My boyfriend and I went out to dinner with my work mom and her husband. It was wonderful! I like the ambiance in this location better than the others. It's in a historic area but the inside is chic, modern, and lively. Bold paint colors, unique bar and table sets, and they even have chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The only caveat is that it is LOUD. Between the noise of eating, talking, and the music, it is difficult to hear each other. The service was excellent. I wish I could remember his name to give him a shout-out. He was knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggestions for drinks, appetizers and main dishes. He also, was friendly and funny, and took care of us without hovering but was somehow always there when we needed something. The food was excellent, with large portions, great flavors, clean ingredients and fresh new takes on a lot of dishes. I had the Sourdough Gnocchi with onions, brocolini, and added salmon. It was truly amazing! They had a blackberry shrub, which is non-alcoholic, that I was able to add alcohol to and it was delicious! We also had the calamari for an appetizer and it was beautifully done, perfectly cooked, with light breading, and excellent sauces to dip it in. This time the waitress mentioned each location has a different region of Italy it specializes in, this one is Roman. The salad was well balanced with the pears, goat cheese, and blackberries, although the granola was an odd addition (not bad, just a bit unexpected for a salad). My cocktail was tasty and I could have had even more all night long if I didn't have to drive home. The pasta was delicious - although forewarning that the Pasta All'Arrabiata does have some kick to it. The bartender was prompt and kind, a delightful overall server. Busy restaurant, also plenty of seating so the wait for larger parties appeared short. Just two of us so we sat immediately, and choose to enjoy the outside seating for a quieter atmosphere vs the bustling vibe indoors. The seating was comfortable and spacious, the noise of periodic hot rods was somewhat disruptive to conversation, but generally the street traffic added to ambience. Our server, Chau, was cheerful, energetic, welcoming, and complimented our dining experience. We visited a speak easy prior to our late-dinner plans so we stuck with entrees, although the wine and cocktail menu was tempting. We ordered Artichoke Ravioli and an 8oz Hanger Steak, every on both plates was delicious, the Crispy Salt Water potatoes are magical. Very disappointing experience the other day at lunch. One of the people in our party ordered from the lunch special column. It was supposed to come with a lemon cookie but when we asked about it we were told they didn't have any. The server said she'd bring a scoop of ice cream instead. She later came back and said her manager said she could not give him any ice cream. The server apologized and said it was her fault for offering it in the first place. The manager humiliated the poor waitress and disappointed us over a scoop of ice cream. Very poor judgment. read more

I finally had a chance to try M'Tucci's Bar Roma after it being on my list for a long while. I was there for dinner and got a chance to try their Black Truffle Artichoke soup, Linguine Alla Gricia and Lemon Cake. I thought they all tasted good. The portion was ok, a bit on a smaller side, if you are used to big American portion. The only thing was most of the dishes were a little too rich for my taste (yet they tasted good)! I liked the energy around the space and if you stop by at the right time, street parking surprisingly wasn't too hard to find. Wonderful happy hour with great drinks to choose from. Particularly delicious is the strawberry basil smash and the pink rabbit. I do wish they would add more alcohol. ! From start to finish M'tucci's Galentine's Brunch was amazing! We arrived at 11AM and headed to the back where they had opening seating for anyone who had made a reservation for the brunch! The set up was so cute and on theme! We started off with drinks and I got the Peach Please the NA mocktail which I appreciated they had the option!! It was peachy and frothy and so good! Like a peach ice cream! Next we got the Toasted Biscuits! A small Parmesan & Black Pepper Biscuit with some honey butter and for my entree I got the Italian Breakfast which was scrambled eggs, prosciutto cotto, crispy potatoes, tomatoes slices and toast! Great spot in the Nob Hill area. Biggest issue is limited parking for what seems like a pretty busy location. I ended up parking on the street in the neighborhood a couple blocks down. Very nice dining space and bar seating, they even have a small outdoor dining area. Met up with a friend for dinner, had some drinks and appetizers - calamari and charcuterie board. The board was loaded up and filling so we didn't even make it to ordering entrees but it was delicious! Service was top-notch too so I look forward to visiting again in the future. read more

We much preferred our original waiter who gave some great advice for drinks and entrees and now we don't think he will get any of our tip. Management should not cut servers mid-service. read more

