Bravo! I mean bravo! My compliments to the chef on this one! Last night I got real curious about the uptown location after visiting the old location near UNM. I had heard that one of them was better than the other so I was very curious to find out which that was. Last night it was a site for sore eyes! The staff was stellar! Very friendly and very accommodating. Those who know me know I freaking love cheese! That being said you know I had to make sure my calzone had plenty. Let me tell ya they did not disappoint. Before handing it to me they let me take a gander. Omg that thing was a work of art. It was so beautiful. When they asked what I thought I said it's perfect! Like a bandit I ran for home with this treasure. I saw a raccoon sitting on the dumpster next to where I parked and I clenched that box ready to fight if I had too. I got inside took that first bite and I was in heaven. The crust had the perfect crunch, the gooey cheese layered between the savory pepperonis sent my taste buds on overdrive. Combined with the sauce I thought I died and went to heaven for a moment. It was that freaking good. Thank you Saggios in Uptown for restoring my faith in calzones. I've been searching high and low for a great one in town since my go to place recently closed shop at the new year. I'm so glad I came in. For real my compliments! I definitely owe the chef from last night at least a beer cuz that calzone was amazing! I'll definitely be returning to this location!

Great pizza and salad. Reminded me of Nunzios from when I was young and is run by the family that used to have Nunzios. I had a slice of pepperoni and a Caesar salad. They were both delicious! Pizza was crisp and the marinara sauce had a great flavor. They run a special of a one topping slice and a draft for $9.95 which is a great deal! My server Judi was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is modern and inviting. I will definitely be going back.

I've always liked saggios but they keep undercooking the chicken in their chicken parm special. It was pink and has a gummy texture. Probably won't be back. Not up for risking getting sick.

Went here on a Sunday and it was sorta busy. They seemed to be spread very thin. The service was not great and everyone was very brief and rude a couple of times. We ordered the half fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the pizza drink and bread stick combo. We also got a cannoli. The bread was amazing. I'd come again for it alone. The pizza was delicious and the fettuccine while bland looking was full of flavor. The cannoli was good. We witnessed them charge an old lady for ranch which seems weird to be nickel and diming people when they're a chain. When we needed a drink the line was really long and we asked one of the workers for a refill as he was going to clean tables and he told us to get in line. (He was also helping at the counter.) The artwork is cool but confusing as I'm not sure what fish have to do with pasta and pizza. Overall not a bad experience and the bread was to die for. It's set up as an order and grab type place so it's very busy and they have a lot of noise.

This was the Giant pepperoni pizza sorry my family never waits to dig in! We love the pizza and slices are big and filling with just one!

Saggio's never disappoints if you're looking for good pizza this is the place to go for sure! Not only do they serve delicious pizza but they have pastas, salads, soup, sandwiches, calzones and desserts. The portions are big so you can share pretty much anything if you'd like to, I've had good customer service every time I have gone. It's usually pretty busy during lunch time and dinner time.

I've been a returning customer for over 10 years. Saggio's pizza is the best in town, period. Ever since my college days, Saggio's was always my go-to-place for pizza (there used to be a location inside UNM campus). Although the pizza thickness seems to have gotten thinner over the years, I love Saggio's still. I order Saggio's giant size once a month. Cost about $30 for a full giant pie but it's worth it. My favorite pizza in Albuquerque. Dion's is overrated. The best pizza I've ever had in my life was in Chicago but Saggio's is almost close enough. I definitely recommend it.

Combo place with two bread sticks and a slice of pizza with pepperoni and green Chile.

Dressed up Pizza Hut with worse food. Fettuccine Alfredo looked like it was a frozen meal. Lady taking the order was nice.

For drinks they have everything from house taps and cocktails to non-alcoholic options, including mocktails. They also make their own house infusions like beet vodka, coffee liqueur, and cucumber gin, which I thought was interesting. The service was friendly although it was busy so I wouldn't say they were fully attentive. Differential Brewing does seem like a chill spot to grab a drink and hang out with friends. My only issue was that the bathrooms were not clearly labeled and the heavy metal playlist was not my cup of tea. Still, if you are into unique drinks and a casual local scene, this is a good spot for that.

