Hungry Howie's Pizza - Cheese pizza with onion topping, Italian herb flavored crust and delicious. - Pizza Near Me - Clovis, California

Pizzas are super greasy . I think if there pizzas were not so greasy then it would be great pizza.

We like this pizza so much that we ate half of it on the drive home. The hot honey is absolutely incredible. Pizza was made in less time than promised. All was good about this visit. read more

very pleased with the pizza I ordered. Used an online coupon for a pizza with a ton of cupped pepperonis that had a perfect crisp to them, finished off with some butter and cajun seasoning on the crust. super delicious pizza! Friendly and fast service at the counter. read more

I thought I found a good pizza place. Pizza is good. But going in last month was the rudest encounter I've had at a pizza place. Or any fast food place really. Not acceptable. They need to get customer service down. First would out of their mouths should be "hello, welcome to Hungry Howies". But no, Counter person was rude. Not what I was expecting on a hot 105 degree day. I pointed out that I could not come back. Counter person said "do what you gotta do". So I will. This place is an avoid for me. We shouldn't have to tolerate attitude. So many other good choices in the area. Me&Ed's a block away. Marcos and goodguys up willow. I buy lots of pizza. I'll go there :( read more

This is the second time I have had Hungry Howie's pizza as I have never heard of them, until I lived in Clovis, Ca. This location is walking distance from the apartment I live at. There was a time I was not feeling well and decided not to go with my dude to get the pizza but I called it in around December 2019. The second time was within the last two weeks of March 2020. I went with the dude to walk to get the pizza. We called it in and walked over less than a 5 minute walk in both directions. When we entered the staff was very friendly. Inside there is limited seating inside for two people to sit, the rest will have to stand. When we came in it wasn't busy but people came to pick uptheir orders. Before trying this pizza place I never use to see this pizza place busy, when I would come home for lunch, finished with my work day, I always past it. It would always look dead which worries me we they not be in business too long but now that I work from home I haven't seen if business has picked up or not. But I must say the flavor crust is delicious and you can even make it double stuff crust too!!! The ingredients are fresh and the pizza is very tasty. Is is almost up there with my favorite pizza places like Round Table without the high price. Overall, I recommend this pizza place, any creation you make will be flavorful! read more

The pizza is not very good. Haven't had this pizza in a very long time and it tasted like dough with toppings. The place is very dirty and makes you feel like you need to wash your clothes as soon as you get home. I would say it's a step down from little caesars. I bought the pizza yesterday, and today the ham looks like it's turning a greenish, grey color. I wouldn't recommend this place. Get little caesars or just buy a red Barron pizza from Walmart. read more

Pizza is good. Crust is amazing. Better then little Cesar's. Service is great food was ready in time.

This place is so good and my order only came out to 21.21 for breadsticks and pizza it actually slapped my taste buds

As soon as I called to ask why I got a cheese-only pizza and not a pepperoni pizza, the owner got very aggressive for no reason. He was telling me its on my receipt so i checked. Regardless of whether the pizza was right or wrong, someone like this doesn't need to act hostile. It didn't say no pepperoni, but just wanted the pizza cooked. After I said it didn't say anything, he said sorry buddy, that's how it was. He hung up, never going to the same location again. Need to check these owners. There was no need for this to be this way at all. I didn't like how he talked and acted the way he wanted without any way to explain from the start that he wasn't interested in talking and I even had to tell him to calm down. I don't think a random person would leave a comment on a hungry howies review unless they knew it was there, so I assume the comment was left by one of his workers. Kinda funny how you can make workers respond like a little g on the internet read more

They have FRESH pizza and that always is worth the wait. They have a variety of flavor crust but I love their sesame crust. Price is good and pizza is on point. Always pick up not delivery. read more

I am so impressed with your quality salad and pizza for delivery. The seasoned crusted pizza was too salty for me, but tonight I ordered the un-seasoned mushroom pizza, and it was so good! The customer service was awesome too read more

Well they asked me to contact them. I did yet AGAIN. We'll see. All I want is my money back.

Excellent pizza with their unique flavored crust My favorite is the Cajun crust and butter cheese read more

Hard time ordering Online so I wasted 20 minutes trying to do that, and had to phone in my order. Then my husband went to pick it up and they wouldn't accept his debit card, which was upsetting because We had already spent quite a bit of time dealing with ordering it in the 1st place. So the man working threatened my husband. From behind the counter he yelled he was gonna kick his ass. I called to question them about it and ask them why they wouldn't accept debit cards and it is said it was against their policy. During the pandemic we should go a bit easy on our customers as far as I'm concerned. And this experience was very stressful and we won't be going back to hungry howies ever again. read more

Awwe man the owner has said his goodbyes. And left his SON.... lol love him happy hungry howies everybody!

