We went to the other location before and wanted to try this location today. Bottom line is great Irish pub food with great service. The pub is a typical pub decor. Irish family crests as well as flags. I like that by the menu is 1 page so they can focus on their food. The men's bathrooms are hilariously decorated. My kids and hubby all got the Celtic trio. This is great since you get you get small portions of Irish favorites. The had bangers and mash, shepards pie, sausage and cabbage, corn beef and cabbage. I had the Pedro fish plate. An Albuquerque staple opened on the east side in 2019, and we couldn't not come and try them. A very cozy, dim-lit, Irish-decorated and vibrant ambiance makes Quarter Celtic a nice neighborhood pub for good brews and fun on trivia Wednesdays. All staff were very nice and kind. Even with a small selection of beer, their choices are solid with lager, red ale, stout, IPA, a rich Scotch ale, some ciders, and some seasonal picks. For our food, we ordered The King's Fish and Chips (half) and the Brewer's Beef. The King's Fish and Chips had a big piece of fried salmon that flavorful with a nice crunchy breading. On the other hand, the Brewer's beef was scant in roast beef and plentiful with grilled onions and a sharp horseradish. While the King's was wonderful, the Brewer's was unfortunate. Overall, this was a mixed experience with one good and one not-so-good experience at a place that is inviting and fun. read more

Was going to the bakery next door when saw it was closed so figured I'd give this a try. Glad I did. Asked the server what was their specialty she recommended the fish and chips. Glad she did. The fish was very good and cooked with enough crisp on the outside and flavorful inside. I enjoy fish but can only get it occasionally. The chips were ok but seemed like they were not homemade which was a bit of a disappointment. My apologies if they are homemade. The slaw I and let me emphasize the I didn't care for. It had a flavor that wasn't for me HOWEVER it may be great for someone else. I prefer my slaw a bit sweeter and not as dry but that's just me. This is my chile cheese fries review of the Quarter Celtic Poutine with green chile and bacon. Technically chile cheese fries with the addition of brown gravy and bacon pieces. Good presentation with the gravy having an almost smokey flavor. Green chile didn't have very much heat to it and was kind of lost. Very tasty. As an appetizer, kind of a small amount but as a single serving probably just right (although when it comes to chile cheese fries there's never enough!). Service was top notch as always. I showed up here the day after St Patrick's Day and on a trivia night, so it was pretty busy. That said my wait for a table was pretty short and the person at the front was very good about keeping us informed about wait times. Trivia looks like a lot of fun, I may have to come back for that, but now back to the real portion of this review.... We got the fried pickles to share and I got the fish and chips with the sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were cooked just right and very tasty. The fried pickles and the fish were both good, but the breading was a bit overwhelming for me. I tend to prefer a lighter breading on my fried items. That said, if this is your style they were quite good. The only drawback on trivia night (or any crowded night) is that the place can be quite loud so a bit challenging to have a conversation without shouting and contributing to the noise. My husband and I split the Celtic trio at Quarter Celtic and really enjoyed everything in it. From the variety of choices we were offered, we selected fish and chips, shepherd's pie, and a Scotch egg. We'd heard good things about the fish and chips, and it didn't disappoint. The lightly battered and seasoned fish was fresh, crispy, and delicious, and the fries were good too. I'd never eaten a Scotch egg (a hard-cooked egg wrapped in sausage, rolled in bread crumbs, and deep-fried) and thought it was quite tasty. The shepherd's pie was also very good; you could taste the MacLomas stout they use in the gravy but it wasn't overwhelming. I'm Irish and naturally will eat at any IRish place. I go to the one on Juan Tabo, and have also ordered takeout. They do the fish n' chips just right and not too greasy. The cole slaw has definitely improved with teh creamier base. The atmosphere is homey and the staff are very nice. read more

