I'm gonna try to give the benefit of the doubt and admit that it's hard to find the driven workers especially in this industry. This location is absolutely terrible at managing online orders. I placed my order 20 minutes before going into the store. Got to the store and waited 45 minutes. Be very careful if you go to place an online order at this specific location during lunch. Wow! Okay, first I want to say how surprised I was when I walked into this location. This is a good review, I promise. I hadn't been back since last year. For many reasons, but most of all, bc the service was absolutely awful. NOW, under new ownership and management, JM's was almost unrecognizable! It was SO CLEAN! I almost thought they did a renovation and even asked! They said, a lot of cleaning goes a long way! I was greeted with the most kind staff and with beautiful smiles. The chips and cookies were fully stocked with so many different options! This was all a shock to me, only bc the last time I actually set foot in this location, the place was so filthy. No one said hi, they were so so rude and they had ONE bag of chips on the chip shelf. It was crazy. Now, I'm looking forward to going back to my weekly visits. Our family loves Jersey Mike's! I couldn't wait to get home to tell my husband about it. I actually left with the biggest smile on my face. I know, I know, it's a chain sammich shop, how could it be THAT good? I promise you, it was SUCH a nice, quick experience. I couldn't help but tell the staff how excited I was, bc I really was! Most importantly, they were incredibly kind to me. GREAT experience. I would love to like Jersey Mike's as much as my boyfriend does, but I love club sandwiches and on the club the bacon is always horribly burnt!! It's so burnt that it disintegrates into black, brittle, rock-hard bits and ruins the whole sandwich...and actually hurts my teeth trying to chew it. I prefer the bread and vinegar over Jimmy John's, but the bacon makes it so I have to go back to Jimmy John's for now. Please update if you decide to stop serving burnt bacon. Apparently my Mom was "annoying" when she stopped by DURING BUSINESS HOURS and the door was locked, so she knocked. Heaven forbid. Staff tried to close twenty minutes early while myself and 3 other people were going in. They turned the lights off and everything and then came and opened the door. There was a young man who was clearly upset that we came in when they were twenty minutes to close. I would understand if it was ten minutes before but he was awful to everyone that came in other than two gentlemen who worked there that came in and got food. The young lady working was fine and the gentleman working the grill was fine. But the young man making sandwiches was rude, slammed things around and was sure to tell every person that they needed to leave at 7 and was very short with everyone. Sad, considering the restaurant industry is also on the decline and then owners and franchisees have employees who turn people away from the businesses due to a bad attitude. read more

We have been customers since this location opened. Used to be a clean prompt location until our last two visits. Ordered ahead on line for a sandwich tonight. Ready at 7:08 it said. Got there at 7:20 and my order was not where you pick up your take out order. No greeting when I came in asking if I was picking up or ordering. He was making an order for a difficult customer so I gave him slack and waited. Finally the customer wanted bacon on her order but he told her they needed to make some. Finally I'm asked what I wanted to order. I said I have a pre ordered sandwich. He goes to the printer and I see they never looked at it. I eat here about once a week when I am working in Fort Wayne. I really have no complaints about the food or the people that work there, but this place is always understaffed. I have limited time for lunch and if there are more than 4 people in the sandwich line, prepare to wait at least 15 minutes to get through. There are only ever two employees working. Just a few minutes ago, I had to abandon ship and go somewhere else because the workers were preparing a huge order while the line just kept getting longer and longer. I feel bad for the employees. I went there for lunch yesterday to give them a try out. I had their classic Philly sandwich. The quality was there but I thought the price might've been a bit steep for a just a small sandwich. You can pay the same amount at Penn Station and also have enough for a small fry, and a drink. The lines can also be an issue but, this place JUST opened so it's understandable.
