Mead sampler. The Leprechaun Libations Series is the bomb.

Fun spot. The fish and chips were good (try the wing sauce) but the best item was the mead flight. You won't leave hungry.

This is my chile cheese fries review of the Quarter Celtic Poutine with green chile and bacon. Technically chile cheese fries with the addition of brown gravy and bacon pieces. Good presentation with the gravy having an almost smokey flavor. Green chile didn't have very much heat to it and was kind of lost. Very tasty. As an appetizer, kind of a small amount but as a single serving probably just right (although when it comes to chile cheese fries there's never enough!). Service was top notch as always. The credit card processor was down so it was a bit slow, but was a great lunch!

Atmosphere is good for wanting something chill and then also some possible social engagement. The service was good and they were attentive. The food was good quality

What an Irish delight to have for St. Patrick's day! We ordered a little bit of everything and everything was divine -- from the beef and lamb shepherd's pie, fish and chips, Rueben sandwich, and corned beef and cabbage. We didn't have to wait too long for our food considering how busy it was during the lunch hour. The apple mule was meh at best. Éirinn go Brách!

One-pound smoked sausage with beer cheese and mustard makes a good low carb lunch.

I think I've just made my fourth visit - ready to review. This outlet of Quarter Celtic Brewpub seems to provide always good, sometimes great bar food at reasonable (but not crazy good) prices. Service is always very good and has always been friendly and down-to-earth in a genuine way that stands out. There are lots of different areas to sit depending on your preference and the pleasantly decorated room has always been clean. I've not had a bad bit of food here, but - and this is weird for me because, who cares, right? - their mashed potatoes stand out as unusually great. The beers I've had are solid, but nothing that ever made me want to carry any home.

Unfortunately, our corned beef was dry and too fatty.

We were looking for a place to go for corn beef & cabbage on St. Patrick's Day today. Remembering last St Paddy's Day, we decided to go out mid-afternoon because the pubs had all been so crowded at dinnertime and later. Today, we actually ended up at this same pub that we visited last year at around 8pm. The main thing I remember about our previous visit was the small portion of corned beef. We gave it another try today because I figured they had run low last year due to us having arrived so late in the day on this popular Irish holiday. Today, the portion may have been a little larger, but what I'll remember about it is that it was dry and fatty. So disappointed because we only have this particular meal once a year. The rest of the meal (mashed potatoes & gravy and the purple cabbage with peas) was good enough. The stone ground mustard was good. I tried to substitute fries for the mashed potatoes but was told there were no subs on such a busy day. I can understand that. We should have sent our meals back for a batch of corned beef that was more moist, but if they wouldn't even substitute fries, it seemed like it'd be too big a deal. I gave an extra point because the host was in the spirit of the day with his cool Irish attire and the server was quite nice. I even saw an employee behind the bar with pointy elfin ears. So, I probably will give this pub another try sometime but I won't be ordering corned beef and I won't be returning on St Patrick's Day.

Fish tacos and sweet potato fries

4.5 stars Came here on a Tuesday night a few weeks ago and it was a little less than half full. I hadn't been to this location before, and tried the fish n'chips at the San Mateo location. My friend got the fish n'chips with fries. I got the fish tacos ($10.99) and sweet potato fries (a $2 upcharge). The fries took a little longer to come out and came in a big plate. The fries were thick, crisp, and salty. The fish tacos were a much larger portion than expected and came with several pieces of beer battered fish. Service was good (although it took a little while for the order to come out) and prices weren't too bad. 2023 #9

Sadly, we found kind of a mixed bag. First, the standout items. The margaritas were fantastic; some of the best we've had in the USA and extremely generous. The pinto bean sides were some of the best we've had since returning to the States in 2013. Perhaps not quite as great as those of the shuttered El Cotorro but still stellar. Next, the tacos. We tried only two of the several tacos on offer - The El Pastor and the Pescado. Both were served in what was called "corn tortillas" but these differed from virtually any corn tortillas we've ever had in Mexico or elsewhere. They were at least twice as thick as your typical corn tortilla found in just about all Mexican taco places in Mexico and elsewhere. The consistency and taste were quite different from your normal corn tortilla also. In fact, they really didn't seem to have much taste at all, of corn or anything else. Now to the fillings. At the aforementioned El Cotorro, the meat for the Al Pastor tacos was cooked on a vertical rotating spit which was the only way we ever saw it cooked in Mexico. The meat La Reforma used in their al pastor tacos was more chunky and way drier than any we ever had in Mexico or at El Cotorro. It didn't taste similar to any al pastor tacos were ever had in Mexico. It also kind of seemed like it wasn't cooked recently whereas in Mexico you can watch the cook with a large knife carve off the meat from the vertical spit right in front of you. Usually the time between the carving and it sitting in front of you is under 10 seconds. The fish taco at La Reforma was disappointing. The fish resembled a fish stick but one without much flavor. We wouldn't order it again. We gave the mini-churros a try for dessert. Because they were so small, they were way crispier than your typical regular-sized churro. We might return but we'd skip the al pastor and the fish tacos and try some of the other tacos. But we strongly suggest that they dump their current "corn tortillas" because they're not that good. Way too thick and virtually tasteless. Lo siento. Kudos for the margaritas and the beans. The rest of what we tried didn't live up to the recent glowing review in the ABQ Journal.

From the moment we arrived, the service and ambiance were warm, welcoming, and where we wanted to be! Large and open, Bow and Arrow is spacious for folks to come for pint, small groups, as well as large groups and company events. We sat at the bar for more face-to-face service and had a great experience. We each got a flight and loved the ability to try four different beverages each since the menu is so extensive, creative, and delicious! I got the "Dos Arrows," "Wildly No. 1," "Bury My Heart," and "Lav Letters to the SW." I listed them in order of my favorites. Each beverage was complex, unique, and delicious! I would have enjoyed a full pint of each drink! Alas, 4 5oz beverages was enough! Prices are reasonable for such high quality beverages! We also loved that the brewery recognizes Indigenous land rights and supports Native American initiatives. Euro-Americans have much to learn from Native peoples, the original stewards of this land. But first, relationships, listening, and reparations are needed! We loved Bow and Arrow Brewing. We look forward to visiting again next time we are in town!

The other guy took our orders without notes and even remembering substitutions. The food was out in no time. Our drinks were decent with the blue berry açaí cider (the blackberry cider was too dry) and one of our friends had an IPA. I had the turkey pesto, the hubby had the Nashville hot fried chicken, and our friends had the Boese and the Cali burgers. The turkey pesto had a decent amount of turkey, but needed more pesto. The Nashville hot chicken was tangy more than hot, but it had a good flavor and on the drier end. Our friends described their burgers as ok. The fries were also ok. Overall, the ambiance and service were excellent providing a chill and friendly place to talk. The food and drinks were decent.
