Dip "manicure".. horrible experience as the newer receptionist (about 6-8months) shared I was a walking in after calling and she guaranteed I would be seen upon arrival if if arrived before 9:30 am as she had two technicians available. I replied I would be in ~10 mins and arrived exactly on time at 9:26am.. Not the owner but the man as GM was extremely rude when I tried to explain the scenario but was still charged $120+ for my nails that I actually went to another salon to remove as I was embarrassed to show up to work like this as my nails were left a disaster and completely unprofessional :( read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!!! First, the lady who did my nails had an attitude the whole time. What was off putting from the beginning was that there is an additional $10 charge for trimming cuticles. I've been getting my nails done biweekly for 25+ years, there isn't a salon that doesn't include cuticle trimming with a manicure. But, nonetheless, she began the manicure without adding cuticle softener before clipping my cuticles. I had to ask her, "can you use cuticle softener? That hurts"... It went downhill from there. I had to ask for something to drink. She attempted to measure which gel-x tips would fit each of my fingers. However, she used 4 stiletto nails and tried to shape them into almond (almond was the shape I requested). She should've asked me if I was okay with that, as there was an obvious difference. There was excess glue everywhere, so I asked, "can you remove the glue from my fingers?" She sighed after every request. Now, if you've ever gotten gel-x before, when they add the glue and have you cure the nail, you anticipate a slight warmth/burn.. but this time because of the excess glue, I felt like someone lit a flame to each of my nails. Finally, upon completion, I noticed that there was missing polish on a couple nails. I mentioned it before leaving the chair and all she said was, "ok, sorry". Fast forward to two days later, after staring at my hands, I noticed that the width of the nails where the stiletto tips were used looked a lot smaller than the other six nails, so I returned to see if someone can fix them. I was met with a "sorry, we're still out of almond size for you". The front desk girl, sat me at a table, began sizing my nails but spoke in Vietnamese to the woman who did my nails two days prior. Plot twist: I understood her in Vietnamese. The woman told her, "tell her we can't fix anything for her". I will not be returning! The shop looks new, the vibe was ok, typical pop music being played. I did notice that the towels were not clean. I'd give this place zero stars if I could. I'm really big on customer service... nothing bothers me more than someone not providing a service the way that I've requested: hair, nails, toes, lashes, eyebrows etc. It's not one size fits all and should be personalized. I pride myself on being polite to those providing the service. So despite the attitude I received, I didn't reciprocate. 0/10, do not recommend this place. read more

This was by far the worst salon experience we've ever had, and we will never return! Communication was terrible from the start, and the techs couldn't understand me, and everything we asked for was ignored. We were regulars there, but it's gone terribly downhill, and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. First, it was obvious that the techs were talking in another language, and making fun of me. They started it after I told them I had an injured shoulder, and needed the pedi and mani done separately, not at the same time. They didn't like that answer and kept pushing me to do both together. They'd argue with me, then talk about me in another language. Everytime there was anything odd, they'd switch to their language so I couldn't understand them. But the way they'd laugh and look at me, pretty sure it WAS about me. So unprofessional. I requested a simple square shaping of my already long natural nails. Sadly, my nails were chopped down to nubs before I knew it, as she very quickly did whatever she wanted to do. My nails were gone. I asked for gel polish on my hands and the matching regular polish for my toes. Which they said they had that, "no problem, we have exact match". Instead, the tech picked her "matching" shade that was completely wrong. My hands ended up a bright, ugly blood red, while my toes were glittery burgundy for Fall (the original color I had chosen for both). When I pointed this out, they argued with me instead of apologizing. The only "solution" offered was to put the ugly red gel on my toes too, and I NEVER wanted to get gel toes in the first place. We tried to discuss our grievances with any of them, but either they didn't understand us or they simply didn't care. No one apologized, and no one took responsibility for the mistakes. The two female techs walked away to the back as I was trying to talk to them about my issue. Poof! Gone! That. Was. Rude. That was very flipping rude. Worse, both my husband and I were burned severely by their overheated neck wraps. We both have multiple bright red burns on our necks and shoulders, and we will be including pictures. His wrap was at least inside a real towel, but mine was bizarrely wrapped in what looked like a cheap store bathroom paper towel. I was badly burned in three separate places because of it. When we pointed it out, they acted like they didn't understand us, even though the burns were large, painful, and obviously burns. I was also nearly burned by scalding hot water. The tech left the faucet on full hot and never once checked the temperature before putting my feet in. Luckily, I pulled away quickly enough to avoid an injury, but that should never have happened. On top of that, I specifically asked for no stone massage. They agreed, and it was ignored, hot stones were used anyway. We also paid extra for paraffin wax, but they were rushing so much that it didn't even harden before they ripped it off. A complete waste of money. I left with wax still all over me. It was a slimy mess. The salon itself was filthy. The gel lamps were sticky and gross, surfaces were VERY unclean, and my tech spilled my drink on me TWICE! She just left it on the floor and ignored it. Hygiene and safety clearly aren't priorities here. And then came the bill: over $220 for a basic crappy gel manicure, an ugly gel pedicure (which was their "only option" to fix THEIR mistake), and a basic men's pedicure. They never once warned us it would cost a lot of extra to "correct" what THEY messed up. We paid way more $$$ because of their mistakes, and they didn't care about any of it. Horrible customer service and completely dishonest. This experience wasn't worth $100, let alone $220. Between the burns, the filth, the chopped off nails, the dishonesty, and the careless service, Villa Nail Bar has gone downhill beyond repair. We should have walked out the moment things went wrong. You've lost our business permanently. Update.....Days later, the burns are still there. I'm going to talk to the Health Dept and a Dr about the burns. They shouldn't be present days later. And the Health Dept should look into how filthy this place and unregulated this place is. read more

I have given this place the benefit of doubt a few times and have tried them multiple times and it's all about the money here. You up charge $10 for "French dip" then if you swap out the white you charge another $5... yet the tech couldn't even dip far enough down so she painted overtop with gel polish. It's been about a week since I went in for a pedicure and dipped nails. While getting my pedicure, the lady cut my toe with the foot file and made it seem like it was just a scrape. I couldn't tell while there. I let the lady at the front desk know that I was not happy with my services but she didn't seem to care. Watch out for up charges. They took advantage of my teenage daughter. She went in for a nail dip, pedicure and eye brow wax. $162 later... $5 add on for long nails, they weren't long, charges get extra for French and then an extra $5.00 because she wanted the tips to be pink instead of white. We will never be back! They up charged her over and over. When I confronted them they offered her $10 refund and to return the workers tip. The nail techs that did my pedicure and gel manicure were great and had a great sense of humor! My nails were fabulous and lasted a long time. We just moved to the area a few weeks ago and wanted to find a local spa. Great customer service! Very nice ambiance. Fast service without an appointment and good prices. My daughters full set of dipped nails turned out beautiful, even better than the picture she showed him. My son had his first pedicure with hot stones and although very reluctant when we pitched him the idea, he enjoyed the experience.
