This is so cute and the numerous variations of chicken salad have all been tasty. You can get a scoop served with crackers, which is my favorite or a sandwich. There are numerous sides to choose from. Our favorites are the grape salad and the broccoli salad. There is a little cooler with items made for a grab and go. Drinks are extra and not included in the meal selections. It is located in a mall so there is ample parking, handicapped parking and easy entry and exit. The restroom has always been clean with signs identifying "Chicks" and cutely for men, "Chick Magnets". Always fresh and good food with very casual dining. The staff is helpful. read more

My mom and I are still raving about the incredible service we received at the Ft. Wayne Chicken Salad Chick a few days ago. Despite being busy, the crew members went out of their way to make our first visit a delightful experience! The staff member who took our order was very helpful in recommending two fruity chicken salad scoops for my mom and I. I love grapes and nuts in my chicken salad whereas she prefers cranberries for a more tart flavor. As it is a bit pricey, we only ordered one meal to share but the staff member recommended we get another scoop as our side and then added all the additional extras (cookies, crackers, and pickles) to that side scoop so we each had our own meals while only paying for one. Score! It helped that we also really liked out chicken salad :) The interior is cute and cottagecore, reminding me of my aunt's kitchen in the 90s. This was my first time here and I loved it! I have to admit I have a bias toward chicken salad, egg salad and pimento cheese sandwiches. The Chicken Salad Chick didn't let me down. The facility is large and nicely decorated. The soft picnic style colors pull you in and make you feel welcome. Upon arrival you have to go to the counter and order from the menu board. This can be a little intimidating for a first time dinner. However the menu is simple and everything is delicious! I thought the prices for a specialty chicken salad sandwich was very reasonable as well. My wife have the fruit & nut chicken salad atop a bed of lettuce. She loved the fresh tastes of the lettuce and the chicken salad. The chicken salad had a mild taste of fruit and nuts. I had to hint for the taste a bit more than I thought I would. However the flavors are very complimentary and tasty. I had the chicken salad sandwich. I found the chicken salad to be very smooth and creamy. It was mayo based but the Mayo didn't dominate the taste. The chicken was cut into fine particles so the salad was very smooth and homogenous in texture. I really liked the pasta salad. It had your traditional zesty Italian look and taste. It had some zip due to the dressing which complimented the sandwich well. The Mac & Cheese tasted a bit institutionalized to me. It had a bold cheese taste and was very creamy. However it kind of reminds you of something that you got at a cafeteria. It was good...just not as gourmet as I expected. Five stars for me! This is a brand new restaurant in the Fort Wayne area that offers a fresh take on chicken salad. Unlike the tubs of chicken salad you see at the supermarket, they have a variety of different options whether it be sweet or savory. You can get it as a scoop with crackers or on a sandwich. Since it was a soft opening, ordering was slightly complicated at first but the employees were very patience and also accurate with taking the orders. The standard meal comes with a side which you can chose either a soup or other items such as Mac and cheese. If you upgrade to the trio you can get an additional item. I found the fancy Nancy to have plenty of chicken along with grapes, pecan, and Fuji apple. I wish it was a little sweeter but this is probably healthier the way it is. The potato soup came out nice and hot with the right consistency. It was not too salty either. For my side I selected the Mac and cheese. It was very creamy and did not taste like it came from out of the box. Overall this is a great place as a healthy lunch alternative to the many fast food options around town. read more

What a refreshing additional choice to go to besides McAlester's and Panera Bread. My wife and I thought it was better than both but we need to keep both the others just to not get bored of Chicken Salad chick. This would be a good to go place since nothing is warm that way know of. They have a lot of chicken salad choices. Living Local 15 demoed the choices. I went with the jalapeño chicken salad. It was very good. My wife's was good but we don't remember the name. It was the one below original. You can get these as a scoop which I did or a sandwich which my wife did. Looked like you get more of you choose sandwich. The sides are also good. The grape salad was sweet and very good. The broccoli salad was very good. I also had a Florentine soup which was good. We look forward to adding this to our McAlester's and Panera Bread rotation. Free cookie and pickle as well. read more

I love this restaurant but they need to permanently adjust their hours. I have now gone there three times after 4pm, and EVERY TIME, there has been a sign posted on the door that they will be "closing at 4pm each day this week." I have gone during different weeks/days, and every time, this sign is on the door. I drive across town to eat here and have been incredibly disappointed each of these times. If you're no longer going to be open in the evenings, then permanently adjust the hours and publicize the correct hours well. read more

I've been twice in the last week and very little prepackaged salad is available so you have to wait in a long line and then your order goes in with everyone else's and then they fill the tub of takeout for you. I used Uber Eats to place an order with Chicken Salad Chick before noon. Our order wasn't delivered until one fifty. When the Uber drive arrived at one ten they hadn't even started getting our order ready. He made them aware he was on a time schedule and they didn't seem to care. For me it seemed like more sandwich spread than Chicken salad. I might even go as far as to say it was the salad without the chicken. The croissant was very good. After all the rave and suggestions from people to try the chicken salad chick I decided to have lunch there. They do have several options that sound really good and also have a small cooler with takeout chicken salad which is what I did. I chose the jalapeño chicken salad. It was $12.99 but I was able to eat on it for several days. It did have a nice flavor But nothing to get too excited about. I may go back and try another one of their chicken salads but I really wasn't all that impressed. I think that it was over priced but probably not any more than what most restaurants are charging nowadays. Seems like it's getting more and more expensive to eat Under $15 for lunch. read more

I was visiting out of town for work and I had an amazing experience today thanks to your cashier Niah. Being that it was my first time in and ever trying chicken salad chick, which I brought to her attention, she kindly handed me a paper menu and told me all about the 'common meal' that everybody seems to get. Ms. Niah also recommended to me some flavors that are her favorites so far, along with proceeding to get some samples for me to try. (The sassy Scotty, buffalo, & Barbie-q). I absolutely loved the sassy Scotty! Along with all of this, she was super sweet & patient with me which I really appreciate because some cashiers just want you out of their line asap. Okay, this place was yum. I had the chicken salad with onions (6 different choices and taste testing is allowed!) and the broccoli salad. Seasoning was wonderful and the chicken was moist and the broccoli was prefect - not too under or over cooked and not huge florets. Thumbs up! read more
