Our pizza so good! It has bacon on it!
    Angie R.

This is the second time I have had Hungry Howie's pizza as I have never heard of them, until I lived in Clovis, Ca. This location is walking distance from the apartment I live at. There was a time I was not feeling well and decided not to go with my dude to get the pizza but I called it in around December 2019. The second time was within the last two weeks of March 2020. I went with the dude to walk to get the pizza. We called it in and walked over less than a 5 minute walk in both directions. When we entered the staff was very friendly. Inside there is limited seating inside for two people to sit, the rest will have to stand. When we came in it wasn't busy but people came to pick uptheir orders. Before trying this pizza place I never use to see this pizza place busy, when I would come home for lunch, finished with my work day, I always past it. It would always look dead which worries me we they not be in business too long but now that I work from home I haven't seen if business has picked up or not. But I must say the flavor crust is delicious and you can even make it double stuff crust too!!! The ingredients are fresh and the pizza is very tasty. Is is almost up there with my favorite pizza places like Round Table without the high price. Overall, I recommend this pizza place, any creation you make will be flavorful!

Pizza is affordable with high prices everywhere for pizza now a days. The ranch crust and paremesan are my favorite.

The prices are really good for what you get and the quality of the food was above average as well. I wish they had online ordering outside of 3rd party apps that gouge the restaurant, the consumer, and the delivery driver but otherwise I could easily see myself grabbing a work lunch here. I just have to make sure I give myself enough time to call ahead and take the time to pay in restaurant. Overall, really good sandwiches and sides, good prices, just an old fashioned ordering system that you have to plan around.

I decided to come back today and give it another try. Today , I went with a turkey and salami combo on a wheat roll. Ok , we have a winner! That wheat roll managed to stay soft -yet sturdy enough to hold up to all the toppings. I get my sandwich with light mayo and light mustard , lettuce , tomato and wax peppers You can also add a variety of other toppings if you prefer. My sandwich today was a 5 star sandwich, but I am going to hold my 5th star back until I can try their burgers. For now, my rating stands at 4 stars , and I am now excited to come back and try more menu items! For a medium sandwich, chips and drink it was a little over $13.00 .

Lots of portion for a medium and it tasted AMAZING. All kinds of meat was provided as you can see in the picture. I ONLY added lemon and jalapeños to the broth that's how good it is. I dipped the meat separately in the chili oil and hoisin sauce. This is my new favorite local place and I live in MADERA. Yes I door dashed that ISH from Clovis to Madera. The sandwhich was also good. Sweet with pork belly. Bread was toasted yet still soft. I would order it all again. Very good Resteraunt. I'm kind of hard on Resteraunts but I'm giving this a 5/5 PS: Open a pho Resteraunt in RIVERSTONE in Madera. You have hella rich people there and ZERO pho competition. You would have all the RIVERSTONE and TESORO VIEJO people flocking to your place.

I only tried their BBQ pork banh mi, and while it looked promising, it wasn't quite what I expected. BBQ PORK - BAHN MI ($9.75) :: The pate was salty and overpowered the whole sandwhich. The pork itself tasted a bit gamey, lacked of flavor, and seemed slightly stale. The breading didn't give that nice flaky crunch. I personally think that it's a bit pricey for this size too. The sandwhich is long and small; it's not worth for what you paid for. RATE: 1/5 FRENCH FRIES ($5.50) :: Their fries is pretty good. I love the coating on the fries. It gives that nice crispy crunch. There's nothing special here. It just taste like regular fries. The amount that they give you is definetly bang for the bucks. RATE : 5/5 SERVICE :: Love their service but not the wait time. It was pretty empty in there but it took them a good 15 minute to finish my order. RATE : 2/5 Overall, the shop has a lot of charm, but the bahn mi just didn't hit the mark for me personally. Don't forget to grab their fries, it's great for the snacks. I would definitely come back to try their other dishes. The only reason that is holding me back a bit is their priceing is just a bit pricey from anywhere else though.