Lots of doors and roll-up windows allow them to combine or separate spaces. I'm not sure if it's a New Mexico thing, but this might be the first brewery we've been to that doesn't do flights. Too bad too because there were several we wanted to get. We ended up tasting four beers. The Bock was ok, and the Stout was pretty good. I had a pint each of the Blue Corn Lager and the Irish Red, while my wife had two pints of the Irish Red. Both were quite good. Had I had another, I would've ordered the Stout. The one knock on the place was the service. It was friendly enough. There just wasn't enough of it. Every time we needed something, it was around a 10-min wait in line. To order, to close out, etc. Not really because it was overly crowded. It just took a really long time for those in front of us to be helped by the one person tending bar at the time. Oh well. The beer was good and not overpriced. Even though the alcohol content wasn't too high, it hit the spot.

We're kind of snobby about our beer and every. single. beer is solid. I might not like reds that much but this is one that I'd actually drink. The Hefe is solid and delicious without the weird aftertaste and off flavors that 95% of them have. Just a clean, refreshing hefe. The DIPA is delicious and one of my faves. I still stand by that the IPAs here will stand up to any others we have around town and we have some good oens. We stopped in to watch football for a bit and the screens were plentiful, there was lots to do including darts, shuffleboard, and nearly every single game on at once. They've done a lot to the place and I really hope it sticks around - we need a place like this! Beers are super reasonably priced and they have a daily happy hour (including an all day happy hour on Monday!). I don't drink alcohol and I don't consume sugar, so I can either get water (takes like hose water) or they have a quanine water in a small bottle - 10oz I think and it's about $4 I think (they don't have a menu with prices online). On the plus side, if you like sports then you will like their TVs. Never a cover charge, and you can bring in food from outside since there is no kitchen here. There is plenty of parking. Overall nice place, but the service is sometimes off - usually 1 bartender on week night. In order for me and my pals to return, they need to offer more reasonably priced wine and add more non-alcohol options. Some establishments offer Athletic brand NA which I like. Clausthaler now has a new IPA NA that is wonderful, and something like a canned sparkling water - La Croix would work too.

Sadly, we found kind of a mixed bag. First, the standout items. The margaritas were fantastic; some of the best we've had in the USA and extremely generous. The pinto bean sides were some of the best we've had since returning to the States in 2013. Perhaps not quite as great as those of the shuttered El Cotorro but still stellar. Next, the tacos. We tried only two of the several tacos on offer - The El Pastor and the Pescado. Both were served in what was called "corn tortillas" but these differed from virtually any corn tortillas we've ever had in Mexico or elsewhere. They were at least twice as thick as your typical corn tortilla found in just about all Mexican taco places in Mexico and elsewhere. The consistency and taste were quite different from your normal corn tortilla also. In fact, they really didn't seem to have much taste at all, of corn or anything else. Now to the fillings. At the aforementioned El Cotorro, the meat for the Al Pastor tacos was cooked on a vertical rotating spit which was the only way we ever saw it cooked in Mexico. The meat La Reforma used in their al pastor tacos was more chunky and way drier than any we ever had in Mexico or at El Cotorro. It didn't taste similar to any al pastor tacos were ever had in Mexico. It also kind of seemed like it wasn't cooked recently whereas in Mexico you can watch the cook with a large knife carve off the meat from the vertical spit right in front of you. Usually the time between the carving and it sitting in front of you is under 10 seconds. The fish taco at La Reforma was disappointing. The fish resembled a fish stick but one without much flavor. We wouldn't order it again. We gave the mini-churros a try for dessert. Because they were so small, they were way crispier than your typical regular-sized churro. We might return but we'd skip the al pastor and the fish tacos and try some of the other tacos. But we strongly suggest that they dump their current "corn tortillas" because they're not that good. Way too thick and virtually tasteless. Lo siento. Kudos for the margaritas and the beans. The rest of what we tried didn't live up to the recent glowing review in the ABQ Journal.
