Last night I went to Raimondos Pizza on West State Blvd. The line was out the door for well over an hour on and off, the phones were ringing like crazy, delivery drivers back and forth. They never missed a beat, never ignored a customer, always had a smile. This is what small, local businesses are all about. I love that the community supports them and others. Not to mention, they have the best pizza around and all their food is top notch. I couldn't recommend them enough. And the best part, the prices are more than fair. My son had a basketball game nearby and I did a quick search for restaurants in the area and Raimondos was only 1/2 mile away so we decided to give it a try. I've heard really good things about it from a Pizza Review FB page and now I know why! Unfortunately, we live about 45 minutes away or I would be back more often! Ordered 2 pan style pizzas to go! The white pizza was surprisingly bomb. The Raimondo's special was good too but I'm definitely ordering the white pizza again. Ambiance was a little hole in the wall but felt inviting. The service was great. Employees were very friendly. This was my first dine in experience. Raimondo's is located I a small strip mall. There is plenty of parking, easy access and decent signage. Upon arrival you need to order at the counter and find a table. This is a little confusing as there is no sign to tell you to order at the counter first. An employee has to monitor the door from the kitchen and catch you. They will give you a drink cup for self service. The lobby and dinning room are pretty plain, clean and in good repair. The decor is very simple as is the whole dinning experience. This really isn't a problem unless you are expecting something more. The main draw here is the food! We started with some breadsticks. They were soft, warm and slightly coated with a butter-garlic sauce. The bread is pretty plain...no significant defining taste (sweet or otherwise). The marinara sauce was thin and lacked a defining taste also. I suspect that it's the same sauce that they use on the pizza. I would prefer a stand alone sauce that really enhances the breadstick. We ordered a Raimondo's Special pizza. The pizza was PILED high with toppings! All of which were excellent!! The crust was fairly plain like the breadsticks. It was soft to crunch even on the edges where the crust looked over cooked. The bottom of the pizza has a darker baked appearance but it was not burnt or hard. The pizza sauce was hidden by all the toppings. It really didn't add or subtract to the taste. Overall...very good pizza at a pretty good price! Give them a try for dine in or carry out! read more

Consistently great food, with excellent deals. They have pizza, pasta, salads and sandwiches, and lots of appetizers. They are one of the few sit down pizza places left in Fort Wayne, and they're a local business. Highly recommend! read more

I went to this restaurant for an early supper. Ordered a sausage roll no changes to how it's made. When I ordered I decided to stay at the restaurant and eat it there. Ordered and sat down to wait with my drink. The waiting area wasn't dirty, but it wasn't clean either. I could see footprints on the floor seemed like it needed to be mopped better. Tables were clean. The food came. It didn't really look the best. It was cut in two and placed on a plate. The plate wasn't dirty... but it didn't seem clean either? Maybe it was the environment of the restaurant. Anyway I tried the food. It didn't really taste that good. The sausage had a strange texture and didn't taste right. I ate about half. I got up to talk to someone at the counter. There was nobody there. So I refilled my to go cup and left. I won't return. I won't recommend the place to anyone either. read more

We carried out from Raimondo's last night and I'm still amazed at how yummy everything was. I ordered a taco pizza which was one of the best taco pizzas I've ever had. The garlic bread with cheese had the perfect amount of cheese and the perfect amount of crisp. It wasn't soggy like many other places tends to be when you carry out. The grinder was really good. I would order it with light sauce, but that's more my personal preference. I also ordered a chicken club which didn't disappoint. I'll definitely be visiting this place again in the near future. Falsely advertised Large 1-Topping $7.79 Carryout Special on their website. Picked up my pizza and I was charged $8.89 + an extra $2.50 for the 1 topping (chicken) making the total $12.30. The person on the phone was rude and acted annoyed when I was ordering. In fact, I called twice and the phone was briefly answered then hung up, as if they purposely were avoiding fielding phone calls. Customer service was poor, food was decent.
