i've been coming here for 11 years and I'm still completely addicted because it's the best restaurant in Albuquerque, hands-down. love love love!

    Breakfast tacos - red sauce

Lovely cafe with a chill atmosphere and outdoor seating. I was looking for a dog friendly place and this was definitely it. The service was friendly and food delicious. I had the breakfast taco with mild chili sauce. They were tasty. I didn't have room for desert but I wanted to try the homemade ice cream, maybe next time I'll just come for desert.

As an avid foodie and reviewer, I have always believed the people and their craft makes the place and Cafe Lush has this down to an art form. It is very evident that they put their heart and souls into their work for which I have deep respect and admiration. That in itself shall make me return here on my next Albuquerque layover. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and Amy's hospitality and service reflected in it. The other lady whose name I didn't get was also equally awesome. The cafe itself is very cozy with a warm atmosphere whether inside or outside. For dining I opted for the breakfast tacos and I'll say this, sometimes the best food is the simplest. One bite and I knew I made the right choice (even gave me ideas for cooking at home!). The tortillas were in harmony with the eggs and veggies and absolutely hit the spot. 5 stars from me and I shall definitely recommend it to my colleagues for their layovers! Make sure you do the "Christmas" chili!

We've wanted to visit Cafe Lush downtown for a while but couldn't coordinate our schedules with their business hours. Thankfully, we made it work today. We snagged the last indoor table and perused the menu. Cafe Lush has a special brunch menu on weekends which includes your choice of any beverage they offer, which is a nice touch. My iced mocha and my husband's iced caramel macchiato were both very good. I considered trying the Lush Benedict but bacon was calling my name so I went with the breakfast plate - the aforementioned bacon, two eggs, brunch potatoes, toast, fresh fruit, and a mini-muffin. Everything was delicious. I'm not sure what they put on the bacon, but I detected a little sweetness and some warm spices. My husband had the breakfast tacos, which were also great - eggs, cheese, red chile, and avocado in super-fresh corn tortillas. So good. Service was great, friendly and efficient. It's kinda loud, so don't come here expecting to enjoy a quiet, intimate conversation with anyone. It might be quieter outside but it was hot. I need to come back and try the Benedict!

The service is a 10/10, all staff is super attentive and friendly. The space is cute, but small, so if you go at a busy time you won't have a place to sit but my group went at 11:30 on a weekday and we had no problem. The food was pretty good, I liked the mango salad a lot!

Ordered the breakfast burrito , xmas on side (the red is soooo good i asked for an extra side of red, which im always a die hard fan of xmas or green) i ordered mine with lush bacon (expect for a sweetness to it i think it has cinnamon with other seasonings) was a pleasant surprise to actually taste it, compared to more salty/savory bacon. I ordered the saturday brunch meal came out rounding to $20 ($19 and some change) ofc i added a tip on top of that. the brunch included a drink as well ( i didn't see alcoholic beverages ) their version of iced mocha and it was amazing! Lots of GF/Vegan/"normal" options. very accommodating , helpful and great service. Will def be going back ! I would give it a 4.5/5 stars if i could (only con was the papas , menu stated it has green onions and sour cream and the onions were present but no taste of sour cream and was a little dry due to that ) besides that a great meal ! would order again easily !

While in Albuquerque for a conference, we stopped by Cafe Lush for brunch and had a fantastic experience. The moment we walked into the door, the wait staff welcomed us with kindness and warmth. We arrived early enough to beat the rush and were seated right away. As newbies, we asked the waitress about what she would recommend. She let us know that the breakfast pizza was an iconic dish, so we each got that. We added a side of sausage for each of us because we're carnivores and it was super scrumptious! The breakfast pizza was delicious, hearty, and full of flavor. We each devoured ours and walked away full! We also loved the house made cinnamon bread which was a hearty and delicious side dish! Yum! The side salad was also very yummy, and healthy! To start, we each got the the Lush Cafe latte and loved how it was not too sweet, yet still full of flavor. A great morning wake up beverage! The prices were very reasonable, the seating area was cute and cozy, and the ambiance was intimate and welcoming. We loved every aspect of our visit and would definitely come back the next time we are in town.

I am visiting Albuquerque and wanted to try this place out since everything on the menu can be made gluten free. I have really missed breakfast burritos and they had a delicious one I was able to customize. Also their green chile sauce is to die for! Loved the red sauce too. Their coffee is super yummy and not bitter at all. I also tried the hot chocolate and it was so delicious, not too sweet and beautifully presented. They also have tons of vegan and vegetarian options too. I highly recommend!

