk to. The facility is clean, beverages are offered, and the facility is spacious and pretty. She remembers me from prior visits which makes me feel valued, as does the receptionist. The color selection is large, including new seasonal colors just added! My difficult nails simply look better and last longer than other places. I've had GelX, Acrylic, and Dip from Phoebe as well as pedicures from the other techs, and love it all every time. The massage chairs are comfortable and relaxing. A nail tech and pedicure tech will work on both at the same time to allow me to get in & out of there quicker. This seems to be a Texas practice, it was new to me when I moved here and I do like it to help manage my busy working mom schedule. When I have the time, I may reserve my nails separate from my pedi to be able to fully enjoy the massage chair as needed to turn it off during any detailed nail work. My first summer with Phoebe included many different colors and designs on my nails. She never disappointed and always checked to make sure I liked it! My 4th of July nails were my absolute favorite with blue & red nails and a few well placed stars. Phoebe also did marbling for me one time, and I was truly amazed at her artistry. So beautiful. The area is growing rapidly, so recommend making an appointment, but walk ins are welcome. I REALLY appreciate that I can text to schedule an appointment as it is hard to make calls during the day. First time here based off of a recommendation of a friend. I don't live close, so trust is a big thing. Met the owner and his wife, I won't be disrespectful and try to spell their names, but they are a sweet young couple that moved to our beautiful state of Texas took over this salon 2 years ago. Chairs are new, place is Uber clean, the staff seems to love their job and my favorite part was watching how they interacted with the little girls that came in. Finally, I have found my nail home! I'm always wanting lots of glitter, neon, and chrome to choose from. Bliss has anything and everything you could ever want! Tons of colors! This is the second time I've been here, but the first time I got my fingernails done. I was feeling fancy, so I opted for the nexgen (dip). I had showed a picture where three fingers were one color and the other two were a French. Overall, my nails are ok, super thick in some areas and bumpy. Looking at them from the side, they look outrageously thick, as if the tech didn't shave them down or even them out enough. I went in with a friend so we were chatting and I did not look at my nails from the side until they were done. Nonetheless, some are just uneven in thickness. And the fingers with the French manicure are crooked; like the design is uneven. Clearly I couldn't see how the tech was carving out the design to say anything, but I'd expect them to be more even. The tech just jumped right in, working fast, but maybe could have slowed down a little bit to check if the designs were even, as well as the actual nail itself. I guess a QA check must be done throughout the service, going forward to avoid of these issues. read more

I would truly give them a 3.5, but I feel 4 is too high. I recently moved here to Melissa from Mckinney and I truly wanted to love my nails. (Mainly so I wouldn't have to drive the distance to Mckinney or get them done in Dallas where I work) I called here Saturday morning and asked for an appointment and they said I could come now as it wasn't to busy. Perfect! I asked the Manager on duty for the best nail tech and I was paired with Mike for my nexgen/dip powder manicure and a pedicure with Jen. Customer service was good, not over the top and nothing that stood out to me. This location does provide cold drinks but not wine/mimosas like my other go-to's. (That's okay I don't judge by that lol) A 3.5 was given because I feel they deserve just that, my nails look good at first glance until you notice the imperfections. My nails have several lumps, when he lined up my nail bed it isn't straight at all, and the depth of the line is different on all hands. The good is he was very nice and shaped them pretty nicely. My pedicure was nice and the massage was soo nice, I literally almost fell asleep. (And I never do that) I felt the shape could've been perfected, but I guess I can do this at my house. I asked for really square, I received squoval (square and rounded). Lastly, I didn't like that she cleaned the callous remover in my water and water me to put my clean feet back in the water. All in all I was happy that they were giving a discount 10% for teachers and students. $67.50 for everything not including tip. Not to shabby. I don't know if I would be back, maybe if I'm in a clutch. But I rather spend $80 on something that I love. read more

I have been here a few times now and I really have enjoyed my service. My nails always look great.

The first time I have liked a nail salon very patient & couteous. Even when I damaged my own nail there they fixed it wirh no complaints.

My friend and I made two appointments for 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon. However, we weren't seen until nearly 2PM, so that wasn't the best start. However, Amy did my regular pedicure ($25 in the service menu) and did an amazing job! The regular includes buffing and de-callusing, paraffin wax, a scrub, and ten minutes of massaging on top of your choice of color. Honestly the pedicure itself was amazing, but all the other pets of the experience were a bit off-putting. If you check in on Yelp for the first time, you get 5% off your service. It also says you get a "secret voucher", which seemed to confuse the ladies working the desk. This apparently refers to when you put your number into the five stars kiosk they have at the front desk, they'll text you deals every now and then. The kiosk also says you can get 20% off if you spend $65 in services on your first visit. However, the lady was adamant that we couldn't combine our services and have one person pay for the both of us...even though it didn't say that JUST one person had to spend that much. Very strange customer service, but Amy was really very good and I would return for her! read more

I really want to like this place...it took me 3 hours for a mani/pedi. Ok. I can understand. They were short staffed. I had my nails done on Sunday. She told me she was going to do a "thin" NexGen. By Friday there was a huge chip out of my thumb nail. On Monday another chip out of my ring finger. I sit at a computer. They should not break like this. My hair gets caught on the nail near the cuticle. They aren't smooth either. I want to like this place. But my experience was poor at best. read more

I absolutely love this nail salon! I waited for a few visits to write a review to ensure it was the real deal. It absolutely is! Tamie is super nice. She really goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. The service provided by Tamie was top notch. She is so attentive, kind, very gentle and service oriented... I can't tell you how great she is. I had my daughter get the Dipping nail done (ok... I used my daughter as the guinea pig before I committed myself, I know, that's horrid) and she loves it! I love the way it looks too. I came here tonight to get my broken nail fixed. They were so gracious to take me even though it was late and they were about to close. Tammy fixed me right up and even helped me to match my nail perfectly which ya very hard to do considering it's not the same product as the nail salon who originally did my Nex Gen. She didn't hurt me like my other nail salon, very gentle and she was very sweet. The place is clean and enormous and I felt right at home. I did not realize they stay open so late and it works great for me because I can still make it in after work.
