Being an Italian from New York City, I have to say that I am overall disappointed in M'Tucci's Twenty-Five. The first time that my fiance and I went there we had lunch, which was an amazing experience! It was a Wednesday afternoon in late January. Our waitress was the best waitress you can ask for, very attentive and on point, number one... Our salads, the Citrus Braised Beet & Pecan Salad and the Arugula & Spinach Caesar Salad, were amazing, number two... And our lunch, Spaghettini & Chianina Meatballs and Eggplant Parmesan, were amazing, number three. Awesome, right?? Here's the kicker.... My fiance wanted to take me either to Bien Shur or Level 5 for Valentine's Day. I'm a girl and he's trying to be very romantic, which I applaud!!! Those restaurants supposedly have the ambience of a romantic setting with views at sunset. So I poured over the menus and Google reviews from those two restaurants as well as other restaurants that friends have suggested and, after wanting the best quality food for a competitive price (even though price is of no object to him, but I AM an absolute food critic, especially coming from New York City and having eaten at different establishments across the country, so he left the final decision to me), I told him that we should go back to M'Tucci's Twenty-Five... I am Italian and he is Spanish, so I was hoping to introduce his tastebuds to the best Italian cuisine near to what I am accustomed to... So we went to M'Tucci's at 5pm on a Wednesday evening hoping to get the same service as last time... Nada, niente We sat down and I already had an idea of how I wanted the courses to go... but from beginning to end, a different waitress tried to rush us through the entire dinner EVERY STEP of the way as if we were a bother to her even though hardly any other customers were there... It was uncomfortable, so I skipped over the salads and went straight to the Applewood Smoked Portobella Risotto and the Pappardelle Porcini Pasta, figuring they would go greatly hand in hand... As we were waiting, I described to my fiance how Risotto is delicate, delicious, and hard to find on any menu because it cannot be under-cooked nor overcooked... it has to be "al dente," cooked but firm... fluffy and tasty with Porcini mushroom sauce, it will be amazing... Well the only thing firm and amazing about the Risotto at M'Tucci's were the few shavings of fresh mushrooms on top. The rest of the dish, ALL of the rice, was just MUSH!!! Which is NOT what's supposed to happen with any type of Risotto. A heartbreaking disappointment!!!... As for the Pappardelle Porcini Pasta, which was pasta in Porcini Cream Sauce with Pan Seared Chicken, the ONLY thing that was fresh were the cuts of chicken on top of the pasta... ALL of the pasta was just MUSH!!! So neither the rice nor the pasta were al dente. We couldn't finish neither dish. It was disappointing, embarrassing, and pretty much inedible. Next, our entrees were the Five Pork Bolognese and the "Cut of the Day, Hand Cut Steak, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Grilled Asparagus." He knows that I LOVE Filet Mignon and that that was exactly what I wanted for Valentine's Day, which was why he was trying to take me to Bien Shur. While we were at M'Tucci's, he joked that the Cut of the Day would be a T-Bone. I laughed and said it better not be. Sure enough, it was a huge T-Bone steak!! Thankfully his Five Pork Bolognese turned out well because I can forgo bad dishes, but the least I want is for him to have a bad dish!!! So my T-Bone was okay, not great by any means... definitely not the Valentine's Day dinner nor experience that I was expecting from a high-end restaurant. The wine wasn't even good. Only the Five Pork Bolognese dish was the redeeming factor that night. Needless to say, we haven't gone back there. Don't get your hopes up, especially for a romantic occasion. read more

Cold expensive food lacking flavor. Every dish we had here was served on a cold plate. The bread did not taste fresh at all and was only 6 small slices for an appetizer. The meatballs al forno was also small but probably the only hot dish, although the garlic was also cold. The pappardelle alla crema di porcino pasta was way too heavy on mushroom flavor, the pasta was overcooked, and the outside of the dish and chicken was cold. The two other dishes (Chicken Milanese Burrata and Chipotle Chicken Pasta) I tried were okay in flavor but on cold plates and the outside of the pasta was cold. The Burrata was probably the best dish I tried. There is much better Italian food in Albuquerque, I would recommend somewhere else. It cost $73 plus tip for two entrees, small appetizer, soda, and 2 desserts for a very subpar meal. Service was good. Ambiance of restaurant is very open and fairly loud. read more

