Had a late lunch just arriving in Paso. We did not look too much into restaurants and chose this one since it was the most busy. Got a classic burger and my partner got the cheesesteak. Both delicious! The shoestring fries were dynamite. Service was good and prompt. read more

Fig Burger+ tri-tip mac n cheese So this was the first time we have ever been to a brewery where you do the self pour and I absolutely love this idea and concept. They give you a card that you scan and pour as much or as little as you want of the beer or wine to try which gives you the control on how much you want to spend on that drink. For this alone I want to give them five stars. Now on to the food my husband ordered an amazing fig Burger was very moist and delicious and the garlic fries that come with it are a 10 out of 10 however I ordered the tri-tip mac and cheese and as you can see in the picture it's penne pasta this is why I have to give them four stars not that it wasn't delicious trust me it was however that is not mac and cheese that is pasta I may sound like I'm being nitpicky but I really wanted mac and cheese not penne pasta. I would come back here if I lived in the area over and over I think it's such a great concept. read more

I went in to try a burger. I ordered it Medium with Waffle Fries. It came out with completely dead, cold regular fries and the burger was so well done I had to have a drink with every bite so I didn't choke and the bacon which wasn't cooked, I removed. I ate half of it only because I was ravenous. The bartender never bothered to ask me if all was well. $20.00 burger is definitely NOT worth it. read more

Just visited on a quick stop into town. It was not too busy but it still took a while to get food ordered. Service was extremely lacking with having to get up on multiple occasions for refills and basic needs. I'm able to forgive this if the food is good but the food was as subpar as it comes. We got 4 items: pesto sandwich, penne pasta, Italian pizza, and the cowboy burger. The best of which was the penne pasta, the other 3 items were inedible to not worth the stomach space. All in all I will never be coming back to this spot again. Great aesthetic with subpar food and service. read more

The food and service were both under-par. We have been eating out for the week on vacation and ordered take out from here. Our worst weal for the week. The older server was quite rude to my friends. The young guy was cool. We ordered two pizzas, hot wings and spaghetti. The pizza was okay - similar to blaze/pieology thin crust style. The hot wings were too salty and no crunch. The spaghetti was barely touched by my girls. We ended up trying a few more spots (roots on railroad, California Coast and district deli) in the area. The drinks/food were much better. After spending the afternoon in Tin City, we were hungry and in the mood for wings on a Wednesday evening. We had seen Blast and Brew while strolling around town after our morning coffee and decided to come back to try some of their offerings. One thing we had missed during COVID is bellying up to the bar. My husband and I prefer the bar when enjoying a casual meal as it's just easier to have a conversation rather than yelling across a table. We seated ourselves at the u-shaped bar and perused the large number of taps on the wall in front of us. Most were beer, but they had a small selection of wines as well. The bartender greeted us quickly and explained how the taps worked (self-serve - you get a card to track how much you drink/owe) and took our order. I loved that we were able to split the wing order into two flavors. We decided on red hot (my husband's choice) and Asian Teriyaki (my choice). The wings were crispy and well cooked. The Asian Teriyaki sauce was as expected - a bit sticky - and I preferred that to the red hot which were just wings coated in Frank's hot sauce. Nevertheless, they were crispy and satisfying. It was quite a surprise when we got our bill and the total was only $13 and change. Apparently, Wednesday is half price day. Drinks and wings were half price. I'm giving this place two stars bcus the wings were actually one of the best I've had. This was our first stop while in town for a wedding, and I just want to say the old red headed lady had a nasty attitude it kind of set a tone to what I "thought" people here were like. First of she said she wasn't our server as we waited to order food idk how she's a bartender when the beer is self pour. She also made a snotty smirk when my husband asked for water with lemon, is that not normal here? We're from San Diego so idk. The beer selection was poor but we didn't expect much. We're friendly people and expected friendly staff but luckily all the other places we visited were a 10/10 like the tiki room and side street ale house. Hire new staff! read more

Had dinner at this location during 49er/Dallas playoff game on 01/22. Place was packed due to the football game. Food was excellent! Wings were large and tasty. Surprisingly, this was the best place we dined at during our short stay in Paso. We actually had no intention of coming here but it was crazy busy at the handful of restaurants downtown. The waits were way too long. We saw that this place was popular so decided to see if we would be able to get seats. We got seats at the bar and was helped immediately. They shows us how to use the alcohol dispensers via the pay as you go card. It was a hit with my husband as he likes to try different beers but also had to drive us back to our hotel. You can make your own pizza as well! We opted for the pre-set fig pizza and sliders. You get three sliders and the garlic fries that came with it was really delicious. I wasn't a fan of the pizza mainly because I like savory pizzas more. My husband enjoyed it. Price is good. Bathroom in the back - shared with other restaurants. read more

Ordered the Primal Burger, which in my humble opinion is second to none and probably one of the best I've had thus far! 4oz (x2) of the freshest, most succulent, meat-forward tasting, and perfectly cooked beef (medium rare) you could ever imagine! WOW, just wow! Superb service the day we came and we were also humbled to have met Chef Marcel who just happened to come out to the dining area to say hello. That speaks volumes in my book. Waitress didn't have any help though, order a bottle wine that must have been offered to three tables taken back and then they came back finally to our table to give it to us. It was very busy on a Saturday and food took a bit to get out. Selection of menu items was good wine and beer list could use some upgrades. Would try them again to give another chance.

I want them to do well...but...they have a few good things...and a few not-so-good that could be improved. I'll try to be constructive. The Good: ========= * Breakfasts: anything/all, large portions, and very good. * Burger/fries: solid. Whether its the lunch/dinner version, or the breakfast one, it's good. * Anything off the smoker: they know what they're doing. * Shrimp Cocktail: wow, the sauce, wow. The Not-so-good: =============== * Suffering after Marty, the host/manager left. He had a wonderful personality, and everyone loved him. Just not the same vibe, and frankly, it was a sucker punch to Spirit. * The menu is boring for lunch and dinner. Bring in some mexican, italian, persian, chinese -- something!