Super cute little spot! Ample outside seating and seating inside but I'd rather sit outside when the weather is nice. My friend and I met for breakfast. I had the Lush Benedict and my friend had the Lushaladas. I really enjoyed the tasty hash browns with scallions and the homemade red chili hollandaise. My friend loved her dish as well. Both plates had a cute little gluten free muffin and lovely fruit. Their code is good too as they use Red Rock Roasters. The staff was so friendly and all them help out and make sure you have everything you need. They keep your coffee cup hot and full. There was a car wreck a few clocks down and one of the servers, Amy, ran down to check the people out. Ran back to have someone call 911 and get some water to the person in the wreck. Nice to see such caring people! I'll be coming back. Thank you!

Fast friendly service. Our waitress was new and so adorable. Food was hot, generous and delicious. The Mandi's white chocolate Mocha was heaven. The pizza was soooo delightful. Cute small establishment with a special Lush Dust Bacon you just have to try.

Great food and service! With the breakfast burrito, you get a choice of three items. I picked spinach, egg, and their wonderful bacon! Order that as a side even! Super friendly staff. Loved the outdoor seating on this beautiful day I was there. Great find!

    Iced oat milk chai tea.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in, seats were available, and the servers were very friendly. The food came out fast and was plated attractively. I got the tofu scramble and then crispy bacon with an chai tea. I enjoyed the sourdough toast, but everything else was just mediocre and... there. I felt I could make it all at home and might like it a little more that way. Both my dining companion and I agreed the bacon had a coffee-like taste to it; it was an unusual flavor neither of us enjoyed. The service was great, and quick, but the food wasn't anything to write home about and I don't think I'd go back.

The area looks old and poor, but near the restaurant, we didn't see anything sketchy. When we were leaving, we did see some homeless people at the main intersection, but we didn't see anything we'd describe as sketchy. We did notice there is a mobile home park behind the restaurant, but there is a wall between the mobile home park and the restaurant parking lot. Even if there were police surrounding the mobile home park, we'd still venture inside to eat. The food is that good. We shared the cowboy breakfast burrito and the Santa Fe pancakes. Both were filling and ridiculously good. The Santa Fe pancakes made with blue corn, roasted piñons, green chili, and cheddar jack cheese were different than anything else we've ever had. I'll admit I didn't love my first bite or two, but the more I ate, the more I wanted. The pancakes are dry, but if you drizzle some syrup, it's the perfect match. The accompanying eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. The cowboy breakfast burrito is massive, filling, and worth every calorie. Even though we were stuffed, we had to get the peach with green chile turnover. We asked if the turnover is served warm and our waitress replied that she could warm it up for is. I'm not sure that it is normally served warm, but I highly recommend it. The turnover flaky, the glaze was silky once warmed up and the peach with green chile was unique and delicious. Five star service and food. I highly recommend Vick's Vittles and hope that I'm in the area again so I can try more of this delicious food.

I say this as someone who lives in a rural setting but who has lived in some of the biggest cities in the world and as a person who's not easily scared off by "rough" neighborhoods. It's perfectly safe, but you want your wits about you as you come and go. Service is fantastically efficient, friendly, and thorough. There were many picnic tables to eat outside and it was a small building, so most people were eating outside. The Inside When I first walked in it felt nice, people were talking Luckily not too loud. Then I looked around for where I placed our order and I easily found it. *It was right in front* Ordering So then I ordered the item "Just buttermilk and cream", and then I asked for a side of syrup and bacon. And I got an orange juice for my drink. Then I walked down to the patio, it had lots of greenery. Which was nice because the patio wasn't so exposed, and it had some sort of glass which blocked out the sun which also was very nice. And they gave me my orange juice right when I ordered it which was different in a good way. The Drink So I found a table where I sat down and sipped my drink ,unfortunately the drink was a bit cooler than room temperature. But I wanted it to be colder than it was, however the plastic that they used was hard and secure which felt nice in my hands. And at the near end of my experience it was getting pulp in it which was not pleasant. The Service My food came out in about 4 - 8 minutes. The food And when it did come out it looked really good. It was a big belgium waffle which had tons of whipped cream and strawberry slices, and the bacon looked nice. My first bite was of the bacon, unfortunately it was a lot more chewy then I liked my bacon. And then I grabbed my fork and cut a piece of my waffle, dipped it in some syrup, and then I took a bite. It was AMAZING, it was sweet but not too sweet. The syrup with the softness of the waffle was so good, and the waffle was easy to cut. The VALUE So what I got with the item was a big belgian waffle, lots of whipped cream, and over 15 strawberry slices for $10. I would say it's worth it. And I am pretty sure that I've seen smaller waffles items for the same price at other restaurants. Conclusion Overall, It was a Really good experience. Good value, Great food, Great service, and an okay drink. I would go back to Waffletopia. My only Suggestions are :If you come expect a big portion and don't get the orange juice Which leads to my star ranking. 4.5 Stars