I had ordered a delivery it was quick however the pizza was almost burnt I didn't ask for well done either I also got sick off of it. Never again will I order from here again read more

I made a pick up order and it said my order would be done in 20 minutes and that they would email me.. 35 minutes gone by I didn't receive anything notifying me that my pizza was done. I had to go down and ask them about my order. The guy (with no mask) that gave me my order wasn't very friendly. He asked for my ID in a rude way and just handed me my order and didn't say bye or thank you. Let's hope the pizza is good. read more

No longer offers customer appreciation day, beat the clock, or any of their promotions at all that they've been doing for years. Still better than Little Caesar's and DaVinci's- but now it's priced itself in a weird position. They're $2-3 more than LC's and DaV's, or you could pay $2-3 dollars more still for a 3 topping pizza $10 large at several other spots in town. I would make the compromise sometimes to save $5-6 on a pizza for one of these in the past, but now if I'm only saving $2-3- fuck it, who cares? The place no longer serves its niche it once did so well- too bad. read more

Our fortnightly RPG group has used this place for late-night pizza delivery for more than five years and not once have had a problem. We call, tell them to bring us what we ordered last time, and 45 minutes later we're digging in to hot, greasy, cheesy goodness. There's higher-quality pizza out there, obviously, but we've never, ever had a complaint about Hungry Howie's, so why bother going somewhere else? read more

Never ordering from here again. I was busy and ordered online so that my wife could pick up. When she went there, they said I needed to be there. I called to see if there was anything that could be done since I was in the middle of something and could not go. They said no, I had to stop what I was doing and drive there after my wife had already went and pick up old pizza. Terrible service read more

Ordered Online for delivery it's been over 45 minutes, still has not arrived. Called and said it was going to take 20 more minutes. I usually do pick up orders and never had a problem. But Delivery sucks!! Yayyy for my free pizza off of my rewards! read more

Had the most delicious pizza today. Nice crispy evenly portioned bacon, crispy, juicy, saucy wings. Great customer service as well. This location is further from our house but it's worth the drive!!!!!! read more

They always put a shit load of toppings on the pizza. Customer service is much better now. (1-17-14) Sadly price has gone up, but if you're a value member and know about their deals, they MIGHT give you that price. 7.99 for three topping for pickup is ok for average pizza. this is for pick up only though. Delivery prices are garbage. always ask for coupons after you order pizza here because that's where the best price are at. Most employee here has step it up. Much Better! Besides the kitchen girl ... everyone seems kool. there are very few great special coupons left. gotta do your hw though. read more

I order my mom pizza and brownies for dinner tonight. It was a surprise for her. Delivery was quicker then expacted showen online. My mom said that delivery guy was very sweet made sure she knew it was from me because she told him wrong door. Lol Then he said "hope you enjoy it." Great customer service. I am very pleased and the food she said was very delicious. You made my mom smile so thank you for providing great food and great customer service. Please make sure to praise the delivery man :). read more

First time trying this place and the pizza was pretty good and the buffalo wing sauce was amazing . Only reason for 4 starts is the lack of communication about pickup . Ordered and paid online then send my bf to pickup but since I paid under my name they refused to let him pickup. Told him they needed an id to match the name . So he goes back and then they say the need to match the id to me. So luckily we live close because if we didn't I would been pretty upset. I get the purpose of the policy but they could've just called me or something instead of having us drive back n forth . Other than that I was impressed by the food read more

Great customer service. The owner is usually there and takes a lot of pride in making sure each customer is happy. Best place in town for a responsibly priced pizza. read more

Food was good but that's not what I'm concerned about. You require us customers to wear masks in your store to protect you and your employees? I'm totally fine with that. What I'm not fine with is that you and your staff can't have the same respect for your customers and wear a damn mask! Will not be buying any type of food from them again. read more

I have cancer hot stuff really burns my mouth. I asked for wings with BBQ and that is not spicy. But the guy says he didn't make a mistake. The sausage fire hot and not barbecue. It would be nice. Or let people know that all the wings are very hot and none are mild. I finally did get my money back after 4 trips and over an hour. read more

I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and bread on line. Delivery was on time. However, they delivered a cheese pizza rather than a pepperoni pizza. read more

I ordered via yelp and was suppose to arrive in 30-45 minutes. hours later and still nothing, I reported to yelp and haven't received reply since. So my bill came to be $14. At the time I figured I wasn't charged. So I didn't need to deposit money in my bank. 2 days later I find a $14 fee and $35 overcharge. Never ordering from this place or even use yelp. read more

This is the worst organization I've ever dealt with! The website is awful! Couldn't navigate the website so I called this location to honor the deal they offered me by email. So I called this location to honor the deal they offered. The employee said I can only get the deal online. I told him I couldn't make the order online and told him can he still honor it. He said no, only online! So I ordered Dominos on Shaw by phone on their online deal and called them. They honored it by phone!!! Thanks Dominos!!! No more Hungry Howie!!! read more

There pizza is good but the guy that took my order over the phone was really rude and seemed like he was annoyed with me for even calling. Then he asks what flavor crust I want for my pizza and then when I get the pizza there was no flavor at all :( read more

Never got my food. The driver called to tell me he had pulled up to the hotel and he would be right up. I called him back ten minutes later asking where he was and he said he had to step outside for a moment and he would be right up. I called the restaurant 10 minutes later and canceled the order. They did not seem to care that the driver was not doing his job. Very poor customer service. read more

Definitely the best local pizza I have had since I moved to the Central Valley. The crust was absolutely amazing and it came faster than they said it would be there. Honestly I would wait much longer for a pizza this good. The perfect amount of toppings and the sauce was great. Thank you so much for the recommendation from the staff at Jimbos. If you want hot and ready garbage go somewhere else! If you want a great pizza call them! read more

They are fun, sociable, caring, and give you tons of options! Especially for your crust! Loooooove them!

Terrible customer service. The employee on duty was extremely rude and not very bright. Will never go back.