We did take out at the Winter Haven location, and it was divine! There was house made pasta that was SO fresh, house made meatballs, porcini mushrooms in a lovely cream sauce, and lemon cookies that screamed alleluia! as you eat them, or maybe that was me?! I've been to M'tucci's on Central a number of times, but never had a reason to come out to M'tucci's Italian until they partnered with Girl Scouts for these awesome cookie inspired desserts. The food was excellent, the Wednesday Prix Fixe, is agreat offering. It is high-end cuisine at a very reasonable price. Because it was a Girl Scout themed event, I brought my teenage Girl Scout daughter who absolutely loved the meal. You've gained some new regulars for girls night! read more

This is one of the places I go to treat myself to fresh delicious food. I like the quaint bistro style layout with plenty of room between tables where you don't feel crowded. Service at all the locations is top notch and never too intrusive. They take good care of you. Today I enjoyed the calamari appetizer. Light, crispy coating, never has been over cooked. With the garlic aioli and spicy marinara it is probably my favorite calamari app in all of Albuquerque. You just can't go wrong with M'Tucci's! We did the prix fixe again this Wednesday and the pairings were spot on! My granddaughter and another guest had the table side pasta and it was amazing! I honestly have never had bad service at any location. But this location was the first I visited and might have been the only one here when we moved from WI ( it had the deli next door) in 2010. So it's the OG of M'Tucci's! I have visited them all now and they are all very well run with top notch staff. The atmosphere is relaxed and as busy as they get it is still a spot you're not feeling rushed. I enjoy visiting with my family and friends over good food at all of their locations! read more

What went well??? Everything! My friends and I came to Albuquerque for comic con weekend. On Saturday night we were looking for a place to have a decent meal and our fingers stumbled upon this place on our map app. At 9:30pm there was plenty of seating available for us. We had a Goldilocks of a server, just-right attentive and informative. I say informative because lately I've been stumbling upon servers who can't answer questions about the menu that they're serving from. We ordered a bottle of prosecco and a charcuterie board to start. And then I ordered one of the best pasta all'arrabiata dishes I've ever had. It had a nice hearty sauce with some kick served over a corkscrew shaped noodle. We were told that the pastas were made fresh in-house. From greeting to goodbye, everything about our experience went as it should. Outstanding service, fabulous food, and great value. I've not been here for awhile but I've always loved the salads here and still do. Visiting my mom here and we thought we'd go here again. The server Katie was phenomenal. She was so friendly and customer service oriented with zero attitude. We all loved her. The salads were great as well. I was surprised however that you had to pay extra not only for bread but for butter as well. So that was a little bizarre to me. My step dad wasn't pleased with the salmon dish or potatoes and thought that the salmon didn't taste like salmon. I'm visiting from Oregon where salmon is very fresh. I have to say he was sort of right on the fish. I had the lobster ravioli. It was ok but not the best pasta I've had. It was ok though. Perfect portion size for me so I do like this place but I didn't like the extra charges for things and the ravioli could have been a bit tastier. read more

