Decided to try out Blaze, after it recently opened. I had heard good things, but was skeptical. Turns out I was pleasantly surprised with my experience and the quality of the pizza. The staff was friendly, explained the concept and prompt. The crew I was with ordered a BBQ chicken pizza and traditional pizza pie. Both of these were solid choices. The traditional pizza pie had a thicker crust and three kinds of cheese. The BBQ chicken was definitely my favorite, the combination of the blue cheese and sauce did the trick for my taste buds. Looka here looka here, this place has the sauce! I mean that literally, as well as figuratively. I've wanted to try Blaze Fast Fire'd Pizza for quite a while. My sons have been chomping at the bit to get in here. It's always so packed, opportunity was always few and far between due to crowd size. We stopped in last night, and I'm ever so glad we did. We walked in to small crowd, which allowed us a chance to view the menu board prior to ordering. We were immediately greeted by the gentleman on the dough press machine. He kindly explained to us the process and so the adventure began. We ordered 3 pizza's, all made to our individual specifications. The process from dough selection to ingredient placement is a little slow, In my unsolicited opinion, they need i additional person between dough and ingredient- one to take the dough from the press person and place it on the stone then handoff to the ingredient person Our pizza's came out relatively fast after ordering Our first bit was an immediate "this is good" second slice was "this is that- this is definitely that" (translates to- excellent). We were all please at the pizza as a whole, the freshness of the toppings, the sauce placement per our requests, and the overall taste. It was amazing and well done. We will be back. I'm no stranger to Blaze, being from Indianapolis where we've got one of our own. However, I had to stop in and try it at Ft.Wayne's first store that just opened this week. You can build you own pizza or select from one of their suggested pies. You can't go wrong with either option as the ingredients are fresh and the pies made to order. I opted for the BBQ chicken pizza, which comes with mozzarella, Gorgonzola, chicken, red onion, banana peppers and a BBQ drizzle. BBQ chicken is hands down my all time favorite pizza style, and this was quite the treat! The tangy Gorgonzola and sweet BBQ really complement each other well. My bf got the meat lovers and he said it was bomb. My coworker got a BYO with pepperoni, ham, and pineapple and he enjoyed his, too! Quality is good and price is right! read more

The most important part: the pizza was very good. I had the meat eaters special. There was not enough cheese to hold the meat on, and the pepperoni was laid on the outside of the pizza, With None in the middle. Getting in and out of the corner of Coldwater and coliseum is nothing short of dangerous and extremely difficult. The interior of the restaurant is extremely noisy, and we were unable to hold a conversation. They need some baffling in that ceiling. In order to make this a five star, they definitely need to put more toppings on, and put cheese towards the outside of the pizza, to help in holding the toppings that they lay out there. Super disappointed in Blaze the last couple of times we've ordered. Within the last two years, everything's gone downhill with a quickness. Minimal toppings (can't even find the cheese!), overcooked or undercooked, and somehow always cold when you open the box. This time, it even looks like we received someone else's pizza in a box with our order slip. These are not cheap pizzas, especially when you factor in a third-party delivery service. I went to Blaze for dinner this evening for the first time. I got the cauliflower crust, which I have had at other restaurants similar to Blaze, but Blaze burned the edges so badly that they had to cut them off. They told me that they would remake it for me if I wanted, but the line was fairly long, and I didn't want to wait in it again. They also burned my parents' pizzas with the regular crust. When we went to find a place to sit, there weren't any clean tables. We brushed the crumbs off and sat at a dirty table. The price is decent and the portion size is good. This place is amazing good staff, fresh food always, and if you can make a pizza that caters to specific tastes (I.E Kids) you win in my book! My kids two pizzas in the picture below. My daughters tastes are rather unique with pineapple, olives, sausage, pepperoni, and meatballs. Then my 4 year old son a plain mozzarella pizzas. 