We were first introduced to Blaze in Florida. So we were really happy to find them here in ABQ. Tonight (10/31)we decided we wanted something while we stayed in for the evening. They were clearly short staffed. The manager (even though obviously overwhelmed) did a great job of attending to the customers, she was apologetic for the hold up. I didn't fault her and tried to reassure her. As for the food, always great. I had ordered large using the app but they didn't have any large doughs. I ended up with 2 11" pizzas. Works out better for us so we can have leftovers. The pesto cheesy bread is good as well. The 11" pizzas are thin crust and perfect size for sharing. Kind of keep you from over doing it. Every time I come into the store, they have fast friendly service. The food is very good here, one of the best pizzas they have is the herbivore. Sometimes the music is a little loud in the lobby, but it is good music. It reminds me of when I was in high school. read more

This place is always busy! Always cranking out so many damn pizzas it's insane! I didn't want to review until we had come a few times, but we've now come when a line is out the door, and also on a fundraiser night. A DoorDash guy had to tell us why it was so busy. They make do with the oven they have, and you can definitely tell they've been short staffed for awhile. I applaud how hard everyone in this place is always working. Kevin I believe was working the oven one night we came in, and absolutely was a savage trying to control how many pizzas were coming through. I took a chance 3-nights ago to visit Blaze. I hadn't been since before COVID. I was thoroughly disappointed at my visit, definitely my food, the customer service and lack of courtesy & training from the employees. I ordered 2- gluten-free pizzas at about 730pm. Blaze closes at 9pm. They only had 1 gf dough left, which was according to the employee, was damaged but I opted for that along with a cauliflower pizza dough base. I also ordered the meatballs which they were also out of, so I then opted for a salad. After seeing the annoyed look from the employees I opted out of the salad. When the pizzas came out the lady boxed them up. I asked her aren't you supposed to tell me my options of drizzle for the top. She rolled her eyes and asked what I wanted. I said actually it's ok. I didn't want any more negative energy in my dinner. The atmosphere was empty, definitely lacked customers, counters were dirty. The bathroom was out of tissue and paper towels and needed a good cleaning. My order was to go. When I got home ready to dig in I noticed the pizzas didn't look like they were baked long enough. I then had to plug in my air fryer to cook them longer. Overall truly disappointed to see what has become of the Blaze Pizza I once loved. read more

Went to this establishment for the second time to give it a second try. I have come to the conclusion is decent pizza and nothing to hype about. It's definitely better than frozen pizza. So a friend of mine that I have not seen in a while was in front of me and we were talking and the lady in counter thought we were together without asking and proceeded to help the guy behind me. It hold her that she had missed taking my order and I didn't get any apologies but a nasty remark saying "I thought you guys were together." I know it gets hectic in the restaurant industry but it doesn't hurts to own up to your own flaws. I paid and got my pizza but not my cookie and I gave them a friendly reminder and I ended getting it. They definitely blaze the pizza in front of you. You get fresh ingredients. The service here was very unsatisfactory, the big guy with curls I don't specifically remember his name, but he seems like he was under the influence of marijuana while on the job. We assumed this because he was slurring his words and had extremely red eyes. When we made a comment if he was okay he told us, "to shut your b**** a** up." This is very unprofessional, and honestly I was scared for my safety. After he said that, we proceeded to pay, and he told his coworker "these goofy a** N****. I don't know why he had to make it racial but at this point we were really scared (I'm of African American decent). He then proceeded us to hand us a completely burnt and unsafe smore cookie in retaliation. That's not all. We then went to pickup our other online order from the counter, and the other worker said "put it back right now". We were accused of stealing because we are black teenage boys who just wanted to enjoy a nice pizza night. When we showed her our order confirmation she said whatever and rudely handed us our food. 4 BIG stars for the pizza! My husband talked about how great it was all the way home and I concur, including the leftovers! We could not attend the YEE, so we went the Friday night before about 5:00pm. We stood in line for quite sometime and I had a good look at the employees doing their job!. Several were consistent and moving as fast as they could. In particular was the cashier. Never a smile upon greeting customers, and occasionally he made attempts at preparing dough. Many times he could not get it right so he just threw away the dough. Plus he did not wear gloves YUCK! I was very happy when we ordered a large pizza and the manager made it using gloves. I asked the cashier to please smile, but a faint move of the lips was not the answer. Once we started down the line of choices the guys were much more pleasant, happy, and very accommodating! Whatever I wanted they made sure I had all the ingredients requested. It would have been nice if the guys were wearing name tags, but maybe in the future! Our beautiful pepperoni, red onion, and extra cheese pizza was hot and bubbling. It was fantastic, and hmm hmm Great!!! So, with the price this makes it our #1 favorite. Yep, I know it should be five stars, but I had to minus one star for the cashier, and you can't eat a large without a plate, (napkins did not help), no forks, no salt & pepper, had to keep our jackets on, and well that's about it!
