The review I did last week was a tap bar about a block away. I walked past B & B and it was packed....So I happen to be down here again this Saturday...I found myself a good seat at the bar with four giant TV's. Two were showing the MLB play offs and College ball on the other two. You'll find the basics on the menu heavy on pizza and burger I opted to try their Philly Cheese steak, so we'll see. Fast and hot was the word, the sandwich and onion rings were in front if me in less than ten minutes. The meat was hand carved and very tender peppers were diced and onion was sliced. The point being not enough peppers on the meat. Very good, overall. I spied my neighbors pound of chicken wings really looked like a pound plus. Service was excellent and an attentive friendly bar keep. I drink soda water my bill was under $20...amazing. Another note this is a beer and wine friendly establishment, no spirits. The facility is very nice, the customer service is very good. The cook making the food clearly sucks. My first time here I ordered the Cowboy Burger, onion rings and an ice tea. When the waiter doesn't ask me how it want the beef cooked, that's a red flag!! The beef in the burger was way over cooked, dry as shoe leather. The burger sucked. The onion rings were pretty good. I could have gone to Carls Jr, Wendy's, Jack in the Box, In & Out and had a far better burger for half the price. And I will before I come here again. read more

This place was pretty cool! Never have I seen a self serve beer station like this, great concept with the pay for what you drink (by the oz). Food was excellent I got the sausage mushroom penne, very tasty and savory. Definitely would come back here of passing through this area again. Our server was great and friendly. Place has a cool vibe and the beer wall is awesome... so many different beers to choose from but the service was horrible. We had to ask for the menus and after ordering our appetizers, we had to ask for small plates and silverware. We only got 4 small plates at our table of 9 cause there were not enough clean plates available. Friends ordered chili and had to ask 3 times for spoons for their chili plus they never got the coke they ordered. Customer service needs major improvement. read more

I left so happy from here. The food was absolutely delicious! The asada fries had a bunch of flavor. Wings were crispy and juicy, the burger was to die for, and my child adored her pasta. Our server, nicest lady with the dreadlocks I forgot her name!, she was amazing. Never rushed us, kept a tab on us. The busser was super helpful. Zach helped me on the beer wall, so helpful and inviting! And the TVs are always a win. We are locals, so we will be back! read more

We came in on a Monday during lunch time. The restaurant had about 5-6 tables with customers, and one server. He did a good job taking care of the new and current customers, while making sure the food and drinks came out in a timely manner. And in between, he was showing people how the "pour it yourself" technique worked. The food was good, and made the way we asked. We all ate burgers, and had some fries and tator Tots. The atmosphere had a good vibe for a Monday. All the TVs were working and had different sports playing. We will definitely be back when we come back to Paso. read more

This is a mixed review. I love the self service option of tasting different new beers. With so many taps, the possibilities are enticing. The challenge was that I like West Coast IPAs and they only had a couple before they diverged to mango and other variations. Trying to be everything to everybody can mean you're less to core customers. Bring back Topa Topa Chief Peak please! read more

My colleague and I stopped here for lunch getting into Paso Robles from Los Angeles. We were seated immediately and there wasn't very many people in the restaurant in the middle of the day on a Monday. I ordered a hamburger with a fake meat patty and some fries - both of which are really good! I would recommend this place if you wanted to watch a game with friends because they had a bunch of TVs where any seat could see at least one! read more

We had some pretty good pizza at this place. Thin crust, probably the best pizza I have had in California. Our favorite was the PBJ (pepperoni, banana pepper and jalapeno). Service was also pretty good. We arrived without a reservation but were seated pretty quickly. We loved the self serve tappers. You could try so many beers. They give you a card which you insert in the selected tapper and you can pour as much or as little as you want. I must have tried samples of about 7 or 8 beers before deciding on a winner. read more