A reservation is recommended or be prepared to wait, also if you are lucky you can find a spot at the bar. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional! I had the espresso martini, it was velvety, smooth and everything you want in the drink! The foam on top was perfectly dense and pillowy for the espresso beans to sit on top. Beautiful presentation and tasty! We also ordered some apps, charcuterie is a must! Also just the bread with olive oil on its own. We also had some crispy fried calamari and some short ribs. I'm not sure if their menu rotates, do be sure to ask your server for the current specials or offerings. We talked to Audrey, one of the managers and she made sure that our visit was absolutely perfect. Shout out to Audrey! There is a sweet glaze paired with bell peppers which I am not used to for ribs. Barramundi Special - (4/5) Delicious fish! Loved the pairing with the mashed potatoes and arugula. There was a bit too much arugula & the artichokes were very salty chunks/pieces. Linguine alla Gricia - (4/5) Cute dish with small pieces of pork belly. We had dinner at M'tucci's Bar Roma with our daughter & son-in-law Friday night. Overall it was pretty good. We had a 6:00 reservation and waited about 8 minutes for a table. We were seated at a table near the door and then immediately asked to get up and move to the table beside it. Our waiter Zach was polite and professional. We ordered drinks. They arrived in a timely manner. My wine was good (not great). My husband had the hanger steak rubbed with espresso from the specials. It came with an autumn vegetable medley. His meal was fantastic. My daughter and I both ordered the eggplant parm. Hers came with two quite large slices, mine with two very small slices. The eggplant was cooked beautifully. It was crisp and had wonderful texture and flavor. The pasta that came with it, however, strange texture and dry. I asked for some marinara sauce to try to make it less dry and Zach was happy to bring some sauce. I thought the ambiance was nice. The crust was thin but wasn't overly crispy. It had the right amount of bite and an excellent char. The pork was melt in your mouth tender. Pasta Tartufo: This was a decadent pasta similar to a carbonara. I didn't like the sauce that much because it felt a little grainy. Service: 5 The wait staff is always excellent. They are patient/careful with requests and dietary restrictions. They pay attention to your table without hovering or interrupting too much. This M'Tucci's location is right on Central, Rt. 66, in Nob Hill. It's really nicely designed within the old mechanic garage building. It is a pretty fancy atmosphere with various rooms of tables and good ambiance. One thing I don't like is that it gets quite loud, and the tables could be a little more spread out. Additionally, there is a big outdoor patio in front that's nice to sit at on a summer night. The food is quite tasty and well-prepared, from drinks to appetizers, to pasta, to dessert. You can tell they take care with getting flavors, dishes, and presentations right. This is a good place for a special occasion or dressing up for a fun night out. read more

We had ordered Italian cream sodas one had flavor the other was just club soda and cream. I got the steak asked for it medium rare and got rare. Made dinner reservations on a Sunday. The place was very busy and loud. I thought this was a fine dining place but I'd reclassify it as a good Italian eatery with an urban vibe. It is in a restored gas station/garage. Lots of younger people 20s, 30s sipping cocktails. The bar was full. Very loud ambiance. Even with reservations, they sat us three big guys at a tiny bar table top. We asked for another table but the waiter scurried away too quickly to hear us. The food was an absolute 10! No doubt about it. We stuck to the classic Italian recipes. You can't go wrong with this. The service, however is where the lower rating comes from. It took 25 minutes to get my second glass of wine. We watched as our glasses ( finally after 20 mins) sat at the bar for 5 minutes before our server collected them and brought it to our table. We finished dinner 10 minutes before the wine came. (No 5 stars for this!) When our food was delivered, it took another 5 minutes to get Parmesan cheese and the black pepper never came! My friend ordered a side dish that arrived 15 minutes after his entree only because we inquired about it. I had meatballs added to my pasta. They were delicious. BUT, they were very tiny in size. Plan to add 4 balls, not 2 to your dish. We weren't impressed with our server but I have to say not all the late things were his fault. Some were, but most weren't. Still, I'd recommend he check back on his table more to see how things are going. We experienced lots of "service" issues despite the chef's food being so delicious. It is sad when restaurant staff tarnish a great chef's reputation. I recommend you try this place at a less busy time. Try lunch. Or try a slower week day. I'd avoid the weekends. read more

They assured us it would be 15 to 20 minutes. As the clock rounded an hour of waiting and after repeated conversations with the host, we were suddenly informed that "she called our name five or six times" and that our table was now gone - which was strange because I was standing right next to her for the entire wait. It was a master class in attempted gaslighting by the host, that caused us to walk out. What a great meal. Sat alone at the bar and Max the bartender was great. Had a few drinks and the shrimp appetizer. It was so good I decided to have the pasta with truffle and mushroom. On Max's advice I added some Italian sausage. Now I have spent a fair amount of time in Italy and so am picky about pasta dishes. This was really special. 3 strikes you're out. Have been here a few times and the food was so so. Ate here last night. Calamari was very tender but the marinara was dried out. White sauce it also came with was ok but it's rather have good marinara. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan which consisted is 2 very tiny round deep fried hockey puck looking things over a bed of dried out pasta with a cream sauce that was like glue. Pasta was all stuck together. After one bite I sent mine back and didn't order anything else. My fiance order a chicken dish over pasta. He ate the chicken but not the clump of pasta because it was as bad as mine. The atmosphere is pretty cool. The server was fine. Manager was kind. It's not the servers fault the food here is sub par. Go anywhere else for brunch. We ordered the italian sausage hash and the lemon ricotta pancakes, and got our food after about forty minutes. The sausage skillet was lukewarm, like it had been sitting out for a while. We sent back the lemon ricotta pancakes because they were burnt, and very promptly received a new order of pancakes which weren't much better. For $14, we got two small pancakes that had been cut in half and spread on the plate to look like a larger serving. Though not burnt, they were dry and bland--not sure if they used much lemon or ricotta. The "syrup" was their seasonal shrub syrup, which they don't tell you is made of fruit soaked in vinegar. So our pancakes tasted like berry salad dressing. And, there was no whipped cream like the menu said! The service wasn't great either. After we received our food, our server did not check on us except to take our plates away, and we had to flag him down to send our burnt pancakes back. Will not be returning. read more
