I have been here quite a few times over the past couple years and am honestly surprised I haven't written a review yet. It is my go to local pizza place. The pizzas always have ample toppings and great crust flavor. They also have tiramisu which is surprisingly good. We have ordered the wings and they have been a good size with good flavor but the skin was not as crunchy skin as I prefer. The 'jumbo' size is very large, just a heads up. They do get busy so call ahead with time. I would say usually wait for dinner is about 30-40 mins. I would have liked to give it 4.5 stars but settled on 4 because it is a little more expensive for pizza than I think most people would expect but its is worth it to support the local business and get quality pizza! read more

I've been going to Pizza Castle since the mid 90's but after my last experience it's sad to say I won't be returning. The man who took my order was very unfriendly and aggressive. I felt like it was an inconvenience since I wasn't there for a phone/online order. When I got my order, it looked good, but there was an abundant amount of onions on it. After eating it I realized they forgot the Peperoni and since it was clear across town I just called it loss. So between the rude service, my car stinking of onion for weeks, and forgetting the Peperoni, it's just not worth it anymore. read more

After seeing Pizza Castle on Top 7 Pizza Joints in ABQ, we thought we would take the drive up to the far east side of town and give it a try. The first time we ordered a carry out special. We got a pepperoni pizza and omg it was quite delicious. The crust was perfect and the sauce was not overly heavy. The restaurant decor (especially with the pinball machines) seems like something that would be from the 80s maybe early 90s. I wasn't alive in the 80s, but according the Hollywood depiction of all that I have seen Pizza Castle meets those nostalgic qualities. Its a blast to the past. I enjoy the restaurant experience and obviously the pizza. If you haven't tried this place yet, pepperoni is the way to go! I can't wait to try the other items. My fellow diners enjoyed the BBQ wings, so give those a try too! We ate here twice in one week, so we definitely are fans! read more

At first I was a little skeptical knowing there was a new ownership and us being long decade Pizza Castle goers, I was not disappointed!! You can soak up the happiness in this place. The pizza was so delicious!! It has a slight sweetness that I can't explain, it keeps me hooked!! We also got a sandwich a "Spicy Combo". It was soooo good! Pizza Castle is one of the most underrated pizza spots in Albuquerque. It's tucked away in a shopping center so it's easy to miss but once you find it, it will be one of your favorite places for pizza. My favorite part is the MASSIVE slices of pizza you get. I've never ordered a full pie but I can just imagine how huge they are. You can tell they staff teens to work the kitchen and counter (WHICH IS GREAT BTW). I ordered for carry out but I got a glimpse of the dining in area. Small shop with high quality pies. Dough is a great texture with out over seasoning or that greasy feeling left on your fingers. Though the store itself is a bit dated- it is not uncomfortable. I took my pie home and with a5 minute drive sitting on cold leather in a cold truck it was still hot when I arrived home. Only reason for 3 stars is the pizza was ok. Their sub I got Sucked to put it nicely. Hardly any meat on the sub ( even subway gives more meat). None of the stuff I ordered for the sub had it on it. My husband and I got stuck in Albuquerque overnight when our truck gave out. We are on a cross country move from california to georgia. Once we got settled in our hotel for the night, we decided to order a pizza and regroup. Little did we know, that our hotel was in a neighborhood that was considered shady by the locals. When our pizza arrived, the delivery driver was shaking like a leaf! Not only did he fear kind travelers, he held our pizza sideways tucked under his arm the whole time! When we opened the box, it as like a folded accordion in there! I have never seen such incompetent behavior from a pizza guy in all my life. Scared of the neighborhood? Don't deliver. But NEVER, EVER HOLD A PIZZA SIDEWAYS!!!
