My husband chose a black n blue burger slider and French brussel sprouts and I chose a Back to basics berry salad with pesto chicken on it. (They have recommended meats for each salad which was helpful). I really like the raspberry vinaigrette on my salad and the pesto chicken was tangy and delicious as well. My husband said his meal was the perfect amount as we were less hungry than usual after our brunch earlier. A bit louder than I prefer inside, but we could still talk and hear each other. The patio seating looked lovely but might've been a bit too warm, so overall I was pleased with our seats.

The service is always friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is clean and spacious, and the menu truly has something for everyone. It's the kind of place where everyone at the table can find something they're excited to order, and we always leave happy. But I have to give a special shoutout to the soups. Their chef makes some of the BEST soups. They're creative, flavorful, comforting, and consistently delicious. I'm not saying I plan my life around soup season...but soup season is coming, and Odyssey is ready. Great food, genuinely friendly service, a comfortable atmosphere, and consistently good experiences. We really enjoy eating here and are lucky to have Odyssey in our community. And seriously--get the soup.

Located in Downtown Paso, parking is usually easiest to find in the parking lot behind them, 1 block back. The food--flavorful, served quickly, excellent portions (not too much, not too little), and just a great price. Their Wednesday special, my favorite, is chicken parmesan with a glass of wine and a side for $20. $20! Dinner is served in a short time frame, plated perfectly. This is not a 3-course meal, everything served separately. They are not pouring the glass of water for me. This is a tasty, perfectly plated dish being served to me, along with any accompanying sides. Their staff is wonderful. Oscar is super personable as is everyone else, I just don't know their names. Please get off and after making that left on 13 th St and then Pine park your vehicle and experience a life changing meal at Ziggy's - this is not an exaggeration! You have to get the Korean Fried Cauliflower or KFC drizzled with the OMG gochujang sauce! One bite and game over!! That beautiful bold, spicy n sweet addicting umami flavor! This is from the heart and taste buds of a guy who used to love steak, burgers and could eat 3 double whoppers at BK with large fries and still have room for dessert! We requested more sauce as we were just in love with this item. The very kind gentleman at the counter ( his 21st birthday day is on Tuesday 10/28) gave us a big container. We then turned to the Taquitos with the chipotle and Julio sauces and just closed our eyes and relished every bite. The chef was smiling as he saw us really enjoying this meal. The mushrooms on the burger were divine. The melted cheese was amazing. Our smiles got bigger as we realized we had more of these Korean Fried Cauliflower bites in the untouched Cauli bowl. So extra sauce and even more fun! You can order on the computer outside or walk in and do so at the counter. There are 3 tables with seating for 10 and a couple outside. Loved that NASCAR was in the tele and they had paper and crayons for the kids. They have a dual set up with Sylvester's ( non veg food) also in the same location but they prepare the food in separate stations. Love that! Ziggy's is a must stop. I will look for your 5 star review real soon. Enjoy!

We spent $186 here, and unfortunately the food just did not come close to matching the price…read more I'll give credit where it's due: the cornbread was excellent -- 5/5. Easily the best thing we ate. The chips were also really good -- 4/5. The mac & cheese was decent, about a 3/5. Nothing amazing, but I'd eat it again. Then we got to the BBQ. The tacos were maybe a 1.5-2/5. They were packed with toppings and looked like they should have had a ton of flavor, but somehow they were still really bland. The brisket was a 1/5. It was dry and just not what I expect from a BBQ restaurant, especially at these prices. And the burnt ends were honestly a 0.025/5. They were ridiculously tough and hard to chew. Burnt ends should be rich, tender and one of the best bites at a BBQ place. These were easily the worst thing we ordered. For $186, I expected a hell of a lot better. When the cornbread and chips are the highlights of a BBQ meal and the actual BBQ is the weakest part, there's a problem. Cornbread: 5/5 Chips: 4/5 Mac & cheese: 3/5 Tacos: 1.5-2/5 Brisket: 1/5 Burnt ends: 0.025/5 Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but based on the meal we were served, I wouldn't spend the money to come back.

6 Star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert…read more SIX STAR ALERT. SIX STAR ALERT. That right people, I said it.... And 6 times to be exact! Because let me tell you, the Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles not only deserves those 6 stars, but they truly EARNED each & every star (plus a bonus star) that I am awarding them for their exceptional hospitality. Now, let me tell you why! While in Paso for my wife's weekend birthday getaway, we had such fun time casually strolling the streets with no where to be. While window shopping, going in and out of the various shops, and just meandering through the downtown area.... We suddenly came across a little business called: The Spice of Life From the outside, it was pretty obvious what we were about to get into... ----Spices----Herbs----Teas---- Hey, they had me at Spices, but the rest is what kept me from leaving there anytime soon. Upon entering this quaint little shop, we were immediately immersed into a world that I Love. Spices, Spices and more Spices!!! Yeah, I'm that guy that at home, not in public of course, that will put a little spice on my hand and lick it off (to test it of course). I know, but I'm just a spice freak, what can I say! Yeah, give me a good lemon pepper, a blended steak seasoning or even a Kansas City Bbq Rub and I'll gladly give it the "Lance Lick of Approval". Yeah, I'm a Spice Man, & I'm not afraid to admit it. And let me tell you, this place has got spices!! Yeah, there are Jars and Jars, & more Jars of the finest, most incredible spices you can dream of. But on Top of the Spices... There are Oils, Vinegars, Teas, Tea Accessories, Herbal Supplements, Books, and More! And with all that shopping... Why not grab a quick bite alongside a freshly brewed coffee or tea at their mini cafe right on the premises. Heck, we did! (We had the Vanilla Chai Tea Latte) And it was Fire! So what makes this place earn a well deserved 6 star review?? It wasn't just their great product. Or even their beautifully prepared drink. It was their hospitality, their graciousness, and the human connection that we felt that went above the typical customer vs. retailer interaction. The lady who assisted us (forgive me but I forget her name) but she might have been maybe the owner or maybe even manager of the place was so kind, helpful and made our experience exceptional, so thank you for that! With so many great gift ideas and things that we needed for our own household, you know we did some damage and got a few things to take back home. So.... If you are a fan of spices like me, love yourself some tea, are looking for some unique, fun gift ideas or just want to enjoy a nice, quaint shop where the service hopefully exceeds your expectations like it did for me... Then take my highly recommended suggestion and get over to the... Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles ASAP!!!

Road tripping and in Paso Robles, CA…read more We wanted breakfast. So we did some internet sleuthing and saw the Red Scooter Deli. So off we went. We ended up at the Red Scoot location on 6th. They have two locations which we found out later. Initially we were headed to the one in downtown. This location on 6th Street is in a retail suburban type of shopping plaza. Plenty of parking. This location has no indoor seating, it's all outdoor patio which is covered. Basic patio, not alot of character or ambiance. But so much potential. As I was sitting enjoying my food; I noticed a lot of folks taking their orders to go and many picking up catering. It's counter service and not particularly roomy inside with folks standing in line and others moving about can get crowded. We ordered a plain toasted bagel with roasted red pepper schmear. They are generous with the spread. Nice! Lactose intolerant me just popped a pill and indulged. And we also ordered a breakfast sandwich on croissant with bacon. Yum. That croissant wasn't flimsy but also not too dense either. The sandwich was picture prefect. Next time I'm in Paso, I'll give their downtown locale a go.