5 stars keep it up Blaze! Great to see Fort Wayne getting new things! For people complaining about service times, like any place that's new in Fort Wayne the first 3-4 months will be jammed packed. My husband and I went to this location the other day .. not the first time we have been here love blaze pizza high rise the best . Anyways we walk in there are four of us they have an oven guy and one guy on the line. As the customers come in the gentleman yells for help someone tells him there isn't anyone. We wait for about ten mins ( befor he can get to us out of no where four more employees walk from the back. At this point the workers ( besides the first gentleman on the line ) was acting like us customers were an inconvenience... as we're waiting for our food one of my pizzas comes out I ask the girl for a box for two of the four pizzas she looks at me and Ridley tells me we're low on boxes can't give you one use a half box. Idk if anyone has been to a blaze pizza befor but it's a medium size pizza you get for one person. Not one person can finish I can't finish half of it As I stand there my pizza comes out she decided to keep an attitude walked away left my pizza sit took a few orders answered the phone rang other ppl behind me up .... If my husband wouldn't of walked up she probably would of left me stand there longer. The BLT salad typically comes with gorgonzola cheese which seemed weird Only other option was mozzarella. Therefore, salad was subpar. Pizza was yummy. Hot, fresh and tailored to my preferences. Service was a bit overwhelming. Someone came to our table every 15 minutes which would typically be fantastic; however, at Blaze they don't refill drinks or anything like that so the check-ins felt more like interruptions since they didn't really serve a purpose. Seriously great pizza! Gluten-free crust tastes great and they are willing to change gloves before handling your food. They have great outdoor seating and pretty cool indoor options. That poor pizza was so skimpy and then burned but what made it worse was the manager that was SUPPOSE to be turning the pizza took out the burnt pizza then cut the burnt parts off and then said "Oh it's a little brown but not burnt!!!" We were the first customers on Tuesday. The pizza was delectable! The salad was savory! All the food choice containers were pristine. The servers were responsive and expert. Our only problem was the booth where we ate. The closing crew on Monday had not wiped down the tables or swept and mopped the floor. Then the opening crew on Tuesday had not checked and corrected that. So we felt a little begrimed siting in the midst of that. The pizza is oven fired and that is delicious but the location on Coliseum is the dirtiest, filthiest restaurant I've ever been inside. Workers cross contaminate the food by reaching into vegetable and cheese bins then switching between greasy meat without changing their gloves. I watched one worker squeeze out fresh spinach soaked in water like a wet sponge and slop it all over a pizza he was preparing. The same young man had unruly dreadlocks, not pulled back or covered and was observed leaning over the food. I've complained to the restaurant more than once and to corporate and they don't seem to care to take any feedback they purport appreciating. I will never ever eat here again. 3.5 Stars (YELP! Please allow half stars! LOL) It was a cool experience. Like the Chipotle of the pizza world. We opted to get one of their specialty pizzas. It was oh-kay. Nothing to write home about, but not the worst pizza I've ever had. They forgot the pesto drizzle they were supposed to do when it came out of the oven so they lost major points there. We also tried their dough knots and I would say dough not bother. They were lackluster and didn't even come with any dipping sauce. The ambiance is OK, too. Kind of noisy. The placement of the beverage station was bad thinking on their part because it's in the same area where the people stand to wait for their pizzas so it's kind of a cluster. They have giant windows that happed to face west so as the sun is setting it is BRIGHT so bring a pair of sunglesses if you're going around sunset. Would I go back? Sure. Am I in a rush to go back? Went to dine in, was told it would be 20-30 minutes before our pizzas would be started due to they were backed up with online orders. We decided we would get drinks and wait. Moved down to the register. 1 employee at the counter next to the register looked at us and ignored us. Another employee walked up to the register we were standing right in front of, started working on the register with the online orders and completely ignored us. This went on for several minutes. I told the person making the pizzas to cancel our orders and told her why. She said, "he didn't wait on you?" referring to the person at the register. Blaze is my go-to pizza place in Fort Wayne. I've stopped eating at Pizza Hut because I love Blaze pizza. The staff is always friendly and when I walk in several of them greet me by name and ask how I'm doing. I never have to wait long for my pizza and the staff makes me feel welcome. When I walk into Blaze I don't feel like I'm walking into a business, I feel like I'm meeting up with my friends because of the friendly atmosphere. Nobody laughs at me for not getting cheese on my pizza which I appreciate. I always seem to run into Jordan, Randolph, and Shannon. I don't think I've ever seen them without a smile on their faces and it kind of feels like we're family with how often I see them, as cheesy as it sounds. We tried Blaze for the first time last night. The place was crazy busy and so we waited in line for quite awhile. Thankfully, the pizzas were worth the wait. Basically, the concept of Blaze is like Subway but obviously pizza instead of a sandwich. They have specialty pizzas or you can build your own. Tons of fresh toppings, sauces, and cheeses to choose from, along with finishes such as arugula or balsamic. The pizzas are a thin crust, but GF and a thicker crust is available as well, and the dough is made fresh daily. One pizza is a good portion size for an adult. Salads and desserts were also on the menu. The pizzas had a great crispness to the crust and a wood fired taste with just the right amount of "char" on the crust. The staff was overwhelmingly busy but remained friendly, upbeat and informative. We will definitely return often! read more

