The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was such a nice treat. For breakfast, I had the Nova Lox Bagel on a freshly toasted everything bagel with all the fixings. Everything tasted fresh, and the combination of flavors was fantastic! One of the highlights was definitely the atmosphere. The beautiful panoramic view of the city made the experience even more enjoyable and added so much to the overall aesthetic. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can enjoy the scenery while relaxing with your coffee and breakfast. Was a great place to hang out with yelpers and anyone else who you want to show off ABQ to. Great location with beautiful views of the town and nice place that has plenty of room for another well hosted event that Mia put on. The sliders were perfectly cooked and nice combination with those tasty fries, with nice dipping choices. All the staff were attentive, friendly with clearing plates, getting drinks and refills....oh and the dessert! My first visit to this establishment was September 24, 2026. I attended this part of a Yelp event. There is plenty of parking. The view of and the Valley is breathtaking. I do not have a chance to review the entire menu, because this event centered around sliders and french fries. The food is well prepared, and the french fries are really tasty. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Overall, I think this is a solids 4 out of 5 stars, but I'm adding a star for the view. By the way, the owner himself was present, attentive, and interactive, and checked on people to make sure they were enjoying themselves. That's a nice touch read more

Visited with 2 friends recently. At first, I did not know where it was because I'd never been to the Sandia Tram before. So, you need to drive behind the front of the building to find the restaurant's signs. Walk up the steps or take the elevator. Once inside the decor is sort of rustic. Dinner service begins at 5pm. We arrived at 4:30 and had time to peruse the menus and order beverages. Service is top notch, and so is the food. Kudos to both the servers and the kitchen staff. The three of us were impressed with the quantity and quality of the food ~ at resonable prices. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is due to the "chairs" which are not comfortable for plus size persons. There are a few high top tables with stools but for those of us more senior and short people we can't manage the height of the stools. We look forward to visiting many times to come! read more

First time here. It's been at least 25 years since I've been at the location where the tram is. This new place has a huge menu! The coffee options are huge. Food options are plenty and lunch starts serving at 10 which surprised me. I ordered the brisket nachos while a friend ordered the truffle fries. OMGOODNESS those fries were delicious, crispy and frankly outstanding! I love me some fries and these rank right up there! Maybe I should note the delicious fries in NM. Aside from when we ordered and when food was delivered, no one came to check on us or refill water. Didn't actually realize that till now as I'm writing this review. I ordered a mediocre Bloody Mary. It has no celery stalk or green olives. It was okay but certainly not worth $13 in my opinion. Nachos were okay. Didn't finish them. But those fries! I'll come just to get fries and a beer! This place was okay. The food is catered to tourists, which tracks since it is at the tram. The salsa was super bland, a lot of onion mostly. I liked the green chile cheese burger, the chicken wings and the drinks were good. The portions are pretty large too. My daughter's kids quesadilla was huge and came with guacamole and pico, which was surprising for a kids option. Also, it's at the tram, so great views. The service was poor. I wouldn't say anyone was rude, just not hospitable. Like maybe they are new to full-service. When we walked in there is no signage about "seat yourself" or "wait to be seated" and the staff does not greet anyone. I also saw two other parties with the same experience as we ate. I cannot tell you our servers name, because she never introduced herself. There was no selling up of the menu. Homestead -- my Sunday spot Dr. Brown's cherry soda is my favorite soft drink, and I never expected to find it in Albuquerque. That was the first surprise. The pasta and the daily specials have kept the surprises coming -- every visit turns up something new. As a northeastern transplant, I get the best of both worlds here. The service and the selection remind me of the restaurants back east, and then I look up at those views and remember why Albuquerque is its own kind of wonder. The atmosphere is easy and unhurried, exactly what a Sunday should feel like. If you're feeling adventurous, order a cocktail. They're made by a real New York bartender, and it shows. What a gem! I can't believe I never knew about this spot until now. Affordable coffee & food with the best view! I went on a Sunday morning and the restaurant was incredibly empty. Abundance of seating with different areas- such as a couch overlooking the tram, general tables & outdoor seating. The outdoor area has heaters so you can even look out onto the city comfortably in the Winter. Another key to my heart- they have mug coffee with unlimited refills.... What! I loved this spot. Perfect breakfast or lunch stop on your way to the tram or honestly just bypassing the tram and enjoying the view. This is my new go to for out of towners visiting. This place has a ton of potential! We visited on a Sunday morning, where they don't do full service till 11, I believe. We ordered at the counter and it was clear all employees are very new to the system: it took a while for the guy to ring in the order. They also had a very young busser working (maybe 10-12 years old) who was struggling a bit. The food was good, we ordered the egg sandwich and chocolate chip pancakes. The best part was the view, this could potentially be one of the best brunch spots in Albuquerque if they try. The coffee was a little on the weaker side, but I liked the latte art. The burrito was pretty good - flavorful with just the right kick from the green chile. The vibe here is pretty chill. They got board games you can borrow while you wait for the tram and a little gift shop nearby. There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Service was welcoming. Homestead Cafe is a welcome new addition at the base of the Sandia Tram, with a broad menu that goes well beyond breakfast and includes lunch, dinner, and a separate two-page brunch selection. Ordering at the counter is a little different, but the food is still brought to your table, and the employees were friendly throughout the visit. The standout was the 12 oz. green chile stew, which was excellent: hearty, well-seasoned, and packed with tender chunks of pork and cubed potatoes with just enough heat to clear the sinuses. The ham and cheese sandwich was much less memorable, with thin bread, plenty of ham, and so little cheese that it was easy to miss. The fries were only lukewarm despite the runner's warning that they were hot, so timing may have been off slightly. Drinks were also on the pricey side, and the iced tea came in three sizes but without refills. The views are hard to beat, with plenty of window seating and an outdoor patio that makes the location as appealing as the food. Overall, it's worth a visit for the setting and the green chile stew, and I'm interested in trying more of the menu next time. Open 8AM-8PM. read more