Had to wait through cooks break and more before we received our order. No refill on ice tea. Waited a half hour for our check. Finally had to get up and go ask for it. We visited on a Saturday midday and the place wasn't busy. We had a few toddlers with us and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating for our group. I was annoyed that our chicken wings we got towards the end of our meal because we ordered our meal share, our chicken wasn't cooked through specifically the drummettes. I was sooo disappointed but we ate the flats which were cooked through. Im happy both my husband and I didn't get sick. It needed just a tad more time in the oven, it wasnt fall off the bone quality. The other stuff we got was delicious, the carne asada fries was delicious, fig and pig pizza delicious and bacon covered shrimp delicious. Even the self poured beer and wine selection was delicious and I loved the blackberry lemonade delicious! So I was briefly in Paso Robles and decided to park in downtown to find a place to eat at. First place I found was this place! The food is incredible and they have everything from burgers, pizzas, and pastas. One thing I also noticed is the wall of beer and wine on tap. I did not explore to much of that(since I just got done wine tasting and I did not need more alcohol in me). However this was incredible because they had a lot of different options! I hope to try that wall the next time I am in Paso Robles. Parking is very easy to find! Also if you do not mind walking 2 blocks, there is free parking a few blocks away. Just check the signs and you will be set! 100% I would recommend this restaurant! read more

Best burgers we've had in a very long time...possibly best ever! The wife and I shared the Cowboy burger and the California burger. We couldn't agree on which was better. They were both incredible and served with delicious garlic fries. Also, they have one of those self-service beer walls with 36 taps of beer, wine, and seltzer. The Big Sur double IPA was my favorite. Service was good and they have TVs everywhere, showing music videos and college football. I wish I lived in the area because an NFL Sunday there would be epic! read more

Been here a couple times now and it's been consistent. My buddy and I stopped by here got a few beers and some food. Ordered the supreme pizza and some tots. If you can't find a beer here that you like, you're not trying. Holly was an outstanding hostess, patiently walking us through the process of trying their beer offerings ...by the ounce. She was helpful in selecting beers based on our preferences. The same goes for their menu. For food, we settled on their tri-tip salad. It was delicious with a nice balance of meat to green ratio. Self pour FTW!!! We enjoyed eating at this spot in downtown Paso. We went for a hike by the coast and wanted to find a place with beers and burgers. This spot is located in downtown Paso, street parking and if have time, take a stroll around...walk to the park area. We were lucky to find parking close to the restaurant and when we walked in, we were greeted right away. We opted for a high table (me plus husband and our 12 yr old). The first thing that caught my attention was the beer selection. Ask the server for a card and pour away! I had the wings and these asada fries. Perfect parking with my beer(s). This is a very cool spot for families. There is something for everyone and they have tv's for sports games/events. I would definitely come back here!! read more

I had been to something like this before in Santa Cruz but my dad had never been here. So I forced him to try a new place and he really enjoyed coming here. He loves the idea of pouring your own beers and being charged by the ounce. He was able to try several different beers without committing to one. We both really enjoyed the food. The garlic fries were delicious and loved the skinny fries. The bbq was a sweet bbq which I love. I hope to come back and try the wings that they are known for. This place lost me as soon as i walked in. The new "self serve" concept leaves out everything that is important to dining. There are only a couple people in the restaurant essentially just servers, but it turned out later that they were also making our food. The self-serve beer concept was a fail and it immediately charged me $.30 just to out the card in the slot. Second beer tap was dead (you would think their smart tap system could tell), and charged me again for that. I finally got a glass of beer to pour in the third try only to find it was totally flat - by then i was fed up. We ordered anyway, despite the initial warnings. The server made our food, and it was not clear she washed her hands before doing so. The food itself was bad- like airport box lunch bad, which only made it worse. I have had better things out of a microwave - and i am not convinced this wasn't. It seems like this place decided that having TVs instead servers was a good idea and that somehow serving yourself created value rather than having table service. Some genius Silicon Valley guy who thinks he can start restaurant franchise where there OSS only a Skelton crew there to give the idea that it isn't automated. The whole thing felt kind of like some .com idea of streamlined business model where they have a few people serve as necessary to keep the doors open. It felt ugly, impersonal, and kind of exploitive. Who knows, maybe we should have ordered pizza. It looked like it was fresh made. Food portions are way too small for the prices they're asking... $17 for a steak salad that fits in a cereal bowl... $17 for probably less than a cup of brussels sprouts spread thin over along plate... not cool...
