Lamb / Agnello Bruschetta Caprese: Ciabatta, fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil
    Yelen P.

Food - got the agnello, it was good! I liked the chunks of lamb. Also got Bruschetta Caprese, which was an appropriate portion size for an appetiser. Forgot to take a photo of this until after I ate it. Service - good, no complaints. Appropriately attentive Ambiance - small, laidback feel. Comfortable, not extremely fancy, food is solid

    The puttanesca, front and center

A very personable place, I sat by the bar because it was going to be a night of reservations. I had a large appetizer of olives, misto salad, and pollo puttanesca. The olives were warm (a nice surprise) and more than I could finish. The misto salad was similarly generous and was a good accompaniment to the puttanesca which was a bit watery for my tastes (it should be like a pinch on your cheeks by nonna herself with flavor) but that did not matter. This was a surprise neighborhood find that was not overwhelmed by balloon fiesta visitors. Lots of people lingered which is a nice indirect endorsement.

Lovely place where groups of people seem to be a tables. Ah, the holidays and a nice Italian restaurant. We did the same meeting up as a party of seven last night. Clean, inviting, and with a decent abbreviated menu. They picked the right things to go on it. The server was very attentive and kept my water glass full. I liked their rolls offered. Choosing the spaghetti marinara (easy on the sauce) with sausage (a little spicy) was a good meal. This is on the list for when we visit family here again.

Food was very good. This may seem petty but I don't like that they charge for refills of iced tea.

It is a very small space, but they have great outdoor seating and they really make it work with what they have. They temporarily closed a few years ago and I was sincerely devastated. They have since come back better and stronger, with a cheese shop just down the street. I'm so excited about their success and look forward to eating there every chance I get. The bread is clearly baked fresh and was nice and crusty on the outside and fluffy with the perfect chew on the inside. My mini me 1 inhaled her grilled cheese (of which my husband ordered the full size and also demolished his), and mini me 2 and I shared the toasted tuna melt. Good balance of tuna, celery, and bread ratio, but I didn't dig the olives in it. There's a mini kale salad that comes with entrees, and it was healthy and palatable for kale. We did end up balancing that green with the pistachio cruffin and pistachio chocolate chip cookie. Would definitely go back for the cruffin with its flaky layers and luscious pastry cream. Cookie was less impressive but still worth the impulse buy. Indoor and breezy outdoor seating available. Highly recommend!

We ordered and got a table inside right away. First impression is that its very inviting and cozy. Staff was so friendly. We ordered the lemon herb turkey sandwich, tuna toastie sandwich, and croque madam. Every single sandwich was absolutely delicious. The turkey had fresh dill and sprouts, avocado and this lemon jam which was the star. Tuna was so good. Some tuna is really fishy and this one had such a great flavor and the croque madam with that side of mustard was such a great combination. It was so good I came back during the week and had the beef sirlion sandwich that was so flavorful with the arugula and onion jam and had to finish it off with the best lemon blueberry muffin. Highly recommend if you are looking for good food with great flavor combinations.

Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. We will be back to try 4 or five other things. I look forward to my return.

In a rare turn of events, both kids got the same thing, the Korean chicken bites with the sauce on the side, which was a great decision bc it did have a kick to it. The chicken itself was a bit dry. Both adults also got the pork belly flatbread. I found it a bit unbalanced with too much sauce and not enough other toppings, and the base wasn't as crispy as I prefer. Speaking of crispy, we opted for the appetizer brussel sprouts, and they were a bit chewy and on the not so super crispy side. Service was fine, and glad to have a little break from heavier New Mexican cuisine on this night. Lots of variety on the cocktail and adult beverage menu too.

I told them I'd heard about it and they searched. happily found it, and purchased a very fab chocolate cake. One of my girls loves to decorate so they bought just plain and decorated it. They also purchased cookies and sweets for the occasion, all awesome. I recently was on the East side of ABQ, looked up the address and found it was close to I40, so decided to try it myself. Very unassuming building, with little identification but so happy I stopped. Inside was clean, well lit, and lots of choices for sweets, and not so sweet pizzas, pie crusts, ready to bake options and of course, cakes, doughnuts, cinnamon rolls and dinner rolls. Helpful staff but not pushy, although I'm not sure if they were reluctant to offer help to avoid being pushy, but as a first time customer, I would have enjoyed being greeted and acknowledged a bit friendlier. Maybe just like " welcome, is this your first time here/" because it is a bit overwhelming in what is offered. There is a nice area to sit and enjoy your food in the back, although it was a bit dark, and not well marked, but very clean and cozy. I have been back a couple of more times and now that I know it is close to my major West to East driving path I will definitely add to my regular stops on that side of town. One of the things I appreciated most was being able to eat without worrying about cross-contamination since the entire facility is gluten-free. That peace of mind is hard to find in New Mexico. Before leaving, we grabbed a cinnamon roll and a pecan sticky bun to go. They both looked really good! We heated them up when we got gone and both were great. Overall, it was a great experience.
