    Guinness Stew! Delicious

Somewhat disappointed. I have not been here in a few years. It used to be my favorite place for fish and chips and in particular the Liffey chips. But today, they were not so good. Service was very good, atmosphere is always Irish! Love it for that and will come back again.

Food was delicious! Fresh and so flavorful! Service was great! Our waitress Jordan was attentive, but not overly attentive. Very authentic setup, and relaxed ambiance-they had over 200 different types of whiskey. Bag players graced us with a couple of tunes. I highly recommend stopping in!

Still my number one favorite Irish Pub in ABQ!! I FINALLY had their Irish breakfast and it took me back to Ireland! Oh how I missed the black pudding. The Irish breakfast itself was about $22 and is served on Sundays only! They have their Celtic jam sessions on Sunday so it was a great flashback to my time in Ireland. Irish breakfast. Guinness. Celtic music. Gotta love it. If you've never been to Ireland and want a taste, visit here Sunday mornings. Order the Irish breakfast and chow down. Try the black pudding! It's delicious! I asked for baked beans with my meal to substitute the mushrooms.

As we approached Albuquerque after leaving Santa Fe, I asked Diane to find a good lunch spot on Yelp, and she came up with Two Fools Tavern. We parked our car a block away and walked inside and saw a typical woodsy Irish pub with an impressive-looking long bar and some tables. We then sat soon at a table near the front door. Here I enjoyed some Fries and a hot New York style Rula Bula Ruben Sandwich that was packed with Corned Beef and just the right amount of Sauerkraut, Swiss Cheese, and 1000 Island Dressing. The Rye Bread was also well grilled; the Fries skinny. Diane's Fish & Chips consisted of the same Fries, creamy Coleslaw, and two large pieces of battered Haddock that were well bronzed. They were served on newsprint just like in London. After thinking that all that was missing for me was a pickle, I found one on my plate. Service was excellent, and we really liked the Old World ambiance.

My wife loves chicken pot pie so I brought her here to try theirs. She said it tasted pretty good but she likes the traditional crust better. I had the fish n chips and the fish was big and delicious. I wasn't crazy about the apple slaw that came with it , to me it was a little bland. The pub was very crowded but we got seared pretty quickly. Overall it was a very good experience and we will definitely go back again

Good food, great service, authentic pub ambience- we would definitely come back! FOOD- My husband and I shared the Scotch Eggs (hard boiled eggs wrapped in sausage and breadcrumbs, served with mustard). A bit too tough and bitter for me, but my husband liked them. They're known for their fish & chips, so I ordered a single fillet. It was huge! The tartar sauce really makes the dish - very flavorful. My husband had the cottage pie. He enjoyed it, but he loved his serving of the 15 year old Redbreast Irish whiskey! They have quite the selection. SERVICE- our waitress was amazing! I wish I could remember her name. Very attentive, helpful, and sweet. AMBIANCE- it feels like a legit pub! It's a bit dark, but it's cozy, has a lot of seating, and plenty of TVs to watch games.

Delicious cottage pie and perfect for a cool autumn evening. I love this place for its comfort food, its cozy atmosphere, and the service. Good size portions big enough to eat some and take home some for later. They were busy in a Tuesday evening but it's no surprise because they are that good. Fortunately my husband and I were able to grab two seats at the bar. And the bartender was amazing. Highly recommend for a nice delicious Irish meal.

What's left of fish and chips - A plate with leftover fish and chips, including tartar sauce in a small blue dish, is placed on newspaper-style wrapping on a pub table. There are utensils, a glass of dark soda, and a pint of beer nearby. The setting appears to be a casual Irish pub with a wooden table and other food and drink items visible in the background.

Service fantastic. The ambiance feels really authentic. The food is okay. Sheppards pie, fish and chips. Guinness is fantastic. It's always busy.

My friend and I came here for dinner one night and boy was it busy! We waited about 20 minutes then got seated. The place is dark so it can be hard to read your menu, some other tables were using their phones flash light to read the menu. Even though it was super busy and packed, our server was friendly and attentive. Their fish and chips is such a huge portion, I couldn't finish half of it! Definitely would go back for them again.

HALF portion of fish and chips - A plate featuring a large piece of fried fish with golden-brown batter, accompanied by French fries, coleslaw, and a small bowl of tartar sauce. The dish is served on a tray lined with newspaper-style paper, with additional food items and condiments visible around it.

Two Fools came up prominently when Blondie and I were traveling through, looking for an alternative to the fast food we'd been eating for days. The interior was classic Irish Pub, very warm and inviting, but it took a while for someone to notice us. Even though there was a Pleae Wait to be Seated sign, they just waved us to go anywhere. Ok. We ordered chips and salsa to start, and had to return them because WOW that salsa was hot. Couldn't eat it. For dinner I order a half portion of fish and chips, and thank goodness I didn't get the full order. It was huge. I also got a Jameson and Guinness, because I'm a walking Irish stereotype. Blondie got quesadillas, which were excellent. I liked this place a lot, and the couple at the next table struck up a conversation with us (or we did, with them; can't remember).

I absolutely love Two Fools. I love that they have a pub atmosphere, I adore the wood burning fireplace in the winter, and I'm over the moon about their fish and chips. It is my go to comfort spot and their food is amazing. Best fish and chips in the city plus they have a ginormous whiskey selection. There is a generous serving of hot crispy fries, huge pieces of fish, battered and fried to perfection, along with the house made apple slaw. Comes with delicious house made tartar sauce, that I like to get extra of for my fries. Malt vinegar and ketchup are provided of course to complement your meal. Their Irish nachos are always a winner, crispy house made chips, cottage pie beef, green chile, and a generous covering of cheese, a heaping plateful as big as your head, plenty to share. Jesters pot pie is to die for flaky crust with delicious tender chicken and veggies. The servers and bartenders are always nice and friendly, happy to make a recommendation for you if you just can't choose among all the delicious options. I'm happy they made it through the ART project and COVID. It would have been a shame to lose a place like this.

Sunday Lunch at O'Neil's - Ticket #27…read more Our Sunday lunch at O'Neil's started promisingly but unfortunately fell short on service follow-through. We were seated quickly at 12:05, and our server promptly took our order and brought water, noting that our food would be "out right away." That seemed reasonable, as both items we ordered -- the corned beef and the turkey jack sandwich -- are typically straightforward and quick to prepare. However, the timing unfolded quite differently. By 12:20, one of our glasses was empty, and no straw had been provided despite an earlier request. When the server checked in, I asked again for a water refill and the straw; both were finally delivered, along with another assurance that our food was "coming right out." At 12:30 -- twenty-five minutes after ordering -- the server again repeated that phrase, only this time adding that "some things take longer than others," even though tables seated after us were already eating. Our meals finally arrived at 12:45 -- nearly forty minutes after ordering. To the restaurant's credit, both dishes were excellent: the corned beef was tender and juicy, and the turkey jack sandwich tasted freshly made and served hot. But while the kitchen clearly delivered on quality, the front-of-house experience did not match that same care. The repeated "right away" comments, the lack of proactive attention, and the absence of even a brief apology for the delay made the experience feel inattentive.O'Neil's has great food potential, but stronger time management and more genuine communication from servers would make a world of difference.