The pizza is great, if you can wait. My wife and I have come here twice now and we really like the food but the wait makes it difficult. We came in around 2:30 the other day and waited in line for 55 minutes. This made it almost an hour and a half by the time we got you food and finished eating. Today we got here around 1:15 and it's 2:00 now and we are still in line. It's not that the line is that long, it just moves extremely slow. We are thinking about ordering online next time to save time but that takes away from the experience. Note to management: This would have been 5 stars if the wait wasn't so crazy. I would recommend trying to find away to get orders taken and prepared more quickly. The food is excellent and I plan on returning when I can. I walked into Blaze Pizza with no expectations and walked out eating my new favorite pizza in Fort Wayne... WOW! I had the Meat Eater personal pizza and it was made to perfection. OK so let's start this little experience of a recent early evening Friday visit. First off getting to the restaurant is very challenging because of being located at the corner of two of the busiest streets in town which means you can only turn in heading north on Coldwater Rd. or east on Coliseum Blvd. If you do manage to get in and they are even the slightest bit busy, parking will be a challenge and the design of the parking lot is very dangerous pulling in and then out of the parking spots. Best bet is to go past the restaurant and park in the larger attached shopping center parking lot and walk. Once inside it is very confusing what you need to do because you have people wandering around in all directions and there is no one from the place helping to guide people especially when the line is long. Once we managed to get inside, it took over an hour of waiting between getting through the line, ordering the pizza, paying our bill, waiting again for the pizza to be cooked, getting our drinks and then finding a place to sit. What happens is that people grab seats while another person waits in line to order - which is a good strategy, but creates confusion and chaos in the dining area. The drink area is stuffed in a corner in the same spot where people are heading to the bathroom and picking up their pizzas which creates even more of a traffic jam. Finally the restaurant is floor to ceiling glass windows so depending on what time you are there it creates wicked sun issues - even to the point that patrons were eating with their sunglasses on inside the place. Blinds anyone? Now the food. I'm not sure why anyone would order one of their signature pizzas which is the same price as creating your own. You can get every single topping including all of the cheeses, all of the meats, and all of the extras for the same price as a signature pizza that might only have one cheese, a couple of meats, and a veggie or two. Just order the create-your-own and have them put loads of cheeses and toppings for the same price. The salads are pre-made and during our visit were not kept up and did not look very appetizing. Drinks are about $2 bucks and they have Blue Sky brand options which is a nice touch. The pizza was very good, appreciated getting to try a beverage that you cannot get anywhere else, but the employees were not very friendly and appeared to be mostly confused about the process. One thing that I did notice was that some people skipped the line, grabbed a table, ordered online from their phones, and just went to the register and paid for a drink. That way you just sit and wait for the pizza to be made while you have a front row view of all of the chaos. i will admit that I enjoyed watching all of the people trying to figure this crazy place work through all of their growing pains because this location has just recently opened, but I'm thinking I will probably give them a little time before I go back so they can get some things figured out. Overall the concept is good, the food and drinks were outstanding, but I'm just not willing to wait and wait and wait when they're busy to order a create your own pizza. My best advice is wait until they get their staff trained a little better, get some blinds or something to cut down on the sun, and figure out how to get people through the line a little quicker so that folks can enjoy their food. I know that patience is a virtue, but my goodness there are just too many places to eat where one doesn't have to wait an hour in line to get something to eat. I was reading their menu and it says that they cook your pizza in about 180 seconds, but it takes 3600 seconds to actually order and eat it. read more
