This is the second time I have had Hungry Howie's pizza as I have never heard of them, until I lived in Clovis, Ca. This location is walking distance from the apartment I live at. There was a time I was not feeling well and decided not to go with my dude to get the pizza but I called it in around December 2019. The second time was within the last two weeks of March 2020. I went with the dude to walk to get the pizza. We called it in and walked over less than a 5 minute walk in both directions. When we entered the staff was very friendly. Inside there is limited seating inside for two people to sit, the rest will have to stand. When we came in it wasn't busy but people came to pick uptheir orders. Before trying this pizza place I never use to see this pizza place busy, when I would come home for lunch, finished with my work day, I always past it. It would always look dead which worries me we they not be in business too long but now that I work from home I haven't seen if business has picked up or not. But I must say the flavor crust is delicious and you can even make it double stuff crust too!!! The ingredients are fresh and the pizza is very tasty. Is is almost up there with my favorite pizza places like Round Table without the high price. Overall, I recommend this pizza place, any creation you make will be flavorful! read more

The pizza is not very good. Haven't had this pizza in a very long time and it tasted like dough with toppings. The place is very dirty and makes you feel like you need to wash your clothes as soon as you get home. I would say it's a step down from little caesars. I bought the pizza yesterday, and today the ham looks like it's turning a greenish, grey color. I wouldn't recommend this place. Get little caesars or just buy a red Barron pizza from Walmart. read more

As soon as I called to ask why I got a cheese-only pizza and not a pepperoni pizza, the owner got very aggressive for no reason. He was telling me its on my receipt so i checked. Regardless of whether the pizza was right or wrong, someone like this doesn't need to act hostile. It didn't say no pepperoni, but just wanted the pizza cooked. After I said it didn't say anything, he said sorry buddy, that's how it was. He hung up, never going to the same location again. Need to check these owners. There was no need for this to be this way at all. I didn't like how he talked and acted the way he wanted without any way to explain from the start that he wasn't interested in talking and I even had to tell him to calm down. Hard time ordering Online so I wasted 20 minutes trying to do that, and had to phone in my order. Then my husband went to pick it up and they wouldn't accept his debit card, which was upsetting because We had already spent quite a bit of time dealing with ordering it in the 1st place. So the man working threatened my husband. From behind the counter he yelled he was gonna kick his ass. I called to question them about it and ask them why they wouldn't accept debit cards and it is said it was against their policy. I had to go down and ask them about my order. The guy (with no mask) that gave me my order wasn't very friendly. No longer offers customer appreciation day, beat the clock, or any of their promotions at all that they've been doing for years. Still better than Little Caesar's and DaVinci's- but now it's priced itself in a weird position. They're $2-3 more than LC's and DaV's, or you could pay $2-3 dollars more still for a 3 topping pizza $10 large at several other spots in town. I would make the compromise sometimes to save $5-6 on a pizza for one of these in the past, but now if I'm only saving $2-3- fuck it, who cares? Our fortnightly RPG group has used this place for late-night pizza delivery for more than five years and not once have had a problem. We call, tell them to bring us what we ordered last time, and 45 minutes later we're digging in to hot, greasy, cheesy goodness. They always put a shit load of toppings on the pizza. Customer service is much better now. (1-17-14) Sadly price has gone up, but if you're a value member and know about their deals, they MIGHT give you that price. 7.99 for three topping for pickup is ok for average pizza. this is for pick up only though. Delivery prices are garbage. always ask for coupons after you order pizza here because that's where the best price are at. Most employee here has step it up. Much Better! Never got my food. The driver called to tell me he had pulled up to the hotel and he would be right up. I called him back ten minutes later asking where he was and he said he had to step outside for a moment and he would be right up. I called the restaurant 10 minutes later and canceled the order.