I really liked the chipotle chicken pasta. I felt like the sauce was good but would be even better with cracked pepper and some chili flakes so I added that when I got home. It was awesomeness The fried Brie is the most popular thing here but mine ended up being the only dish I had that wasn't hot :( . So I can't tell if I would have liked it or not because I didn't get to experience it the way it should have been. I ended up getting cold fried Brie! The potato soup with the crunchy leaks was pretty good too. It had a nice flavor and it felt like a good summery soup. All in all I was glad I got to try matucci. We come here a few times a month and have been coming for many years. Today my friend and I came in for lunch and they have a new brunch menu that is now every Saturday and Sunday from 11-3!! I'm thrilled as I love this place already and I love bunch!! Yay! My friend had the lunch special of flatbread pizza and Caesar salad and I had the chilaquiles and the extra virgin olive oil cake and my usual house-made lemonade. My friend really enjoyed her salad and pizza. My chilaquiles were tasty! The red chili had a great flavor. The ham and tomatoes were good. Overall a very yummy dish. The extra virgin olive oil cake was really good! 2 slices with butter and Bee Chama Honey, which I love. So so good!! If you like bloody Mary's they have a Bloody Mary bar where you can load up your drink with all kinds of goodies! They set it up so night the little spot just glows. It wasn't too busy and we got right in. It's always a nice place to be. We had a very nice and attentive waitress as usual which is so nice to look forward to. Can't wait to come back with my hubby. Nice ambiance and friendly staff make the entire experience enjoyable. We've tried half of the menu items and have been happy with all of them. They do a great job of creating tasty dishes with multiple levels of complementary flavors, even some that are unexpectedly great together. Only thing I'd caution against is bringing people who prefer bland food, since they may have trouble finding something to enjoy - my kids don't like the pizza, but do enjoy the spaghetti & meatballs. I love the food here. It is consistently delicious. Probably my favorite thing on the menu is their house salad as the dressing is delicious and it can be made into a meal by adding a protein. They have a good wine list and wonderful cocktails. There are yummy desserts to choose from if you have any room left after your meal. We went to the location Central Ave. There are 4 restaurants in Albuquerque all locally owned. Each has a different theme. The one we attended is based on Rome so the dishes may vary. My husband and I had the custom charcuterie board where we got to pick the meat, cheese and spread. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs and I had a small pecan salad and an order or risotto. We also had the order of different breads. I also had a cocktail with just the right amount of alcohol. Prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. The bread was soft inside and crunchy on the outside. Delicious. Parking is off street but there's a garage nearby. Some of the best Italian food we have had in a long long time! The ambience was amazing, parking was a tad bit difficult but we finally found a spot. We did need reservations. It was a party of 5 for my sister's birthday! We got eggplant Parmesan, ravioli, mushroom pasta, and caprese bread. Everything was divine. It all tasted good and the service was fabulous! They served us cheesecake for her birthday (her favorite) and it was so good, it melted in your mouth! They all sang and a couple of other tables also joined in! It's a big open crowded restaurant that isn't quiet, with a festive feel. On to the food. It is so delicious. So much flavor. I love the arribiata sauce. Came as a walk-in around 1700 on a Thursday and was able to get seated right away. Perfect timing because it started to get busy around 1730-1800. Service was great! Ambiance was great! Food was great! I had the chicken parmesan (generic name, the menu has the real name of the dish) and it was probably the best I had because it wasn't so cheesy and the chicken wasn't dry at all. We had a reservation for 11:00 for brunch today (Sunday). It wasn't necessary, as there were only 5-6 tables occupied while we were there. There was no Bloody Mary bar, as there had been on our original visit, which was disappointing. Another disappointment was there was no quiche on offer, although it's on the online menu. Our Bloody Marias, ordered not-spicy, tasted only of lime. We returned them and they were remade properly. Cream and sugar for our coffee had to be requested twice. All these issues did not endear us to our waitress. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy, served with 2 eggs and lots of potatoes. The dish was plentiful and very good. It's a rare occasion that I remark on how good the sausage is. My husband had the hash, which was the same potatoes and sausage along with 2 eggs. There was no accompanying bread of any sort. It was also good. We brought home a lot of potatoes. So the food and ambiance were good, the service and menu were lacking. read more

Took my little one for a pasta dinner tonight. I like taking her on dinner dates a couple times per month. We were ill received by staff at M'Tuccis. Attitude right off the bat. "Can I help you?" In a snarky tone was our greeting. I stated two for dinner please. "Do you have reservations?" I was asked while the restaurant was nearly empty. I politely said no, I did not think I needed reservations. Hostess asked for a minute to find us a table. There were numerous tables open so not sure why it took her several mins to look at her computer to figure it out. Once seated we heard the hostess and two other wait staff complain loudly about either work or personal lives nonstop, instead of actually working. They dropped the F bong about every other word. My daughter is 5 yrs old and her eyes were wide open hearing all of this. She knows better than to repeat these words thankfully. She has better manners at 5 than these employees in their 20s. Customers were waiting with needs while the staff were busy gossiping and complaining. Super tacky. One girl complained incessantly about someone named Daniel. I had to get water refills from the bar since our waitress was MIA. Our food was mediocre. My little wanted dessert but we waited so long to order after getting a desert menu that we skipped ordering desert and I asked for the check. Will NOT be coming back here ever again. I asked the name of the manager on, was told Fred was the manager but was not offered to speak with them. Stood up waiting at my table for a few mins hoping to speak with Fred, but no one paid attention to us. Customer service seems to be non-existent these days. M'Tuccis does it again. Snuck away for a lunch date with my neighbor, we hadn't been out on a lunch date since end of 2019, so this was much anticipated, and we did not hold back! First off, the squash blossoms appetizer was phenomenal. Light, crunchy, not greasy, oozing with cheese and spices. Definitely recommend this! We ordered a meatball appetizer as well, and they were so darn succulent, my lunch date ordered another order of it to go to snack on over the next few days. She also ordered a salad with golden beets (so good) and the pasta special which had beef tips, mushrooms, and a few other goodies in it. VERRRRRY flavorful. I ordered the porcini mushroom pasta dish which was so savory, layers of flavor, I boxed up the other half so I could enjoy for dinner and save room for dessert. Lastly, the cannoli with orange honey cream and cherry sauce was lovely, and the tiramisu was indulgent and satisfying. I just love this place. Can't beat those $5 bar appetizers and housemade shrub cocktails....so glad to see them still rockin' it through this COVID craziness. read more