Beautiful view, terrible service and food. The staff are extremellyyyy slow! Took over an hour and a half to get our simple breakfast and we waited over half an hour just for our water to be served. The "breakfast potatoes" are really overcooked dry fries and we asked for red chile and got green instead. When we asked why apparently they were out of red. The green chile is not homemade. Came to Sandia Peak Tramway and I watched a YouTube video about this cafe and the owner who lived here left and came back to create a great space to eat, hang out or have hot or cold drinks. We just had our tramway ride and decided to try this out! I loved the coffee I had but not much of their blueberry sconce fan. Right texture for the sconce but not entirely for me. Probably the hot food is better or just didn't get to try the rest and they have a wide array of baked goods. They have board games, and thrift store area. The food is hit or miss. We've been two times and the service is terrible. They leave empty plates on the table. You have to ask for more water every time. The servers just aren't trained very well. Our food was sitting at the kitchen for 7 minutes before our server decided to bring it to us. They weren't even busy. Just disappointing. Does anyone have any suggestions for good food and good service? My husband said the burger was good. The quesadilla was moist and not in a good way. I went with my friend and our kiddos for brunch and we were so amazed! The views were incredible, staff were all so attentive and sweet to us. They made sure we were well taken care of the entire visit, that itself was refreshing!! Not only did they make us moms feel special but included the kids and that was heartwarming. The kids were free to play in the game area and we were so thankful that was there for them to use! The food was spectacular! One of the better breakfast spots in abq by far. From the time we ordered two simple breakfast BLT sandwiches till when we got them was 45 minutes. We ate the sandwiches in 15 minutes. Had to ask for a knife to cut and sandwich and received a plastic knife. There was no garnish with the plate, food was just plopped on it. It was tasty, but by the time we got it, we were pretty much over it. Very few wait staff employees. Had to leave your table to go up and order and wait "a very long time". The view and location are awesome, but the service and way things were done are very lacking. We won't be back. read more

The views are wide and open, and you're reminded pretty quickly why this part of Albuquerque is special. Inside, I appreciate the board games. It changes the dynamic from "grab coffee and leave" to "stay and actually spend time." I've seen families playing together, friends catching up, and it gives the space an easy, lived-in feel. It took 15 minutes just to take the order. 45 minutes later when we asked how much longer a man overhead and stated they make orders first come first serve. Understandable but there was only 7 of us there. He came outside continuing to be rude and stated it was his restaurant and if we don't like it we can leave. So we did. Great find found while in the ABQ area: this cafe at the base of the tram with the best view you can drive to in this city. Absolutely magical watching the sunset with a cappuccino and a cookie. My daughter and I had just finished hiking the LaLuz and were very hungry. Rather than waiting an hour to be seated at the restaurant at the top of the mountain, we chose the Homestead because it is conveniently located at the bottom of the Tram. Big mistake. First of all they were out of some staple items like burgers and chicken breasts. We settled instead for a steak salad and chicken tenders. It took 40 minutes for our food to come out and what I received was not a steak salad. It was a salad with the left over fat of what appeared to be Prime Rib. Completely inedible. My daughter's chicken tenders were hard and broke her bracket. We will never go back. read more

Great Coffee, Delicious Pastries with a View! We have spent two mornings viewing hot air balloons from the terrace here. We started with smothered burritos and oat milk latte, finished with outstanding cinnamon pullapart and blueberry cream muffins. The service was wonderful the dining room and bathrooms clean, the parking ample and accessible to the elevator from the disability friendly parking at the rear of the tramway building.
