There are plenty of options for you to choose from. You can mix the sauces a little bit to get that different kind of flavoring you would like. I get a good amount of chicken, sausages, pepperonis, and whatever else I'm feeling. Then we move onto the veggies and I love my veggies too! I always get an assortment of those. The food is great but the restaurant and management need attention to detail. During the late afternoon, eating at the restaurant you get blinded by the sun. They need to instal shades on the window or a tint. Really uncomfortable eating there. The manager needs to pay attention to detail and be able to manage the restaurant. Tables were dirty and there were no utensils available. The manager wasn't really friendly when I asked for assistance. She looked tired and anoyd. They did not give me my salad right away so I had to wait to ask for it after receiving my pizza and trying to get someone's attention to receive my rest of my order. Another day, another Blaze. Pizza kick is still going strong and decided to try another Blaze location in Pasadena (this time with the fiancé in tow). I built my own pie this time instead of opting for one of their combos and think I did just an okay job. I had the regular crust with mozzarella, sautéed onions, and mushrooms--I think the mix of not-so-dry ingredients and the piled high mozz made for a softer crust than I was hoping for. For a fired pizza, I was missing that crunch. The staff was night enough, but it was late-ish on a Friday night and they were all young and kind of over it. No big errors aside from forgetting some arugula from bae's pizza. The good news about this location is that its enormous and has tons of parking (shares a lot with Vallarta), so I'd definitely suggest this spot if you're looking for something easy for a group. They also have gluten free crust--another perk for group dining, especially in LA. Bottom Line Up Front (BLUG): I've been a fan of this chain, just think corporate needs to stop by. I love going to this chain for the simple reason that I love pizza, and have to eat g-free. They do a really good crust and glove change system at this chain so this is why The i look for them. This location...ok, so everything started good. Got our orders in, and watch the glove change and dough prep (usually they wipe the dough press down prior to tossing my crust in, but didn't this time). This already worried me, but if a little contamination happens I can deal ok with it. Then, my pie god handed off to someone who just finished my families pies, with normal wheat flour dough. I still felt I would be ok, with out that glove change. However, the young lady putting the toppings on seemed highly rushed to finish, even though there was no one in line. To avoid any further issues I just dealt with the skimp toppings. Now I know I should have spoke up and stated the whole glove change with the second person..even though it was indicated on the order sheet. First time going to a Blaze pizza, probably the last time as well. Walked in and it was moderately busy. There were approximately 7 employees working and the line was building up as the service was very slow. Maybe the employees were having a bad day because there was a BTS concert going on up the street at the Rose Bowl so perhaps they had been slammed all day. But at the point when we walked in, the employees appeared completely drained with no care in the world about the customers experience and were not pacing themselves to keep up with the incoming customers. Up ahead I could see several restless customers waiting for their food and voicing concerns. The amount of toppings that we received on the pizzas was laughable. My girlfriend ordered the "Veg Out" pizza and you could literally count on one hand the number of vegetables that were on the pizza. It looked like a cheese pizza. The two employees who were placing the toppings on the pizza were acting as if the toppings cost were coming directly out of their paychecks putting the bare minimum of sauce and toppings. After ordering, we sat down and waited for our food. After a few minutes my girlfriend got up to check and I heard her yell out "They burnt your pizza." She came back to the table with one pizza and told me that the guy left our other pizza in too long and it was burnt to a crisp. The pizza that had survived was also burnt across the bottom and edges but I ate it anyway, which I regret, because it tasted like charcoal. I should have just got our money back and got the hell out of there. Blaze deserves their name as they blazed the holy hell out of two of the three pizzas we ordered. Several other customers were protesting at this point as some people had received their food ahead of others who had been waiting for quite some time. My girlfriend asked about the dough knots she ordered and she was advised that they forgot to put them in so she had to wait while they made those. The guy running the oven was certainly having an off night. We got the burnt pizza remade but it took about another 10 minutes to get it. The employees didn't offer any apology or anything to offset the time lost and the frustration created by their mistakes. The pizza flavor itself wasn't that good. I had heard good things about Blaze pizza but I just don't get it. The part of the crust that wasn't burnt wasn't that flavorful, the sauce was good but there was hardly any on the pizza. Places like Subway and Chipotle that operate in an assembly line, you pick the toppings, type of setting always pile the toppings high. I was so dumbfounded that Blaze went so skimpy. I mean that's kind of the only thing that could possibly set Blaze apart and make them unique from Pizza Hut, Domino's and other pizza joints who routinely go skimpy on toppings. read more

Found this Blaze by accident tonight and decided to stop in and it was EXCELLENT! Staff was friendly and exhibited extraordinary cleanliness. For instance one of the workers who had just put on new gloves and started cutting our pizza had to answer the phone and after she hung up, discarded the gloves and got a new pair. MAJOR APPLAUSE. The negative reviews about the rude and unprofessional behavior of the staff at this location are spot on. I placed a takeout order via the Blaze app and arrived 5 minutes after the estimated pickup time. After watching some paint dry for 50 minutes in a NEAR EMPTY RESTAURANT, I approached a staff member and asked why it was taking so long to complete my order. To my surprise I was told by the supposed "shift manager" to suck it up and wait like everyone else... Wow, what a great and professional response by the supposed "shift manager". It's very refreshing when an employee tells a paying customer who has patiently waited for 50 minutes to go and (insert expletive here) themselves. Guess what, you are not doing me any favors, I paid for the pizzas! I can understand a delay of 10 minutes or so, but 50 minutes is an unacceptable amount of time for 2 pizzas and 4 dough nuts! The apathy and rude attitude of the supposed "shift manager" was mind numbing and any sane person would think that the exchange would stop there... No, wait, there is more... She doubled down on her great customer relation skills and went on to rant about how she hated her job! You can't make this stuff up. You would think that a service oriented business would value paying customers and their repeat business, but apparently this location is a trail blazer of sorts and has decided to reject this common practice. I've been to other Blaze locations and had great customer service (specifically the Colorado Blvd. location in Pasadena), but this location is a disaster and requires major staff retraining. Seems like the staff sorely lacks common sense, any sort of customer interaction skills, and competent supervision/leadership. BTW, I'm still waiting for my refund for the portion of the order that I didn't receive. Nice job and please keep up the bad work. Suffice it to say, I will pursue this with the Blaze corporate office. Finally, checkout the attached photo for the masterful pizza cutting skills of the supposed "shift manager" at this friendly location. I'm in awe of her audacity to reject the inefficient and mundane triangle shaped slices forced upon us by the evil Pizza Industrial Complex. Unlike traditional pizza stores such as Dominos or Pizza Hut that might put like 10 pieces of chicken on your pizza, at Blaze you can put 11 pieces or more of chicken on your pizza.
