Pizza Castle delivers every. single. time. Every Time! Only complaint I have are the prices. I hate that inflation has hit the pizzerias! Anyway, I am a huge fan of Pizza Castle. This is my #1 Favorite Pizza in ABQ so far. Along with pizza Castle I really enjoy Goodfella's on Osuna and JCPD on Central (they are hit or miss). I still need to check out Rumor Pizza on Mountain Road as I've heard good things. I've tried Richie B's, Slice Parlor, Gimani, Giovanni's, Slice & Dice, Urban 360, Gold Street, and Gino's. Saturday. September 21, 2024. Dinner. My wife and I ate here on our date night. I saw a lot of five-star Yelp reviews. This restaurant is in a new location and under new management. If you decide to dine inside, they have 8 booths, 6 tables, 2 pinball machines and 2 video games. They also have a varied menu, with pizza, sandwiches, salads, spaghetti, calzones, stromboli and baked ziti. They have New York style pizza baked on stone. We ordered a 16", thin crust pizza with four ingredients for $26.16, including tax. These ingredients were meatballs, bacon, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. They charged .48 for the thin crust and $2.40 for each ingredient. Our pizza came out in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, I was more than a little disappointed in this pizza based on all the five star reviews. Crust wasn't crisp, sun-dried tomatoes were too sweet, mushrooms were almost non-existent and there were large portions of the pizza missing any sign of ingredients. Wished they had thrown on more bacon, mushrooms and meatballs. A less than average pie with a too sweet after taste. read more

It's been a bit since we ordered a pizza from here but decided to try something different. Two medium pizzas one regular crust and one thin crust . They were both cooked perfectly , crust has great texture and flavor . Toppings were well proportioned and sauce tasted great . Love the convenience of a drive up window for pick up too . Their pizzas and salads are only the highest quality and the atmosphere is super cozy and welcoming.

The pizza was delicious and they were very fast as I waited in the lobby. They also have a tiny arcade area while you wait

I don't know about you, but I love pineapple on pizza and so right off the bat, that's a win for me. Now through is some good crust, melty cheese, and fast service and I'm a happy customer. Pizza Castle is super close to my house and I'd been wanting to check them out. So I placed an order by phone and thirty minutes I was back home with a hot pizza. I paid just under $20 for a 16" pineapple pizza with a side of ranch. It was a good, standard pizza. When venturing out for pizza here are 2 rules that I follow. 1) always get a slice of cheese first (if you can) and 2) if it is a pizza place in New Mexico you better have the cheese slice with Green Chile. The reason for this is to ensure that they know how to make the base of all pizzas and in New Mexico they have good Green Chile. If either of those let you down never go back. I must confess that I live near Pizza Castle and so it's my go to pizza joint since I can walk there, but that is only good for me. The pizza is great, the specials are great, the calzone and stromboli are great as well. One thing that I love about the castle is that there are no specialty pies. You get to make it up on your own and that is your special pie. Staff are always friendly and prices are reasonable. One time I was and ordered a calzone and they accidently made stromboli and fixed it at no cost and I got to have both. They did not need to do that but it was great that they did and I had food for days. read more

Started this ABQ visit with my high school buddy eating at this ol' reliable joint. First time in their 'newer' digs, and I won't lie....I miss the old location. But if this is better for them, yay. They certainly moved their ovens across the street, because the pie is as wicked good as ever. I love how you have the option for oven roasted wings, and I had to grab what I could because my buddy liked them better than I did, wink wink. I have to say, I like Pizza Castle. As a born and raised Albuquerque native, I obviously have a bias towards another local pizza chain, but I'm learning to expand my experiences. I usually get the pie to go here. Not sure why, but I haven't actually been inside. Ordering is easy, especially with their online system. However, calling in works well, also. They have a four-topping special that I enjoy. It's fun to mix and match toppings to see if any combo is better. My tastebuds prefer pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and green chile, although my heart leans to the veggie options. You really can't go wrong. It's a crispy crust, which I like. A little crunch is good for pizza in my view. The sauce is tasty. And, the prices are in line with other joints around town. read more

Ordered a large pizza to share. The online ordering system makes it super easy to customize. I appreciate not having to call in the order. Had red peppers on everything with one half green chile and one half banana peppers (on the website it's called pepperoncini, an I wasn't sure if they were the same - turns out they are!). Didn't have to wait too long either. It's a bit tricky to figure out how to get into the parking lot - I probably should have ignored google maps. The place is pretty charming albeit empty due to COVID. The staff was very pleasant and got me my order. Good, solid, no frills pizza. Yummy! Crust, sauce, and cheese were all tasty. Pizza Castle was nearby, so I called in an order after finishing up some business further down Eubank. Northbound traffic was a little heavy, so the 20 minute estimated wait for my pie worked out well. I pulled into the lot, parked, and walked inside. (From what I gather, this restaurant used to be located on the other side of Eubank, right there, just across the street. As of 6/22/19, you can still see the old sign, which is a little disorienting at first. Just follow the directions on your phone map's navigation: you'll get where you need to be.) This new location is modern and clean, spacious, with a long counter for ordering and pick-up. The friendly cashier swiped my card and told me that my order was just coming out of the oven. A minute later, she brought my box over, and I left. Finally, the pizza. 16" with pepperoni and green chile. A little greasy, visually reminiscent of Dion's; perhaps this could be called the Central New Mexico New York style? (See also Pizza Centro in Santa Fe, etc.) Whatever you call it, there's no denying the irresistible, cheesy allure of such pizza. I quickly ate two slices, lightly dusted with parmesan and red pepper flakes. Thumbs up. Prices are a little better than I expected for this quality and amount of food. One of the premier pizzerias this side of I-25, and worth a drive. 13 of us had dinner here on a Wednesday night. I picked the spot because they have regular, thin, and gluten free crusts. I'm a thin crust person. I ordered a 12" cheese pizza. That's it. I feel like if your cheese pizza is good, we've established a baseline. Next time, I'll add toppings. The cheese pizza was very good: it didn't need extra cheese and the sauce had good flavor. The crust was just what I like in a thin crust. One of my friends had spaghetti and loved it. She said the sauce was great. Another friend has a pizza roll. He liked it a lot. His only mistake was getting bread knots with it because it was just a lot of bread. But it all tasted good. The group really enjoyed their orders. I didn't hear a single complaint. The service was stellar. We pushed a lot of tables together. No one got annoyed with us or tried to give us the bum's rush as the evening wore on. There's a cash discount! Pizza was delish, and huge! Ordered the jumbo I think 4 toppings, so worth the $$)$. The dough is airy and light and lots of toppings!

They changed locations, fret not, they didn't move too far away from "home". The move did unfortunately kill off some of that 1980's pizza place vibe I got from the old location. I seriously remember going to the old location when I was a kid (mind you I didn't live in New Mexico as a kid so this is literally impossible). The new place is a huge upgrade, there's a lot more space for seating, it looks a lot cleaner and I believe it's got a bit more street visibility than the old location which was tucked in a corner and somewhat hard to see due to the surrounding buildings. The pizza is the same old pizza, though to be honest I normally get the sub, but you really can't go wrong with a slice salad and soda only costing about $7 after tax. Right now there are only 3 games and unfortunately no pinball (I didn't notice any of the candy/sticker vending machines but those may have been there and I simply didn't notice them. We did ask about the arcade and one employee mentioned are in the process of acquiring 2 pinball machines which will definitely up the nostalgic feel. (Ms.) Pac-Man my wife's favorite is still around so she was happy. If you're looking for NY style pizza, great customer service, and a bit of that arcade nostalgia this should definitely be high on your list. read more