Friendly Irish themed place with a great menu plus lots of Craft beers. I decided to try the Corned Beef and cabbage. I was disappointed in the cabbage. The corned beef was great. BUT, the cabbage was purple, half cooked, and the cabbage heart chunk was on my plate. I love cabbage but, I couldn't finish this cabbage and when our server came back I let her know so she could tell the cook. Sorry that I didn't take a pic but I should have. My friend was pleased with his Fish and Chips w Sweet Potato Fries. We shared their fabulous Pecan Pie. Our server gave us a discount on our ticket bc of the disappointing cabbage. I think I've just made my fourth visit - ready to review. This outlet of Quarter Celtic Brewpub seems to provide always good, sometimes great bar food at reasonable (but not crazy good) prices. Service is always very good and has always been friendly and down-to-earth in a genuine way that stands out. There are lots of different areas to sit depending on your preference and the pleasantly decorated room has always been clean. I've not had a bad bit of food here, but - and this is weird for me because, who cares, right? - their mashed potatoes stand out as unusually great. We were looking for a place to go for corn beef & cabbage on St. Patrick's Day today. Remembering last St Paddy's Day, we decided to go out mid-afternoon because the pubs had all been so crowded at dinnertime and later. Today, we actually ended up at this same pub that we visited last year at around 8pm. The main thing I remember about our previous visit was the small portion of corned beef. We gave it another try today because I figured they had run low last year due to us having arrived so late in the day on this popular Irish holiday. Today, the portion may have been a little larger, but what I'll remember about it is that it was dry and fatty. So disappointed because we only have this particular meal once a year. The rest of the meal (mashed potatoes & gravy and the purple cabbage with peas) was good enough. The stone ground mustard was good. I tried to substitute fries for the mashed potatoes but was told there were no subs on such a busy day. I can understand that. We should have sent our meals back for a batch of corned beef that was more moist​, but if they wouldn't even substitute fries, it seemed like it'd be too big a deal. I gave an extra point because the host was in the spirit of the day with his cool Irish attire and the server was quite nice. I even saw an employee behind the bar with pointy elfin ears. So, I probably will give this pub another try sometime but I won't be ordering corned beef and I won't be returning on St Patrick's Day. read more

I had the same experience as another patron over the weekend. Our family decided to go on Sunday to avoid the St. Patrick's Day partygoers but still celebrate. The waitress was short, rude, unhelpful, and impolite. It was not a good experience. The food was mediocre (I have been here in the past and enjoyed the food) and they were apparently out of ALL the desserts at a 5pm dinner service? We left and went to dairy queen. We would've stayed and purchased more beers for the party but the server was so unpleasant, we decided not to. My friend got the fish n'chips with fries. I got the fish tacos ($10.99) and sweet potato fries (a $2 upcharge). The fries took a little longer to come out and came in a big plate. The fries were thick, crisp, and salty. The fish tacos were a much larger portion than expected and came with several pieces of beer battered fish. All I have to say here is FISH TACOS. People! Please please please try their fish tacos. They are sooooo delicious and super spicy. Just the perfect flavor to them. I usually splurge and get sweet potato fries with them instead of the beans because Im just not a bean fan. I came one time with a friend and we were super hungry and ordered the large fried pickles. That was a colossal mistake because the large is absolutely HUGE. Im guessing the large would be a big enough appetizer for 10 people. The next time we ordered the small and it was perfect size. You can't go wrong with their Mexican lager and I also love their stout. Delicious food, great beer, fast and friendly service. They have trivia some nights and the place is fun and casual. My husband and I just left Quarter Celtic on Juan Tabo in Albuquerque today 07/16/25 at 2 pm. We ordered drinks and Wednesday Wings!!! They had no grapefruit juice or cranberry juice for a mixed drink. I ordered a margarita and it was blah. After we started the drinks, she told us they were OUT of wings. We should have left but we aren't rude. We thought we would just go with the flow. We ordered sandwiches and those were decent. Overall, the place is overpriced, disappointing, and had one waitress that never smiled. We will never go back. There are too many better places - even an Applebee's restaurant. We don't eat out much. It's too expensive -- but when it's expensive and very bad service, it absolutely ruined the overall experience for our lunch out together. Don't go. read more

The Juan Tabo Celtic Quarter has the same good grub as their other location. Mid-afternoon phoned in fish 'n chips to-go order was ready in short order. About ten minutes. Batter fried haddock was well executed: crunchy outside, tender inside. No oily taste or texture. Included cole slaw had a bit of bite to it. Jalapenos? Hot sauce? Maybe. Nice at any rate. Tartar sauce was okay, just typical standard stuff. The baby size lemon wedge in a little plastic cup was cute. Besides cellophane plastic flatware packs, there were a couple malt vinegar packets and plenty of ketchup packs for the fries too. Demerit for fries being somewhat limp, although still plenty warm when they hit the table. I'd easily and gladly hit up the Eastside location of Quarter Celtic for grub again, as well as have a pint of stout if dining in. read more

She thought it was delicious but agreed it could have been accompanied by a vegetable. I got a soup special of the day which was good but not as described by the server. It was a chipotle flavored and I thought it was more of a southwestern style but it was more like an Irish stew which did not pair well with the fish tacos I ordered. The fish tacos were good but a bit dry and bland since there was basically nothing inside the tortilla with the fish. My side was coleslaw which was the most bland slaw ever. I think that it's hit or miss here and that they servers don't care very much when an honest response is given to the question about "how is everything'? Still, QC has a lot of fans and so be it. I really loved this place. I came here on a Friday around 5pm and it was pretty packed. I got the Shepard's pie and it was delicious. My dad got the fish and chips and he said "very good". The he corrected and said "excellent"! My mom had the beef stew and she said it was good but could have been thicker. my daughter got the kids fish and chips and she seemed to really enjoy it.
