I love this pizza! My kids love the pepperoni and I like how I can create my own pizza, since I have a lot of restrictions. Always fresh and hot when picking up to go. Good pizza and salad options, however the staff is not always very nice. They can be quite rude and huffy. They ran out of forks today and I asked 'how am I supposed to eat my salad?' So we go into this place, first time we ate indoors since Covid. I soon realized, this pizza joint is similar if not identical to Pieology. I'm like jus great. This has been my go-to almost every week for the past several months. I love I can get no-contact delivery or go and get curbside pick up. We do a Pizza Night once a week and they make that super easy. My kids are always excited for Pizza Night (something to look forward to in the week). Blaze gets a 4 star rating because while it is delicious, it is chain with many young employees who sometimes struggle through getting you your pizza. The pizzas are all really good and the amount of toppings you get for the price make it a really good deal. I specifically like The Red Vine (margarita) with some added toppings including pepperoni and roasted garlic. Additional toppings or extra of a topping don't have an extra charge. Their drinks, especially a custom combo of Lemonade and Passion Fruit Agua Fresca, are great. Sometimes the line gets a little long. It's a chain and it is owned in part by LeBron (not the best basketball player of all time) James. Blaze does have vegan cheese but not as many gluten free options or fake meat protein. This review is written as restaurants are now open, but Covid rules are still in place. I went to dine in here today and I am not sure they are really handling everything appropriately. I was informed at the register that the soda fountain was closed due to common area safety restrictions. That seems odd because every other restaurant I have been to has the soda fountain open. The employee said we could purchase a bottle of soda which was $2.95. That seems double of what any bottle of soda sells for elsewhere. I opted to just have a cup of water then and was told they don't have cups for us to have water due to the health concerns. I'm not sure how a restaurant can deny a customer water? From what I have seen, I think most restaurants are offering disposable water cups. Then we tried washing our hands before eating and the bathrooms were out of soap. We informed the employee. And tried again to wash our hands again before leaving and the bathrooms were still out of soap! At least 40 minutes and no one could refill them?!? Second time into this establishment and I am impressed! I have been to a few other blaze pizza's and I found them to be messy and unorganized. However, this one has changed my perception! We came in around 5 o'clock on the dot and there was hardly anybody inside. The place was spotless, floors were shiny, they were ready for the rush! My kids got their usual a plain cheese and then a pepperoni pizza. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a keto option crust. I got the keto crust with the white pizza (the one with Alfredo sauce and bacon and arugula it's super yummy). This was my first time trying a commercialized keto pizza and it actually tasted really good! The crust was crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle just like a normal pizza crust. There is a four dollar up charge for the keto crust just so you know. We ordered and got our food within 15 minutes and then we got to set back and watch the rush come in. The staff was very friendly and they handled the line with ease. Like I said I've watched other blaze pizzas become a disorganized mess with the rush so this was awesome! My kids were having fun watching how quickly the guy would make them! Even in the midst of the dinner rush I saw the cashier run from behind the counter and clean tables for the new guests to use. Pizza here is soooo good!!! Build your own is our favorite with the pesto sauce and chicken. Thin style pizza that's cooked quickly! Their soft drinks they offer are better then most. They have the "Blue Sky" fountain drinks which is nice because that's the first place I've seen that offers those. My grandson and I went to Blaze pizza in Clovis Ca on Thursday June 6 for dinner. We were the only ones in line ordering our pizza. There was one man and his 2 kids that were waiting for their pizza to get out of the oven. I was at the register trying to log into my Blaze account so I could get points. I was looking for my info when my grandson asked me a question. I was getting my money out to pay and Naomi, the gal at the register says in a very fast way .... the price is, do you want drinks, what size, are you paying with card or cash and is that all you want? I look at her and said, "You don't need to rush me. I'm answering my grandson (he's 7 and was telling me he had to go potty) and I'm the only one with him. It's not like there's a ton of people waiting for me to get my money out." As I'm saying this she turns to the guy taking the pizzas out of the oven, and laughed at my comment. I asked Naomi why are you looking at him laughing at what I said. I don't think I said anything funny. I never got to use my Blaze card for points but that not the point. Since when is it okay the customers get treated so rude and disrespectful? I was trying to move as fast as I possible could but didn't think I needed to rush. How can you run a business by refusing to take phone calls from customers?! They don't take phone orders, you can only order in person or through their useless app. There is no way to order extra of any topping and no way to add any comments like if you are vegan or have allergies The girl who was working behind the counter making pizzas on Nov. 16th at 5PM was so stingy with everything. I got tired of asking for more of everything and waiting while she took most of the toppings and ripped them up into tiny little pieces before putting them on my pizza. She was soooo slooowwww a snail could've made my pizza faster. The roasted garlic & pepperoni were the only toppings she didn't rip up. Not only does the Keto crust cost $4 extra, it is also 1 inch less than all the other crusts. So I was mad that they burnt part of my pizza, including all of the crust! I had to take off & throw the burnt parts away. Due to the fact the girl ripped up most of the toppings into tiny pieces including the ricotta cheese, Instead of bursting with flavor like it usually is, my pizza lacked flavor and I had a hard time even realizing some of the toppings were on there. I couldn't taste any of the ricotta or even find any of it on the pizza, I couldn't taste the artichoke since it was pulled apart into pieces of each individual leaf, etc. Until now I've enjoyed every Blaze pizza I've eaten. I'm willing to pay more for premium ingredients when I order food, but not when it's made so badly I can't even enjoy it! Had I realized it was this bad I would've asked them to make it over, but I didn't know until I got home and ate it. I couldn't go back to the store & when I called, no one answered the phone. Their recorded message tells you no one will answer and then they give you the option of waiting for someone to answer even though no one will pick up. I let the phone ring 30x, not surprisingly no one answered. I will be ordering CPK or Pizza Hut from now on if I want delivery. I also will go elsewhere if I go to this location and the same girl is making the pizzas. All my other experiences have been 4-5 stars at this Blaze Pizza location. Too bad this one employee and the fact they never answer the phone and the app is too subpar to order from has ruined my image of Blaze Pizza.
