WOW! I had heard great reviews about village... and had been to the one in corralles in the past... but didn't really remember it as being standout... not the case for this visit! We walked in to a great wide open space with great lighting and a good vibe! It was a weekend so there was a lot of couples and families! We took a moment to look over the menu and then went up to the counter to order. The woman at the counter was very upbeat, friendly, and quick to help. We ordered pizza, wings, salad, and drinks.... All for a very reasonable price. The food came out hot, quick, and man... the pizza was not lacking on toppings! Most places really skimp on toppings... not the case here! Really good local, family owned pizza place. We were traveling with our small dog and looked for a lunch spot with a dog friendly patio and the Village Pizza warmly welcomed us. Ended up ordering a medium pizza (half Hawaiian and half pepperoni $21) to share. It was very good! The crust was delicious - nice and crusty on the outside, soft inside, perfect thickness and chew. The sauce was also super flavorful. Service was friendly (thanks Lacey!) and efficient and the patio was beautiful and clean. Really loved the gated off artificial turf area for our small dog to run around and enjoy. Bonus, this location also has a drive thru pizza window! Zero rating from me. Unfortunately, this has been the worst experience I have had with this location. I ordered chicken wings and a veggie plate for carry out. I told them I did not want celery and guess what? I got mostly celery. And I'm allergic to Roma tomatoes and my veggie plate was mostly tomatoes. Where is the broccoli and cauliflower that usually comes with it? And to top it off, my wings were burnt. The manager did nothing, just very dismissive and made excuses that made no sense. Placed an order over the phone, but when I arrived, I still had to wait in line for about 8 minutes just to pay. After another 5 minutes, I was told they lost my ticket and hadn't even started my pizza--it was only being made at that point. It has been a minute since we've visited Village Pizza. We're used to the Corrales location. But it's always good to explore. This place is spacious and very modern in decor. So in we go, and find the counter under the sign "Order Here" menu on the counter so after a quick scan decide the Mexican Combo pizza sounds good. At $25 for the medium (14") I sure hope so. We selected spaghetti and marinara sauce (with hot sausage). We also ordered a salad (and served ourselves at the salad bar). I ordered a Bosque lager (yes they have a great selection of local brews and today this one was on special for $3!!!) and my husband took a soda. The spaghetti was good, not crazy good , but good. The garlic twisty bread that came with it was awesome. Our salad was fresh and crisp. All in all, it was what we were looking for, quick, good, close by. My only wonder is: why don't you have Parmesan in a shaker at the table (or fresh shaved?). I was looking and could not find it anywhere. My mom and I went to village Pizza for National Pizza day. We got a medium Greg's Albuquerque Magazine combo pizza and a large gourmet salad which was plenty for both of us to share. The Village Pizza on Coors on the Westside of ABQ is consistently good and the service is consistently good. Sadly I cannot say that about the service at the Corrales location. We love the atmosphere at the Corrales location but stopped going because we had such POOR to no service 3 times at the Corrales location. Meh. I'm a big fan of the Corrales location so when this location opened up in Albuquerque I was expecting the same, charming, yummy experience... but it is very different. The buffet is very small and hasn't been available each time we've come for dinner. The seating area is nice and new but a bit uncomfortable. We liked that there were board games available, it kept us busy waiting about 30 minutes for our order to come out. The pizza was reminiscent of the original location's and the salad bar was decent. Our favorites were the wings and the bread sticks. Overall, it's a good location and the food is ok but I'm likely going to stick to the original. read more

Beware of lazy pizza makers. Ordered and picked up a large pizza with extra cheese, onion, bell pepper, green chile. Got home, opened the box and it's just piled high with what were basically raw vegetables. Took me a while to figure out that all they did was take a probably premade cheese pizza, threw on all the veggies and ran it quickly thru the oven.
