I've been to blaze several times and absolutely have loved my pizzas. this latest experience trying to get my rewards though, and trying to deal with any type of customer service help was ridiculous. They don't really have a number for you to call or anyway to contact them. the number that I did find nobody ever answers and you can't talk to anybody. Bf told me this is the fastest growing pizza chain! We went here when it first opened and have been coming back ever since. You basically just get in line and tell them how to make your pizza. Sounds awesome right?! We always get whatever we're feeling like that day and it comes out awesome every time. Ingredients are fresh with sooo many toppings and cheeses. Although I do have one complaint... that charcoal on the bottom of the pizza always bother me but my bf tells me that's how it's supposed to be... but I guess it's too much char for me lol. The pizzas are a thin crust but I believe a thicker crust is available. I think the salads are okay. I'm not a huge fan about it. Don't forget to get their tea drinks. The concept is good. Similar to Medici but they are not organized. You don't have any idea what is available until you are there to order and they don't give you time to look at the menu or options. I am a manager for a local sports team. We had a fundraiser the other evening. Getting the approval from Blaze Pizza was the easiest process I have ever done. I had the approval within 1 hour. However, the evening of the dine in, I am not so sure they were ready for us. The wait in line was 1/2 hour or more. The line was quite long, which was good for us regarding our supporters who came out to help us. All in all, by the time everyone in our group was served, I believe everyone was satisfied. I do have to say, I LOVED LOVED the pizza!! My husband also loved his. I will definitely go back, in fact I am planning to go there this evening for dinner. Also, I love their hours. Had the BBQ chicken pizza which was great especially with blue cheese, something I wouldn't normally put on a pizza. Paired with a lemonade that taste Ike fresh squeezed. Been to this location 6 times since it opened. They have been packed every time we go, line to or out the door. But service is always with a smile and they are having fun. The manager they brought in from MI is great! Food has been excellent. They cook my High Rise pizza with a crispy crust but the slices have some chew, just the way I like it. Last night; Saturday, September 30; my wife and I met my co-worker and his wife. They seemed a few employees short and when we got into range we heard a few employees apologize that they had some people quit without notice and are down staff for the evening. Everyone in line was talking and watching and patience. On a Friday or Saturday evening you can't go to any restaurant and expect seats, service and food in 30 minutes. In Fort Wayne during dinner hours those days it can be 90 minutes to just be seated and then 30 minutes for appetizers. We had our food and were sitting to eat within 55 minutes at the busiest dinner time on Saturday night! There was one customer that decided to become belligerent, (I am being nice cause he was really the South end of a North bound Donkey!), and everyone around him rolled their eyes as he was loud and rude to the entire staff & customers. The manager from MI came down to talk to the customer and then later was around the counter as he was at the register talking to him again. I have been in a retail career for years and now in corporate education for retail employees. This manager had the patience of divine intervention. I would have struggled to maintain my composer with this customer, which when I walked by smelled of alcohol. To what this manager with the customer twice and was amazing and a great show of Blaze Pizza professionalism. The man took his two pizzas and sat outside with his companion and at them all. I will absolutely be back for more from this location. Of all the locations in IN & MI I have visited this one has been busier and still exhibits the best you have to offer. There were only three people in front of us, but they must have been ordering everything on the menu or the staff was moving at a snails pace. All were pretty good in taste, but could have used just a bit more time in the oven. Two of our pizzas were on their speciality list - "Art Lover" (art - as in artichoke) and some type of meat one (name escapes me at the current time). The interesting part with these - the gal putting together our pizza only put two pieces of artichoke on the Art Lover. Huh? How can you call this pizza 'Art lover' if you're only adding two pieces of the "main" ingredient? There was more cheese, sauce, and garlic on the pie than artichokes. So ... if this is typical - I think Blaze ought to rename the pizza. Maybe "Art Minimalist"? I asked her three different times to add more artichokes to the pie which she did by take one small piece of artichoke and breaking it up into even smaller pieces. Then she asked "is that enough?" No, no, and even in the end no... I finally gave in and gave up trying to help her realize this pie she was make by didn't match its namesake. Well - the meat one was really no different. Same sort of a scenario. The pizza was to feature 'meat'. Mmmm. Only two kinds and just a few pieces leaves me to wonder if the gal making the pies has been trained properly or if Blaze knows how to name its pizzas appropriately. The final verdict---perhaps it was an off day for the crew? Maybe I'd stop back in. The prices were good, the food was decent, but the service left me wondering. Is it worth another trip back or not? The ingredients are free of preservatives, dyes and no high fructose corn syrup. We ordered two build your own pizzas. They were nothing short of amazing. Word of warning, the spicy marinara is hot! Got a carry out pizza and it was pretty good. To the guy who said this was cracker style crust idk what he's talking about. It's not similar to a cracker at all. Yes the edges of the crust are a bit crispy due to being woodfired but that's how it's supposed to be. The middle of the pizza has a soft chewy crust. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews and wanted to try so we went in on a Saturday around 6 pm. The place was really busy which was a good sign ( I thought ) As we sat in line 2 people left due to the wait. We got up to the counter and the girl let us know all about the menu. We ordered the green stripe which came with pesto drizzle over grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, chopped garlic, mozzarella, arugula. minus the arugula and some garlic pesto dough-knots. The order was put at 6:25 PM the knots came out about 7 min later and were not bad but did not stand out and did not have a dipping sauce which IMHO would have made them more enjoyable. 5min later I saw the pizza come out with about 7 others. There was one person matching orders to go and dine in. The orders were stacked on top of each other to the point that the person matching was clearly flustered. I waited patiently as he kept looking back and forth at the pizza and the orders. After at least 5 min I let him know which one was mine. By this time the pizza was warm. ( 7 PM ) He also failed to put any of the so-called "pesto driz" on the pie, I opted out for trying to get back up and let them know. The co ncept is cool, the recipes sound great the crust was crunchy as it should have been, the pie was meh. Will I return? maybe, maybe not. I could get a frozen pizza and have a similar experience. I would like to give a second chance though since everyone has off days. Overall not bad if you don't mind waiting for more than 30 min for a sub-par pie. Great location! The staff was so nice! One employee (I think the manager) had a sling on her arm was busting her butt. I really enjoyed my visit. They were super busy but the tables were cleaned quickly and there were plenty of places to sit because of their urgency to clean the tables. Decided to try this out on a Monday night. The place was busy, but we were able to move through quickly. Reminded me of Chipotle for pizza, but not quite as good. Pizza was OK, definitely not as good as a full fledged pizza restaurant, but good for a place who advertises speed as part of their name.
