two glasses of beer on a table
    Heather B.

We are so glad we discovered this bar. Really off the beaten path. It has great beer choices. We received good service at the bar. And despite two lines of customers, we were still served rather quickly. Outside seating was covered, which we greatly appreciated.  Seating wasn't particularly comfortable, but it didn't drive us to leave fast either. This is a solid bar. I recommend it.

We were mostly interested in the vegan food truck (reviewed separately) that parked here on the Thursday evening when we visited. But thankfully the beer was pretty good and it worked well with the food from the truck. I'm not sure I would come back for the beer, but I would if that food truck is here. Call it a symbiotic relationship that works.

We remember coming to Differential Brewing back in 2019 soon after they opened. We were back today and the beer is just as good, if not better. We got to chat with Tony, the owner, and he assured us that their goals are the same as when they started. Brew great, low alcohol beers with a great atmosphere. They still have the dive bar vibe, while carrying a solid list of brews. We recommend the Earl Gray Cream Ale (a seasonal selection), the Blue Corn Cream Ale (one of their original beers), and the current Stout. There was only so much time to sample! One of my favorite pubs in a city loaded with good ones.

Nice variety of drinks and cocktails! Local beers, wine, even kombucha. I enjoy their French 75. In the summer they had so many flavors of hard slushees and now they have a seasonal menu with warm cocktails like Mulled Wine (on the drier side but my friends really liked it). Great service every visit so far! We enjoy playing a round of pool now and then. Local art featured on the walls. Pretty chill atmosphere overall.

    I love the rustic atmosphere.

This brewery has a inviting rustic ambiance. The different seating arrangements are awesome. You can choose to sit outside on the shaded front/Back patio, inside at one of their spacious booths, or by their classy pool table. I ended up ordering the Blue Corn Cream Ale. Made with local organic blue corn, this cream ale is light, crisp, with a faint earthy sweetness, and just a hint of fresh roasted corn on the nose. Great year round; pairing especially well with spicy foods. Great service and beer!! Highly recommended! PS: They also have Boozy Italian Sodas!! With countless flavors!!!

I have been here numerous times at this point and I really enjoy it. I myself am not a beer drinker but don't let the word brewery scare you away because they have plenty of fun non beer options. I have had a few different drinks here but the one that stands out in my mind is one they had on their mocktail list which was pistachio flavored that I then had them spike with vodka. I know it sounds super odd but it was delicious and one of the most unique cocktails I've ever had. The two things that bring my rating from a 5 down to a 4 is ghat they allow people to smoke cigarettes in the backyard/outside space and people do as well as the fact that there is often only one bartender so sometime it can take a minute to order and/or they are busy so they are not always as attentive as they could be. I love how the building is kind of divided so that certain seating areas have slightly different vibes and I love how the windows open in the front of the building. Overall I thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere of this bar/brewery.

Love this neighborhood bar! It has great vibes, good prices, and good drinks! The outside "backyard" is my favorite.

This is a must try for any local or visitor. The Blue Corn Cream Ale was delicious. My boyfriend loved the metal music.

What a fun new place! (New for me!)…read more The burrito was a whopper, and the tacos we got were filling as well. Loved the brownie dessert and the mango guava agua Fresca too! All in all, great meal and a great price. Two drinks, two dinners and a dessert for $48 before top.

Sadly, we found kind of a mixed bag. First, the standout items. The margaritas were fantastic; some of the best we've had in the USA and extremely generous. The pinto bean sides were some of the best we've had since returning to the States in 2013. Perhaps not quite as great as those of the shuttered El Cotorro but still stellar. Next, the tacos. We tried only two of the several tacos on offer - The El Pastor and the Pescado. Both were served in what was called "corn tortillas" but these differed from virtually any corn tortillas we've ever had in Mexico or elsewhere. They were at least twice as thick as your typical corn tortilla found in just about all Mexican taco places in Mexico and elsewhere. The consistency and taste were quite different from your normal corn tortilla also. In fact, they really didn't seem to have much taste at all, of corn or anything else. Now to the fillings. At the aforementioned El Cotorro, the meat for the Al Pastor tacos was cooked on a vertical rotating spit which was the only way we ever saw it cooked in Mexico. The meat La Reforma used in their al pastor tacos was more chunky and way drier than any we ever had in Mexico or at El Cotorro. It didn't taste similar to any al pastor tacos were ever had in Mexico. It also kind of seemed like it wasn't cooked recently whereas in Mexico you can watch the cook with a large knife carve off the meat from the vertical spit right in front of you. Usually the time between the carving and it sitting in front of you is under 10 seconds. The fish taco at La Reforma was disappointing. The fish resembled a fish stick but one without much flavor. We wouldn't order it again. We gave the mini-churros a try for dessert. Because they were so small, they were way crispier than your typical regular-sized churro. We might return but we'd skip the al pastor and the fish tacos and try some of the other tacos. But we strongly suggest that they dump their current "corn tortillas" because they're not that good. Way too thick and virtually tasteless. Lo siento. Kudos for the margaritas and the beans. The rest of what we tried didn't live up to the recent glowing review in the ABQ Journal.

From the moment we arrived, the service and ambiance were warm, welcoming, and where we wanted to be! Large and open, Bow and Arrow is spacious for folks to come for pint, small groups, as well as large groups and company events. We sat at the bar for more face-to-face service and had a great experience. We each got a flight and loved the ability to try four different beverages each since the menu is so extensive, creative, and delicious! I got the "Dos Arrows," "Wildly No. 1," "Bury My Heart," and "Lav Letters to the SW." I listed them in order of my favorites. Each beverage was complex, unique, and delicious! I would have enjoyed a full pint of each drink! Alas, 4 5oz beverages was enough! Prices are reasonable for such high quality beverages! We also loved that the brewery recognizes Indigenous land rights and supports Native American initiatives. Euro-Americans have much to learn from Native peoples, the original stewards of this land. But first, relationships, listening, and reparations are needed! We loved Bow and Arrow Brewing. We look forward to visiting again next time we are in town!