Happy Mother's Day dinner for me!…read more In case you don't know Dosan has changed it up....for the better! In my opinion I loved the soup and salad bar, But.....the new high end plated meals are AMAZING! The seasonings are perfect! The veggies cooked perfect, the garlic mashers, so yummy! Make sure you the menus carefully we order extra sides we didn't need. Everything is competitively priced for the area, cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is still friendly and welcoming. The chef came out to our table to make sure everything was good. We had fire shrimp appetizer, crusted salmon, with mashed garlic potatoes, veggie medley and rice with a side of salad. I can't wait for my next trip I want to try the ribeye steak with veggie medley, and garlic mashers! Sounds perfect ! Happy eating in Clovis

I mourn Sweet Tomatoes regularly because where can you find a good salad bar these days? We were told they discontinued the buffet because they weren't getting enough business to sustain it and had to throw away a lot of food. The inside is beautifully decorated, but it was empty when we arrived at 1pm on a Saturday so it felt a little weird. A few more groups did come in after us though so we weren't completely alone. One party left upon hearing there was no salad bar. There was only one worker acting as host, waiter and busser, which I assume is due to lack of business. It took us an hour to get our entrees due to the added wait time of only one worker taking orders. His handheld machine used to taking orders also stopped working halfway through and he had to write done the rest of the orders. Then he came back and found out none of the digital orders went through and had to retake half of our orders. He told us they hired a new chef from out of town and are putting the finishing touches on a new menu with a grand opening soon. This building has been home to several different restaurants over the years and despite what I think is a good location, I fear it could be cursed. The food was good and I enjoyed my meal. I hope their future plans work out and they are able to stay open.

After reviewing the menu selection, it felt like I was waiting for a while just for a staff member to acknowledge us. Instead, the workers were standing with their backs to us , and left us standing there for a while. In fact , I was so confused I was looking around for a kiosk to order my food. The next thing that I didn't like was the price of our lunch. 45.00 for one sandwich , two small cups of soup , two fountain drinks , and a dessert. Seems pricey for a sandwich spot. I get it - this is a step up from Subway. However, for what I spent - I expected more. Finally, the dining room tables were grimy. I had to clean off our own table before the food arrived. I felt like this was inexcusable considering the amount of staff standing around not doing much. Here is what I did like. The menu has a nice variety of hot or cold sandwiches, sides , and desserts. Everything sounded so good. Today, I opted for the Monterey chicken sandwich. While the flavor was good, it ate a little messy. I had chicken pieces falling out and cheese oozing out of the bottom. I don't think I would order this again- there appears to be better options to choose from. The baked potato soup was really good ( salty but delicious)! Hands down , the best thing we tried was Gary's chocolate cake. That cream cheese frosting was heavenly! Heads up- this cake is super sweet ,and a little goes a long way. Feel free to share this dessert. I am coming back to try more menu items- I may have just ordered the wrong sandwich today.

The counter person waved me over and stated they were all waiting for their online orders, "OK... cool?" I ordered the 6-inch tuna with lettuce, tomato, pickles, jalapeno, and banana peppers, along with a drink. By the time I had filled my drink and walked back to the pickup counter, my sandwich was already done! Apparently, online orders have to be made close to the pick-up time so they sit for too long. So, if five or more people order a sandwich for pickup at 12:30pm, your ass is waiting and walk-ins get taken care of first! They gave me a large tuna portion for my sandwich. It was very fresh and not too heavy on the mayo either, which can create a drippy sando. Loved all the toppings except that they put pickle spears on their sandwiches and not pickle chips... why? The sandwich came on dutch crunch bread, which I normally love, but it was hard a little hard to bite through. The crust was more chewy than crunchy, but still soft on the inside. Decent prices, a huge menu, and they offer most of their sandwiches in wrap form as well.
